The view is a dream. Restaurant a disaster, staff very, very unfriendly. Carpaccio is served without bread and children's menu is not on the menu!!!! There are differences, regular customers get pasta with fresh shrimps and tourists get exactly 2 fresh shrimps, the rest cocktail shrimps from the freezer, at the same price!!!! Bruschetta was just drizzled with some tomatoes and olive oil. They don't ask, do you need anything? Would you like something else to drink? Nothing like it!!! I have never experienced anything so unfriendly and rude, unfriendly to children. This shop reflects none of the warm Italian passion that we actually know from Italy.

The food was great, but also our waiter Rene, he has been working here for years, last time on our holiday he was there for us, he recognized us with so many tourists and yes again great service and the food tasted good again, not an extensive menu but whatever. they make tastes

It couldn't be more central in Saarburg - and yet you can still get really good food here at fair prices. The antipasti are particularly recommended; very varied and generously put together; You will then be over-saturated with the main course. Professional, fast service, friendly staff.

Good hotel, However in the morning their were 2 ladies for servicing the breakfast. Both of them were very very unfriendly because we were arriving at 7h55 while the breakfast opens at 8h! All the rest of the staff were very friendly.

This place has nice terrace located just next to the river. It's amazing when it's sunny. Like scene out of a movie. Interior is also nice. Food is mid. Pizza is OK and Salad is OK. For me this place is best for drinks and coffee, eventually quick breakfast of croissant and coffee.

Normally I always look at the reviews before I eat somewhere. But the smell and tasty looking pizza attracted us to this cozy terrace. Now that I read the reviews, I would never have sat there, but we had a delicious meal and the service was friendly. We had a pasta Bolognese and a pizza parma. Pizza was delicious and tasty, nice thin base and well topped! The pasta, on the other hand, was a bit less, was good to eat but did not seem completely fresh. Staff was very friendly to us and location is great!

We arrived in a party of 3 without a reservation and were served fast and friendly. The pizzas were exactly how I prefer them: soft but thin dough, rich topping, but not too greasy. I loved it! Sitting outside we could hear the waterfall.

We were greeted with grumpy pointing to the table in the far corner, even though there was plenty free. There were crumbs and crusts under the table from the previous person, which our dog unfortunately took a closer look at. The juice spritzers came in a beer glass, with the contents spilling over and sticky handles. No sorry for that. I know otherwise. The actually simple dish “Tagliatelle with mushrooms in cream sauce” was simply a tragedy. Carelessly sliced ​​mushrooms in ready-made sauce. The granules were not completely dissolved. Just a shame, for €14.50. And what were the watery tomato pieces doing in there? Cherry tomatoes maybe, but that was nothing. Oh yes, and you only had a spoonful of pasta after you got up and walked to the counter. The two pizzas we ordered were terrible. The tuna on the tonno tasted very strong. When asked, we were assured that everything was VERY fresh. It tastes different in my house when it's fresh. The Parmer & Ruccola pizza was impossible to tame with the knife. The ham was way too thick and not edible. Was collected down and not consumed. Other guests were told at the table when they didn't want to order food but wanted coffee and tiramisu that the iced coffee was next door. In a tone that makes your ears flap. Unfriendly high three.

Very centrally located! Friendly staff! Unfortunately there are no dedicated parking spaces, but there is a parking lot 300 meters away where you can park for 2.50 euros/day.

Nice pizzeria right on the river. It's nice to sit outside and there are lots of shady places. Very old-fashioned inside and little space/cramped. Tagliatelle with chanterelles and pizza diavola were very good. In our opinion, the salad was too small for the asking price of €9.50.

this is the worst service. first they didn't want to seat us at the table we chose, then they brought us ice cream before the main course. the waiter showed an unpleasant attitude with his whole appearance

Hi guys. The first thing we heard from the waiter was eat or drink. No hello. We just ordered something to drink. The waiter who brought us the beer could hardly speak German. He didn't know what we were talking about either had a beer (Radler, freshly tapped). They treated everyone like that, which was a shame. We stuck with our drinks and went to eat somewhere else. I wouldn't go there again.

What an arrogant waiter that served us and had to receive the money on the terrace. As you can read in other comments, walk past this as quickly as possible. This is also the reason why there was still so much space on their terrace compared to other terraces.

Location is great but service not. It took a while to get our drink order. The waiter brought the wrong (small) drinks for the second round, but tried to charge us for large drinks. Just a bit rubbish and unlike other much better experiences in other places.

Had a drink on the terrace. Second drink never came. We had to wait so long for it that we didn't even want to eat it. When trying to pay, a grumpy reference was made to a colleague who may have reacted even grumpier. We wanted to check the bill to see if the drinks we had not received were also not charged. With many sighs and a sour face, the employee collected the receipt. When paying, the employee asked for a tip! Yes bye! No friendly word or face and then don't expect a tip either. What bad food here schnitzel very dry and thin. Spaghetti bologniase should not be eaten, it is too salty and comes straight from a jar. The waiter doesn't know what to laugh about, I think they are too busy for that. I can't recommend eating on the other side of the water.

We were sold a bottle of wine about 3/4 hour before the restaurant closed and then very rudely urged to finally finish it. Kellner complained that he had been working all day. Maybe he should discuss it with his boss and not with the customers

Stopped here for some food. Smooth operation. First ordered some drinks and then 3 pizzas and a pasta dish. Different nationalities work together and they have a lot of fun together. We have been traveling in Saarland/Rhineland for a week and have never experienced such great, balanced and courteous service anywhere. We are traveling with children. The first thing we noticed was that the child himself was asked about his wishes. Then the apple spritzer would not be served clumsily in a large glass as usual, but rather a small, handy glass and a wine carafe would be used so that the child can then pour themselves more. The third thing we would like to emphasize is that although there is no children's menu, the spaghetti bolo that was ordered for the child was automatically brought as a children's portion. We were expecting a large portion and were very relieved that it was smaller. The waiter was always very friendly while serving you and took the time to listen to the child. The food also tasted very good. The ingredients are selected and coordinated with each other. The icing on the cake is that you have a wonderful view here. We can highly recommend it.

Never experienced such bad service. Hygiene regulations are not taken seriously. Waiters were just annoyed. We had to wait 20 minutes just for the bill. The guests are sorted - those who eat something are allowed to sit at a table on the water side, those who only drink something are seated at a table against the wall of the house.

Cozy restaurant at the famous waterfall. Fast and friendly service and delicious food with fresh quality ingredients. Recommended: tuna pizza fresh from the brick oven and the pasta scampi where the ratio of pasta and scampi was perfect. Small ones, size, always a nice texture with every bite you take. No rip off here! Price quality is fantastic

Unfortunately, we had a very bad experience today on our trip to Saarburg. The one star for the food is only because the starter was basically OK. My wife's main course, gnocchi with green asparagus in cream sauce, was a revelation (stuffy/listless). My main course was supposed to be an asparagus cordon bleu. This dish had nothing in common with its namesake and the asparagus was also... "spoiled"... a normal case for the WKD. The service staff tried hard and probably did their best, the space on the terrace was nice. Best wishes from guests who will definitely never come back.

In the restaurant we enjoyed a wonderfully juicy ham pizza, refined with extra garlic, as well as a tasty Parma pizza, which we both really enjoyed. The service was friendly and attentive, and our needs as a family were particularly courteous: a high chair was provided for us and enough space was made for the stroller. The idyllic location rounded off our culinary experience perfectly. We look forward to our next visit to enjoy these delicious pizzas again.

Lovely spot near the waterfall to grab lunch/dinner and drinks! The restaurant has a small menu, but the food was great. A lot of restaurants in town have strange hours and close in between lunch and dinner so it was nice to find a place that was open in between the lunch and dinner hours. We will definitely be back the next time we are in town!

I've been going there for years whenever I'm on vacation in Saarburg. I have always been well served and received the servers are multi-lingual. The dishes are careful and good, everything is fresh. The pastries and ice creams from the store next door (actually it's the same house) are to die for If you pass through Saarburg without having an ice cream, a pastry or eating in this restaurant, you have missed your visit to this city

We really liked it here, the location in the center of the old town right next to the reservoir. Although it was chilly outside, the restaurant offers blankets outside. Here we tried the apple strudel, it was excellent: the combination of hot pie and ice cream is the best you can think of. We also ordered a pizza, the waiter served the pizza on two separate plates without even asking, very attentively. Thank you very much, we will come again next time in Saarburg.

Rarely have we had such a bad meal as in this pizzeria. Service very unfriendly. Tomato soup was like pureed tomatoes from a tetrapak, pizza was tasteless and tagliatelle looked and tasted like a finished product. Never again!!

He left without saying a word... after a long wait, he brought me this half-eaten pizza to the table with an extra slice on top, laughed and said the pizza had increased. What's the point of this stupid statement? I was shaking with anger, But I held back... (my little son was there)! I called him again and asked if they were kidding me, she was bitten... He just said back loudly that it definitely wasn't bitten. But you can see that this pizza was put together...and definitely eaten!! Unfortunately, I was so shocked at the moment that I didn't think about calling the boss to the table... When we paid my friend for his pizza (which was OK) and our drinks, he seriously said that he took the pizza out.. That's probably a joke & nothing more than true. I definitely wouldn't have paid for it, that's all I said. I haven't really heard a sorry or anything like that!! And there are no answers to many of the reviews here either.... Why? Wir hatten einen super schönen Aufenthalt. Wir haben unsere Hochzeit im Hotel gefeiert und sind überwältigt davon, wie das ganze Team sich um uns bemüht hat. Es hat an nichts gefehlt und die Herzlichkeit hat uns eine wunderschöne Hochzeitsfeier beschert. Tausend Dank nochmals für das Engagement. Wir kommen sicher wieder.

Wir haben hier mit 23 Leuten gegessen. Das Essen im allgemeinen ist sehr schwach gewürzt. Zubereitung der Speisen schien eher lieblos und für den Durchlauftourismus konzipiert. Ich hatte zum Nachtisch Apfelstrudel mit Vanilleeis und Vanillesauce... die erste servierte Portion war zäh und nahezu ungenießbar. Nach einer Reklamation wurde ein neues Stück gebracht der Kuchen machte sehr den Eindruck nach Mikrowelle. Das Eis war gut. Im allgemeinen Recht teuer. Nicht empfehlenswert trotz netter Bedienung.

Ich war mit meinem Kumpel über Wochende da und kann nur sagen TOLL Vom Einchecken bis zum Auschecken eifach alles rundum Perfekt

Waren an einem Regentag hier zum Essen, sehr gute Pizza, freundliche und herzliche Bedienung, waren sehr zufrieden!

De bediening was ronduit belabberd. Eerst werd er minachtend gereageerd toen mijn vriendin een normaal formaat biertje bestelde in plaats van een grote. Daarna werd de pasta van mijn vriendin een goede 20 minuten eerder opgediend dan de pizza die ik had besteld. Toen we daar iets over zeiden reageerde de ober alleen door te zeggen dat het niet zijn verantwoordelijkheid was en liep daarna midden in het gesprek weg. Het eten was verder wel oke, maar niks bijzonders. Wat mij betreft in een grote boog omheen lopen, hoe mooi de locatie ook is.

Voorgerecht ging goed . Daarna 2 van de 4 hoofdgerechten gekregen . De 2 anderen kwamen een uur later . Gezellig met z’n vieren uit eten . Geen excuus jammer

Pizza mit doppelt Käse bestellt. Dann Wartezeit, dann kam die komplett falsche Pizza. Danach bekam ich eine Pizza mit doppelt Käse, der nur in der Mitte der Pizza plaziert war! Wenig Entschuldigung, schlechter Service. Das kannte ich in der Vergangenheit anders. Hatten vlt. einen schlechten Tag erwischt.

Doe het niet. Ga hier niets bestellen. Ik had een caprese als voorgerecht. Deze smaakte nergens naar. De mozzarella was uit blik of zo en alles werd geserveerd op een een bedje van sla ipv basilicum en pesto. Totaal smakeloos. Mijn vrouw wilde een minestrone soep. Ook deze kwam rechtstreeks uit blik. Slappe groentes en kleffe aardappelen in de soep. Daarna allebei een pizza. Heel zout en verder weinig smaak. Slechte ingredienten gekozen die ook niet bij deze pizza's passen. Het was ook allemaal geen werelds bedrag maar toch. Echte italiaanse passie zat er niet in verwerkt. De bediening deed er alles aan om de slechte gerechten naar de achtergrond te werken en deze meneer maakte er in ieder geval een feestje van. Wel heel wijs om niet te vragen of het allemaal gesmaakt heeft. Kennelijk was dat vragen naar de bekende weg. De plek van het restaurant is wel fantastisch trouwens.

Saai, niks wat eruitspringt of echt lekker was. Bediening en eten gewoon ok. Heb gegeten, dat vult en dat was het ook.

Kam nach 3 Uhr und bekam trotz geschlossener Küche eine gute Pizza. Sehr freundlicher Service und schönes Ambiente.

Service was a little slow, with not a lot of customers. Also seafood pizza was bad, the seafood was not cleaned. We found squid teeth in the pizza. They did not apologize or reimbursed us at all even though we talked to the service. Other dishes were okay, a little overpriced for the value.

Essen war sehr lecker. Service lässt leider zu wünschen übrig. Waren gegen 17 Uhr auf einen Mittwoch hier und wollten zuerst nur was trinken, wofür der erste Kellner uns einen Tisch zuweisen wollte, was der zweite Kellner mit "ab 17 Uhr nur essen" aber gegensteuern wollte, obwohl zum kompletten Zeitpunkt unseres Aufenthaltes genügend Tische leer geblieben sind. Zudem wurde uns nur geringe Aufmerksamkeit geschenkt. Die erste Getränkebestellung hat 20min auf sich warten lassen. Die Essensbestellung konnten wir erst aufgeben, nachdem wir uns mit Handzeichen bemerkbar gemacht haben. Den Espresso, den wir gerne nach dem Essen zu uns nehmen, werden wir woanders trinken. Auf die Rechnung haben wir dann auch entsprechend warten müssen, aufmerksame Kellner sehen anders aus. Daher null Trinkgeld bei dem für uns negativen Service. Essen top, Service stark verbesserungswürdig...Unsere Kritik bei der Bezahlung wurde dann auch nicht angenommen Sorry

Sehr empfehlenswert. Eine gute Pizzaria misst sich an Klassikern, wie der Margherita. Wir haben gleich zwei bestellt. Beide bestückt mit einer leckeren Tomatensoße, der passenden Menge Käse und einem Boden der sich verneigt. Der Teig war nicht mehlig o.Ä., er war zart und ergänzte den restlichen Belag perfekt. Das Ambiente am Wasserfall ist traumhaft. Die Mitarbeiter sind sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis war auch super: Für zwei Pizzen Margherita und zwei Cola bezahlten wir 25 Euro. Gerne wieder! PS: Empfehlenswert für Dates 😉

Een restaurant bij de waterval. Een hele mooie plek, ik kan niet anders zeggen. Mijn vrouw en ik hadden een schnitzel besteld. Deze was echt slecht en niet lekker. Volgens mij gewoon een uit de vriezer. Geen kwaliteit. De kinderen hadden een pizza. Die was heel erg lekker. Al met al een teleurstelling.

Lekker lokaal bier met pizza als biersnack erbij. zeer vriendelijk personeel tot in de puntjes verzorgd. Prijs peil normaal pizza was erg lekker maar kan door het bier komen 😄

Die Pizza war OK. Die Tomatensuppe war sehr salzig. Der Latte macchiato war mehr Milch als Kaffee. Die Cola, war wohl keine „echte“ und nur im Offenausschank. Wir wurden freundlich bedient, hatten aber ständig das Gefühl das alles gespielt wurde. Bereits beim betreten des Restaurants haben wir schon die ersten komischen Blicke bekommen. Einen zweiten Besuch wird es von uns vier wohl nicht mehr geben.

Der Einrichtungsstihl des Restaurants und des allgemeinen Teils des Hotels ist elegant und sehr gelungen. Unser Zimmer war allerdings etwas beengter, als die im Prospekt dargestellten (Der Kamin führte durch das Zimmer.). Das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis ist allerdings, besonders wenn man mit Frühstück bucht, recht hoch. Die Küche des Restaurants ist gut und im Service sind professionelle und freundliche Kellner tätig. Zum Parkplatz musste man zwar ein paar Minuten gehen, aber dafür liegt das Hotel sehr schön im Innenstadtbereich.
