There were a few mistakes at breakfast, but that can happen. The rooms were absolutely clean and nicely furnished. There were many attractions and areas, but they were always crowded. Overall, a nice and large hotel with a beautiful sea view.

We felt completely at ease in this hotel. The staff were consistently very friendly and attentive. Our room was modernly furnished and offered a wonderful view of the sea – simply magnificent! The breakfast selection was extensive and left nothing to be desired. We also booked the evening buffet and a four-course menu, which had a different theme each night. The buffets were always varied, beautifully presented, and delicious. I would also like to commend the staff for responding to my suggestions in a friendly manner and addressing them promptly – this made us feel valued as guests. The service staff were always attentive, helpful, and efficient. One small suggestion for improvement would be direct access (e.g., via elevator) from the hotel lobby to the parking levels, which would further enhance convenience. As an idea for a special highlight: A shanty evening with sea shanties would perfectly complement the hotel's North German flair and would surely delight many guests. Overall, a very enjoyable stay – we would love to return!

My wife and I stayed at this hotel from October 8th to 12th, 2025. I booked a double room on the 9th floor, including breakfast and one dinner. The price was €1180.00 plus tourist tax. Use of the sauna and swimming pool was included. If we had wanted, use of the fitness room would also have been included. Unfortunately, I had to pay a high parking fee for my car. At the Neptun Hotel, it costs €25 per night. Parking in the parking garage opposite costs €18 per night. This is a common problem in Warnemünde. The hotel is well-equipped and has very competent staff. The rooms are very clean and have showers. Breakfast was extensive and fresh. It couldn't be better. For the dinner we booked separately, we could choose between a set menu or a buffet. We chose the buffet and were very satisfied. With such a wide variety, there was something for everyone. In the evening, we enjoyed several long drinks in the bar area, accompanied by live piano music. Overall, we were very satisfied and would gladly book there again. I recommend choosing a room on a higher floor, as the view is fantastic.

I stayed at the Hotel NEPTUNE in Warnemünde from Saturday to Tuesday. Officially a 5-star hotel, it felt more like a good 4-star hotel to me. My room on the 12th floor was modern, clean, and had an incredible view of the Baltic Sea. The view gets really nice from about the 10th floor upwards, and from the 15th floor onwards, you can no longer see the parking lot. The small window in the shower is a particularly cool feature; you can look out while showering. The service could be improved. At check-in, I only received my room key, no explanation of the facilities. I had to ask for all the information myself; there was no tour. This is annoying, especially when you've paid a lot of money for a 5-star vacation. The spa is lovely, with several saunas, a pool, and a fitness room. I had a back massage, a facial, and a full-body massage. The masseurs were very friendly. The SkyBar is a highlight; the cakes are fantastic, but you should definitely make a reservation if you want to sit by the window. Breakfast was great with a wide selection of fruit and bread. Overall nice, but the service didn't live up to 5-star standards.

A decent hotel, although I don't understand the hype. Friendly, yes, but that's about it. The lobby lacked light; everything felt dark. I felt there was a lack of explanation regarding the services included in our booked package. For example, where to get the welcome cocktail or when the best time to go to the café was. We had to ask about everything or call ourselves. We had half-board twice, one of which was the buffet, which was really delicious 😋, and the other a set menu. The food, in my opinion, didn't live up to the standards of a 5-star hotel. The boiled potatoes looked shriveled and were very spicy for me. I didn't even know potatoes were supposed to be spicy. The massage included in the package also left much to be desired. But we were told beforehand that it would only be a superficial massage. Breakfast was definitely the best part, even though it included some day-old rolls. For me, the hotel was disappointing, unfortunately.

Hello dear Neptun Hotel, my husband and I have been married for 24 years. We've known each other our whole lives. My husband used to come to your hotel with his friends on their mopeds, and the doorman always let them in. That wasn't a given back in the GDR days. On October 31, 2025, my husband turned 60, and we decided to spend this special day with you, as we've never actually stayed overnight at the Neptun Hotel before. 😊 For years, we've been coming to your restaurant and for coffee, as we live only 30 minutes away. We've had wonderful days with you, visiting the Broiler Bar, the Sky Bar with our guests, and the wine bar with our friends. It was simply wonderful ♥️. We are so grateful for the wonderful time you gave us. You have fantastic staff. They are so welcoming. Anyone who complains about little things should stay home. We had a very pleasant 3-day stay at the Hotel Neptun. No one can control the weather, but the wellness facilities, the restaurant, and the fantastic view more than made up for it. We can't understand some of the reviews, neither the negative nor the positive ones. We stayed at the hotel during the GDR era, in the Skybar, at the rotisserie, and even in the same room for our wedding anniversary, and we weren't exactly bigwigs. I would still like to offer one small suggestion: I find scrambled eggs from a packet unacceptable for a 5-star hotel. Kind regards.

First of all, I'd like to mention that we absolutely don't consider ourselves the target audience for this hotel, as we're under 30, definitely far too young compared to the rest of the guests. The hotel is definitely geared toward the 60+ age group, and you can tell that in many places. SERVICE: I'd like to highlight the positive aspect here: the staff was exceptionally friendly and accommodating, as I would expect from a 5-star hotel. However, what disappointed me in terms of service is that they still charge exorbitant prices for drinks from the minibar. In times of flat-rate drinks and inclusive offers, this could be packaged much more pleasantly. I'd rather pay €20 more per night, but then everything is included. It just has a strange aftertaste, paying €5 for 0.5L of water and €4.20 for a 0.2L Coke... ROOMS: Unfortunately, I have to mention a few things here that I didn't like so much. The rooms are very well laid out and very comfortable in size. Of course, the view from the 15th floor is absolutely fantastic and can hardly be topped. However, for me, the rooms are not up to the standard of a 5-star hotel. The sinks weren't really clean, there were deposits and dirt everywhere, and an unpleasant odor from the drain. This could be due to a lack of cleaning, or because everything is a bit old. The same applies to the balconies. The balcony floors and railings could definitely use an upgrade. The paint is already peeling off. New paint and something modern, as well as attractive cladding on the balconies, would greatly improve the overall experience. The beds were comfortable, but also very worn, and you can see from the sockets and switches that everything is a few years old. Regarding the TV, we found it odd that, although it's a smart TV, the smart TV functions are locked, meaning you can't log in with your own streaming services and are limited to the conventional TV program. DOG: Since we had our little four-legged friend with us, I'd also like to say something about that. There are two dedicated dog areas, and I think that's absolutely fantastic. In a time when many people are more likely to have a dog than a child, and many older people also have dogs, that's a fantastic offer. The rooms are equipped with two bowls and a towel smelling of treats. We thought that was really great. The general service was also great, and all three of us felt very welcome. OTHER: Parking the car in the hotel's own parking garage is ridiculously expensive at €25 per day... for me, it's the same issue as the minibar. You could also simply hide the prices in higher room rates, thus creating a more pleasant and, above all, more transparent pricing experience. The breakfast was very extensive and we enjoyed it very much, even though the table allocation was very poorly handled, so we found ourselves returning from the buffet to find our table taken... But here, too, it's very clear that young people aren't the hotel's clientele. The selection of vegan alternatives is very limited (neither of us are vegans or vegetarians, but we wanted to mention that here), and all the dishes tend to be hearty, which is especially popular with older guests. Unfortunately, we can't comment on dinner, as we found €55 per person for the evening buffet a bit too expensive, and we were very rudely turned away at the Broiler restaurant with the statement, "We're sold out for today and have no more broilers" at 6:30 p.m.... All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, but we wouldn't return until some modernization and a rethink of the pricing policy. I think that young people, or those who prefer something more modern and contemporary, would be better off at the Aja next door or at the Hotel Hohe Düne.

We were at an event in the event room adjacent to the Neptun Hotel. As we left the event, we went to the front entrance and politely asked over the speakerphone if they could call us a taxi while we were standing in the cold. The receptionist then said, "I'm sorry, we only order taxis for hotel guests," and left us standing in the cold. I found that quite unprofessional and, well, how should I put it, just plain horrible. Maybe the receptionist isn't to blame, but management could consider doing something about this, right?

A married couple (around 80 years old) came to breakfast, she well-dressed and with red lips, he in a suit and tie. They looked like the East Germans who used to be allowed into the hotel. We ordinary citizens could only see it from the outside.

Our family went to the Panorama Restaurant for coffee ☕️. The service was commendable; they brought me a new piece of cake because I didn't like the one I ordered. Thank you again for that. The iced coffee could have been a little more zingy. It was made with very strong coffee, and the cream on top was slightly crumbly. Perhaps a little bit of caramel syrup would make it taste sweeter. Otherwise, the service has improved a lot over the past few years.

I have been a regular guest at this hotel for over 30 years. What makes this hotel special is its location and the view from the rooms. I have also compared the service over the past few years and the quality of the offerings with other hotels on the Baltic Sea, in Warnemünde, and worldwide. I would particularly like to evaluate the development in recent years. It is disappointing. The gap between price and performance is widening. In my observation, the quality of the breakfast has continued to decline and does not meet the standards of a 5-star hotel. I was particularly shocked by the room reservation. Despite repeated attempts to request a callback, this was not forthcoming. This was necessary because special requests cannot be answered in an online booking. Options such as a view of the pier now cost 60 euros, unclear whether this applies per night or the entire stay; this was not available before. Special requests, for example, table reservations, have not been granted, at least for me, in the last three years despite citing a wedding anniversary. Over the past three years, Hotel Neptun has made it clear to me what kind of service is unheard of in Germany. But that's not the case. There are also good alternatives in Warnemünde, except for the view of the Baltic Sea. As a regular customer, I'm therefore not eligible for the program and prefer the Caribbean or Southeast Asia. My review may be influenced by frustration with the behavior of the reservations department, but it's generally accurate.

A must-visit for us every year! Very friendly and courteous service from arrival to room service, as well as an unparalleled view of the promenade, the beach, and Warnemünde itself! Nothing can be added to this review in 2023 either! New Year's Eve 2023/24 was another highlight for us. Dancing in the Skybar with great acts and a very good menu. We visited twice in 2024 and will definitely be back. There are no compromises in the friendliness of the staff or the service. They have certainly managed to maintain and improve the standards of the past many years. This is also, and perhaps, due to the training of many young people with foreign roots, which we would definitely consider a positive. However, there was one aspect we didn't quite like. We think the new uniforms of the service staff are completely out of place at the "Neptune"; they should at least be critically reexamined. Finally, we would like to mention the following: We have been traveling with our pet for many years and are therefore always accommodated on the 15th floor. At this point, we would like to express our special thanks to Ms. Amfeld and the rest of the team, who always make our stay on "your" floor so pleasant. Thank you so much! We had room 613, the side facing the teapot. The air conditioning, ventilation, and heat pump units below our room made sleeping impossible at night. Unacceptable humming and buzzing. One could certainly install a soundproof wall supported horizontally on low columns.

A 5-star hotel that unfortunately lives up to its reputation. The location is beautiful, and all the rooms have a sea view. We found our room and the hotel to be clean. Families aren't really the clientele these days, and the service only partially draws attention to special children's items (cutlery, booster seats, children's buffet) - a real shame, because how would a guest know about such things on their first visit. The food, unfortunately, was nothing special, and some of it wasn't labeled. The parking garage is incredibly cramped. We consider it a good 3, max 4-star hotel in Germany. Individual requests, even months in advance, couldn't be accommodated... Value for money, definitely not there for us.

We wanted to redeem a voucher that had expired. Since the prices had increased, we were naturally willing to pay the difference. Unfortunately, the Hotel Neptun is unable to accept expired vouchers. I expected more from a five-star hotel. Being from Rostock, the disappointment is even greater. There were two things. I found the queue at the reception very inappropriate. The price-performance ratio was no longer right. Standing in line to check in or even just to ask questions is inappropriate. Cleanliness needs to be taken a bit more seriously. We were satisfied with our stay. There are a few points of criticism. We had booked a parking space at the Neptun hotel. We entered the driveway with the license plate number scanned, but couldn't get out again. How is that possible? We raised the issue at reception twice. I can get into the parking garage, but not out again. The barrier didn't open, even though our license plate number was registered in the system. Another point of criticism from us is the table occupancy at breakfast and dinner. Solo travelers and couples block/occupy tables for four. The staff should take a look at this. It simply can't be right. There was no space available; there were three of us, and we had to sit at a table for two. In the room/bathroom, it would be nice if the shower gel was refilled when it ran out. Cleanliness was good.

If anyone's wondering why the wind is still making noise in the room even though all the windows are closed, they should look behind the radiators. Mine had a vent there, probably from the GDR era, that couldn't be closed anymore. It'll be interesting in the winter. Then I always left a sign on the door saying that no one needed to clean. When I returned, I realized the sign was gone. When I asked, the cleaning lady said yes, the sign was there, but I cleaned anyway. Huh, normal? The food was okay. It wasn't a highlight. If you wanted to enjoy the view from the 19th floor in the evening, everything was closed. The bar and even the smoking area.

An evening with music at the Sky Bar on June 28, 2025 – at least for those who knew how to dance to it. The evening's music selection was generally good – at least on paper, or you go there expecting to hear and dance tango, waltz, etc. In practice, however, you often felt like you were a guest at an event you'd accidentally stumbled upon. The DJ seemed to have a special talent: He fulfilled individual customer requests, but 90 percent of them couldn't dance to them. If he had three good songs up his sleeve, he would immediately switch back to music for professionals, and the dance floor was left to them. He had already cleared the bar before midnight. People under 60 were already leaving before ordering or after their first drink. Our neighboring table was occupied five times, alternating between short breaks. For the competitive dancers and professionals present, it was undoubtedly a celebration. The routines were spot on, the figures were brilliant – you could almost have thought you were at a live elimination dance tournament. However, those who came with less ambition or simply for the joy of movement were more likely to be treated like amazed extras. A better atmosphere can be expected at milestone birthdays, when little Kevin plays the DJ for Grandma. Conclusion: A high-quality evening – albeit on a very specific channel that the majority of guests unfortunately don't receive. So, if you're not a professional dancer and you're visiting the Sky Bar, you're in for a tough time. But if you enjoy senior tea dances as a spectator, this is the place for you. We were extremely disappointed.

The location is unique; every room has a sea view. The rooms are nicely furnished. The service in the spa area and the room service were very good 👍. We were disappointed with the meals. We had breakfast and dinner. The breakfast buffet was quite simple. We're used to better, even at hotels with fewer stars. The biggest disappointment was dinner. Here, the menu was geared towards the mostly older guests; it resembled a health clinic buffet more. The vegetables lacked any seasoning, and the fish and meat were swimming in warming containers. Unfortunately, some of the gentlemen at the reception are still at the level of 40 years ago, during the best of the GDR times, and they have a certain arrogance; you have to wait in line to be assigned a table. Unfortunately, the quality and cleanliness of the rooms have declined considerably. There is dust in many places where you touch or involuntarily look during your stay. This applies to the bathroom, balcony, and room. The only other rooms we stayed on were on the 19th floor. The flooring there looked repaired and heavily used. In general, the entire hotel, as far as we used it, seemed old, not unkempt. It might not necessarily be noticeable to 80-year-olds, but for me the hotel has unfortunately lost a lot of its charm. Starting with the staff for luggage and car parking. That was practically unavailable to us because there was just one man left for the peak arrival time of 3 p.m. and departure time of 9:50 a.m. And my impression is that the reception also played a part in this. As a long-time guest of the hotel since 1999, with various addresses due to professional reasons (Wernigerode, Heidelberg, Rathenow, Premnitz), I don't want to speak ill of my father, Mr. Achim Brückner from Schöne Ecke 28, Wernigerode, who had already visited this hotel as a Genex guest in the late 1970s to the mid-1980s. I also don't want to diminish the services of the many other employees, who also treated us with their hospitality in the hotel bar. But over the years, the price/performance gap has widened considerably. I find it particularly regrettable that the hotel shows little or no appreciation for particularly long-term guests. It is sad for the Neptun Hotel that the term "regular guest" is only used in the form of frequent flyer miles. Especially since these guests predominantly do not finance their visits through employment subject to social security contributions.

We stayed at this hotel for four nights and booked half-board. The location could hardly be topped. After a friendly welcome at reception, we checked into our lovely room. It was located on the upper level of the building, offering a fantastic view of the sea and Warnemünde. The rooms have balconies and are very modern. Everything was clean. The friendly, courteous, and hard-working cleaning staff deserve a special mention. Bathrobes, etc., for the spa area are provided. We opted for the buffet for breakfast and dinner. The selection was very extensive. The food was delicious, and the service was attentive and friendly. A coffee and a slice of cake in the café at the top is highly recommended! There are plenty of parking spaces. Thank you for the great vacation!

The daily water aerobics at 8 a.m. was simply fantastic! Great trainer! Breakfast was always plentiful! The Bircher muesli, porridge, fresh strawberries, and pancakes were particularly good! Excursions to Rostock, Heiligendamm, Kühlungsborn, Graal-Müritz, Darß, etc. Warnemünde also has a beautiful hiking trail along the coast. Café Panorama is an experience! We expected more. I know this hotel from my childhood with its outstanding service and loving guest care. Unfortunately, much of this has fallen by the wayside. The hotel appears to be “out of date” in many places, the rooms were not in good condition, some were poorly maintained and the price-performance ratio in the F&B area could also be improved. The breakfast offerings were good, but there are better alternatives to the à la carte restaurants in Warnemünde in the immediate vicinity. The rooms are carelessly cleaned, bed linen hasn't been changed once in 5 days, towels and bathrobes have holes in them. This does not correspond to a 5-star hotel. Complaints are not sufficiently acknowledged. Of course the location and view are unique, but it's a shame if the management rests on its laurels on the A-location. There is still a lot of room for improvement for a hotel in the luxury segment...

A few days ago my family and I had dinner in the Broilerbar of the Hotel Neptun. Since it was quite full we had to wait until a table was free. We spent the waiting time in the lobby of the hotel. Since our son (2 years old) was quite bored, he played with brochures that were on display and distributed them on the floor. Suddenly a woman came up to us, roughly grabbed his arm and said, "Hello, can you stop that?" What right does this woman have to touch our son? I think her name is Mrs. Buller, supposedly the deputy hotel manager said to us that we didn't have our children under control. This arrogant and conceited person cannot judge that at all. Our son just played, wasn't loud and didn't run around the lobby screaming. Adults who know how to behave are welcome here, but families, especially with small children, are out of place here. I don't know whether Ms. Buller has children, she has probably forgotten that she was once little herself. It wasn't possible to have a clarifying conversation with her, she wouldn't let you finish and was of the opinion that she would have to ban us from the house if we couldn't behave properly. What kind of disrespectful person is this. I will immediately cancel the rooms reserved for this summer. But I don't think Ms. Buller cares. I'm seriously considering whether I should report this woman again.

Nice hotel with a great location. The suite on the 16th floor guarantees great sunsets and breathtaking views. However, the Neptune has lost some of its exclusivity. For these prices you can and should expect more. Breakfast on the 19th floor is great with the view. But not the quality and selection. There wasn't even Camembert or anything like that. We have 45 fried eggs on the day of departure!!! Waited minutes. It's quicker in the hostel. And you have to pay an additional €20 per person if you don't live in the suite. Service staff very friendly. Absolutely! But the service quality is more like 3 stars. I'm sorry, you worked hard for that. For example, on the day of departure, the previous person's sausage, etc. was in the fridge... No one was interested in the note. WiFi is good, but not particularly powerful. Everything is unacceptable in the price league. I think we'll go somewhere else soon.

We've stayed at Herr Ober's restaurant several times before and have always been satisfied. But this time we were speechless. The whole room was very dusty and the floor wasn't exactly clean. The worst part was the bathroom. I've never seen such a filthy bathroom. It felt like it hadn't been cleaned in six months. You can't get hair stuck to the floor by vacuuming. The entire floor was dirty and covered in hair. We then told the nice lady at breakfast that we needed our bathroom cleaned. This was passed on, but only the towels were changed; everything else remained the same. We then tried to remove the hair from the bathroom floor ourselves. It was really stubbornly stuck. You could have made a wig out of the hair we mopped up. It was simply disgusting. Breakfast was okay, and the service from the friendly breakfast lady was very good. But if I have to sleep in filth, that's where I draw the line. ... We'll probably never stay there again, what a shame.

If you like home-style cooking, this is the place for you. Very original: The menu is served on a newspaper stand—I remember that from my childhood… the decor is just as original. What comes out of the kitchen is simple and good. Home-style cooking without any fuss. The service is attentive and friendly. The owner is a real character: a true Mecklenburg native, she has everything under control without any fuss and always has her eyes on everything, ensuring her guests' well-being. Today was one of those days: She offered pork knuckle as a special dish, which wasn't on the menu. The anticipation for the meal grew by the minute, especially since there was only a limited amount, much to the disappointment of later arrivals. We were lucky: Served on mashed peas and sauerkraut with rendered bacon, the thick pork knuckle was enthroned… A real treat! Homemade apple cake with cream and a cup of coffee rounded off the meal. What more could you want?
