Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist ebenfalls top. Wir kommen gerne wieder, vielen Dank!

Ein schönes Restaurant, sehr freundliche, angenehme Bedienung und alle veganen Essen, die wir hatten, waren ein Gedicht. Den beiden Fleischessern hat es auch sehr gut geschmeckt. Wir kommen sehr bald wieder, war ein richtig schöner Abend.

Kleiner Geheimtipp am Rande der Solinger Innenstadt. Nimmt man fast gar nicht wahr, aber es lohnt sich da zu essen! Auf jeden Fall eine Aufwertung des kulinarischen Genusses in Solingen! Die Speisen waren sehr lecker und der Service super! Der Kollege hat sich Mühe gegeben. 👌

Wir waren gestern zum ersten mal da. Das Essen war sehr lecker und auch die Vegetarische Auswahl sehr groß. Wir werden auf jeden Fall nochmal wieder kommen um noch andere Gerichte auszuprobieren!

Richtig leckeres Essen. Wir hatten eine vegane Mischplatte und eine Suppe mit veganem Fleisch (Beyond Meat). Klasse Saucen Empfehlung erhalten. Super Service. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Wir sind am Himmelfahrtsabend das erste Mal im How Bao gewesen. Unsere Meinung zu diesem kleinen Restaurant ist hervorragend. Das Essen hat uns vorzüglich geschmeckt. Was uns aber noch besser gefallen hat, war die Freundlichkeit und die Aufmerksamkeit des Einhabers. Selten in der Gastronomie solch einen netten, sympathischen Mann kennengelernt. Leute, geht dort essen. Es lohnt sich wirklich.

Ich kenne keinen anderen Laden in den die Besitzer so viel Herzblut stecken, man wird immer freundlich bedient und das Essen ist der Wahnsinn, bleibt genau so wie ihr seid.

How Bao zeigt eindrucksvoll, dass gutes Streetfood oft mehr kulinarische Seele besitzt als manches große Restaurantkonzept. Gerade weil How Bao kompromisslos Streetfood ist, funktioniert der Laden so hervorragend: direkt, ehrlich, aromatisch und ohne den künstlichen Ballast vieler überladener Asia-Fusion-Karten. Während sich zahlreiche China-Buffets vor allem über Quantität definieren und mit riesiger Auswahl statt echtem Geschmack überzeugen wollen, konzentriert sich How Bao lieber auf wenige Dinge, die dafür richtig gut gemacht sind. Keine endlosen Warmhaltebehälter, keine austauschbaren Standardgerichte – sondern frische, saftige Baos mit eigener Handschrift und klaren Aromen. Und genau darin liegt auch der große Unterschied zu vielen modernen „Asia Fusion“-Läden, die zwischen Pho, Sushi, Curry, Poké und Hoisinsoße irgendwann jede Identität verloren haben. How Bao versucht nicht, ganz Asien gleichzeitig zu sein. Der Laden weiß genau, was er sein möchte – und das macht ihn stark. Dass es Streetfood ist, wirkt dabei keineswegs wie ein Kompromiss, sondern eher wie ein Qualitätsmerkmal. Das Essen kommt schnell, unkompliziert und voller Geschmack auf den Tisch, ohne beliebig zu wirken. Modern, urban und authentisch statt künstlich aufgeblasen. How Bao bringt damit etwas nach Solingen, das vielen Gastronomiekonzepten fehlt: Charakter. Kein Massenbuffet, keine Trend-Sammelstelle – sondern richtig gutes Streetfood mit Profil.

Wirklich nicht 0/8/15 ! Es gibt super interessante Gerichte, die Mann sonst nie sieht. Viel Auswahl und nettes Personal. Kann es nur empfehlen!

Super freundliches Personal, aber insgesamt sicherlich kein authentisches vietnamesisches Essenserlebnis. Das Essen war gut, jedoch nichts, wofür ich explizit wieder kommen würde.

We walked past the place a week ago to see what it looked like inside. It was packed except for one table. Today we ate there and were very pleasantly surprised by how delicious it was. The waiter was very attentive and friendly, and the service was really quick. We had chicken dumplings 🥟 ramen and milk pudding buns for dessert… we'll definitely be back! 👍🏻

Yesterday was my first time at How Bao, and I was thrilled. It's a little gem in Solingen. The service was incredibly friendly and attentive, and the food was fresh. My companion and I had the mixed platter as a starter, with crispy nuggets and other delicious bits with peanut and bulgur mayo dip. We also received two jiaozi as a complimentary appetizer. For our main course, we had veggie bao and rice with pork. Absolutely delicious! I also found the drinks selection particularly interesting. We had Sprite with strawberry boba. A great combination. The small restaurant is cozy and clean. Highly recommended.

I've been there a few times now and I have to say it's simply fantastic. The food is delicious, the service is always friendly, and they serve you quickly. Definitely worth the money, 10/10. I'll gladly come back again.

I went to How Bao Street Food (Taiwanese cuisine) and I was absolutely thrilled! The chicken ramen was incredibly flavorful – a perfect balance of spicy broth, tender meat, and fresh ingredients. The chicken dumplings were crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and bursting with flavor. The corn dog was a real highlight: freshly prepared, beautifully crispy, and incredibly delicious. We visited Hao Bao Streetfood in Solingen and were absolutely thrilled! For starters, we had a vegan mixed platter – varied and delicious. I then had the Bao Veggie with sweet potato fries: The vegan patty was really good, and the whole burger was perfectly balanced. My companion had noodles with vegan meat, which also tasted great. The very friendly and attentive service rounded off the visit perfectly. Conclusion: Super delicious, super friendly – ​​absolutely recommended!

A special little culinary star among the kebab shops and snack bars. Solingen has few unique restaurants. This is one of them. The food is fresh and prepared with love. The owner is very friendly, and the restaurant is small, but nicely decorated and cozy. It's great for chatting with your partner, and it's clean. There's a parking garage and parking spaces nearby. The latter are free after 7 p.m. I think the mixed platter is very tasty. But I especially liked the bao burgers. A fluffy Asian steamed bun with great meat and sauce. There are also options for vegetarians and vegans. I highly recommend How Bao

Absolutely top-notch! As attentive, warm, and professional as you could wish for. The two owners are not only friendly, but also embody true hospitality. You feel truly welcome here. The food? A culinary revelation! Everything is freshly prepared, à la minute - and you can taste it. My personal highlight was the vegan ramen: minimalist, authentic, and with a broth full of umami. As an extra, they added Beyond Meat "meat corners": a creative and super-delicious surprise! The other dishes were also highly impressive: The Asian cucumber salad: wonderfully refreshing, perfectly balanced between sweet and acidic. The warm noodles with chicken and sesame sauce: a real hit in terms of flavor! The two hosts know their craft - both culinary and human. We felt completely at home and will definitely be back (not least to continue eating our way through the varied menu and definitely try the Bao Burgers! :)). In conclusion: If you want to enjoy Asian food in Solingen and value quality, freshness, and genuine hospitality, you should definitely try How Bao!

The owner is very friendly and dedicated. You can tell that a lot of heart and soul goes into the restaurant. However, the concept still lacks a clear focus. The beef noodle soup tastes almost entirely of soy sauce, the meat was tough, and the noodles were more Japanese than Taiwanese. The gua bao was good, but it would have been more authentic with Taiwanese sauerkraut. The prices are very high at over €30 per person (including a drink) – at the level of fine dining, but without the corresponding experience. This is hard to understand for street food.

We've been to this restaurant many times. The prices are reasonable and the portions are generous. The bao (beef ramen) and crispy chicken are delicious and fresh. And the dessert (cheesecake Michigan ice cream) is amazing. I recommend this restaurant to everyone. I will definitely continue to eat here. The servers here are friendly and very nice.

Good morning, We happened to be in Solingen, which isn't necessarily the most beautiful city to stay there "voluntarily". My wife did some browsing on Google Maps and came across How Bao. So I parked in the parking garage on the corner and walked down the street. When we arrived, we were immediately greeted in a friendly manner. It's just a shame that nobody was there except us on a Saturday around 5 p.m. At 20°+, other restaurants were probably more popular. I briefly studied the menu and ordered the mixed platter as a starter, as well as the chicken bao and marinated pork with rice. The mixed plate with two self-selected sauces was a great taste experience. The chicken bao was like an oversized dumpling, only repurposed as a “pocket” for the chicken and salad. Definitely successful. The rice with the marinated pork was equally delicious and we were completely full. Of course it should be mentioned that the service was always friendly and courteous, but never intrusive. The toilets were clean, there were no stomach aches afterwards, always a very good sign of a fresh, hand-made kitchen. The price ended up being just over €40, with two bottles of water. Definitely appropriate for what is offered. Handwork costs money. Next time we're in the area, it would be corn dogs. There are also interesting variations.

A visit to How Bao is worth it! In my opinion, the only authentic Asian restaurant in Solingen! You've only heard of it in Düsseldorf. The food tastes like Taiwanese food, especially the pork belly bao is highly recommended 😋 The service was also super friendly and gave good advice on the selection of dishes. The location is a bit out of the way, but it's still worth the trip through Solingen's city center! We'll definitely be back 😉

Absolute recommendation. We were passing through and became aware of this top restaurant through a little research (a vegan friend). Service was very attentive, courteous and friendly. Food was super delicious. Every dish is a feast for the palate. Toilets were modern and clean. Enough soap and paper towels. You can park for free on Schwertstrasse not far from the location.

This is one of the few special restaurants in Solingen. There is no fried rice or fried noodles, but special Taiwanese cuisine. The beef ramen soup is very rich and delicious. The kimchi is vegan and also great. The desserts are also very special and there are even vegan desserts. The staff here is also very friendly, which is rare. We can highly recommend the restaurant and will continue to visit it.
