Hotel zur Post in Haren (Ems)

The room was fairly new. Everything was clean. Unfortunately, it was a bit noisy. You could hear the cars, and we had a room near the entrance, so you could hear people going up and down the stairs, and they were talking loudly.

A truly warm welcome. The hotel is clean and highly recommended for one to three nights. Later, we'll check out the snack bar ;)) The food was delicious and the night was pleasantly quiet. We slept very well 👍. By the way, what some people disparagingly refer to as a fire escape is actually a normal staircase used as a back entrance so you don't have to walk through the dining room every time.

The rooms were fine, but the bed was a bit too soft for me personally. The service was really great. They both tried very hard to make us happy. There really isn't anything negative to say about it. The pizzeria in the house was really tasty and plentiful. If we cycle through here again, we will definitely stop here again.

Room clean. There is a lack of equipment. No wardrobe, no storage space in the bathroom. There is a lack of sockets. WiFi works. Definitely recommended for one night. Check in and check out very easy. Tip to the owners: A kettle and a multiple plug were definitely missing.

I came to Emsland on business and my secretary chose this “classy” hotel for my stay. I was surprised by the beautiful location of the hotel, in the middle of the tranquil Geest near Haren. When I got there, I took my seven things and opened the door to the lobby - I was completely surprised to find an oriental bistro! The “chef de cuisine” was apparently also the hotelier. He looked up at me and immediately knew, 'he is the guest for suite number 6!' The restaurant in the back was obviously closed, so the prospect of breakfast in the morning faded. I was given my key and allowed to go up the fire escape. I was surprised by the modern foyer, the antonym to the rooms. In my suite I was deeply shocked by the rustic interior: a wooden “bed” that made the sounds of breaking in half every time I turned and turned; a minibar - free to fill yourself; an antique desk and chair - although the chair was almost as big as the desk itself, which made sitting a little difficult; the dresser was in an extremely dilapidated condition. The bathroom appeared to be renovated, but the words order/purity seemed to be missing from the hotelier's vocabulary - I don't want to go into further detail here so as not to make you, the reader, want to vomit. Unfortunately, the town of Geest had few culinary options, but I nevertheless refused to have dinner in the hotelier's oriental bistro because of the hygiene of the room - the fear of a gastrointestinal infection was too great, which is why I preferred a McDonald's snack bar here (by now you should have understood how unappetizing the hotel was). All in all, it was a short night for me in a rancid stink box. I tick this off as “once and never again”! Unless you care even a bit about your well-being and don't despise yourself too much, then I would advise you against staying here. However, if you have a penchant for unclean hotel rooms, then you've come to the right place!

I can't call this place a hotel; it's more of a room service. The "restaurant" hopefully seems to be closed. The handover of the room keys was a bit bumpy. When we were first led through the restaurant area, it would have been better to close our eyes. A steep staircase led us through a charming anteroom to our rooms; we were pleasantly surprised. Everything had been newly renovated, from the floor to the room doors to the bathroom. Unfortunately, some of the furniture left something to be desired, as did the cleanliness. The shower appeared to have been used, as the glass still had fresh drops of water on it. Small cobwebs hung over the bed. Perhaps the room manager is a bit overwhelmed. We were told to enter and exit via the emergency exit. The rooms faced the street, and below them were tables and chairs from the restaurant, which were in heavy use in the evening. This, of course, made it quite noisy. Well, it was okay for one night. However, it's not recommended, especially not for the price of €95.00.

The hotel is closed. There is NO restaurant, NO bar, NO hairdresser and no other service. Rooms are rented through the staff of the kebab shop, the only entrance and exit is via the fire escape (emergency exit). The hallway smells of cooking grease and cigarettes.

I spent one night here after meeting friends. The owners were very friendly at reception. The room itself is small but everything is fine, clean and well maintained. There is even a refrigerator. The bathroom with shower is still brand new. The owners also have a snack bar in the house itself. A mix of kebab, pizza and pasta. I took the food back to my room. It was very tasty and tasty. You can also get drinks. Price performance for the room - top I will book again next time.

Great hotel for a short stay. No breakfast but a bakery across the street.

Actually very nice. Hotel ambience sophisticated. But... you should specify when booking that there is no catering facility. Statements like, there's something in 10 km don't interest me because I've already driven 500 - 700 km that day. Requests for an invoice by email were ignored, a shame. In principle you could have a great time there. So.......

Nice location, slept wonderfully and had a nice shower. In the evening we walked a bit and had dinner at Niehaus. The next morning we had breakfast at the bakery in Nah und Frisch

Today I went to Dankernsee and got some rest at the Hotel zur Post. Super ... the small, fine room was very clean with - I think - a nice bathroom with clean fittings and great warm water, etc. Simply pleasant and cheap compared to some horror prices. The reception was helpful and the service was good. Gladly again

Saggy beds, no smoke detectors, fire extinguisher test expired for 3 years, no refrigerator, mattresses full of stains... Absolutely not recommended

1 Stern Abzug da leider die halbe Nacht Türen Auf Zu geknallt worden sind, und auf dem Zimmer keine Dusch Lotion ist. Ansonsten ok für 1 Nacht

Schöne Zimmer, Kühlschrank ,TV ,Balkoon ,passt. Italienische Küche, Parkplätze ausreichend vorhanden. Daumen hoch

Haben hier einen Geburtstag gefeiert, war gut in den Räumlichkeiten wobei wir hauptsächlich die gemütlichen Sitzgelegenheiten draußen genutzt haben da das Wetter so gut war. Da wir kein Zimmer und keinen Service genutzt haben bewerte ich diesen Teil auch nicht

Nettes Hotel, nettes Personal. Leider wird kein Frühstück angeboten , deswegen nur 3 Sterne

Super Team, freundliche Mitarbeiter, tolle Zimmer. Ist sehr empfehlenswert..

Also als monteurzimmer ausreichend tv brummte etwas und Internet war nicht überall da im Raum 3 gar nicht freundliches Personal aber durch die angrenzende Pizzeria immer auf dem Sprung Noch günstig warmes Wasser dauerte etwas

Super Hotel, sehr zuvorkommende Mitarbeiter. Man hat die Möglichkeit an der Bar etwas zu trinken oder im Restaurant sehr leckeres Essen. Alles sehr sauber! Kann ich alles nur empfehlen!

Ich bin mehr als zu Frieden total freundliches Personal. Kinder lieb und sehr sehr sauber ich bin mehr als begeistert. Das Essen war erste Klasse selbst mein kleiner Zwerg hat richtig gut gegessen was ich sonst nicht von ihm kenne. Wir kommen aufjedenfall wieder vielen dank für alles .
