HOTEL ZUM RIESEN- KEIN RESTAURANT!!!! in Miltenberg

Great historic hotel with very friendly service. We booked this hotel as part of a conference and all participants were thrilled. Rooms very spacious and very, very clean. Breakfast top. Were received very warmly. We'd love to come back.

We spontaneously went for lunch yesterday at lunchtime. The “shack” was full but we were still allowed to stay for dinner. The rustic ambience is hard to beat in terms of cosiness. The food came quickly and was amazing. The drinks are also great. The service was extremely friendly. We were thrilled. All around 5 🌟 Thank you very much 🌻

Went there for lunch, cozy atmosphere, nice service and a huge selection of beer. The food came quickly, was very tasty and the portions were sufficient. Despite being hungry, I couldn't fit in any more dessert afterwards. Mostly open all day, but the kitchen is closed from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Highly recommended, gladly again 🙂

Nice hotel, like living in a museum, it's nice that something like that still exists.

Unfortunately there are no nice rooms and the smell is hard to bear.

My husband and I visited this hotel on a cycle trip across Europe. It was an amazing place and very interesting. It dated back to 1158!. It was clean, and it had everything you would need for a comfortable stay. It had a flat screen TV, a hairdryer, shower gel, and soap. Nice white towels. It was right in the middle to town, close to the bars and the restaurants and shops, etc. They kindly let us store our bikes in the garage. Breakfast was great. The lady who served us was excellent. We enjoyed the breakfast very much. A great stay apart from it was very noisy in the street at night and went on till early hours. But we loved the hotel.

The central location is great. A very, very nice hotel with beautiful and loving furnishings. The rooms were nice, the bed comfortable and very clean. There are many details to admire in the hotel. We particularly liked the breakfast room. The breakfast was great. Individually set tables and everything was brought. Thank you for the lovely stay with you!

This is a beautiful hotel, rustic, well-kept atmosphere with very friendly staff and owners. We felt very comfortable and really enjoyed our time there. From breakfast to bedtime, everything was perfect ☆ RIP love Mrs. Jüst in God's lap I am very happy to have met you ☆

Today we went to the Zum Riesen Essen restaurant. And the food is super delicious and the service is super friendly.

We had a reservation today for lunch on Sunday and the restaurant was well attended, it is very rustic and the oldest restaurant in Germany. the service was very friendly and the food was of the best quality. Only today we had to wait a little longer for the food, ok, it was busy and we still felt comfortable. The prices are reasonable and the portions are large, we'll be happy to come back

Magnificent old hotel, decoration like in the Castles and the old half-timbered houses as well as the time of the Kings I loved...

The oldest inn in Germany 😉😘! We found the stay a great experience...of course I don't expect super luxury when I stay here...no, it's this extraordinary ambience, these nice people who warmly welcome you and the thought of which personalities are here already spent the nights! The breakfast was a very pleasant surprise 😀 - we sat in a knight's hall and were personally served like kings (no buffet), there was a perfect breakfast egg, sausage, ham, cheese, various jams, honey, Nutella, yogurt, tomatoes, cucumber, etc . ......Everything your heart desires ! It should also be mentioned that it is located in the middle of the beautiful old town (everything is within walking distance)! You can drive directly to the door to unload, then park a little further up for free! There is no TV/telephone...but we didn't miss that at all!!!

Very nice building, restaurant, but very rude and uncooperative service, nice weather, apparently too comfortable or too lazy to serve outside in the beer garden, it's a shame you don't get any new customers and, above all, you don't drum up advertising

What a unique and historic accommodation! ♡ We saw three rooms, including ours. All different and very lovingly furnished. The hotel management and owner looked after us and all other guests very nicely. The breakfast was great, the rolls were still warm, the eggs were perfect, the coffee lasted forever in the beautiful, old silver pot. The hotel has a 900 year old history!! that you can see everywhere... old beams, glass panes, ceiling painting, facade painting... simply wonderful! We slept wonderfully in the beds. The hotel is located directly in the enchanting old town. In the evening, be sure to end the evening in the Riesen restaurant next door with a delicious wine or locally brewed beer.

Nice atmosphere, nice service, good beer and good food. What more do you want? The Kochkäs-Schnitzel was a dream. Gladly again.

Magnificent hotel, very well located in the city center. Pleasant and smiling staff. We slept well and the breakfast was perfect. Miltenberg is very pretty to visit. I recommend 1000 times. 👍🏻

I've always thought very highly of the giant, even recommended it often, but I've never been treated so arrogantly and unfriendly, the lady at the entrance was really a disaster. I went straight out, it was unbearable. I went back in a short time later because I just couldn't believe what had happened and spoke to the lady politely. She wasn't aware of anyone's fault, very aloof and arrogant. I'll never set foot in the store again. If I were the manager of the store, I would definitely fire a person like that, such a person is intolerable.

Cozy historic inn. The food is excellent and the beer is from the brewery based in Miltenberg. The service is always attentive. However, you have to make a reservation.

The hotel's restaurant is very nice and the beer is really good. The food was very bad.

We spent a week at the campsite in Miltenberg and at the Riesen Essen a total of 4 times. It's so delicious, great beers, super nice staff (really on the ball)! We'll be back, dogs are allowed and get water straight away. Clearly 5 stars from us!!!!+

We were only there to eat. It wasn't very crowded, but we still waited over an hour for our food. Really hot is different too. You can tear your arm up for drinks until someone comes along.

We had dinner at the Riesen again. The inn lives up to its good reputation! The dishes were very tasty prepared and tasted particularly delicious! The staff is friendly despite the full house. The prices are appropriate for the atmosphere.

Für das Restaurant: Schönes Ambiente, sehr leckere Gerichte und aufmerksame Bedienung. Was will man mehr? Die verfügbaren Biersorten sind fantastisch!

Wir waren nur im Restaurant, aber das war super! Der Service war super schnell und ratz-fatz war das Essen auch schon da. Wir hatten die Spinatknödel und die Käsespätzle jeweils mit einem sehr leckeren Salat. Preis - Leistung stimmt auch.

Schön dass es Menschen gibt die solche Gebäude mit soviel Herzblut erhalten. War mit Abstand das schönste Hotel. Aber auch die gesamte Umgebung lohnt sich.

Wir waren im Lokal essen. Großartig… Qualität und Preis sind sehr gut. Absolut empfehlenswert hier zu essen. Darüberhinaus gibt es ein großes Angebot an verschiedenen Bieren aus der Hausbrauerei.

Tolles Ambiente, sehr gutes Essen!

Wir haben in diesem Hotel übernachtet und auch im Gasthaus gespeist... es soweit alles bestens... die zimmer sehr alt aber man hat alles was man braucht. Der Service im Hotel ist sehr gut und das Frühstück wird mit großer Liebe zugerichtet. Das Gasthaus ist seperat und hat mit dem Hotel nichts zutun. Das Essen war im großen und Ganzen lecker gewesen nur der Service war etwas unfreundlich.

Tolles Gasthaus in guter Lage. Preise und Portionen Top, der Geschmack gut, aber es hat ein wenig an Pepp gefehlt. Bedienung freundlich und schnell

Super lecker und sehr freundlich.

Gut bürgerliche Küche in einem sehr angenehmen Ambiente. Wir haben nur die Restauration besucht.

Wir waren in den letzten Jahren meist zur Michaelis Messe in Miltenberg und im Riesen gegessen! Da wir mit dem Wohnmobil unterwegs sind, können wir nur das Restaurant beurteilen! Aber dieses ist wirklich toll
