I've been a loyal customer of "Iskender Döner" for many years, but unfortunately, that's all over now. Regarding the issue of "stamp card or loyalty pass," an employee made a very unpleasant and unnecessary mistake towards me, which I can neither forget nor forgive.

It's a kebab shop, it's always good.

I pre-ordered two doner kebabs today, everything went smoothly. The food there is generally very good, and everyone is always friendly. It's the only doner kebab in Bayreuth that I regularly eat. Keep it up!

Good food and lots of handmade items

By far the best authentic doner kebab. A real Iskender doner kebab, by the way, doesn't have a choice of sauces anywhere; that's how it's supposed to be. No disgusting minced meat mixture, the meat isn't over-seasoned, and the bread is freshly made in-house. What more could you want for €7?

The food was delicious. The homemade bread from the very nice lady was also incredibly tasty.

I know many kebab shops, but this one in Bayreuth is simply unbeatable. The lady prepares the bread fresh and perfectly every time – always hot, always delicious, and of top quality. The entire team is exceptionally friendly; you feel welcome every time. The taste is consistently outstanding, no matter when you come. The Adana is world-class! I drive 20 kilometers just to eat there – and it's absolutely worth it every single time. Thank you so much for the consistently great food and the superb service!

I had a dürüm döner. The meat tasted good, but it was a bit overcooked, meaning dry. No choice of sauces? And the sauce tasted truly awful. The flatbread was tough as leather. No thanks. There are much better options...

The doner kebab is noticeably salty. Furthermore, the meat is either cooked too close to the fire or at too high a temperature, which is why the doner kebab is quite burnt. Otherwise, it tastes good. However, due to the two aforementioned shortcomings, I cannot recommend it.

I came just before closing time and had a really great meal. The kebab was amazing. The meat wasn't your average. I have to say, the owner was pretty clever with the whole thing. The kebab is a bit smaller, but you don't pay more for it. Awesome, saved my evening yesterday 😃❤️

I had a doner kebab in flatbread. It cost €7, but it was very small. Very poor value for money. It was the smallest doner kebab I've ever eaten. In other kebab shops, the children's doner kebab is larger. There's no sauce selection.

This used to be the best kebab shop in town, but it's been resting on its laurels too much... The kebabs and kebab plates are getting smaller and smaller and are simply "slapped together" without any love. It was much better back then, when you still had a family feeling every time you entered the shop. I already reviewed the shop two years ago, and back then I gave it 5 stars with all my heart, but unfortunately, I can no longer stand behind that. The shop has been expanded but the products have been neglected, which is a real shame.

Absolutely delicious! We had the Döner Dürüm here and it was amazing , just like the real Turkish döner in Turkey. Fresh, flavorful and perfectly prepared. Highly recommend!

By far the best kebab I have ever eaten.

It would be cool if the salesperson used basic politeness like "hello, please, thank you, bye." Even the customers' "hello" and "bye" are ignored. A no-go: Standing there and working through everyone like an assembly line, without any emotion. The colleague who then tops the kebabs is friendly, though. The kebabs taste good, though.

I ate by far the worst kebab of my life here.

We were there for the first time and the last time... We were very disappointed by the salad selection (tomatoes, onions, lettuce) and the fact that there was only one sauce, and it wasn't even labeled. Furthermore, the sauce had no taste at all, and the doner bread was tough. The doner wasn't coated well either. On top of that, the service was rude; one employee had headphones in and could only hear with one ear.

The most authentic kebab in all of Bayreuth, very minimalistic, with "only" garlic sauce, tomatoes, onions, lettuce, and outstanding meat. Everything here is always fresh and delicious, a clear favorite in Bayreuth!

Never had such a bad kebab. The meat was burnt and extremely tough, the sauce was too salty, there was only one kind of salad on it, and the bun was soggy from the warming box. Furthermore, they didn't accept card payments, even though this wasn't stated or advertised anywhere. The service was also unfriendly. Therefore, only one star and definitely not eating from this place again.

Yesterday, I ordered four XXL durums for pickup for myself and my colleagues. Upon arriving at the office, however, we discovered that the durums were standard sizes. This wouldn't be a big deal in itself, but the price of €11 per durum seems unreasonable under the circumstances.

DE: A great place – since they prepare their own doner kebabs, it doesn't have an artificial taste like the others. The lavash bread is also homemade, so there's no artificial taste there either. I love it; ever since I tried it, I always go here when I want to eat doner outside. I come once or twice a week. With all the doner kebabs I've had in Germany, I was bothered by that artificial taste, but here I find it really good. The salad selection isn't particularly large, but that doesn't bother me at all – otherwise, you can't really taste the meat. They are also very warm and hospitable. In my opinion, this is the best meat doner I've had in Bayreuth. TR: I'm really happy with this place, but the doner kebabs are delicious and the service is amazing. I ordered through Uber Eats. The meat in the kebab was old and had a bad smell. I am very dissatisfied with it.

I would like to give 5 stars, but sometimes the sauce for the kebab is slightly oversalted 😅 and then my husband can eat it because I'm really sensitive to salt.. however, I fell in love with the meat skewer box 😍.. it's an absolute dream... although sometimes there's a grilled tomato included and sometimes not. That's a bit of a shame, because it definitely makes the box perfect... otherwise I can't complain... the operators and employees are really nice and nice... they pick something up there every week...

Iskender Döner shares first place with adolu for the best quality kebab in Bayreuth. The meat is the finest product and the kebab is not overloaded, but makes do with little. Price is the same as anywhere in the city. I don't know of any long waiting times there. The only annoying thing is the location. It's quite far out of town, so it's actually not that easy to reach on foot. But it's not that great by car because the parking lot is tiny and you're immediately blocked. That's often not a big deal because you just ask people around and then let them out, but it's a bit annoying. I've never tested the lifer service, I only ever see the cars.

If the food is saltier than the Ayran itself, it already indicates a lack of quality. We have already been told several times that this is the best kebab in Bayreuth and we want to test it personally. But what we received was unfortunately disappointing. The meat was fatty and quite tough. The sauce was just a thin tzatziki sauce and the only topping was a few lettuce leaves and two slices of tomatoes. And black hair (but we are blonde). We had two dishes for 22.50, which is quite expensive, but at least it gave us a stomach ache. I'll stick with the friendly competition downtown...

The order is completely irrelevant. Despite asking several times, I didn't get what I wanted and the employee was unreasonable.

It's okay, but it's a little bit in the kebab

Unfortunately I can only agree with the previous comments, the kebab was always good and filled with plenty, we recently got us a lahmacun, not even 50g of meat, we were literally looking for it. There was also very little salad and sauce, there were still 2 skewers hanging and it was just 7 p.m. No longer recommended...

That makes you feel like you're being taken for a ride. A mini kebab in chewy bread. Elsewhere this falls into the children's kebab category. No sauces to choose from. No blue or white cabbage on it. There was also no tomato or cucumber, everything you would expect on a kebab. The only thing that was tasty was the meat, but that was it. Never again.

I have rarely eaten such a bad Dürüm kebab. The meat was far too little and burnt - dry and bitter in taste. The Dürüm bread was completely raw and extremely tough, you could hardly take a bite, let alone enjoy it. There were far too many onions that overpowered the entire taste. Overall, an absolute disaster in terms of taste. And €8 for that, that's ridiculous. Absolutely not recommended!!! Never again! 👎 Staff was quite nice. Ambience ok.

Absolutely not recommended. We had a vegetarian Yufka and a large kebab box. The quantity is a joke, far too little and the fries are bad. The yufka was just filled with onions and a slice of tomato with a little lettuce. After we were there we got something to eat somewhere else. So far, every kebab in Bayreuth has tasted better.

Last night I ate kebab for the second time (to take away). 2 months ago I was very disappointed with an extremely greasy kebab box and yesterday with a kebab that had hardly any content in the bread for €7. I had a stomach ache 2 months ago and last night I was allowed to spend the whole night on the toilet and even now I still feel incredibly nauseous and have a stomach ache. Some of the meat was so gristly and fatty that I felt sick eating it. My partner said that it used to be much better and now unfortunately not only the quality of the food has deteriorated, but also the friendliness of the service. In conclusion, all I can say is, consider ordering it there, because I wouldn't wish that kind of pain on anyone. The prices are also really outrageous, the prices in Leipzig are cheaper.

Unfortunately everything was very hectic when ordering. 6 euros for a relatively small doner kebab is a lot of money. If you then have to pay an extra euro for the red cabbage you want without mentioning it, then it gets cheeky. I'll accept 50 cents for an extra ingredient for a salad. Positive: The homemade bread.

I sell in my own doner shop 5 days a week. It has become our go-to place when we go to Bayreuth on the weekends.

The kebab is really great! The price too! But the ambience, the cleanliness of the branch... -Floor totally dirty -Tables are dirty -The work counters and furniture are also totally dirty

Standing with your motorhome about 700 m from the kebab man. My husband got us 2 kebabs and 2x fries. Fries hot and really tasty, kebab almost cold, dumplings not fully baked, like chewing gum, filled with a bit of salad, plenty of meat and a few onions. At home there is kebab with salad, coleslaw, onions, tomatoes 🤷‍♀️All in all not tasty, half “Los Tonnos” 😏 and that for 19€ I or we no longer! Too bad 😏

My order was taken grumpily, I had to correct it, which resulted in one kebab for the ton... I was handed the bag without a word and was allowed to take napkins myself...

Very friendly and efficient, and more than well attended (and rightly so). The meat is impeccable and you always fill the kebab really well, so despite the low prices (6 euros per kebab), you don't save on anything, neither in size nor in meat or ingredients. The XL kebab is also worth it here, because you get almost twice as much for just 3 euros more! The staff is always friendly, although very short, especially on weekends when the store is overrun. All in all, the best kebab in all of Bayreuth!

It doesn't sound like much at first, but it will knock your socks off! It simply tastes incredibly good, a really legendary taste that goes with everything. Meat, bread, salad – everything harmonizes perfectly. So, if you want a really good kebab where everything is just right, then go to Iskender Döner. Bring your people and enjoy the best kebab experience ever!

Iskender kebab... Unfortunately a bit disappointing. There were a few problems when we ordered, which meant that we ended up receiving something completely different than what we had ordered. Unfortunately, the quality of the food didn't allow us to overlook the service. The meat was extremely fatty and contained pieces of cartilage. The ingredients on the kebab were also quite sparse: only iceberg lettuce, onions and tomatoes were present. I would definitely have liked more variety and freshness. The seating area was nice and the toilets were clean.

You were allowed to use the toilet but the meat was too dry.

Friendly staff however the meat was quite dry and cold. The “Tzaziki” also only tasted like unseasoned quark.

Unfortunately, today was the last time I bought a kebab there. It used to be the best kebab in Bayreuth, but unfortunately it has declined significantly. The flatbread is freshly baked and the accompanying salads and sauces are fresh, but the kebab meat is just something to get rid of. After receiving meat from two kebab skewers several times, it was a disaster this afternoon. I ordered a kebab at 12 o'clock and I got the meat from the day before. I understand that the meat from the day before has to be used up, but it's not possible that I have to pay the full price of €6 for it!! If you put the kebab from the previous day completely on the bread, you should at least sell the kebab at half price in fairness. Today's kebab was so dry and grilled. Sorry guys, but that's how you can completely alienate your regular customers. For me it was It's definitely that now. I'll never enter the store again. For €6 I can get a fresh kebab with fresh grilled meat all over Bayreuth at lunchtime at 12:00 and not the grilled one from the lecture.
