It's definitely worth it. Fast and spontaneous service. The food is very tasty. It's rather upscale, so pack a few extra bills in your wallet. But the food is worth it.

Good, affordable rooms, very friendly service in the restaurant, and a truly cozy, pleasant atmosphere. I'm particularly pleased that the menu includes many vegetarian and even some vegan dishes. Even today, that's rare for a 'homestyle' restaurant. However, it makes the Weender Hof extremely attractive for family celebrations or groups that include a vegan. Unfortunately, such restaurants are often out of the question because some members of the family or circle of friends can only eat side dishes. I think it's wonderful that the Weender Hof has kept up with the times and combined the cozy inn atmosphere and classic cuisine with innovation.

We have visited Mr. Hirschel and his team several times and are always 100% satisfied. From the reception to the rooms to the food, everything was perfect once again. The boss alone, with his wit, charm, professionalism, and always good humor, is a real gem and worth the trip. From the cleaning staff to the chef to the waiter, everyone is friendly and welcoming. Maja, with her breakfast buffet and her friendly manner, even puts a smile on the faces of grumpy mornings. We look forward to our next visit.

We had a wonderful meal, the service was great. Breakfast buffet was ok, unfortunately only bread rolls, so a star deduction from the room. We would still like to come back.

First of all I can't give a rating for the rooms. The food was amazing. Despite a small misunderstanding about the pre-order of the delicious goose meal, the waiter still managed to conjure up a platter for 5 people. Thanks also to the kitchen. Was only here to eat, not to stay overnight, so can't say anything about the rooms etc. The menu offers a variety of home-style dishes, so there should be something for everyone. Had the rump steak in pepper sauce with fried potatoes, which was very tasty and portioned in such a way that dessert, Creme Brullet, was also recommended. The waiter was very accommodating and always had a saying up his sleeve. Priced between average and upscale, in the sense of "everything is getting more expensive" but within the norm. Gladly again.

We come here for dinner at least once a year, but usually more often. From the service to the food, everything is 1 A. The menu is adapted to the season and leaves nothing to be desired. On that note, see you soon 🙂

The Weender Hof is THE address for home-style food in southern Lower Saxony. Tradition is very important here without sacrificing modern accents. A visit is an absolute must for anyone who values ​​excellent food and first-class service. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

Wir haben zwei Stunden vorher per Telefon zwei Zimmer mit Frühstück und das Abendessen gebucht. Dies ging sehr freundlich und unkompliziert, die Reservation auf der Gartenterrasse wurde uns angeboten, ohne dass wir danach gefragt haben. Sowohl das Essen wie auch der Service war grandios, Preis-Leistung super! Es war richtig schön, mal in einer persönlichen Gaststätte zu übernachten. Dass es dort ebenfalls ein feines Restaurant gab, war für uns als Durchreisende und Spätankommende perfekt. Wir können es nur empfehlen, es lohnt sich, booking mal auszulassen, dort findet man diesen Ort nämlich nicht

On the way back from Berlin we called about an hour in advance and reserved a table. This was then offered to us on the beautifully designed terrace. Mind you, Saturday evening! Thank you again for this! It's very quiet back there, protected too. Here the boss still works himself, which the guest takes note of favorably. Friendliness, attention and service to guests are the be-all and end-all here. We try to make everything possible and, above all, no guest is turned away. We can't say anything about the hotel, but the restaurant certainly filled us up and pleased our palate. An insider tip for us, on the outskirts of the city of Göttingen. Worth mentioning is the price of the bottle of water (€5.50) which is sufficient. Looking at other restaurants that charge more than 7 or 8 euros.

Das Essen lecker, nichts Besonderes, eher durchschnittlich. Der Fisch war leider paniert, die Soße übersichtlich, und für meinen Geschmack zu fettig. Die Online Speisekarte passte leider nicht mit der Karte im Restaurant überein. Was schade war, hatte mir schon was anderes ausgesucht. Positiv: es gibt vegetarisch und vegane Gerichte... Konnten draußen sitzen, drinnen roch es doch sehr nach Küche.

We go there for dinner at least once a year. It's always been good so far! Service is quick and attentive, even when the store is packed. There is also a small version of the dishes for children, although "small" is the wrong one as this portion is also enough for an adult. The selection is good and there is something for everyone. All dishes are tasty and sufficient. There are also offers for vegetarians. What struck me this time was that the prices remained really stable. This is of course very gratifying. I had a huge salad with salmon and trout for €14.50. I've seen a lot of salads in other restaurants lately that were half the size and even a few euros more expensive. Overall we have nothing to complain about.

Restaurant run with a lot of heart and, above all, had two really good waitresses for a long time! Two people who still really understand and practice their craft. EDIT May 2024: We have been to this restaurant for a long time and were very pleased with the menu. Lots of vegetarian dishes and even a proper selection of vegan dishes. Compliment! I decided on the duet of sweet potatoes and zucchini and can only recommend it. Therefore up from 4 to 5 stars :))

We stayed at Weender Hof for 2 nights. An absolute recommendation. The boss and all his employees are very warm and friendly. The rooms were absolutely fine, the breakfast had a great selection and the dinner was also very good.

In my review I'll focus on the food because we recently had a business lunch there: First of all, I was really impressed by the wide selection of dishes - there's definitely something for everyone! We were there with a group of six people and it only took 30 minutes for our food to be on the table, which is really quick. My dish and the dishes of my colleagues were very tasty and we all enjoyed them.

Excellent country style restaurant. Home-style cooking, fast, extremely friendly, charming and attentive service, fabulous food made from fresh ingredients. We are happy to accommodate special requests. Free private parking spaces.

A nice little house with nice people. Even as a Bavarian you can feel at home there after briefly overcoming the culture shock :) I personally found the room a bit too modern and cool, but that's a matter of taste. Unfortunately I was only able to spend a short night there, maybe I'll stay again to test out the rest.

This was my second time at Weender Hof and I can only say: Great!!! Good, clean rooms + bathrooms. The beds are great, breakfast has everything you need. Parking spaces are scarce in the evenings because the restaurant is full, but so far I've always been lucky to find space. I will definitely book here again on my next stay in Göttingen.

A very nice house, delicious food, it was also very comfortable, great value for money

My review relates exclusively to the visit to the restaurant. We were there with the entire family and unfortunately we didn't feel welcome at all: our purely vegetarian/vegan order was received with a strange reaction and comment from the waiter about "interesting order that you have in a German inn with German cuisine". . In my opinion, it is completely inappropriate for staff to comment on customers' orders from the menu in such a way and something like this has never happened to us before. On the contrary, most people react very openly and interestedly. For me, the waiter's explanation at the end of the meal (vegetarian/vegan dishes are rarely ordered) does not constitute an excuse for the behavior. It's a shame that the visit to the restaurant left such a bad taste in our mouths!

Extrem leckere, deutsche Küche. Super Servicekraft.

Alle Jahre wieder.... kommen wir nach langer Voranmeldung zum Gänseessen. Es war wie immer ohne jegliche Beanstandung, alles lecker und reichlich. Der Grün-und Rotkohl besonders gewürzt und zart, die Gans knusprig und ebenfalls innen zart, die Klöße handgemacht und die Vorsuppe lecker. Preis/Leistung im örtlichen Vergleich sehr gut und der Service höflich, prompt und witzig. Wir haben gleich für nächstes Jahr dieses Highlight wieder reserviert.

Mit 4 Personen kehrten wir im Weender Hof zum Ente essen ein. Das Jahr zuvor waren wir vom Gänseessen mit der gesamten Familie (13 Personen) noch schwer positiv beeindruckt. Und wir sollten wieder nicht enttäuscht werden: Trotz ausgebuchtem Restaurant und der damit verbundenen Stresssituation war das Personal sehr freundlich, der Chef hatte zudem immer einen lockeren lustigen Spruch auf Lager. Die Ente war hervorragend bzgl. Geschmack und auch Menge. Sowas von lecker, das hat uns sehr beeindruckt! Beilagen konnte man beliebig nachbestellen. Hier sind wir noch nie enttäuscht worden, hier gehen wir gerne wieder hin. Macht weiter so, vielen Dank!

Wer hier Essen geht, den erwartet eine gutbürgerliche Küche und eine vielfältige Auswahl. Das Essen war köstlich und der Service herausragend. Nur zu empfehlen!

Lieber Marc Hirschel & Team, wir waren am letzten Samstag Teil der geladenen Hochzeitsgesellschaft in Ihrem Weender Hof. Wenn Kochkunst auf perfekten Service trifft, gibt es absolut nichts zu kritisieren. Besser geht es nicht und das noch in diesen (w)irren Zeiten.

Wir hatten unseren 70. Geburtstag gefeiert mit einem super leckeren geschmackvollen Essen und ein perfektes sehr freundliches umsichtiges Servicepersonal. Ein herzliches Dankeschön an das gesamte Team. Es war eine rundum sorglose Feier für uns als Gastgeber

Ein herzliches Willkommen sieht anders aus. Ein kleiner Parkplatz fasst nicht mal ansatzweise ein Bruchteil der Kapazität des Restaurants. Dann hat man endlich einen Stellplatz für sein Fahrzeug gefunden und muss trotz Reservierung 10 min auf ein Tisch warten. Die Bedienung war anschließend recht nett und auch das Essen kam sehr zügig. Unsere Vorsuppe war nur lauwarm, hat allerdings trotzdem geschmeckt. Der Hauptgang war gut und keiner Beanstandung wert.

Verstehe nicht die guten Bewertungen, unser Essen war Note 3, der Service war nett, der Chef ist der unterhaltet und Sprücheklopfer, um mit 3 Geschäftspartner in Ruhe und Gemütlichkeit einen Abend zu verbringen….leider nein.!!!! Das positive wer es mag die Köche stehen auf dem Hof und rauchen und unterhalten sich sehr angeregt. Einen guten Tag wäre vielleicht ja nett gewesen.

Für eine Hochzeitsfeier im Nachbarort waren wir angereist. Die Reservierung im Vorfeld lief schon sehr entspannt und auch das frühe Einchecken um 11 Uhr war nach Absprache problemlos. Unser Zimmer war zweckmäßig eingerichtet und sauber. Schlafen konnten wir gut. Das Bad ganz neu mit schöner Dusche, was uns besonders gut gefallen hat. Alle Mitarbeiter freundlich, das Frühstück am nächsten Morgen hatte keine Sternequalität, aber es war alles da, um gut in den Tag zu starten. Der Chef, es wurde hier schon öfters erwähnt, ist mit Freude dabei und hat Humor. Alles in allem eine "sehr gut"-Bewertung.
