Hotel-Restaurant Zur Heide in Aachen

Was there on Tuesday for dinner with a business colleague. Very good food. Not exactly cheap - but you get what you pay for. The service/operation leaves nothing to be desired. The menu selection for dishes is - let's say: modest. But there is something for everyone. And the “something” is also very good for that. All in all: Very good value for money. You can eat really well and comfortably here.

Visited the restaurant! Starter: Wild mushroom soup / Very good Main course: Schnitzel Bernese style / Good Dessert: Ice cream with nuts in coffee liqueur / Sufficient Service: The ladies and gentlemen were on point and very attentive Will visit the restaurant again to try a steak.

Were there for dinner. Very tasty cuisine with a nice greeting from the kitchen.....Very nice and friendly staff.....great extra praise to the kitchen and the nice boss....Small but completely sufficient menu...is basically for Something for everyone. Prices are a little higher than in normal restaurants but in my opinion they are totally justified... It's best to try it out for yourself...

We had dinner here again with our son, daughter-in-law and grandchild. What we noticed positively about a year ago was that our little granddaughter, 4 years old, also received a greeting from the kitchen. Very friendly and courteous staff and boss who also have some fun. Food and desserts, especially the strawberry ice cream, were very good. We will continue to enjoy eating here again in the future. Went to the heath again today and the food, for me it was the lamb ragout, was just as we are used to on the heath. It was very tasty.

I felt very comfortable there, the rooms are very clean, quiet location, nice service and a healthy breakfast buffet. I can only recommend it. We'll definitely see each other again soon😊

Not recommended as a vegetarian. I ordered a vegetarian dish. It came with meat. It was then explained to me that there was the same dish with meat and I should know that the dish with meat was also available somewhere else on the menu and I should explicitly order the vegetarian dish. I assumed that the dish was vegetarian under the vegetarian category. It's obviously my mistake that, as a vegetarian, I don't look at the whole menu. I think that can happen, but then I don't blame the guest for the confusing menu, but rather ask when ordering. Quite easy if you do it cleverly.

…well, we arrived by bike. We were greeted very friendly and were able to safely park the bikes and have a cool drink. Afterwards we moved into our rooms, which were nothing special, but the rooms were clean, comfortable beds and great showers in the bathrooms, which were also very tidy and clean. That's enough for us, we really only use the rooms for sleeping/showering etc. But what absolutely thrilled us was the really friendly, committed staff, the great breakfast and by far the best food that we know from our hotel stays. Very, very great. It's worth taking a vacation there at any time just for the excellent cuisine, the delicious beer and the equally delicious wine. A big shout out to everyone who makes this possible 👍👍👍👌

Pleasant hotel and good food can be recommended

The quality of the food is excellent. The outdoor area has been designed to a very high standard and invites you to linger for a longer period of time. This is also a great place to celebrate on larger occasions.

Very cozy and nice restaurant. Easily accessible. The service is a 10 out of 10. Very fast and super friendly and a really nice atmosphere. We celebrated my grandma's 90th birthday. Everything was taken care of excellently.

The hotel appealed to us because we were in Aachen for an event, it is located near the motorway and is family-run. We were more than positively surprised. The owners and staff are great, the service is still alive here and the friendliness is authentic! Very good and tasty products in the restaurant, beautiful beer garden, great rooms with blinds and extremely comfortable beds, cleanliness 1a, rich breakfast, large, free parking lot. We felt very comfortable and were perfectly looked after. We would love to come back and have already booked again. Thank you very much for the great short vacation and many greetings from the 2 girls from Lipperland and Lower Saxony.

The hotel has a very convenient and central location, has a beautiful large outdoor area and offers newly renovated rooms that are equipped with everything you need. I would particularly like to highlight the excellent food in the restaurant and the exceptionally friendly service! When we left we forgot a T-shirt, which was sent to us in no time at all without any complications. Thank you again for that! We'd love to come back.

Went there for lunch today, I reserved a table in advance. The food was simply great, a huge compliment to the chef and his team in the kitchen. The service staff was very friendly and quick. We would like to come again.

Last night we went to the Heide very spontaneously and without a reservation at around 7 p.m. The restaurant was - on a weekday! - filled to the last place. But we were allowed to wait, and after a few minutes a table became available and was hastily prepared for us. What followed was an all-round successful evening. As always, the service was attentive and extremely friendly. The greetings from the kitchen were a delight, as were the starters, including the best asparagus cream soup I have ever tasted. It took a while before the main course as a fairly large party was being served in front of us. The kitchen bridged the waiting time with a delicious sorbet. The main courses were first class, everything was prepared to perfection and served attractively. The final bill was absolutely reasonable for the quality of the food and the great service.

We were only there to eat, but the quality and service made it a real pleasure. Not a cheap meal, the price performance is more than justified. All in all a great experience.

Just wow! I honestly don't know if I've ever experienced such good service. The staff is very attentive and extremely friendly. We booked an overnight stay, basically as a transit. Rooms are rustic and very clean. The food is fine dining and very tasty. Greetings from the kitchen for children were very lovingly prepared, there was a small fruit plate. All the waiters were consistently in a good mood and very warm. We felt very comfortable. Many thanks to the entire team

We went here for dinner on Saturday evening. The service is great and the ambience is great too. The food tasted good but the salad could have been a little less and a little more dressing. We also didn't like the fact that the meat was on top of the vegetables and that's why the sauce was. The appetizers before the main course were delicious. At the end there was a nightcap.

After many recommendations, we visited the restaurant for the second time. The staff is “on the ball” and super friendly and relaxed. I haven't raved so much about a "new" restaurant in a long time and I was completely thrilled. The food is highly recommended!!! Really good.

We were politely but firmly asked out, no reservation, no space. There was also little willingness, for example, to put a chair at a free table for two. Apparently they had earned enough that day. I'm happy for all the restaurants that are doing so well.

Ein schöner Abend mit sehr gutem Essen.

Netter Service, schlechtes Essen Wir waren an einem Freitag Abend zu 5 im Restaurant. Auch wenn alle 5 Hauptgerichte zur selben Zeit serviert wurden, waren 4 der 5 Gerichte bedenklich schlecht zubereitet. Klar erkennbar wurden diese 4 Gerichte lange Zeit „warm“ gehalten, was klar durch eine leichte Kruste auf der Sauce erkennbar war. Das Rumpsteak war das einzige Gericht welches frisch vor dem Servieren auch zubereitet wurde (das Steak hatte eine tolle Farbe und war auf den Punkt zubereitet!). Die Gänsebrust, siehe Bild, war eine Frechheit und entspricht weder irgendeinem preislich vergleichbaren Standard, noch entspricht es im Ansatz den anderen hier geposteten Bildern eines Gänsebrust-Gerichts. Schade und überaus bedenklich ist jedoch die komplette Ignoranz für inhaltliches und belegtes Feedback. Ihr selber legt die Preise fest, somit definiert Ihr auch die Erwartungshaltung. Bei einem Preis von 27,90€ für eine Gänsebrust erwarte ich ein gut zubereitetes Gericht und kein zähes und verkochtes Stück Fleisch. Wie gesagt habe ich dem Restaurant die Chance für Feedback im Restaurant selber gegeben, diese wurde jedoch ignoriert.

Für eine geschlossene Gesellschaft gebucht. Das Essen war gut.

Das Essen war sehr köstlich, Service etwas langsam.

Nur Restaurant: Gutes Essen. Die Preise waren der Qualität angemessen. Der Gruß aus der Küche war top. Die Bedienungen machten einen etwas überforderten Eindruck, aber alle sehr freundlich und bemüht. Haben die kleinen Fehler charmant und mit einem lächeln wett gemacht. Insgesamt einen schönen Abend gehabt.

Hotel ist ein Familienbetrieb, sehr freundliche Betreiber und Mitarbeiter. Zimmer sind sauber aber einfach. Könnten etwas Pfiff und Eleganz für den Zimmerpreis vertragen. Die Größe ist gut, das Bad modern mit dem was man braucht. WLAN ist sehr schwach, TV ist bei starkem Wind nicht zu gebrauchen. Die Lage (Autobahnnähe) ist super, aber nur wenn man Gartenseite bucht. Das Restaurant ist bestimmt sehr gut, zumindest nach seinem Ruf her, ausprobiert haben wir es leider nicht. Wird aber nachgeholt. Im Ganzen aber empfehlenswert

Wir waren gestern (24.11.23) im Restaurant um den Geburtstag meiner Mutter zu feiern. Ein Kellner kam schnell und brachte uns zum Tisch und fragte sofort, was wir trinken möchten. Die Getränke kamen zügig. Eine Kellnerin nahm die Speisen auf. Ich nahm die vegetarische Rote Beete Suppe, meine Mutter die Zwiebelsuppe und mein Mann das Tartar. Die Kellnerin fragte mich ob ich vegetarisch sei wegen dem Gruß aus der Küche. Das bestätigte ich. Als die Vorspeise kam, bemerkte ich nach dem 2. Löffel, dass es NICHT die vegetarische Variante war. Die Kellnerin entschuldigte sich und brachte mir nach ca. 10 Minuten die vegetarische Variante. Der Hauptgang war für meine Mutter und mich der Gemüserösti mit Kräuterschmand und Salat, mein Mann hatte das Saltimbocca vom Kanninchen und mein Vater Hirschmedallions mit Fritten. Mein Gemüserösti war versalzen, die Hirschmedallions zu lange in der Pfanne, so dass mein Vater 1 Stück weder schneiden noch essen konnte und die Fritten zu hell, das Saltimbocca war Kanninchenmedallions auf Pilzen mit Knödeln, die Pilze waren kalt. Im gesamten waren die Hauptgerichte nur lauwarm. Als Nachtisch hatte meine Mutter ein Dame Blache, ich den weissen Brownie, mein Mann die Crème Brûlée, mein Vater 2 Kugeln Eis. Die Cème schmeckte nach nichts die anderen Desserts waren in Ordnung. FAZIT: Die Rechnug betrug 186,-€ und wir waren 3,5 Std. da. Es hat viel zu lange gedauert, dass Essen war das Geld nicht wert und was absolut nicht geht, dass man als vegetarisches Gericht eins mit Fleisch bekommt. Da hilft es auch nicht, dass man die Flasche Wein geschenkt sowie die Vorspeise nicht bezahlen muss. Einziger Pluspunkt, dass Personal. Wir kommen definitiv nicht wieder und empfehlen das Restaurant auch nicht weiter. Sehr schade.

Gemütliches Restaurant und schöner Garten.Leider hatten wir einen kühlen Tag erwischt und konnten nicht draußen sitzen. Aber das hat dem schönen Abend keinen Abbruch getan. Der Service war freundlich und kompetent. Das Essen (Lammfilet und Lachs) waren köstlich und ich freue mich schon auf den nächsten Abend im Restaurant.

Motiviertes junges Personal, trotz das extrem viel los war an dem Abend hat alles zu 100 % gepasst. Essen war lecker, Portionen ausreichend, kaltes Bier, jederzeit wieder.

Das Essen am Samstag hat uns allen sehr gut geschmeckt. Das Preisleistungsverhältnis stimmt. Die Bedienung super freundlich, wie ihr schreibt "Familiär" Kann Euch nur weiterempfehlen.

Treffen mit guten Freunden bei köstlichem Essen und guter freundlicher Beratung beim Menue und auch bei den Getränken. Es ist ein echter Familienbetrieb und wir fühlten uns auch wirklich wie Gäste der Familie und nicht unbedingt wie zahlendes Publikum. Überall frische Blumen!!

Die Lage ist in erster Linie, sehr Verkehrsgünstig, war auch einer meiner Gründe, dieses Hotel für zwei Nächte zu buchen. Mein Zimmer war zur Straße hin, relativ laut. Nachts aber kein Problem...
