Café Lom in Rostock

It's been my regular haunt for years. The food is absolutely fantastic. Delicious. Excellent value for money. A great place with the charm of the KTV district.

We spontaneously decided to have dinner there and weren't disappointed. The food was delicious, the service incredibly friendly – ​​what more could you want? Keep it up!

The place is truly focused on maximizing profits. The atmosphere is very rundown, and the food was inedible. Even though there was a hair in the food, they weren't willing to exchange it for me, and they told me to eat somewhere else if I didn't like it. I strongly advise against visiting here!

Guilty as charged. I've been back in Rostock for four years, but now I've made it. A truly wonderful restaurant. Super delicious food, something for every palate. Very nice little restaurant. We had a biryani. The portion was generous, the vegetables were fresh, and the price was really good. They also served a delicious tea. We'd be happy to go back!

Here at Café Lom, you can enjoy, among other things, Rostock M&O beer on tap, and a large beer still means 0.5 liters. The staff is partly untrained, but always friendly and, above all, dedicated to their guests.

I was there on vacation with a friend. The staff convinced us straight away, the prices were great and it tasted amazing too! Can only be recommended! Especially the mango lassi...

Went in with happy expectations and left unhappy. Prices are a rarity, really cheap, but so is the quality of the food. Smells good, but everything else is a bit bland. It lacks spice and depth of flavor. This is lower midfield, with a lot of room for improvement. I think it's okay for a small student as a student, otherwise it's not worth a visit. Ambience rather simple, service friendly but unskilled.

A very cozy restaurant with delicious food. Family-run, the owner usually serves the food herself, and her husband cooks fantastically. Moderate prices!

Big fan of this place! Looking for some new restaurants to try in the area we stumbled upon Café Lom. We ordered a potato peanut dish and a potato veggie dish, both vegan. Both came with rice and some naan. The taste was really good! Service was friendly. It’s also much cheaper compared to other places in the area.

Very good Pakistani cuisine, much of the chicken and beef. Lots of vegetarian dishes. Hot, spicy and also completely normal. And all for prices from “years ago”. Super.

Chill Restaurant in the middle of KTV. Staff were quick and knowledgable about allergens and vegan options. Went on a busy night and it was great.

Lom has been a place I've always enjoyed coming to ever since I finished my studies 7 years ago. It's cozy, the price-performance ratio for the food is more than just good (really cheap compared to other restaurants) and the service is friendly. I've never had a bad experience there. The food isn't of a star level, but it's just right for a cozy evening with friends or family that doesn't leave you poor ;)

Food has already improved compared to 1 year ago. Now three stars because it was cold when served twice in a row, and the portions also shrunk a lot.

Starters are basically full meals. Great soups and very fair pricing.

TOO BIG DISHES! It's nice of course, but my belly was completely full when i didn't even eat the half of the plate. But everything was tasty tho! Except tea :) It was okay, but I could not call it very delicious. Despite that, it was invigorating. Service was friendly and the atmosphere was pretty too. After all, a good place! Take time to visit it if you're looking for something substantial 😌

Hier gibt es großartiges Essen, was man sonst so nur in den anderen Restaurants des Besitzers, dem Momo in Rostock und dem Cafe Lom in Schwerin, finden kann. Wer einmal etwas wirklich besonderes probieren will, kann in dieses lockerer, von Studenten gut besuchte Lokal gehen. Besonders zu empfehlen ist das Vegetable Pakora.

Das "Café Lom" ist seit vielen Jahren mein absolutes Lieblingsrestaurant. Das Personal ist immer freundlich. Das Essen kommt schnell, schmeckt sooo gut und ist unschlagbar im Preis. Ich bestelle immer gemischtes Pakura. fragt dazu nach der roten Currysauce. Es macht süchtig. Salate sind frisch. Die Portionen machen satt und wenn euer Magen streikt, wird euch der Rest zum mitnehmen eingepackt. Das Ambiente ist sehr gemütlich. Wer eine familiäre Atmosphäre mag, muss unbedingt herkommen. Einzige Negativ-Aspekt: Die Hygiene auf den Toiletten. 💚💚💚

This is probably my favourite place to eat in Rostock and whenever I visit the city, I try to stop by with friends for lunch. They have good vegan/vegetarian options and super good prices for really delicious meals. Warmly recommend!

Sehr gemütlicher Pakistaner mit sehr leckerer Küche. Die Portionen sind riesig und schmackhaft. Getränkeauswahl ist solide aber auch nicht überladen. Vor allem das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis, das freundliche Personal und die gemütliche Atmosphäre muss hier betont werden. Wer ein schickes Nobelrestaurant erwartet wird hier enttäuscht, wer aber einen gemütlichen Abend mit leckerem preiswerten Essen mit dem Partner oder Freunden haben möchte ist hier genau richtig. 🤗

Das Café Lom im Barnstorfer Weg ist einfach perfekt. Vor kurzem wurde das gesamte Restaurant erneuert und saniert. Das Ambiente ist einfach stimmig. Die Einrichtung ist passend zur Küche. Die Gerichte sind abwechslungsreich und in Vielzahl vorhanden. Für alle ist etwas dabei. Auf besondere Wünsche wird individuell eingegangen und alles getan um die Besuchenden zufrieden zu stellen. Vegane Optionen gibt es zur genüge. Das Personal ist stets freundlich und bemüht. Der Besitzer ist eine totale Frohnatur und immer für ein nettes Gespräch zu haben. Besonders auf eine gute Nachbarschaft wird hier wertgelegt. Preis Leistung ist super und das Essen schmeckt wie gesagt immer! Lasst es euch nicht entgehen :)

Mit Abstand das beste Restaurant im ganzen Norden! Jeder Besuch ist ein Gaumenschmaus, mit vielfältiger Gerichtsauswahl und riesigen Portionen. Preis-Leistung ist unschlagbar! Großes Kompliment an die Chefin und ihren Mann, den Koch! Geheimtipp in Rostock 😍 Meine Familie und ich statten dem Restaurant trotz längerem Anfahrtsweg regelmäßige Besuche ab.. und es lohnt sich jedes Mal!

Wir waren an einem Freitag zum Abendessen. Service war super freundlich, Essen lecker, sehr gutes Preisleistungsverhältnis. Wir würden wieder kommen, wenn wir nochmal in der Stadt sind.

Spontan hier zu Mittag gegessen. Es war super Lecker. Der Besitzer/Kellner war richtig lieb und zuvorkommend. Hier kann man sehr gut draußen sitzen und verweilen. ☺️ Komme sehr gern wieder.

Sehr gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Hatte Lamm mit verschiedenen Gemüsen in einer leicht scharfen Soße. Meine Frau hatte Huhn tikka. Beides unter 10 EUR je Gericht. Waren sehr zufrieden und werden das Restaurant in diesem Urlaub noch einmal besuchen. Pizza und chinesisch sind im Urlaub immer die meist genutzte Alternative, weil man sich nicht auskennt. Ein preiswertes Lokal mit schmackhaften indischen Gerichten ist für uns ein ein echter Lichtblick.

Im Lom gibt es frische und leckere Speisen aus einer großen Auswahl. Außerdem bezahlbar und reichlich. Das Essen und Trinken kommt sehr schnell (wenige Minuten) zum Tisch und die Bedienungen sind freundlich. Der Falafel Salat ist eine erweiterte Variante des gemischten Salates - für unter 50 Cent bekommt man den gemischten Salat + Falafel Bällchen und frischen Mozzarella. (sehr guter Preis!) Das Lamm Tikka ist ein Gericht für Gäste, die es gern würzig mögen. Das Lamm war unheimlich zart und intensiv gewürzt. Die Getränkekarte ist umfassend und sollte jedem Gast etwas bieten können - besonders originell die verschiedenen Lassis. Das Café Lom ist defintiv einen Besuch wert!
