Hua Hin in Bayreuth

A consistently excellent culinary option: "Hua Hin" in Bayreuth. For several years now, they've been serving top-notch Thai cuisine. It's well worth trying their soups, each one a highlight. The main courses are also delicious, especially the duck dishes. The service is friendly and attentive, and you won't have to wait long. The restaurant is decorated in a typical Thai style, transporting guests to faraway lands. It's located in the heart of Bayreuth's most beautiful historic city center, not far from the Jean Paul Monument. Prices are reasonable. Reservations are highly recommended.

Great food and friendly service.

A generous two stars here because this establishment typically has decent food (for Bayreuth -important caveat). But whatever you do, don’t get fried rice. The rice was pretty mushy and kind of salty. Fried rice 101 failed. My dining companions did mostly have decent food, I must admit. But one thing we all agreed on was the egregious service. And some of it definitely seemed racially motivated. They would fawn over and hover near the white customers and have zero patience with us. Also, if they had multiple plates of food, they would literally bypass our table and then return. Bizarre to watch in practice. To be forewarned is to be forearmed.

It's simple, tasty, and affordable. The lunch menu selection is highly recommended.

Absolutely incredible!! I come to Hua Hin once or twice a year especially from Frankfurt!! Nowhere else does Thai food taste as good!! Don't miss it!

Ich besuche dieses Lokal schon seit vielen Jahren, es war immer sehr gut ,freundlich. Ich esse immer Merresfrüchte .Leider konnte ich in meinem Essen 3 Scheiben karoten ,1 Muschel, 2 calarmaris Teilchen finden, sosse ,Reis. Ich war wirklich sehr enttäuscht und ensetzt .Geschmacklich sehr gut ...ach 1 pilz war noch drin sorry das kann man nicht machen ! Meine Freunde haben Ente und Huhn gute ,normale Portion. Das war einfach eine Frechheit!

Very hospitable, the food was excellent, and the duck was crispy, just as it should be. The restrooms are also clean, which some operators could learn a thing or two from. A free soup was included in the lunch menu. All in all, perfect 👍

ATTENTION: Life-threatening and irresponsible – absolutely unsuitable for allergy sufferers I ordered food and specifically mentioned my severe peanut allergy several times - both when ordering and when picking it up. Despite this, the dish was full of visible peanuts, which was immediately apparent upon opening. If I hadn't looked closely, it could have been life-threatening for me. The worst: Instead of apologizing or taking responsibility, we were initially brazenly told on the phone that there were no peanuts in it - even though we clearly saw them. This ignorance of a known, serious allergy is negligent, dangerous and completely unacceptable. I will report the incident to the relevant authorities and consumer protection. Anyone with allergies or intolerances should definitely avoid this restaurant.

The Hua Hin is beautifully decorated and it brings a very nice ambience. The sour and spicy chicken soup is highly recommended. Really great

So far I would have given it 4-5* after several visits... however the food on the last visit wasn't good. It was bland and without flavor/spice (even though I actually ordered with a chili). The ingredients are no longer what they used to be. It was a lunch dish...maybe. More effort is made in the evening. The atmosphere is very nice and the staff is partly good and partly okay.

A very good Thai restaurant. The meals were very delicious and the cocktails equally good. HOWEVER the service is very terrible. Specifically, the main employee is rude, never smiles, and acts angry every time we visit. We wish she was friendly and more welcoming as the food is so good.

was crowdy at Saturday but they have found a table for us. So for sure it is better to book a table. We like Thai food but here we found Tom Yam not so spicy but salty. Our 9 year old daughter was happy to eat this change. We May ordered a wrong article and need to try it again. A rice with schrimps was very tasty. Jasmin tea was served in a small nice teapot. The decert with ananases was also good and our son was happy to see ice cream inside. Atmosphere is fine.

I picked up some takeaway the other day. The portion was tiny, tasted bland and was also quite expensive. Once and never again. It's a shame, I work right next door and would have liked to come regularly. However, the employee was quite friendly.

A cozy atmosphere with delicious food rounded off a lovely evening. The prices are okay too. However, the long wait for the food and the inattentive staff were unfortunately a big negative. Unfortunately, there are hardly any parking options nearby. This was not taken into account in the review.

Unfortunately it has diminished significantly over time. It's Thai for stomach sufferers. The spice and spiciness are missing. That was what we used to have. Other, cheaper ingredients are now also used. You can notice it in the sauces and salads, actually in every dish. We used to go here more often but it's starting to taste just as bland as other Asian snacks.

We recently visited the restaurant as a group and were satisfied. As soon as we entered we were warmly welcomed and the atmosphere was pleasant. The service was extremely attentive. The drinks were served quickly and the appetizers came quickly too. We were particularly pleasantly surprised that the main courses were served at the same time despite different order times - that's a detail that we really appreciate. There was also nothing to complain about in terms of cuisine. The starters and main courses were delicious, especially the spiciness of dishes with three peppers on the spiciness scale was just right - spicy but not overly so. However, you should avoid these dishes if you don't like it spicy. Even though the prices were a little higher in some places, we found the price-performance ratio to be reasonable. All in all, a successful evening and we will definitely be back!

We come to this restaurant regularly and have never been disappointed. Super tasty, light & fresh dishes at a really fair price. Absolutely recommended! 🩷 The small beer garden at the back is just a place to feel good.

TomYum suppen var super lækker (men uden kokosmælk), men rejechipsene for gamle og det var den mindste Campari-orange, jeg længe har fået. Vi var 3 voksne, der fik en menu med suppe (lækker), forårsruller (sprøde men uden smag), stegt kylling med cashewnødder (kyllingen var gummi og nødderne helt udblødte), and (ok) og kylling i kokosmælk (rimelig god). Mindste mand fik pomfritter, der havde fået ALT for meget salt. Serveringen virkede trætte og som om de helst bare ville hjem i seng og tallerkner og bestik blev bare sat i en stak ved bordet sammen med servietter, som vi så selv kunne fordele. Vi var skuffede og kan ikke genkende de 4,5 stjerner.

Even though we didn't have a reservation for lunch, we got a table! Fast, friendly service and high-quality menus with soup or spring rolls. At around 10 euros, a good price for an inner-city restaurant! It's really worth a detour!

We visited on a cold, wet night in March, so there were not many people about, and the restaurant was fairly empty. There were six of us, so we had plenty of space. Service was helpful and friendly and the food was very good (in my limited experience of Thai food). I had a soup to start and then sweet and sour style prawns, which was very tasty and not overly sweet, as in some Chinese restaurants. The wine was good value in 1L bottles, although not the highest quality (you get what you pay for) - but drinkable. As we struggled to find anywhere open that had space, we were very pleased to be accommodated in this warm, nicely decorated space.

Went there spontaneously for dinner. Tom Yam Gai Soup. Classic, very tasty. For the main course, fried duck in peanut sauce & chicken in coconut milk with vegetables. Also tasted fabulous. Can't complain about anything. Staff friendly and prices fair. The ambience is simple but still appropriate. We'd love to come back.

Good food, you have to wait a little longer or longer depending on the company, but overall everything is good and the service is very quick and nice.

The curry in this restaurant is better than the curry I have eaten in cities such as Wiesbaden and Oberhausen. It is the best curry I have ever eaten in Germany. The curry at Hua Hin is very rich and delicious (the curry in many restaurants is as thin as water). I guess Hua Hin has a secret recipe for making curry. If you don’t like spicy food, I recommend the potato, carrot, onion and peanut curry. The coconut milk chicken soup is very delicious. The main customers are senior citizens (who always know which restaurant is good.) The food is very reasonably priced. Google is undervalued with a score of 4.4. Some reviews say that the food here is like Chinese food. I can only say that the fried rice tastes a bit like the fried rice on the southeastern coast of China, not as salty. Spring rolls are originally a Chinese dish. There are many types of Chinese food, and the tastes of cuisines vary greatly from place to place. Some dishes in Thai food happen to be similar to Chinese food, which is very normal.

The restaurant is functionally furnished. The staff was attentive. The starters and main courses were good. The price-performance ratio of the lunch menu is excellent. The coconut milk soup had a very good taste and lots of fresh vegetables. It's very good that you can change the type of meat for the main courses.

Sehr feines Essen zu zivilen Preisen (Mittagskarte auch am Samstag!) Dazu noch eine freundliche und geduldige Bedienung - was will man mehr!

Essen ist weit entfernt von thailändisch, Tofu war teilweise sauer und die Portionen sind sehr klein für den Preis. Habe tatsächlich auch noch nie Angestellte/Bedienungen erlebt, denen die Lustlosigkeit so ins Gesicht geschrieben war.

Mein Gericht war leider ohne Thai Basilikum, obwohl das im Gericht extra dabei stand. Auf Nachfrage hieß es, das hätten sie heute nicht. Von scharf wurde mir abgeraten, dafür war das Essen dann fad

Das Essen war nicht sooo schlecht, aber das Thai Restaurant ist kein THAI RESTAuRANT!!! Das Essen ist einfach nur asiatisch. Von dem her waren wir als Thai Liebhaber sehr enttäuscht. Zumal es auch heißt, dass dies der beste Thai Bayreuths ist. Das spricht leider nicht für Bayreuth :/ Da sich das Restaurant als Thai Restaurant bezeichnet und wir auch gern Thai essen wollten, und nicht asiatisch, kann ich leider nur drei Sterne vergeben. Nicht Phad Thai bestellen! Das sind einfach nur gebratene Nudeln!

Wir waren heute zu zweit zum Büfett dort. Die Auswahl war gut und vor allem war alles frisch zubereitet. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Ambiente ist sehr gemütlich. Gerne wieder.

Naprawdę wspaniała kuchnia wschodu. Jeszcze wszystkiego nie próbowałem ale mam zamiar. Klimat też jak na wschodnią kuchnię.

Ostermontag mit 6 Personen. Die Damen im Service waren sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Ich bin kein Thai Küchen Kenner, aber zu chinesischen Gerichten war kein Unterschied. Irgendwie war es ohne Geschmack, natürlich kann man nachwürzen, aber mit Salz und Pfeffer bekam ich auch kein thailändisch hin. Schade.

Schmeckt gut aber das ist kein thailändisch sondern chinesisch. Also sollte man keine typische Thai Küche erwarten. Und innen alles bisschen eng und stickig

Wir waren zu sechst Abendessen, mit Reservierung 17:30. Der erste Eindruck, im Eingang die Tetra Packs Getränke, innen alter Rauch Geruch. Ca 18 Uhr hatten wir die Getränke, das Lokal fühlte sich sehr schnell (Fenster geschlossen, keine Klima) Gäste die nach uns kamen, hatten ihre Speisen vor uns, wir ca. 19:15 und die per Handzettel aufgenommene Bestellung war nicht vollständig. Nachgefragt ob wir (Getränke leer) noch etwas trinken möchten wurde nicht. Die Speisekarte ist sehr lang, tatsächlich ist es wie beim Chinesen. Eine digitale Rechnung gibt es nicht, nur auf Nachfrage, was ich sehr merkwürdig fand bzw mir einige Fragen aufkommen ließ....., sicher ein lukratives Lokal....

Das Restaurant ist kein original Thai Restaurant, sondern ein asiatisches Restaurant. Wer die Thai Küche kennt und liebt, wird dies ziemlich schnell merken. Wer original Thai Küche erwartet, dürfte etwas enttäuscht sein. Allerdings für asiatische Küche ist das Restaurant Hua Hin durchaus empfehlenswert. Große Auswahl an Gerichten wie in asiatischen Restaurants üblich. Freundlicher und aufmerksamer Service. Alle Gerichte werden frisch und schnell zubereitet, dies bedeutet keine große Wartezeiten. Besonders hervorzuheben ist der preiswerte Mittagstisch von Dienstag bis Samstag mit einer Vorspeise nach Wahl (sauer-scharfe Hühnersuppe, Kokosmilch-Hühnersuppe oder Thai-Frühlingsrollen). Alles in allem ein gutes asiatisches Restaurant und eine Bereicherung für Bayreuth.

Von Dienstag bis Samstag preiswerter Mittagstisch mit einer Vorspeise zur Wahl (sauer-scharfe Hühnersuppe, Kokosmilch-Hühnersuppe oder Thai-Frühlingsrollen). Alles in allem ein sehr gutes Asia Restaurant und eine Bereicherung für Bayreuth.

Wir waren zu viert im Restaurant, hatte reserviert. Obwohl das Restaurant gut besucht war gab es kaum Wartezeiten bei der Bestellung und dem Service der Getränke und dem außerordentlich leckerem Essen.

Hier wird eine große Auswahl von teils auch eher ausgefallenen Gerichten (z.B. flambierte Ente) geboten. Das Essen wurde prompt serviert und war super lecker. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt hier absolut.

Sehr gutes Restaurant mit einem tollen kleinen Außenbereich im Innenhof. Das Essen wurde schnell zubereitet, obwohl viel los war und hat sehr gut geschmeckt.

Agradab lugar con un buen servicio. La carta menú es amplia. Los platos a pesar de indicar tres guindillas no pican. Se echaba de menos el sabor fuerte la comida tailandesa.

Met plezier gegeten bij deze Thai. Het restaurant is klassiek maar sfeervol ingericht en bij mooi weer kun je prima buiten zitten. De gerechten zijn zeer smaakvol en drie pepertjes is gewoon lekker pittig, maar niet té. Ligging vlakbij het Neues Schloss, dus behoorlijk centraal.

Wie immer sehr gut. Günstiges Mittagsmenue! Immer mit Suppe oder Frühlingsrollen als Vorspesse wählbar.

Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist klasse. Das Fleisch der Hauptgerichte hatte eine Top-Qualität und war in keinster Weise zäh. Zwar hat die Raffinesse beim Würzen gefehlt und nicht ganz landestypisch, sondern eher für europäische Gaumen geeignet, aber trotzdem schmackhaft. Das Restaurant war gut besucht, so dass eine Reservierung zu empfehlen ist.

Guter Thailänder wo man unkompliziert schnell und gut was essen kann die Ente war schön knusprig und saftig!!!

Sind seit vielen Jahren Stammkunden im Hua Hin. Die Bedingungen sind immer sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Essen ist perfekt, frische Zutaten und super zubereitet. Kommen immer wieder gerne. :)

Extrem schmackhafte thailändische Küche mit Original-Geschmack. So wie dieses Lokal bekommt kein anderer Thai in Bayreuth seine Gerichte hin. Mittags sehr gute Angebote, am Abend adäquate Preise. Angenehmer kleiner Garten im Sommer.
