Visited restaurant. Food really top notch! Very, very tasty (including snacks with a chef). Great service, very attentive! You'll be happy to go there again!

Were there for dinner, everything was good. Feel free to come by again.

We were registered for dinner with 10 people. The group was torn apart and divided into two tables. That wasn't so nice. The teenager was lightly whistled at by the waitress for not placing his feet where the waitress wanted. The napkins lay carelessly on the plates. Some of the food was lukewarm, the chicken schnitzel was very dry, and the accompanying salad was shoved under the meat in a carelessly rustic manner. The portions were a bit shrunken in some cases. That wasn't a nice experience. We cannot recommend this restaurant.

We stayed at the hotel for 11 nights in September. The ROOM did not meet our expectations. We booked a room on the 1st floor because of knee problems. Then we got a room on the 2nd floor. We didn't like the view of the narrow courtyard. The ROOM was very small and had some defects. It would be ok for one night, but not for a vacation stay. The food was very good.

We went there for dinner and really enjoyed it. Great menu, very tasty food, price performance OK, service was friendly, could perhaps be a little more attentive. Still a recommendation, great restaurant!

We had lunch there yesterday. It was totally perfect. Super tasty roast beef with crispy fried potatoes, salad. Very nice staff who want to work and know what guests want. We will eat there more often. Finally a nice guesthouse. I could only give the 5th star afterwards. The 5th star didn't work when it was distributed🤷‍♀️

2 days in the GUEST HOUSE Anno 1617......

My husband and I spent a weekend at Anno 1617. Even the booking was extremely nice, dogs weren't a problem as there are extra “dog rooms”. (The fee per dog is extremely cheap) When we arrived we arrived in a great old restaurant and were warmly welcomed. The building is around 400 years old, so you can't expect ultra-modern furnishings, straight floors or high ceilings, but the room was comfortably furnished (with mineral water and kettle, extra blanket and bowls for the dogs). The food in the restaurant was home-style and extremely tasty. We recommend the pan fish, the shish kebab with a great sauce and of course the herring. Because of the dogs, breakfast was set up for us in the dining room (very attentive, thank you). The buffet in the breakfast room was very well laid out and there was even herring on it. It was a very nice weekend, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful and I particularly liked one little thing (even if most people might overlook it): the toilets in the restaurant, like the rest of the house, are not modern but very clean and comfortable In the women's toilet there was a basket with hygiene products, next to it a hairbrush and various deodorants to “freshen up”. Very attentive. Thank you for the lovely stay with you

We were there for breakfast and dinner. Breakfast was of a good standard but dinner was really outstanding. The starter and main course were excellent. The service was also very good.

We booked the herring buffet with a group of 50 people. The reservation went very smoothly. Our request for the arrangement of the tables was implemented well. The quality, the diverse selection of matjes variations and the side dishes was very good. Without exception, all guests enjoyed the food very much... and the service was also very good. We would love to come back... I can also highly recommend the restaurant for groups.

Unfortunately I can only rate the restaurant. I've been there several times at lunchtime and have never been disappointed. The service is friendly and the restaurant is centrally located on the market square. The food was always delicious, I can generally recommend the fried salmon, for example with a pasta dish (as you can see in the photo), I think this is a highlight in terms of taste. The ambience is also very inviting, charming and cozy. I would definitely recommend eating there on a trip to Glückstadt. The prices are also reasonable for what you get.

We were in the restaurant. The service was ok but you should take your time. It's a nice restaurant, the food is delicious and the prices are ok. When the weather is nice you can also sit outside and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

Were here for dinner. Even without a reservation there was a table for us despite Friday evening. The service was very attentive and friendly. I can unreservedly recommend the Matjes Hausfrauenart. My request for more sauce was honored without charging extra.

The steak doesn't belong on the cold salad! The fries come in a bowl. Better the other way around! But prices are good expensive. Not a big selection.

Good morning Today I wanted to go out for dinner with my wife and ended up at the Hotel Anno 1617. We are extremely disappointed. After just 30 minutes a waiter finally came. We then waited another 15 minutes for our drinks. We then left because otherwise we would probably have died of hunger that evening.

I was for business a 2 night in Gluckstadt and the company booked me this Hotel. Very friendly personnel. Located in the center of the town. Parking is sufficient. You can park free from 6 PM tile 9 AM next day.. Room was very warm, no Aircon and the bathroom was small and flushing of the toilet was poor... But all was clean. I did have some dinner at the restaurant. Food was okay. First evening i had some feuersteak But it was flooded with sauce (way too much) and the side salad was very wet, making the whole dish one soaking chicken.... Next day i had pfifferlingen (mushrooms) this dinner was okay... salad , omelet and a dessert.. For 2 days/nights okay, but for me no much longer.

Das Zimmer war schmutzig und hat nach Kloake gerochen. Das Bad war schimmelig, die Abluft verstaubt und nicht funktional. Die Matratzen im Bett waren 20cm kürzer als der Bettkasten. Der Fernseher hat nur 3 Programme empfangen. Die Kopfkissen waren eine Zumutung. Wir haben im Nebenhaus geschlafen und 100€ pro Nacht bezahlt. Absolut unangemessen.

I travel and sleep in a variety of hotels, but this hotel was very special, to put it simply. The employees were irritated at every little thing, and real politeness was out of place. The crowning glory, however, was the room. I had a double room for single occupancy. My steel frame bed was as big as the entire room. The frame was completely demolished. On the right side of the bed there was just 10 cm of space to somehow get from the bed to the bathroom. However, I wonder how an older couple is supposed to get in and out of this bed. That's why the frame in question was so destroyed because people climbed over it. The rest of the room looked like a post-war hospital room. The bed sheet upside down as if it had been used before. Likewise the shower in the bathroom, disgusting. The rubber seals are probably decades old. I've already survived one night, but please not again! This morning I spoke to the staff. I was told that you don't look at the rooms every day and that you don't even know what they look like. More of a protective claim. You should already know how the rooms in your own hotel are equipped. They are cleaned every day, aren't they? They tried to calm me down with a bottle of champagne. Well, that wasn't my intention! Attached some pictures. Glückstadt is a beautiful little town, but I definitely don't recommend this hotel.

Today the five of us enjoyed a wonderful lunch that we ordered in advance. Beef fillet with pepper sauce, broccoli, beans, fried potatoes and French fries was served. The meat is super tender, fried to perfection, the sauce is a delight and the vegetables are also cooked to perfection. As expected, the food left nothing to be desired and the desire and the result were 100% the same. The service was courteous, attentive despite being busy and always friendly and polite... All 5 of us were completely thrilled and can only say: thumbs up, absolutely recommended and, as always, a highlight! We would like to mention at this point that the price-performance ratio was also absolutely justified. A huge compliment to the Püster family and the entire Anno 1617 team

Unfriendly staff, it was not possible to take food with you, when I asked if there was a senior section it was answered in the negative, according to the menu it was possible. Constructive feedback was met with a rude response: “then just eat an appetizer”…

Matjes with fried potatoes with housewife sauce was very tasty! I can highly recommend it!

Was looking for a hotel on the way home through Europe. Found this cozy beautiful hotel in the middle of the small town. Fantastic room, friendly staff and very good food and nice breakfast

We have been regular guests at Anno for 3 years and are always enthusiastic about the preparation of the food. The daily specials in particular always impress with their consistently good quality. Whether it's John Dory, plaice, steak or the homemade porcini mushroom ravioli, the dishes are always prepared to perfection and incredibly tasty. Eating at Anno is always a pleasure and a pleasure with a good price-performance ratio. We are already looking forward to the next visit and to the team that puts their heart and soul into it.

Unfriendly reception after initial ignorance. The room was quaint and the bathroom could have been a little cleaner. Recommended for cyclists as there are no bike stands. Positive: Ear plug dispenser in front of the room, nice breakfast room, central location Conclusion: one or the other could work on communication with the guests, I personally wouldn't book again

We were in the restaurant for the first time today. It is absolutely recommended. There is a varied menu with interesting dishes. We had the devil's steak, the shish kebab, the goat's cheese gratin and the fox soup. So delicious. The service was great and attentive. We will come back. Thank you

The review refers only to the restaurant. The following were ordered for three people with different appetites: Currywurst with fries, herring tartare, 1 piece of apple pie. Ordering came relatively quickly, but it took a while for the food to arrive. But the waiting time wasn't disproportionate. Currywurst was nothing special, the price/performance ratio was not appropriate. Matje tartare slightly above average. Apple pie was tasty, but you can't go wrong with it. Service fluctuated between relatively friendly and annoyed. When a man sat down at a table next door that hadn't yet been cleared, the waitress made a comment that wasn't very polite. Menus that just paste over the prices don't look very professional. This was the case here. All in all, perhaps a bit too expensive for what is on offer.

We had a super delicious meal and then went for a walk. I think the location is really great and I would love to come by any time I'm in the area again!!!

A very interesting hotel. You shouldn't come here with the classic expectations of a new building - you might feel like you're drunk because of the uneven floor, but everything is harmonious, fits together well and is certainly historically valuable. The employees are very helpful and friendly, the breakfast is rather simple but tasty. The rooms are clean and functional. Only the shower didn't really want to give out anything other than boiling or ice-cold water. I would still like to come back.

We were kindly received and the room nice and clean, good location. Super good morning buffet. We would have liked to have eaten in the restaurant, which serves some fine food, but unfortunately it was not possible due to a closed party etc. We will come again.

My report refers exclusively to the restaurant. Reservation hassle-free. There were a lot of new (inexperienced?) employees, except for the confident waiter, who I've seen several times before. 0.4 l of Jever now costs over €4.50, which corresponds to a liter price of over €9, so you resist buying a second one and prefer to quench your thirst at home. A burger with fries now costs around €19. A tiny bowl of fries that I could easily clean up means not enough. Prices on the menu did not match those on the invoice. It was pointed out that dishes with poultry instead of pork are €2 more expensive. As a responsible buyer, I can't understand this. Based on a 200 g portion, it would be €10 per kg more. I can't understand. I'll eat out much less now, so that's okay with the price increases. But for me it is questionable whether this will help the catering industry in the long term. Less is usually more. Sitting on the benches is very cramped and uncomfortable. So overall I have to deduct 2 stars.

Location: great! Rooms furnished with a lot of style and attention to detail. What I really appreciate: coffee, tea, kettle. But the highlight: feeding bowls and blanket for the furry friend. Plus dog food! Highly recommended!

Es war ein sehr schönes, gemütliches und festlich geschmücktes Ambiente im Restaurant. Wir waren dort am 2. Weihnachtsfeiertag essen und es hat wunderbar geschmeckt. Und auch der Service war zur vollsten Zufriedenheit.

Wir sind heute, ganz spontan, im Restaurant eingekehrt und haben direkt einen Tisch bekommen. Da Weihnachten ist, haben wir uns für das Wild Gericht entschieden. Es war nicht nur eine große Portion, es war auch alles sehr frisch und sehr lecker. Das Service Personal war nicht nur sehr aufmerksam, sondern auch sehr freundlich. Vielen Dank. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Das einzige, was am Standort zu bemängeln ist, die fehlenden parkplätze. Super Frühstück, freundliche Bedienung. Und, das Alter der Gemäuer sind schön.

Wir wurden hier beim Essen noch nie enttäuscht. Gute überwiegend Norddeutsche Küche zu angemessenen Preisen. Das Personal ist immer nett und freundlich. Zu den Zimmern kann ich leider nichts sagen.

Zum 50.Geburtstag meines Mannes hatten wir einen Tisch bestellt. Sehr schick dekoriert. Das Essen war mega lecker. Es gab Geschnetzeltes mit Kroketten und Salat, sowie Pannfisch mit Bratkartoffeln. Sehr freundliches Personal. Preis Leistung stimmt. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Gemütliches historisches Haus mit viel Charme und Behaglichkeit. Sehr gutes Essen, super Frühstück, ausgesprochen freundlicher Service, abends wie morgens. Da historisches Gebäude enge steile Treppe zu Themenzimmern. Insgesamt ein schöner Ort, an dem man sich gerne aufhält, zumal fussläufig am Marktplatz gelegen alles erreichbar. Für Raucher ein überdachter Innenhof, für Neugierige vor dem Hotel Sitzgelegenheiten. Alles in allem: unbedingt zu empfehlen!

Auch diesen Ort habe ich schon bewertet und das sehr positiv.

Ein Traum !! The vintage decoration brings a special atmosphere which makes you bring to the past century ! The matjes are absolutely delicious and the wine is amazing ! Alles alles gute an der Familie und long life for that great hotel 1617!!! I will definitely come back !

Wir waren hier auf eine Kaffetrinken. Leckere Kuchen und Kaffee. Die Stühle sind sehr bequem und auch der Platz war ausreichend. Die Toiletten waren durchweg sauber und der Service sehr aufmerksam. Die Lage des Anno ist sehr zentrale am Marktplatz in der Innenstadt von Glückstadt gelegen. Bei einer früheren Übernachtung (2020) waren die Zimmer sauber und gepflegt, sowie dem Jahre des Hauses nach authentisch eingerichtet.

Wir waren Kaffee trinken im Restaurant, wurden leider in die letzte Ecke gesetzt zum Innenhof obwohl das Restaurant leer war. Die tür zum innenhof stand permanent offen und es roch stark nach Zigarette ein absolutes nogo sollte man ändern. Der Kuchen war ok nur der Kaffee war leider zu stark. Das Restaurant ist schon ein wenig angestaubt, und recht überladen mit klimbim (Flaschenverpackungen) ect das sollte man vielleicht mal überdenken. Der Service war ok, nur man kam sich ein wenig vor wie auf einem Bahnhof, permanent lief der service und irgendwelche personen von der Bar in die Küche mit Bier 🍺 und Gläsern was schon ein wenig störte. Alles in allem ok aber ausbaufähig.

Waren dort gestern im Restaurant zum Essen. Nachdem unsere Reservierung geklärt war, wurden wir zum Tisch geführt. Es ist gewünscht die Jacken an der Garderobe aufzuhängen. Die Bedienung ist sehr freundlich und hat schnell die Getränke aufgenommen. Kurz darauf haben wir das Essen bestellt. Das Essen wurde zeitgemäß schnell an den Tisch gebracht und die Portionen sind sehr groß. Geschmacklich ist das Ganze sehr lecker und man kann nichts bemängeln. Alles in allem ein sehr schöner Besuch, welchem ich jedem empfehlen kann. Preis /Leistung stimmt bei dem Essen auch überein und ist fair.

Abendessen sehr lecker mit gutem und netten Service. Das Ambiente ist klasse und das Wetter hat uns ebenso positiv gestimmt.

Schade, dass das Einchecken etwas kühl abgelaufen ist. Zimmer klein aber alles ok. Leider nur ein Bett mit 1,40m Breite. Das Bad ist groß genug. Wir waren im Gästehaus untergebracht. Das ist sehr hellhörig. Nett ist allerdings, dass im Flur schon ein Spender mit Ohropax hängt, an dem man sich selbst bedienen kann. Frühstück ist ok gewesen.

Mooi terras op het oude marktplein. We zaten op een romantische oude tweepersoons ' strandstoel' midden tussen de hortensia s. Heel sfeervol. Eten was oke, vissoep was lekker, schnitzel smakeloos. Personeel had het te druk. Onze serveerster kon het allemaal net bijbenen, maar was erg kortaf en er kon geen glimlach meer af......

Lag es daran das Kinder dabei waren und diese auch noch mit einer Dunklen Hausfarbe versehen sind? Ist es heute noch möglich das wegen schlechter behandelte zu werden? Eine Frau am Nachbartisch sagte so dass wir es verstehen konnten: Warum gehen die hierher sollen sie doch nach Afrika essen gehen! Die Kinder sind hier in Schleswig Holstein geboren , haben deutsche Eltern ! Ist es wirklich noch 1944? Die Besitzer schritten nicht ein obwohl ich mich (Oma weiß) mich beschwerte! Nie wider
