Hotel Neptun in Rostock

Perfect location to the beach, great view of the harbor entrance and the pier. Very nice spacious rooms. Simply everything to feel good. All the employees are very friendly and always have a kind word to say. I'd love to come back.

View gigantic. Everything else is very old. The 5 stars can only come from earlier times. Reception overwhelmed with long queues upon arrival. The room is carpeted, has no air conditioning and is partly unkempt.

Last year there were guests again. We welcomed the New Year there. Price/performance is great. Arrive, feel good, relax and be pampered. The hotel offers all this and so much more. The rooms...great. The service...everything. A big thank you to everyone, from the room service to the chef...Thank you....if unfortunately it doesn't work out this year for health reasons, we are guaranteed to be guests in this wonderful hotel again next year.

I spent the first night there at the beginning of October. A really great hotel that is more than worth the money. I felt super comfortable in every respect. The room (16 floor single room) was very clean and I had a wonderful view. The breakfast was really plentiful, fresh and very tasty. And the view at breakfast of the Thin Islands and the sea, simply divine. I'd love to come back. Many thanks to the great team at the hotel.

For me personally, a holiday at the Hotel Neptun really leaves nothing to be desired. Neither the culinary in the 4 restaurants nor the incredibly rich breakfast buffet until 12 o'clock, nor the interesting excursions that you can book, nor the wellness and fitness offerings, nor the shuttle service from the train station or... from all over Germany. The opportunity to dance in the Skybar on the 19th floor with the roof open under the starry sky 60 meters above the Baltic Sea is also very impressive and unique! All rooms have a sea view + the staff are really very friendly! The Neptune is one of the best things left of the GDR!

It was my first visit to the Neptun, and expectations were high due to the 5 stars. The single room was very nice, the view (11th floor for an additional charge) was great... but directly opposite the elevator and therefore not necessarily quiet, I found that very unpleasant, especially if it disturbed your sleep. There is a Nespresso machine in the room, but tea drinkers like me are unfortunately not taken into account. The very large selection at the delicious breakfast buffet was very positive, the tea selection was great, but coffee specialties were only available from the machine. Latte macchiato belongs in a glass, we are here in a 5-star hotel! The buffets in the evening were also very appealing and varied, but also quite expensive, so why do you have to pay extra for a bottle of water? Reservations (for a nice window seat) were not possible, but there were always tables reserved for someone... strange! A visit to the café, although included in the tour price, was only possible with a waiting period, so reservations were not possible here either... what a shame! The hotel was extremely full at the time of travel, which unfortunately resulted in longer waiting times at the elevators and reception. Another positive feature is the free transfer to the train station. All in all a nice stay with a few drawbacks.

I love it! Celebrated my birthday in the Skybar 🎂. Highly recommend the cake bar. And the view is beautiful as always. There are always celebrities there... this time we met a prime minister.

It was another wonderful vacation.

In the café on the 19th floor there is an excellent view over Warnemünde and a very good selection of cakes from our own confectioners, ice cream and also Windbütel. The staff is very friendly and corresponds to a 5 star hotel.

Rooms, cleanliness and appearance are great. The service attitude of some employees in the restaurants needs to be improved. The foreign waiters are much better here. The Weineck is a clear recommendation in terms of quality and service. With 5 stars you expect much more than unmotivated employees who lecture you or reject you. Booking requests for restaurants are not processed because they are overwhelmed and you are sent away at reception. The heavenly breakfast on floor 17 is not worth the extra charge. You should plan on waiting 15-20 minutes for seating and coffee. The rest then standardized check-in with a beautiful view. The parking lot with license plate recognition was a disaster. Not once did I go up or down without complications. Which approach angle the camera needs is of course not explained and is not marked. Anyone who is used to 5 stars should avoid this hotel.

Very good location. Centrally located on the beach. Great panoramic bar/cafe. The cleanliness in the restaurant could be better. The buffet is delicious and extensively stocked.

The three of us as a group of girls have been there since Sunday and are thrilled. Every hotel employee we dealt with was very friendly and accommodating to us. All of our special requests are implemented in a solution-oriented manner. The rooms are very clean from the bed to the towels. No streaks on the shower screens or dust anywhere. There is always a fresh rose on the room table. A SuitePad makes room service easier and is pleasant to use, great idea. The food early and in the evening is of high quality and a taste explosion! Nothing tastes the same and is lovingly prepared!!! So we all give five stars to everyone!!! Employees of the house and a hard work star on top!

Very nice and clean hotel. With a great breakfast buffet. The rooms are outstanding with their sea views and have a beautiful design. Just sitting on the balcony in the evening or morning and looking at the Baltic Sea and Warnemünde is fantastic. Unfortunately, there is no balcony at the Skybar or the one that is available is not allowed to be accessed. The spa area with the salt water pool is highly recommended.

The hotel no longer has 4-5 stars. The rooms are very shabby. Not suitable for younger people. We had various complaints several times... mold in the shower, the toilet roared all night, and on the second day our room 718 was not cleaned. We talked about all of that, no apology or anything like that. On the day of departure we asked to speak to the hotel manager. He then waived us the parking fee for one day...so 15 €... the bad thing will continue to be there. That's a mockery. Cheeky !!! I'm curious to see what the manager answers. What is impeccable, the breakfast and the dinner, cannot be faulted.

I was here for an anniversary celebration and found the rooms to be very good and of high quality. The hall is a good size to accommodate around 150 people. The Skybar offers an excellent view of Warnemünde and the Baltic Sea. It's just a matter of walking out the door to the beach promenade and the staff were always friendly and helpful throughout the day. I deducted one star because of the price. This is not suitable for the proverbial “normal consumer” as there is nothing cheap here. That's why I didn't stay here, but in another hotel nearby. 😄

The hotel is very nicely located and the rooms have a fantastic view over Warnemünde, but for example it is very inconvenient that there is no elevator from the parking garage and the reception does not point this out to you. What use is an employee who almost carries a handbag after some guests, but doesn't make sure that cars in front of the entrance are not just parked briefly to load luggage, but are "parked" there until all fellow travelers have found themselves together? lasts 30 minutes Or you get the information from the reception that the room will be ready in 15 minutes and then you sit in the lobby for almost 2 hours and wait unnoticed, a coffee on the house would have been a conciliatory gesture We let the positive impressions outweigh the negatives and will try again for a second visit because there were also many beautiful moments

This time we had a suite on the 12th floor and it was really great! The size of the room was also suitable for a wheelchair and the view was a dream!

Extra, a little more spent to do something good for ourselves after a somewhat stressful time. Paid more than €3500 for the room for two weeks. Then we get a very small room with a connecting door to the neighboring room. Quite a strange feeling!!! All the special features, which is why we chose this hotel -- Panorama cafe, of course always full, so book in advance days in advance to be able to enjoy the view in the first row--- then only a table in the second row. ---- Similar in the breakfast room-- reservations are apparently not possible-- many tables are reserved every morning! --- the covered parking space has no direct connection to the hotel. So carry all suitcases and bags up and down the stairs to reception. Of course, there is a reception team--- which is overwhelmed on busy days. This hotel thrives on its really great location, but for us it's not enough to recommend it. It's unclear where the 5 stars come from. We will go to the Baltic Sea again, but again to the Radisson Blu in Svinemünde. It's only a Polish 5-star hotel, which according to German estimates only corresponds to 4 stars, but in terms of service and friendliness it can keep up with Neptun.

If you don't mind the "block", you're in good hands there. Starting from the reception and cleaning angels (9th floor), all the service staff can only be described as good. I would particularly like to highlight the entire bar staff, whether in the morning or evening. Super friendly and top notch. It's good that the bar is open from 10.30 a.m. and not just in the evening, like in other hotels. One wonders how the hotel manages to have so many staff on site these days. Of course, all of this has its price in a 5 star hotel. But you know that beforehand. A little anecdote: once I made the mistake of opening the window and opening the door, due to the negative pressure in the room (9th floor) and it was very windy, both jackets flew off the coat hook in the hotel hallway

Most beautiful view in all of Warnemünde..

It was a great stay as a couple. From the staff to the best breakfast in the sky bar, an excellent view from up there. All the restaurants in the hotel top it all off. We'll be back!

The location is of course fantastic, we had a room on the 18th floor with a view of the pier and the harbor. From the balcony you can constantly watch the ships, not only the ferries, but also the cruise ships, you can even see the ships' berths. All the employees in the house are extremely friendly. The service at mealtimes is attentive but not intrusive. We have never been treated like this before, simply wonderful. And today absolutely not the rule, the employees know a correct wine service, you can tell that there are professionals in this hotel. Breakfast is great and dinner is just great. The starters were very tasty, the many fish were exceptional. Simply a dream vacation.

Five stars in Germany???? In other countries you get noticeably friendly service. Buffet restaurant at a very poor level. Food rather cold and selection rather limited. As we said, in other countries you have a much larger selection!!!!!! Just oysters and crab don't make a good restaurant. The view is special. Meant positively. Everyone has to know price/performance for themselves I thought it was set too high. Again, probably not

Conference 2024 In autumn 2024 I was a participant in a conference at the Hotel Neptun, without an overnight stay. The service was great, there was parking (a bit expensive, €25 per day), and extra requests were taken into account at the excellent lunch buffet. The buffet was also replenished. When it comes to coffee, you could also offer specialties. I experienced this at another conference, there was a machine for latte, crema, capuccino, etc. What deserves 5 stars is the service. The staff was always available and very friendly. I had received flowers and someone immediately brought a vase of water. Thank you for everything.

Café Panorama: only opens at 1 p.m. Be careful, the old Ossis are pushing their way forward. If you want a table by the window, especially towards the harbor, be sure to reserve a table.

State-of-the-art Ostalgie. Be sure to use the bathroom and sauna, especially when it's stormy outside. Breakfast is worth the money.

I was able to book the room on tel. Demand not to advise when a panoramic corner room is available for a period of 7 days. The promise to check this and send me a written notification was not kept. 2 stars remain from my first visit; another one will not take place because I have not received any response to my request.

The Hotel Neptun is okay in itself. It's a bit outdated in places, but everyone is very nice and helpful (I thought until Friday). Room: mine was more modern than my companion's. The carpet was dirty, something stuck to the table and there were also stains on the lampshades. (Star deducted) When I came into the room, the painter was still there painting the balcony and there were still gloves on (it's not so crazy for me now) One morning the cleaners stood in the room while I was standing there half naked and stared at me, apologized after 2 seconds and left. The lady doing the pedicure was super nice and professional. The staff at the lobby bar were also courteous and nice. You have to be careful when you go through the elevators, they tend to close when you're in between. Now to the topic of why 2 stars are deducted: There was a wedding from Friday to Saturday. From 10 p.m. on the 19th floor the party really started. My bed was vibrating from the bass and the music was so loud that I knew what song was playing. At 11:30 p.m. I called reception because there was a quiet night and we needed sleep because we were leaving the next day. The answer? "Yes, I can call upstairs to have the bass turned down. Otherwise we offer earplugs" I'm not at a festival where I need earplugs, but in a 5 star hotel! The bass was turned down, but the music wasn't. In addition, the guests above were jumping, so I thought that a horde of elephants were running above. Then they called downstairs again and what happened? "Yes, it's a wedding, what should I do. We have earplugs, complain to the boss" Sorry, it's quiet from 10 p.m. and the party lasted until about 2 a.m. No consideration is given, the hostel on the Reeperbahn was quieter. The parking garage is not for large cars. Had to maneuver back and forth to get out. Are we coming back? According to Warnemünde: yes Hotel Neptune: no! In my opinion it is not a 5 star hotel.

Hello We've been in this hotel for 3 days now, unfortunately far too short. It was beautiful, it completely exceeded our expectations. Everything was super clean. The rooms were beautiful. The view of the Baltic Sea when showering was breathtaking. The breakfast was super tasty and plenty of choice. The staff was super friendly, except for one and two at the reception, but everyone has a bad day. Hats off to everyone’s daily performance. Keep it up. We'll definitely be back.

My daughter and I went to NEPTUN for the second time this year. Room and bathroom clean. Good housekeeping! The breakfast and evening buffet leaves nothing to be desired. Very friendly staff. Nice wellness area. Only the shower heads in front of the sauna need to be descaled. We'll definitely be back!

Everything you would expect from 5 stars. A place where you feel in luxury.

Per: -Great view and every room has a balcony. 1 free bottle of water in the room, but at 250 euros a night you can expect an item for 50 cents if you arrive thirsty. However, only once per stay. Con: - Price-performance poor, restaurants overpriced (39 euros for a veal schnitzel?) - Pool too cold and old-fashioned, needs to be renovated (like many other things) - There is no whirlpool that is supposed to be there (no, a 100x100cm area in a normal pool that bubbles is not a whirlpool...) -Balcony furniture at Aldi level - update: Breakfast quality noticed today that ham comes from the butcher shop, plus point, still a lot of sausage products for the boomer generation (pressack, yellow sausage and co). Prosciutto Crudo? There is salmon, but it is also of lower quality. No portafilter coffee for breakfast in one 5 star hotel... Just machine or filter, sub-par and a very bad trend. At least you can order an omelette, but they won't actively tell you. - Old TV where Miracast/Chromecast doesn't work, no smart functions such as apps with Netflix or similar. - Wi-Fi in the room no or poor reception (2 lines). - No irons in the room, nor can you have one brought to you. You could also provide a steamer but no. There is also no ironing room where you can iron yourself, no, I don't want to pay 8 euros for a polo that takes just 5 minutes to iron 🙄 the argument is with fire brigade bans and high-rise buildings, strangely in every other high-rise hotel chain this has never been a problem in DE and countless countries. This way you can also save costs and make money. There are also irons with an automatic switch-off, which is apparently not known here.

There is no relationship between price and performance. The location alone is really great. Otherwise there is no comparison to a “real” 5-star hotel. GDR flair (especially the dining room), everything is pretty old. No air conditioning, no kettle in the room (usual 5-star standard), endless waiting times at reception and elevators. Some really rude staff. The breakfast and evening buffets are also of average quality. For 250 €/night you clearly have to offer more! 5-star is different.

I wasn't there, but I bought a voucher. I was able to have this sent home free of charge. The voucher looks really valuable and comes with a nice envelope. Unfortunately, something like this doesn't happen very often anymore, but giving it as a gift is so much more fun. Thank you!

We stayed at the Hotel Neptun with our grandchild for Warnemünde Week. Always wanted to check in there. For us it was the first and last time as it was disappointing for a 5 star hotel. 3 star hotels can keep up just as well. The most positive thing is the beautiful view. The breakfast is also quite ok. Our booked breakfast was also advertised on the 19th FLOOR, but what we were not told beforehand was that for this view you would have to pay an additional €20 per person on top of the breakfast we had already booked. We skipped this floor and had breakfast on the second floor, where the view of the water was also great. The parking garage is awesome. €25 per night. The parking there was probably still designed for Trabis. You can also argue about the cocktail prices, €15 per cocktail. Room very small. Just don't take an extra large suitcase with you. Queues at reception and impersonal mass processing. I prefer the many smaller hotels.

We had a great graduation ball at the hotel.

We were satisfied with our stay. There are some “criticisms”. We had booked a parking space at Neptun. We pulled into the driveway with license plate registration. But not out again. How can that be? We raised the problem twice at reception. I can get into the parking garage, but I can't get out again. The barrier didn't open even though our license plate number was recorded in the system. Another point of criticism on our part is the seating at breakfast and dinner. Solo travelers and couples block/occupy tables of four. The staff should take a look here. It just can't be. There was no space available, there were three of us and we had to sit at a table for two. In the room/bathroom it would be nice if the shower gel was refilled when it runs out. Cleanliness was good.

It was my first time at the Hotel Neptun and I really liked it. The rooms were clean, the breakfast was plentiful and the staff was consistently friendly and accommodating. The prices are of course corresponding to a 5-star hotel. It certainly wasn't my last visit to this hotel :) What's positive is that all rooms have a sea view and the location right on the beach is of course ideal.

The hotel is not customer oriented at all! Only profit is in the foreground. A small mistake when booking cost me several hundred euros! Even though I immediately reported the mistake to the hotel! Not even a change in the date was accepted, despite my many accomodations! The employees were unfriendly and made no effort to find a halfway satisfactory solution for me. At any other hotel in this star category, accommodation would be a given.

As always, it was a wonderful stay. Requests are taken into account when making a reservation, the staff is very accommodating and friendly - especially towards children. We'll stay loyal and come back soon...

We felt very comfortable. The room was big enough and very clean with a great view of the Baltic Sea and the city. The service throughout the hotel was excellent and the friendly staff was particularly noteworthy. Breakfast and evening buffets are excellent and varied. Excellent staff here too. In Neptune you can also “endure” a few rainy days on the Baltic Sea.

This hotel is incredible. My husband and I made a mistake on the date and even though we have been guests at this hotel several times, we are not offered a refund or a change of date because it was supposedly a special price (the "special price" was €324). The employees are unfriendly on the phone and don't make any effort to provide us with a solution. I definitely expect something different from a hotel like this. An impudence...

We stayed at the Neptun Hotel as a family for ten days. It's a nice hotel, but I wouldn't describe it as special. I definitely wouldn't give it five stars. The rooms are very nice and of course have a great view of Warnemünde and the Baltic Sea. A very special thank you goes to our room fairy. Cleaning was carried out very thoroughly every day. We had fresh towels and received a friendly, good morning and lots of smiles every day. Unfortunately, this does not apply to the rest of the staff. Maybe it's part of the company philosophy. But unfriendliness is very important. What struck us particularly negatively on the first day was the bald porter. We've never been to Neptune before and we couldn't have been received in a more grumpy way! Terrible!!! We preferred to bring our suitcases to the room ourselves. And the bald wellness employee is even unfriendly! People constantly looked into the saunas and changing rooms without asking or knocking. The doors were slammed and the water cups were filled with a loud and ill-tempered sound. Actually, this area is there to relax, but thanks to the gentleman, I didn't feel that way. Otherwise the wellness area is very nice. The swimming pool was also fine. We asked about family times for the children and were told quite rudely that it is not a children's hotel and therefore no family times exist. The Neptune should perhaps be a bit more family-friendly; the hotel guests didn't find the children a nuisance. The breakfast was rich, but definitely not varied enough for a five-star hotel. My conclusion, it was nice. But unfortunately nothing more. And as I said, a huge thank you again to our room fairies!!!!!

After eating in the wine bar, we visited the hotel bar. This is simply and beautifully furnished. The barman was very nice and the piano player played beautifully. I can highly recommend a drink there.

Probably the only 6 star hotel there is in Germany with a restaurant upstairs in the Sky Bar but the prices are high but of course you also get 5 star cuisine... Very classy hotel probably the most famous in all of Rostock Warnemünde and Mecklenburg Western Pomerania. .. And unfortunately I have to apologize that I can't give you 6 stars ✨✨✨✨✨✨... I have been coming to the Neptun for years and always feel comfortable in this relaxed environment and relax like no other hotel in Warnemünde. Of course, this has its price, but I'm willing to pay as long as the quality remains at this high level...

For us (still) the first address when visiting Warnemünde... But the signs of diminishing service strength due to a lack of qualified human capital are unfortunately obvious. Very unpleasant for a 5* hotel…

Sensational - I'm thrilled - from the room, from the restaurant, from the pool, from the sauna - sea views everywhere Great service, top rooms, friendly staff, great food, champagne for breakfast no matter how much, coffee machine in the room, tray in the room where everything is explained to you and you can order, balcony covered, pick-up at the train station - you can't list it all - feel completely comfortable - and in a top location - I'm thrilled A more exclusive hairdryer 😉 and there would be 20 stars, that's 19 1/2 - big praise to the whole team here

We've been going to Neptune for 20 years now, so I don't think there's much to write about! The additional view is an eye's width. The staff is a well-rehearsed team, friendly and accommodating. What I have to complain about are the rolls and the bread, which wasn't always fresh, but that's all a matter of opinion! We will be back...

The Hotel Neptun looks like a tower in the Baltic Sea landscape

Nice hotel, good location, nice service, fits.

We are regular visitors/overnighters to Warnemünder and wanted to try out the famous Hotel Neptun. Unfortunately, in our opinion this is not a 5 star hotel. The view and the location as well as the food are great and you can't find it anywhere else. The friendliness of the employees is also worth mentioning. However, if you like the old GDR charm including the corresponding people over 65, this is the right place for you. Unfortunately, the swimming pool also has yellow tiles and doesn't spray much Charm. The sauna area, on the other hand, is great. But we won't be checking in here anymore because it's not modern enough for us.

We spontaneously decided to stay at the Neptun Hotel for one night as many other hotels were already fully booked. Of course we had corresponding expectations given the price. Unfortunately, these were not fulfilled. We arrived with an electric car including a bike rack and wanted to charge our car too. We were greeted by a very nice doorman who kindly explained to us that the charging stations in the outdoor parking lot unfortunately didn't work and that we would have to drive into the parking garage. Unfortunately it's so narrow there that we have to take down the bike rack first. Said and done. We were also warmly welcomed at reception. Unfortunately, the people on duty had no idea about the charging stations and how to activate them. Here we did some research ourselves. Unfortunately, the charging itself still has to be paid for separately. In other hotels in this price range, this is possible for a small flat rate or even free of charge. The room on an upper floor was attractive, although a bit old. We still didn't sleep well. The sun was already so high in the room in the morning that you had to leave the balcony door open to ensure pleasant air quality. There was a lot of traffic outside from 7 a.m. onwards, which didn't allow you to get a good night's sleep. The curtains are well-intentioned, but the gap at the top means the room is still as bright as day. The spa was great - very friendly staff work here. :) When we wanted to have breakfast around 9 a.m., we initially waited in line for the elevators for 15 minutes. All the elevators that stopped were full. At some point we took the stairs, which unfortunately led us first over the parking deck and then around the house again through the main entrance into the lobby. After 25 minutes we were at breakfast. The breakfast was very good at times. But in some places not. You get the latte macchiato yourself in cups from a machine - the quality is mediocre. The waffles and crepes had been there for quite a while and tasted just right. It could be even better - at least for the price you pay. The location and view were of course sensational. Guests were almost exclusively pensioners - most of them arrived by coach. One of them left at breakfast time, which is why the elevators were full. All in all ok - but just not worth the price.

The prices for the parking garage are far too high but that's exactly the same in the public parking garage next door.

...I've stayed in the hotel several times and got married there 40 years ago. Now, as a little surprise for my wife, I wanted to reserve a table for breakfast in the Skybar." That's not possible, I was told to "get in line"😭 ...if that's not a service... My question would be: ....wrong staff or bad boss?

My wife and I stayed at the Neptun again because there is no comparable beautiful and pleasant hotel on the Baltic Sea with such great service and many offers. The rooms are great, we couldn't find a single point of criticism. What was new for us was the quick service if you think the room doesn't need to be completely cleaned. Then just the beds are made, everything is filled up and it looks like new again. If you hang the corresponding door sign outside on the door, the room will quickly be brought back into shape. For us, everything was already done when we came back from breakfast. Just great! The Weineck restaurant is also great. We didn't manage to eat somewhere else in the evening because the atmosphere, the service, the food and the delicious wines are just great. What was new to me was that there are infusions in the sauna in the wellness area! Excellent. Either I missed this on previous visits or this is new. In any case, we were very happy about it. The infusion times and the infusions could also be recorded in the Daily Prophet (guest information that is on the breakfast table in the morning). We are already looking forward to our next stay at the Neptun and would like to thank the entire great Neptun team!

Super great hotel. I'd love to come back.

Unfortunately it wasn't very bright in the bathroom, the cosmetic mirror was too dark, I told reception and they wanted to take care of it, nothing happened. The mirrors and glass walls were poorly cleaned, streaks. In the foyer, seats ripped off, photo. The breakfast buffet was very good.
