Excellent location, quiet place, run by a friendly and helpful family. The only downside: they have very high pillows; I had to sleep without one. Other things to note: rooms are accessible by stairs.

The Eiche is a small, family-run hotel located in a historic building. The rooms are functional and modern, featuring Wi-Fi, a TV, very comfortable beds, and a newly renovated bathroom. The cleanliness is top-notch. Breakfast is served at the table with a rich selection. This is complemented by a small buffet for individual muesli creations. The cuisine is highly recommended, offering German and regional dishes. It's delicious! The shady beer garden offers a perfect place to stay, especially in summer. The hotel's location, just a few minutes' walk from the train station and the town center, makes it a wonderful starting point for hikes and excursions in the Black Forest. The Eiche is definitely recommended.

We arrived after a strenuous leg of the Westweg and were looking forward to a delicious meal, but unfortunately, we had to take an additional rest day at the restaurant. The reception was a bit chilly. The room was nicely furnished but unfortunately uncomfortably warm, and the street was very noisy. The breakfast, however, was really good and sufficient for the rest of the journey.

Small, simple but super good. managed restaurant with hotel. Rooms not the newest but functionally equipped. with everything you need and super comfortable beds especially the pillows are world class. Price performance ratio first class. Would stay there again whenever I'm in the area.

Located on busy streets. Food is expensive but good, service mediocre.

Well suited for eating. The cordon bleu I had was the best thing I've eaten in a long time. The staff was friendly and unobtrusive. The outdoor ambience was spacious and easily accessible with a wheelchair. The only thing that was a bit disturbing was the railway line that runs directly above the location. Conclusion: Apart from the railway line, the inn is definitely recommended.

The food was average, the prices were above average. The service was not a friendly word. I'm used to different service. I then experienced good SERVICE in Alsace. You should also smile sometimes. I didn't stay overnight.

Spent one night while walking the Westweg, it is located directly on this walking route. Simple rooms with good beds. No refrigerator, minibar or kettle available. The floors of the rooms are carpeted. Our room had a (shared) balcony with chairs. The service is fine. Breakfast is sufficiently arranged. You will be served a basket of bread/bowl with cheese and meats at the table. There is a bakery within 100 meters with sandwiches for lunch.

Hotel restaurant along the Westweg. The room is normal, nice but not very large. Same for the bathroom. But everything is functional. The restaurant was closed on the day of my arrival due to a national holiday. The breakfast was not very varied and was served directly by them. Overall it's a good and convenient place for travel.

Modernly renovated old inn without any sense of local history. Everything is new and very clean right down to the corner. Room small but extremely functionally furnished. You can't hear the street or train when the window is closed. Breakfast plentiful. Open on the competition closing day. Fine dining. Last but not least: a very friendly host couple. So: recommendation for motor and bicycle tourists!

The seriousness of Primus is evident, call us and you will be convinced. I was interested in work but when I go on vacation this is definitely the perfect place for the price and quality

The rooms are really spotlessly clean, modern furnishings and the bathroom is also perfectly clean. No problems with the road and rail 200 meters away due to super insulation. Ideal for 1 or even several overnight stays!

Essen war sehr gut, die Bedienung war freundlich. Zu den Zimmern konnten wir nichts sagen, da wir nur dort gegessen haben.

Das Essen war Spitzenklasse. Qualität und Zubereitung in gehobener Klasse. Bedienung sehr freundlich und schnell. Da das Hotel an der Bahnstrecke liegt bekommt man das bei offenem Fenster zu hören. Ansonsten alles gut und auch leckeres Frühstück. Ich kann vor alles das Restaurant wärmstens empfehlen

Tolles Restaurant mit schönem Biergarten, essen ist einfach nur top. Bedienungen sind sehr freundlich. Wer tolle badische küche in einem nette Umfeld genießen möchte muss definitiv in diesem Gasthaus essen gehen!

Very clean and modern room, good bed, good breakfast, and location at the main street. Easy to access the hiking paths. Dogs are welcome. Not too expensive at all! And the "zwiebelnrostbraten" we had as a dinner was super good!

Sehr schönes modernes Haus (** superior, also quasi ***). Sehr schöner Gastraum und tolle Zimmer. Hier wurde im LockDown richtig viel Geld reingesteckt. Hier kann man blind buchen, essen und schlafen.

Die Zimmer kann ich nur von Fotos beurteilen, da ich nur in der Gaststätte war. Werde dort immer sehr zuvorkommend bedient. Gerne immer wieder.

Sehr nette und interessierte Wirtsleute, die gerne weiter helfen. Toll, dass beim Frühstück nicht alles schon da steht (und dann danach weg geschmissen wird), sondern auf Nachfrage und Wunsch gebracht wird.

Sehr schönes Haus mit frisch renovierten sehr gut aussgestattenen Zimmern. Frühstück ausreichend und gut. Einziger "Nachteil" das Haus liegt direkt an der Straße. Auf Grund der Hitze mußte das Fenster geöffnet bleiben und somit war der Verkehrslärm zu hören. Dies kann aber auch als einzige Einschränkung für die möglichen 5 Sterne gelten.

Die Servicekraft eher unfreundlich! Selbst nach mehrmaligem anlächeln, kam nur ein Kühler Blick zurück! Das Essen war ok, kennen aber viel besser einheimische Gasthäuser!

Tolles familiengeführtes Gasthaus. Die Gastgeber sind sehr zuvorkommend und das Frühstück war auch sehr reichlich mit guter Auswahl.

Leider wurden wir sehr unfreundlich empfangen. Vielleicht weil wir keine einheimischen waren. Das Essen war solala. Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis hat aus meiner Sicht bestenfalls bei einem Gericht gepasst. Würde ich nicht wieder machen.

Für eine Übernachtung + Frühstück als Verlängerung der Reise war das Hotel fantastisch: sehr moderne und hochwertige Räume, ebenso hochwertig und umfangreich war das Frühstück, das Personal war stets freundlich und hilfsbereit.
