Really nice, very old hotel. Single room does not have a TV. Shower very small. Parking is not ideal but it works. But the restaurant is amazing.

We won't go home without a freshly bought Faust.

We were there to eat (and drink). The food was hearty, the beer was good on the hot day and the service was very friendly.

We had lunch in the restaurant. The service is attentive, but sometimes seems a bit overwhelmed. The food was okay, but nothing more. I would have expected a little more. There's beer from the Faust brewery - a treat!

For the oldest inn in Germany, they were pretty on their toes here. The service was excellent, very friendly, the delicious dishes tailored to the area and the season, also vegan alternatives, special beers and the atmosphere was sociable and rustic. Very well attended, which speaks for itself.

Super friendly staff, food very tasty and regional. Price performance is right. Lots of beers from the Faust brewery. I can recommend making reservations for dinner.

We only rate the restaurant: Quaint restaurant, very full, difficult to get a seat (you have to reserve it in advance). After we "got hold" of it, we had a very extensive selection of beer, very unusual, the mini tasting glass for 1.50 euros was a good idea! That Unfortunately, the food was very salty, the portions weren't particularly large and so we weren't full. Is that because it's a tourist town and therefore always full? Conclusion: Interior is special, selection of drinks is great, food is okay, service is mediocre, volume is high.

I've been there very often. Nice clocky restaurant. The food has been of consistent quality for years and the beer on offer is from the Faust brewery. I never heard any complaints from the escorts either. Therefore 100% 5 stars.

Really bad, so beer was perfectly cold, tasted almost like soda, you can drink it forever. The food was brutal, the dark beer sauce was a dream. We will come again. The oldest hostel in Germany - you can see it! 😀

Great location. People go only because it is recommended. There is mobbing in the place, the taste is not stable, the soup is tasteless. I have free water in the tap.

Probably the quaintest place I've been to so far. As far as I know, it is the oldest inn in Germany. You have to have been there!

Fried potatoes were very tasty. But the bread dumplings weren't that good.

We were only here to eat, so I can't say anything about the rooms. Beautiful, rustic restaurant in the heart of Miltenberg. We had liver dumpling soup and meatballs with dark beer sauce, fried potatoes and salad. Unfortunately the meatballs were cold. But it was immediately improved. And they tasted very good hot. Very worthy meat and aromatic sauce. The dumpling was also very spicy. All in all, a nice restaurant with friendly service and good food. If you want to eat later in the evening, you should make a reservation. Would love to come back.

I found it very loud and the food was mediocre

We went to the restaurant again for a nightcap. The Bacchus selected on the menu is very tasty and drinkable. Chicly furnished restaurant and fits the rented hotel. Staff friendly and attentive. Hopefully next time it will work out for dinner, unfortunately everything was fully booked this evening... no wonder.

We didn't stay here, we had lunch. The friendly service is unfortunately overloaded. Bayrisch Hell beer has a metallic aftertaste. The wheat yeast light is sour and probably has an infection. When you ask, you get the answer that it has always been that way and that so much wheat has already been sold today, I would be the first to have a problem with it. The fried potatoes do NOT deserve the names because they were only warmed up in the pan, but they were definitely NOT fried.

Quaint inn. But very loud. Unbearable on the first floor in hot weather. Service very nice. Food average. Beer good. I don't understand why people who haven't made a reservation aren't allowed in even though there's space.

The beds are a bit short. 😁If you're a size 186, your feet hit the end of the bed. But otherwise the rooms are very historically furnished and a bit cramped.

We wanted to go there for dinner this evening, but didn't have a reservation. When we asked for a free table, two waitresses gave us mushy answers and we were simply left standing inside like idiots. Something like that doesn't show hospitality, no matter what! Friendly is always possible, as we found out in another restaurant. Such behavior without words and actually not even worth 1 star!!

After visiting the St. KILIAN whiskey distillery nearby in Rüdenau, we ate at the Riesen restaurant in the small beer garden. It is located in the middle of the beautiful old town with a view of the half-timbered houses. Wonderful. The food was good, but no surprise, good German cuisine. This time, braised beef.

Always worth a visit: good food, very courteous service and a cozy atmosphere.

Catastrophe, same story every time. I came to it and all the tables inside were ordered (as always) but there are many tables in the shade outside next to the street where the main entrance is but “it has been ordered”. I ask where we can sit?? "We only have space outside on the corner" when it's 33 degrees and sitting or eating in full sun, that's sickening. The place simply doesn't work. My foot will never step there again!!! Whoever is in the restaurant or is blind or disabled simply doesn't care about customers!!!

Very good dishes that are super tasty and good portions that fill you up, highly recommended if you are in Miltenberg. Service is super friendly and every wish is tried to be made possible.

Even though it is very loud when the place is full, there is a nice atmosphere in the giant. However, the main focus seems to be on the presentation of the sometimes very tasty beer from the Faust brewery, because in my opinion the food is not really recommended and the extremely thick, tasteless sauce is the negative highlight.

The Kasspatzen are still delicious, even if the portion has become smaller and the price has increased. Very attentive service!

A nice restaurant in the oldest restaurant. We arrived shortly before the kitchen closed and got everything we wanted and it was delicious 😋. We recommend.

One of the oldest inns in Germany. In the middle of the old town. Food is super tasty, the staff is quick and friendly. Always go there on special occasions. If there are a large number of people, I would make a reservation (you can also do this online). The small vaulted room is very nice, but mostly occupied (max. 5-6 people). EC payment possible. Not far from the Main, so you can combine it with a walk or take a look at the old town.

Quaint restaurant with an interesting history (I was only there to eat). Good selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes, unfortunately they don't fill you up that much ;-) otherwise good selection of Franconian specialties and the beer is of course great!!

We didn't stay overnight, we were just there to eat. Food is very tasty (fried liver with fried potatoes / roast beef with bread dumplings) The Faust beer from the Ansässige brewery is one of the best beers. The service is very nice and friendly. We liked it and tasted it, we would love to come back

I didn't spend the night, but had an excellent meal (spinach dumplings) and drank 3 half-light drinks with it. Top service in the beautiful outdoor area. The ambience inside is beautifully historic and finely furnished. Thank you - I'll definitely come back.

Great inn with a lot of tradition

The restaurant is cozy, the service is friendly, and the food is always good and plentiful. Unfortunately it is very loud. Silencers, like the ones you often see in restaurants, would be great. These are attached to the ceiling. We'd love to come back.

The hotel is managed separately, the restaurant by the Faust brewery. They have great beer, very nice staff and delicious food with dishes from Franconia, Hesse and Bavaria. Very old building inside but well maintained and very interesting

We went there for dinner and it was excellent. A fine little card, isn't it? exaggerated, regional cuisine and also sophisticated dishes. All of this in a great atmosphere and at fair prices. Most of the food is cooked fresh and finished products have no home here. Any time. The service was also great and friendly.

Delicious and inexpensive food. Large portions with good quality. Unfortunately, the service was a bit confused and there were regular misunderstandings (probably there was just a lot going on). We gave a tip and then later noticed that we had been given the wrong meal on the bill, which was €2 more expensive... not that big of a deal, but learn to radiate calm and listen properly. If necessary, the boss has to hire a few more people.

We really enjoy eating there with our family. You can always get a seat quickly, even if you don't have a reservation. The food is always very tasty and fresh. The waitresses are always very friendly and always happy to come back!

We were back and became repeat offenders. We ate and drank great again at the inn. What was particularly noticeable was that the prices were of course increased, after all everyone has to survive, but a beer for 4.40 euros remained on the carpet. And the service was again super friendly. We'll definitely be back. See you soon dear team......

I can only rate the inn here. Menu very extensive. Service/operation very friendly and attentive. Food excellent. And the cool, freshly tapped Faust beer, fantastic. We'd love to come back.

Food = underground: industrial goods and not fresh! Starter: Tomato and wild garlic soup (€5.90): Poorly warmed up, at best lukewarm industrial ready-made tomato sauce from a bucket. Add a teaspoon of wild garlic pesto from the bucket as a topping. Sorry, but I mean something completely different by tomato and wild garlic soup. This has nothing to do with cooking at all. Main course: steamed roast ox with boiled potatoes (€19.90): The meat was so tough that you couldn't cut it with the knives provided or with your own pocket knife. The meat was also very dry, which in combination only leads me to the conclusion that it was old and had been reheated repeatedly, i.e. too often. It's fitting that they weren't freshly cooked potatoes either. That doesn't work at all. Food was completely reduced. The waitress wasn't even remotely interested. We got the impression that the main thing here is to serve and sell the house beer on a massive scale. The preparation of food is probably just seen as a tiresome addition. However, the prices are again like those in an upper class and are not even remotely suitable. -> Never again!

Impressive inn in the historic center of Miltenberg. Very quaint and cozy. The extensive beer menu is a highlight for every beer lover. It's great to try out the 0.1 liter aperitif beer. But the food is also impressive. Service is on point and friendly.

I've always thought very highly of the giant, even recommended it often, but I've never been treated so arrogantly and unfriendly, the lady at the entrance was really a disaster. I went straight out, it was unbearable. I went back in a short time later because I just couldn't believe what had happened and spoke to the lady politely. She wasn't aware of anyone's fault, very aloof and arrogant. I'll never set foot in the store again. If I were the manager of the store, I would definitely fire a person like that, such a person is intolerable.

The food and the people are really great. Plus the building is magnificent.

The food is great, the service is excellent and accommodating. I think it's the best restaurant in Miltenberg. Faust's beer is also great. The Doppelbock in the Steinkrug is recommended. Price performance is right!

Katastrophe! Service and kitchen are a TOTAL DISASTER! We waited for 2hours for 3 orders of 6 and another hour for remaining 3 orders! Place completely to avoid!!!!

We spontaneously stopped by the Riesen and, thanks to the friendly service and delicious food, found an inn that we would like to go to again. Especially for beer lovers, the extensive beer menu offers something for everyone!

Great beer and food and top service

Starters and main courses arrived at pleasant times and were delicious! We worked our way through the beer menu from top to bottom and were absolutely thrilled. The prices are good, the atmosphere is great - we'd love to come back! Tip: It’s best to reserve a spot. For us (on a Sunday evening) all the tables were occupied.

The roast pork was a decent size, was tender and very tasty, and the sauce and red cabbage were also very good, But the bread dumplings were a disaster, they tasted like they had been sitting for two days. Compliments to the service, friendly and attentive.

Great food in the restaurant but horrible wait service. Waitresses were not eager to help, not even trying to show hospitable attitude (we were polite the whole time so it's not like a drunk noisy person complaining). We came to Miltenberg specifically for this restaurant but compared to how we were treated last year and 2 years ago, after this time we will hardly come back.

Very nice and historic restaurant in the middle of Miltenberg. We waited an hour and a half for our food. First came two large side salads, 20 minutes later the unfortunately only warm dishes. But the taste was okay. The service was very friendly, but sometimes a bit inattentive e.g. B. when reordering drinks. But it was also quite busy this Sunday. Particularly noteworthy was the nice gesture of a water bowl for our dog. ;-)

Good food good beer and great atmosphere

Ordered braised beef. We canceled the sauerkraut and were offered that we could have a salad instead of the sauerkraut. Pot roast was extremely tough and dry. Either it was in the oven too long or too short. It was hard to chew because it was very fibrous. This was also witnessed by 3 other people at the table who tried the food. 2 side salads were forgotten and only brought when asked. We pointed out the meat to the waitress and then heard nothing more until we paid. There we were told by the waiter that EVERYONE from the kitchen and some people from the service had tried the meat and that this quote was "soft as butter" and there was nothing to complain about at all. The only problem is that you have to use force even with a sharp knife to even cut the meat. Thus, the entire table was indirectly portrayed as liars. Food was charged at full price. Side salad, which was offered as a replacement, was charged separately, but we saw this too late. It's a shame to have to have such experiences in this restaurant. I used to really enjoy being with you.
