Auf der Hörn in Aachen

It wasn't really bad, but it wasn't anything particularly special either. A mix of Greek, Turkish and German cuisine. Somehow I was missing the concept and the uniqueness that determines whether you go somewhere special. You can't go wrong with Lukul, but I make these at home well... The service was very nice and attentive. What could be particularly emphasized is that there are many dishes for vegetarians, many of which only offer 1-2 items on the menu. However, special requests were difficult. I have a tomato allergy and specifically asked for a salad without tomatoes, which isn't a big special request, but it came with it anyway, so my husband ate two salads. When picking up the drinks he was completely overlooked twice. We were there with a larger group, but otherwise the restaurant was almost empty so it shouldn't be a big problem that everyone was asked. All in all, not a failure, but not a unique culinary delight either. The offer is probably aimed more at seniors from the residence anyway.

Decent Mediterranean and German cuisine at fair prices, especially at lunch and for pick-up. Always very friendly service. We go there often and are always satisfied. 😊

Always worth a visit. We often eat there with three generations and everyone can find something on the menu. The pick-up card is also highly recommended.

We are disappointed..... It may be that it is a restaurant where you can eat well a la carte. The brunch is definitely nothing... Not a burner in terms of taste. Boiled eggs were cold. no bread, fruit only in the form of a fruit salad. Selection very manageable. There are almost no vegan alternatives. Also no oat milk for cappuccino. DEFINITELY not for vegans. It's a shame there are definitely better ones...

Went there today for brunch with 11 other people, the offering was great in terms of quality and quantity, everyone was thrilled. The staff was very nice and attentive. I can only recommend the restaurant.

Das Ambiente ist zweckmäßig, das Essen gut, der Service einwandfrei. Das Lokal war sehr gut besucht. Dies erfreut zwar den Gastronomen, der Geräuschpegel war deswegen allerdings so hoch, daß ein Gespräch am Tisch in normaler Lautstärke kaum möglich war. Sehr schade.

Absolute recommendation, huge selection, delicious food

Food was a disaster. Are Sunday for breakfast brunch. Scrambled eggs were grayish greenish in places and completely dried out. Börek tasted like old oil. “Vegetarian” isn’t really worth mentioning. Price performance ratio was very bad

Unfortunately the worst breakfast buffet I have ever visited. There are almost only casserole dishes, although the “vegetarian offering” is limited to frozen vegetables with cheese. There is meat in almost everything, and nowadays you should at least be able to find something if you are a vegetarian, especially since it is advertised as such. Unfortunately, the food doesn't taste particularly good either, and unfortunately our expectations were more than exceeded. In the end I paid the buffet price and didn't even eat a dessert size, which was a shame.

The terrace is an absolute highlight in the university district in summer. The dishes are excellent, the service is quick and friendly. One of my favorite restaurants in Aachen.

**Terrible Service and Zero Customer Orientation** I had an extremely disappointing experience at Auf der Hörn restaurant on Saturday, August 10th, 2024. Our group of eight wanted to eat there at 12:00 noon, and three of us arrived ten minutes early at 11:50. Given the restaurant’s large capacity, both inside and outside, and the fact that it was completely empty, we decided to sit outside and wait for the other people to arrive. To accommodate our group, we simply connected an adjacent table to ours —there were no signs of reservations on any table, and the place was entirely vacant. To our astonishment, a waiter came out and rudely chastised us for rearranging the tables without asking. His tone was unnecessarily aggressive, and he barked at us about the restaurant not being open until 12:00 noon, even though we weren’t requesting any service. We were merely sitting and waiting for the rest of our party to arrive. While I can understand the restaurant wanting to maintain control over their table setup, the way the waiter handled the situation was utterly unprofessional. Instead of politely asking us to wait or explaining their policy on table arrangements, he chose to be confrontational and rude. This is not how you treat customers, especially in the service industry. Had the waiter approached us with respect and politeness, the situation could have been easily resolved. Instead, his behavior was so off-putting that it completely soured our experience before it even began. We ended up leaving and took our food in another restaurant. To whoever manages or owns this restaurant: you can thank your rude staff member who was there on Saturday the 10th of August 2024 at 11:50 for the loss of at least €300 in potential revenue. Our group was prepared to enjoy a full meal with starters, main courses, and desserts, but instead, we were met with hostility and poor service. I highly recommend reconsidering your approach to customer service, as it’s clear this restaurant has little to no regard for treating customers with basic decency. Save yourself the trouble and avoid this place.

We ate in this restaurant for the first time today, I chose Turkish cuisine, I thought so I can't do anything wrong, mistake, simply inedible, my husband took a cream schnitzel, the same disaster, once and never again.

We were there for brunch. Everything was very good. One flaw: Some dishes were not refilled even though the buffet was still available for 2 hours. A suggestion would be to simply make a smaller amount available at a later date so that you don't end up with too much left over. Another note: to make the food labels a little more recognizable.

Went there today and totally recommended. Very friendly staff and the food was very good and plentiful. The price was great and unbeatable. We had the pizza horn and a salad. As a starter, the two of us shared a portion of tzatziki. Another highlight: Because we said we would share everything, there were promptly additional plates for everyone. Top. The restaurant is well decorated and has a great atmosphere. There is a balcony outside where you can enjoy your food in the sun. We ordered currywurst with chips and lamb and pepper risotto. The restaurant will give everyone a free green salad. To be honest, the portion is so big that I can’t finish it all. After the meal, the cappuccino was average, not particularly good, but not bad either. It's very cost-effective and close to the school, so it's perfect for a quick lunch.

I was in this beautiful restaurant with my twin brother (he was visiting from Berlin) and my wife on April 27th, 2024, around 5:00 p.m. We got a place in the winter garden. Our waiter was extremely friendly, courteous and quick. It would be nice from the managing director to thank him and acknowledge him, to acknowledge him! The food was excellent! Overall I give it 5 stars plus ****++++++. We would like to come again !!

Large selection of dishes from pizza to Turkish specialties to rump steak, large portions, inexpensive, everything tasty and good. The selection of drinks is also impressive. The service was very friendly, attentive and quick. In a new winter garden you can sit dry even when the weather is not so summery. In summer there is a beautiful terrace. Conveniently located, lots of parking spaces right in front of the door. All in all very recommendable.

We enjoyed a great Sunday brunch. There was something for everybody. You couldn't try everything. Although it was very busy, the buffet was never ransacked. The service was top. Addition: Due to the great experiences on the first visit, we made another reservation for a large group. Unfortunately, we were not told when we made the reservation that the price had gone up significantly. With the new price, in my opinion it is no longer a recommendation. At least not as a location for private parties.

Ich war jetzt schon zweimal dort essen und vor allem das vegetarische Angebot hat mich gefreut. Leider ist das Essen allgemein sehr fettig. Das „Ayurveda aus dem Wok“ war kein asiatisches Gemüse in Kokoscurry, wie beschrieben, sondern einfaches Kaisergemüse aus der Tiefkühlung. Und ob es im Wok gemacht wurde, bezweifle ich ebenfalls. Das Gemüse war außerdem nicht ganz durch. Service nix auszusetzen und Ambiente auch nett.

Sehr leckeres Essen. Freundlicher Service. Gute Parkmöglichkeiten in der Nähe des Restaurants (kostenlos). Das Restaurant liegt auf einem sehr schönen Hügel neben dem Park und ist daher auch ideal für Kinder. Tagsüber gibt es keine großen Menschenmengen. Geräumiger Raum sowohl drinnen als auch draußen. Das Essen war lecker aber recht einfach. Der Service war sehr schnell aber mindestens genauso unfreundlich. Das Ambiente ist wunderschön.

Nettes Lokal in schöner, grüner Umgebung, halt außerhalb der City. Unser Essen war ok, aber das wars dann auch.

Toller Außenbereich, gutes Essen, zivile Preise

Essen hat Recht gut geschmeckt zu einem fairen Preis. Das Personal war freundlich aber hat dann doch Recht lange auf sich warten lassen. Wasser für 8,50€ fand ich viel zu überteuert. Ambiente war Recht nett aber an manchen Ecken hat man gesehen, das es doch schon gut abgenutzt war.

2x70 Jahre feiern war angesagt. Uns war das Lokal unbekannt, aber der Sonntagsbrunch hat uns echt umgehauen!!! Riesenauswahl, sehr abwechslungsreich, alles super lecker und das Auge war auch begeistert! Was will man mehr …… außer wiederkommen???

Tolles Frühstücksbuffet. Einzig etwas mehr Auswahl an Brötchen und Brot hätte mir noch gefehlt. Und eine Beschriftung der Speisen wäre super

Das Essen ist lecker, es ist für jeden! etwas dabei, das Personal ist sehr freundlich und natürlich (nicht aufgesetzt). Es ist jeder herzlich willkommen, ein bunt durchgemischtes Puplikum fällt auf. Hunde immer willkommen, auch innen. Wir gehen gerne hin, es ist so herrlich unkompliziert, lecker und es herrscht ein angenehmes Klima. Klare Empfehlung

Sehr gemütliches Restaurant. Könnte etwas heller sein. Viele Sitzplätze draußen und drinnen vorhanden. Essen gut und günstig. Personal sehr höflich und zuvorkommend. Parkplätze sind auch vor dem Restaurant vorhanden.

Den Brunch kann ich nur empfehlen. Manchmal wartet man etwas lange auf die Getränke.Zwei Service Kräfte für eine Menge Besucher. Da muß man etwas Geduld haben. Die Auswahl an Gerichten, Beilagen ist sehr groß. Sehr lecker.

Einmal im Monat gibt es dieses Büffet Sonntags, sehr zu empfehlen, inklusive Kaffee, Tee und O-Saft.

Das schnitzel war leider etwas "kross", aber war novh in ordnung. Allgemein zum Service muss ich sagen das darauf geachtet wird das die gesamte Gruppe zeitgleich das Essen bekommt. Ambiente ist ok, aber nichts besonderes.
