Hotel und Restaurant Herr Ober in Rostock

We stayed in Warnemünde for one night and spontaneously wanted to go out for dinner. There was no space to be found almost anywhere. Here we got a small, cute table for 2 people without a reservation. The service was nice. The food was good too. However, we were a bit surprised because there was a peach spritz on the menu. I got an Aperol, when I asked, I was told yes it was an Aperol and they turned around. When paying, we kindly pointed out to another waiter that we meant a different drink by the name. Maybe there could be Aperol there, because I think it's a shame for the price. Then I let my husband drink it.

I can fully recommend the restaurant. Even though we stopped by spontaneously, we were seated and served by very courteous staff. The order was taken quickly, the food came very quickly and was extremely tasty. A chef who knows his craft works there. We had a really nice time there and therefore give it full marks. The picture shows the herring starter. Very tasty. Thank you for the culinary achievement.

That was a weekend... Everything was actually nice in Warnemünde. Except for this so-called “hotel”... 🤨 What was that? A hotel that is actually closed today (the restaurant)...so we were "abandoned". Except for a group of 6 on the 1st floor. It was a bit scary. The side entrance dark... The light may have gone off at some point. You come straight into the stairwell or "storage room"... it certainly doesn't look nice when you come in. You first have to look for the light switch. 1st floor the light was still on-2nd. no longer. The hallway is completely cold. The room was also really cold. First the heating was turned up - but it was only half warm - because the radiators were not vented. But it was very loud 🤨 (the noise of the radiators) It stayed loud - because the floor was totally creaking. It is not possible to move quietly. The included WiFi was there - we just missed the password 🤨 The closet in the room can only be opened if you went to the side (because otherwise there was no space to open the doors) The bathroom couldn't get warm at all. Also only one of 2 lamps worked. The room door drags on the carpet in the hallway and there are still paint residues from painting the walls on the door outside. The emergency exit is also a storage area in the stairwell - there is a dismantled couch in front of it. Why?? If someone sits on this couch, no one will come by 🫣 (aside from the fact that emergency exits must be kept clear and not artificially narrowed) The breakfast was disgusting. It was set up especially for us in the restaurant, which was very nice... But everything tasted like the fridge. I missed the food - so we ate outside today. I could write more... I can't understand it, the location is great - it couldn't be better. Why do you leave this aging house so neglected and not use its potential? Actually, it's a shame... In any case, we are very disappointed and will look for other accommodation next time.

The restaurant gets an unreserved recommendation. Located directly on the old stream with seating inside and outside. We even ate there twice. There are changing daily specials and a nice menu with fish, meat and tarte flambée, etc. We felt very comfortable here. Insider tip: Aperol Spritz for 5 euros...you can't get it anywhere better in Warnemünde

This was a restaurant I stumbled upon while walking while stopping by Warnemünde during my honeymoon in Germany. I usually don't like fish dishes, but I really enjoyed the flounder here. It was the best fish dish I've ever had in my life, and Apfelschorle was also the best during my trip to Germany. The staff were also very friendly. Thank you for the good memories. +The way to the bathroom is amazing. A little fun.

We wanted to reserve a table and were not served. The staff just stood behind the bar and complained that you were standing in the entrance and no one could get through. Gossiping instead of asking how you can help is the wrong way to deal with guests.

Yesterday we spontaneously went to eat in the restaurant...we had a delicious fish dish and the Hamburger Schnitzel...the idea of ​​adding caraway was great...we would love to eat there again

We stayed from Wednesday May 8th to May 11th, 2024, it was simply awesome 🤗😊😊Our room didn't have a balcony, but it didn't matter because the room was so great ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️We had booked this with breakfast it was very sufficient, very well prepared. Thank you to the super nice breakfast staff!!!! We will definitely be back 🤗🤗🤗 We couldn't find anything negative. Stay healthy everyone and keep it up 🙂‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️

You have to give 5 stars for the food, but deduct 4 stars for the service. We had to wait 45 minutes to order food and then not everything was brought. Of course the food was included in the bill. The service seemed overwhelmed to me, even though the restaurant wasn't fully occupied. We definitely won't visit the restaurant again.

Rooms are somewhat simply furnished. That makes up for the location, the price and the service. Everyone is very friendly and a good, down-to-earth breakfast is included in the price. Gladly again :-)

The atmosphere is very pleasant. However, the food was better and my wife had diarrhea and vomiting afterwards, so that's really the last thing you should pay attention to the ingredients. Very expensive in my opinion and the whole thing with such a conclusion. Thank you, Mr. Ober, for this unforgettable evening. Please be careful with the shrimp! I don't recommend visiting.

We spontaneously stayed in the Humidor room for a short vacation. Everything was clean and true to the description, beds were comfortable, even the pillows. We were even able to use the balcony at this time of year😍. The service at breakfast was super nice and accommodating, we We were even allowed to take the dog into the restaurant. The selection and taste of the breakfast was completely fine. The location right on the river is great with a great view, just keep in mind that you can only get there on foot - because it's a pedestrian zone. We are very satisfied and will definitely come back!

Wir wollten essen gehen Ergebnis nicht empfehlenswert Bier schall und leider auch nicht ansatzweise gut geschmacklich, Das Essen war auch noch kalt und ebenfalls nicht gut zubereitet oder tot verarbeitet, Bedingungen durchwachsen PS das Essen mag auf dem Bild gut aussehen bitte nicht täuschen lassen es war nicht diesem entsprechenden

Wir waren am ersten Weihnachtsfeiertag dort essen. Was soll man da sagen, dass Essen war sehr sehr sehr gut, der Service absolut top und das Restaurant wirklich schön. Wir waren dort zum ersten Mal und kommen auf jeden Fall wieder. Auch nochmal ein großes Dankeschön, für die relativ spontane Reservierung. Absolut empfehlenswert!

Waren 2 x zum Essen dort (mittags) - sehr schmackhaft und alles frisch zubereitet - die Geflügelleber kann ich wärmstens empfehlen! Preis-Leistung ist in Ordnung!

Nettes Lokal, auch wenn der Innenbereich (Bestuhlung, WC) optisch schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen ist. Auswahl ist in Ordnung, Preis für einen vorrangig touristischen Ort im erwarteten Bereich, Service ist freundlich und auch zack. Essen schmeckt.

Schöne Location, leckeres Essen, tolle Bedienung. Bei jedem Warnemünde-Besuch (im Schnitt 1x pro Jahr) ist ein Essen im Herr Ober mittlerweile Pflicht geworden. Seit Jahren immer wieder schön hier her zu kommen. Und mittlerweile wird man auch wiedererkannt. Auf das nächste Mal. Und wenn es in der kühlsten Jahreszeit ist, dann auch noch eine leckeren Glühwein vor dem Lokal genießen.

Wir waren im Sommer 2023 mit unseren beiden Kleinkindern dort spontan essen. Wir wurden sehr herzlich empfangen und man bot uns ein tollen Platz mit viel Platz an. Zudem gab uns die nette Bedienung Papier/ Ausmalbilder und Stifte für die Kids. Auf freundlicher Anfrage der Dame,bekamen Beide auch noch eine Kleinigkeit zum Naschen. Das Essen war wirklich sehr lecker. Und die Preise für wirklich gutes Essen, sind echt in Ordnung 😉 Wir können das Restaurant nur wärmstens empfehlen!!

Das Essen im Restaurant war hervorragend und das Personal sehr freundlich

Das Zimmer war ok. Aber der Balkon ging gar nicht. Lieblos und völlig verdreckt. Irgendeine Metallhalterung, die bereits von einem Gast vor 3 Jahren fotografiert wurde, lag immer noch herum. Kein gescheiter Fernsehempfang. Sollte in der heutigen Zeit doch machbar sein. Treppenhaus alt und muffig. Beim Frühstück war manchmal fast jeder Tisch reserviert. Sind einige Gäste mehr wert als Andere ? Außerdem war das Frühstück sehr überschaubar. Haben wir in anderen kleinen Hotels schon besser und liebevoller erlebt. Eventuell sollte auch mal über eine Beschriftung nachgedacht werden, damit man auch weiß, was man isst. Dieses Hotel werden wir definitiv nicht mehr buchen

Sehr netter Empfang, cooles Team und sehr netter Chef. Perfekte Lage und direkt am Alten Strom gelegen, kurze Entfernung ins Zentrum und zum Beach. Zimmer und Dusche alles sehr sauber und ordentlich. Komme immer wieder gerne zu Euch. Vielen Dank, Lars und Alla, Frankenberg/ Eder (Hessen)

Sehr zu empfehlen. Wir hatten einen Salat, der war so frisch, das Fleisch frisch angebraten, die Croutons mit Parmesan ein Traum. Hier wird frisch gekocht. Das Personal sehr aufmerksam und freundlich.

Sehr leckeres Essen und freundliches Personal, in gemütlicher Atmosphäre. Den Stern Abzug gibt es für die doch recht kleinen Portionen, zu dem doch erhöhten Preis.

Wir waren nur zum Essen im Herr Ober. Essen war sehr gut. Jedoch waren die Portionen sehr klein. Aufgrund der kleinen Portionen fanden wir das Essen auch überteuert. 3 Streifen Matjes mit einem Hauch Bratkartoffeln und einem kleinen Klecks Remoulade für 17.90€ ist schon nicht ohne. Dafür war der Preis für einen Aperol Spriz mit 5€ sehr passend. Die Bedingung war gut.
