Hotel Almwirt in Haar

A rather quaint location with friendly service staff... unfortunately, the music was much too loud.

The rooms are modern and beautiful. The cleanliness is also excellent. However, the après-ski party kept us awake. Loud party music played well past midnight. We definitely wouldn't stay here again on weekends.

Everything was perfect. Room and restaurant service were good, and Tom's breakfast service deserves special mention. We'd love to come back.

This was our second visit, and it was wonderful again. The food was excellent. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The service was superb. The rooms were clean. We'll definitely be back!

We had a business dinner at Almwirt for 50 people last week (November, 205). It was a pleasure working with such a professional and friendly team, especially Luis, who was our primary contact. Even though the dinner was pretty formal, the people really enjoyed relaxed Bavarian atmosphere, amazing food, good quality drinks and a little experience of beer barrel opening. Thank you for your professional and nice service!

Good evening everyone, I went there for dinner and was really looking forward to the advertised beer served in a wooden barrel. Unfortunately, I discovered it was beer from a metal keg, which was being sold at an exorbitant price of €7 as "wooden barrel beer." Very disappointing and simply a rip-off.

The room was very nice and clean.

Modern rooms. Cozy atmosphere in bar/restaurant. Good beers, dinner and breakfast. Very friendly staff. Within walking distance from S-Bahn and EPO BoA. Recommended!

We had dinner for 5 people. Service was fast, food was delicious and portions were big. Paid with car, park our cars.on the street.

Excessive value for money. It's impossible to eat in peace, as the football is being broadcast on TV and a screen. It's a shame, otherwise it would be a quaint restaurant with friendly staff.

We were overcharged for drinks. We pointed this out to the staff, and then we were threatened with the police. To avoid any hassle, we paid the bill. Afterward, we were banned from the premises. It's a shame, as we've enjoyed our time here for years, but after this experience, we won't be coming back.

I ate there once, and it felt like you were in a mountain hut in Austria. The food was good and tasty.

It is a rustic hotel located on the outskirts of Haar, just off the road from where you can make different excursions. It is also relatively close to the train. This location makes it easy to plan trips to Munich, or other places, but in return you will notice some noise. The food at breakfast and the restaurant are very good.

Second time here. Augustiner from a wooden barrel and a monster rump steak with rösti and a fantastic pepper cream sauce. That's how you win over passionate Gen X hobby cooks. We'd love to come back ☺️

Essentially a 5-star hotel: clean rooms, friendly staff, and a quaint inn. The only drawback: the room window is open, making it noisy from the street. Closed, making it hot in August. I'll be back anyway...

A rustically furnished restaurant serving typical Bavarian cuisine. We've been here several times, and no matter what we ordered, it was always delicious and plentiful. We'd be happy to return anytime.

A wonderful Bavarian restaurant with a great atmosphere, friendly service, and delicious food. The tasty Augustiner beer on tap is also fantastic. Highly recommended. Excellent room and host can’t fault the place

The food is excellent, and despite the full house, there's hardly any waiting time. The staff is friendly and accommodating. I had a quiet night's stay and a great room. Nothing to complain about at all!

We've been here several times and have always been very satisfied. 👍 Very cozy, cabin-like atmosphere inside. The weatherproof terrace is also lovely, albeit with some noise from the Wasserburger Landstraße. The food tastes fantastic and is always lovingly prepared. We can't rate the rooms as we've never stayed here. We live too close. 😂 Super friendly staff. They always accommodate children's requests. 🫶 Please keep it up! 🙏🏻

We were at the Almwirt with a funeral party. The service was exceptionally good from the start. I received excellent advice on the phone regarding the menu, and the service at the Almwirt from the very attentive and friendly Martina was truly excellent.

They serve good Bavarian food. The portions are good. The price/performance ratio is very good. And most importantly, there's finally enough gravy on the roast pork. They also have a nice beer garden. It's always good to reserve a spot in the summer. Parking is sometimes a bit difficult, and the waiter (with glasses) is okay. A bit more Bavarian friendliness would have been nicer.

Booked a table, waited 30 minutes, ordered the wrong food, got the wrong one, didn't taste good, and was charged for what I ordered, even though the food served was cheaper. ... I have to say something about their response. The way they responded to my review alone shows me that this restaurant has run out of room for improvement. As if we hadn't complained, because the fact that you can't read minds is obvious in this restaurant. A big minus before the one star 👎👎👎👎

Wir kannten das Gasthaus vorher nicht, waren aber zu einem Geburtstag eingeladen. Mit Respekt das Essen war hervorragend. Klassische bayrische Küche aber raffiniert serviert. Der Vorspeisenteller mit Obazda (bzw. der pikanten bayerischen Käsezubereitung), Frischkäse und ausgesuchter Wurstauswahl war spektakulär lecker. Der Hauptgang, eine Auswahl von Schweinsbraten, Ente und Geflügelschnitzel ebenfalls von erster Qualität. Der Kaiserschmarrn als Nachtisch hat der Sache die Krone aufgesetzt. Alles tip-top, super Service, absolute Empfehlung. P.S. Über den Ausschank von "Augustiner" braucht man ja nicht reden ;-) mehr geht ja nicht.

Delicious roast pork and equally good spinach dumplings. There is also a cozy, rustic atmosphere that invites you to linger.

Had reserved a double room for one night, had to arrive alone. Got a single room for the double room price! Then I wanted to go without breakfast and didn't get my money back. The toilet was still full of stools and shaved hair from the previous tenant. The gentleman at the reception was stressed and unfriendly. I then left that night. I will not enter this hotel again!!! Very disappointed...

My companion and I visited the Almwirt in Haar today. We really liked the rustic, but at the same time modern restaurant at first glance. When the menu came, we were pleasantly surprised by the selection. We decided on a roast pork and a Munich schnitzel. The food was served promptly and really tasted excellent. I would also like to particularly emphasize the friendly and committed service. The loving Luis and the attentive, very helpful Klaudia contribute significantly to the Almwirt having a very special atmosphere. I can recommend everyone to visit the Alm. The Alm also regularly organizes great events that make a visit even more worthwhile.

Service from Klaudia 5-star, food delicious and top quality. Absolutely recommended, not just because of the hearty presentation!

Was in the area for work related matters. Went here for dinner in the evening. Very friendly welcome, very tasty food and a cozy atmosphere. A very nice evening, even though I was there alone.
