Hotel und Griechische Restaurant zur Linde in Glottertal

I have no idea where the above-average reviews for this restaurant come from! During the week the two of us had dinner in the beer garden behind the house. The dilapidated condition of the beer garden should have put us off. (What's so difficult about cleaning exposed concrete slabs with a high-pressure cleaner or giving the fence elements some fresh paint) The female waiter was attractive and cleanly dressed. Unfortunately, this positive impression was ruined by the male waitress. This gentleman served in baggy jeans and a T-shirt, which also looked dingy.⁹ Unfortunately the whole thing continued while eating!! An appetizing grilled liver was drowned in olive oil and the melted herb butter enhanced the whole thing. All in all not worth the money and not recommended!!!!

Conveniently located on the main street, the hotel has a good price-performance ratio, the staff is friendly, there is plenty of on-site parking. The Greek restaurant offers a sufficient selection of typical Greek dishes that are very tasty. Overall, highly recommended.

I don't understand where all the good 5-star reviews come from (who thinks bad things...) We spontaneously went to this restaurant to eat because Greek food is always good (we thought). Now to the reality (pros & cons): Per: - very friendly service - Food came relatively quickly - starter good (tzatziki) - Side salad delicious - Portions of starter/salad and main course large and sufficient - Toilets seemed clean Cons: - Overall appearance of the hotel inside and out / parking lot / beer garden can definitely be described as unkempt and worn out! - Tables and chairs are probably from the 70s and haven't been replaced since then. - Main course (1x gyro plate and 1x Metaxxa plate), completely over-seasoned and the gyro was limp. - Beer glasses were "blind" and cleanliness looks different... Conclusion: Unfortunately NOT a recommendation because the overall picture is really bad and the food would get a maximum of a grade 4. I've never had such a negative experience with a Greek restaurant, EVERY Greek chip shop is much cleaner and tastier! Based on this experience, I would not consider this hotel as an overnight stay.

Good service and delicious food, the portions are generous. I had to eat the starter menu up and down - I really liked the Melitsanes/Kolokithakia, Tsatsiki and Taramas, among others.

Was very good food. The Gyros Metaxa was tasty and filling.

Very tasty Greek food and great service. The decor may be a bit old, but that doesn't matter because we come for good food and good service. It was very tasty and we will definitely come back. A recommendation from us!

If you want to eat well and eat a lot, this is the right place for you. The food tastes really good here. Probably the best Greek restaurant far and wide in the Freiburg area. Service and the boss of the house were very, very friendly. Everything was right here. It's worth it to give your taste buds a treat here.

Wir waren das erste mal hier und sind begeistert. Das Personal und der Chef sind sowas von freundlich und aufmerksam....einfach toll :-) Das Essen ist echt hervorragend und preislich absolut top. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

Einfach genial, der Wirt sehr zuvor komment, wir haben sogar neben einem Ouzo auch einen Nachtisch kostenlos bekommen, alles war super lecker, wir kommen definitiv wieder wenn wir in der Nähe sind, alles frisch und super 👍

Sehr, sehr freundliches Personal, vorzügliches Essen, gemütlich und sehr hübsch eingerichtet, preislich vielleicht etwas teurer als der Durchschnitt, aber das ist es wirklich wert!😋
