Hostaria Tano in Bremen

I was here from 2006 to 2007, 2013 to 2019 with a great friend, Carlos Bünemann. The service was excellent. Today, I remember the owner, Tano, filled with emotion, reflecting on how much he and Carlos loved each other. A wonderful place. I hope to return one day with my family.

We visited the restaurant with friends for dinner, everything was very tasty and juicy. We chose dishes from the menu. Although I read on the website that additional dishes are updated every week. We never received an additional menu. Overall we were pleased with both the food and the service. I recommend!

Mixed appetizer plates delicious. Personally pizza dough too thin. Fabric chairs. Already worn through on the armrests

Wir bekamen einen schönen Fensterplatz ohne Resevierung. Das Essen war super lecker für uns. Wir waren sehr zufrieden mit allem.

We had to wait a good hour for three main courses. When asked in a friendly manner, they rudely pointed out that the store was full as an excuse and ended the conversation immediately. The food was also very average. The gnocchi and lasagna were good but the risotto was very bad and was more reminiscent of canteen food in terms of appearance and taste.

A visit to Hostaria Tano is definitely recommended. The food is super tasty and is always delivered in a friendly manner. The prices are reasonable

The coffee and beer here are pretty good, the pizza in the establishment is not tasty, only the takeaway one is tasty, there are no complaints here at all.

The ambience itself is nice, but the chair covers really need to be replaced. Worn. There was also a slight subliminal smell of vinegar the whole time, unpleasant. The pasta was good, the carpaccio a solid 7-8 out of 10. A bit too much rocket, prefer a little less Parmesan and grated thinner. Service was also ok.

Despite the “City Lights” event where the city center was well attended, the restaurant was full. However, we weren't turned away straight away, like in 3 other restaurants before, because we unfortunately didn't have a reservation, but they served us and saw what was possible. We were offered a somewhat orphaned-looking table for two people near the entrance. Everything was great and completely okay. Thank you very much! The food was very tasty, the price was reasonable and the service was super nice.

I visited this restaurant to have a pizza and was completely satisfied. As soon as I entered I was warmly greeted and escorted straight to my table. The daily recommendations were presented to me right at the beginning, which I found very thoughtful. After a short wait I ordered a pizza with mushrooms and ham. The pizza came quickly, was wonderfully soft and really tasty. The combination of mushrooms and ham especially tasted great. The price-performance ratio is also perfect - 11 euros for such a good pizza is absolutely reasonable. The staff was also very friendly and took excellent care of the guests. I will definitely come back and recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for really good pizza or Italian food.

A waiter barely understood German, but didn't ask. So it was always a little surprise whether what you ordered came. A pizza was missing an ingredient according to the menu. In response to our inquiry, another waiter took the pizza away, commenting that he wouldn't be annoyed, and brought it back with cold artichokes. It was anything but tasty and the pizza was cold. Very unprofessional. After all, I didn't forget the ingredient (or perhaps knowingly left it out). When paying, the amount was simply typed into the EC device. An invoice was only given upon request. Our table also ordered lasagna, which was delicious.

Very nice place, good food with fast service. I'd rather drop by and eat quickly than organize long sit-downs. Very busy, so I do not recommend it for a quiet stay to take a break. Very nice service, open kitchen, so you can observe the process of creating your dish.

I went there for ice cream with a friend and had no idea how it tasted. But I clearly give it 5 stars for the real Italo feeling. The salesman/waiter hit on the lady massively while I was standing next to her. (And not necessarily in a funny, charming way that could be considered a show). So it was rather unpleasant for everyone. You only get something like this when you travel back in time to Italy in the 70s - it's just great

Even though we arrived 20 minutes before the kitchen closed, we were made very welcome and received good help. Food was fresh and tasted great. Service worked hard and came with new drinks on time. Even got a drink on the house afterwards (well after closing). The bill wasn't too bad.

Even though everything was full we got a table after 5 minutes. The boss is super attentive and very friendly. That's how it works!!! We sat right next to the pasta chefs...super exciting. We had 4 pizzas, all excellent. Thank you for the great evening.

An elegant taste table in Bremen... If you are craving Italian cuisine in Bremen, this can undoubtedly be your destination. An extremely clean and decent environment. We went as two people. We bought a tomato soup and a vegetable soup. We also wanted two different pastas: salmon-spinach and minced meat. All of them were delicious too. But the pino grigio white wine was outstanding. We didn't have a reservation and still got a table in the evening. As already written here, the chairs are in very poor condition. We ordered wine, which was served relatively quickly. However, we asked about the food order several times and were always put off straight away. We were then put off with a 0.1l glass of wine. An hour after ordering, the advance salad arrived and after further inquiries the food also arrived (waiting time 1 hour 15 minutes). We ordered from the special menu, unfortunately the meat was completely raw. The service said a new meal would be made or we would take a pizza instead, we just wanted to pay. Here too, unfortunately the price on the card did not match the bill. We were supposed to get something to take home with us as compensation. After what was supposed to be a nice restaurant evening, we turned it down. The shop looks very inviting from the outside, but unfortunately the price/performance ratio isn't right based on the portion. Unfortunately, this store is not recommended.

Authentic Italian. Absolutely delicious. We had all, antipasti, pizza and pasta. Honestly I can't say which one was more delicious. Staff they speak multiple languages which is very helpful and the most important they do speak English. Very good location in downtown.

Always nice service and good food

Nous avons trouvé cette pizzeria sur notre chemin en fuyant un autre restaurant où nous étions installés qui était super bruyant et ne servait que du tout près sorti du congélateur. Et bien nous n'avons pas été déçu. Les pâtes étaient fraîches et faites à la minute ( vous voyez la cuisine). La sauce était excellente et le service sympa avec des italiens s'éfforcant de bien parler et aux petits soins. Seul petit bémol j'aurais encore mangé 2-3 fourchettes en plus. Si je devais revenir à Brême j'y retournerais sans hésiter.

Was here at lunchtime during the week: service was attentive, quick and friendly... Carbonara was great. The all' arrabiata perfect but with a slight aftertaste. Beer fits. And maybe have one or two armchairs reupholstered. Recommendation.

I have no idea how the store works. We call the boss via WhatsApp when it comes to a valuation receipt. He picks his nose during the phone call and says it doesn't work. Black money, I send you greetings. Not for business lunches.

This pizzeria is simply great! The pizzas are excellent – ​​crispy base, fresh ingredients and the perfect taste. You can tell that the work here is done with love and care. Every bite was a delight! Absolutely recommended for anyone looking for really good pizza. I'll definitely be back!

An outrage!! Just because the 1-year-old child cried for a moment, do you immediately get in trouble from the cellar (an older man, black hair, 45-50 years old) that it wouldn't work like that and that we should keep the child quiet? What kind of catastrophe is this? He was a child hater! I've never experienced anything like this! It's normal for a little baby to cry sometimes, but to go straight to the customer and tell them that the child shouldn't cry and ask them to calm down is really an impertinence! We will definitely never go there again!!!!!!

A good Italian restaurant with attractive food.

Hello, I got a slice of pizza to go twice and I'm disappointed. The dough is not fluffy and the topping is not enough. I'm also willing to pay more if something changes.

Were not enthusiastic. Bring time and ideally NOT hunger. The service started after 15 minutes. the order was taken. All good so far. After >1 hour we asked where the food was for the children and us. Another 15 minutes later came mini portions which our four year old ate in 3 minutes. Price/performance is not right.

The Margarita and Quattro Formaggi were good (recommended for the price), but with the Diavolo and Salame e Funghi the salami was almost tasteless, which was a shame. The service met the minimum for a restaurant, but not much more.

I was honestly horrified. An Italian in that position, that should be fine, but I've never even seen such worn-out, worn-out furniture from bulky waste before. If you then draw conclusions about the rest of the company, you should draw the consequences.

Unfortunately, the portions are getting smaller and smaller. If you want to keep your regular boxes, the portions should be larger for a lot of money. Take it to heart, otherwise no one will come soon. What's the point if the food is delicious but you don't feel full.

On September 13th We were 6 people in the restaurant. Waited for an hour for the food, two people got the wrong dish, waited again until the right food came. Antipasti plate was disappointing in taste! Pasta and pizza were so so..., salad (completely without sauce, there was olive oil balsamic vinegar and salt on the table :))) Unfortunately there is no dessert other than ice cream 👎👎 We spent between 20-30 euros per person.

We have to admit in advance that we didn't make a reservation, but we got a table. A good Italian would have sweetened the waiting time with some bread and/or olives! Unfortunately we had to get the day ticket ourselves. The service was quite inattentive, so that due to the waiting time we only had one drink. We found the atmosphere very nice and pleasant and the food was very tasty!

Bad!!! We sat outside and asked for a smaller pizza. The answer was: only available outside the home. We accepted that and ordered normally. Then several other guests came and got the small slices of pizza “out of the house” for little money. When asked when paying, they only looked for excuses. Not recommendable.

Located right in Bremen city center, the price is absolutely ok!! Staff very friendly and attentive. We chose pasta and pizza for lunch and were very happy with it. I've had a (slightly) better Pizza Tonno somewhere else, but it was absolutely delicious here! Absolute recommendation for Bremen city center!

Service war sehr schleppend, Getränke vergessen, Portionen teilweise sehr übersichtlich. WC war kein Handpapier dafür eine Küchenrolle, geht gar nicht.

Unfortunately just average. I've been to this restaurant 5 times now and EVERY time our bill wasn't right. They always charged too much, sometimes a bottle of wine, sometimes a starter plate, sometimes drinks. It's kind of strange when it happens every time I visit. The service staff are certainly not trained because you have to ask twice for everything. The tables also take an eternity to be cleared away. Special requests for food are recorded when ordering and are also shown on the invoice, but they are not implemented in the food. Pizza is average, you can eat it but absolutely nothing special. Salmon risotto also a bad joke. There are much better restaurants in Bremen. I won't eat there anymore.

We went here for dinner on a Sunday evening and really enjoyed it. I would particularly like to emphasize the very friendly and personal service. This started with the choice of seating and continued with the unproblematic change of the menu (adding fresh truffles) to the very nice farewell. We also liked the ambience.

Prices on site and online do not match. Paid €1.50 more on site. Portion wouldn't even have been enough for a child. Waited 40 minutes instead of the announced 15 minutes. (Tortellini Al Forno)

Encantador lugar. Justo al lado de la plaza vieja, con una hermosa zona de estar al aire libre en la calle peatonal. Estaba tranquilo, a media tarde. Me regalé un martini y una pizza grande. El servicio fue eficiente y servicial - el tipo ha estado haciendo esto durante años. Me alegré mucho de haber elegido Tano en una zona donde abundan los restaurantes, aunque este está fuera de la zona principal. Buena comida, aprecio el buen servicio.

I ate there this week and didn't like it at all and won't eat there again in the future The service was very unfriendly and took a very long time. We waited at least 30 minutes for the menu, then waited an additional 30 minutes for the drinks and also a very long time for the food. Long waiting time, the service had to ask twice because the staff didn't communicate whether the order had already been ordered and the bread for the starter was forgotten. The pizza was okay, but the risotto was too salty. Back to the starters, the carpaccio would have benefited from a little more sauce than a store-bought balsamic dressing. I enjoyed my food. The service was bad. The pretty waitress was nice, but she probably didn't speak any German. This is bad. The waiters were nice, but they weren't able to give everyone a menu. We (11 people) also had to wait a long time for the food. Paying at the checkout took a very long time, and not just for me. In plain language, the management failed miserably.

Wir hatten reserviert und gleich beim Eintritt wurden wir eher mürrisch zur Kenntnis genommen. Die Aufnahme der Bestellung war von der Zeit befriedigend. Die Extratafel für weitere Gerichte wurde erst auf Nachfrage präsentiert. Die Hauptgerichte waren alle stark gesalzen/gewürzt. Carpaccio wurde auf einem großen Berg Ruccola drapiert. Sah dadurch nach „mehr“ aus und täuschte nicht über die recht übersichtliche Menge Fleisch hinweg. Spaghetti Carbonara sollte ein besonderer Speck/italienische Spezialität sein - wurde von uns bemängelt, da der Speck wirklich nur aus reinem Fett in ca. 1,5cm dicken Stücken bestand und nicht genießbar waren. Hier auch keine Entschuldigung o.ä., sondern nur der Hinweis auf die „Spezialität“. Bedienung auch weiterhin von mürrisch bis reserviert freundlich. Wir wurden von drei verschiedenen Kellner:innen versorgt. Alles in allem nicht zu empfehlen.

Wir hatten Wolfsbarsch und Bistecca Gorgonzola, dazu zwei Martin Bianco und etwas Wasser. Das Essen war gut, der Service bemüht. Unterschiedliche Bedienungen sind nicht gut. Zuerst bekommen wir Pizza, dann keine Wasser. Wir nehmen es mit Humor, denn die Location fast an der Weser ist schön eingerichtet.

Too bad, too bad, too bad I've been to Hostaria Tanno several times and have been satisfied so far, although the staff always seemed a bit uninterested. But on my last visit it was really bad. Long waiting times, unfriendly and very small portions. Our son (3 years old) only received drinks and food upon request after everyone else had already received their food. No asking if you liked it...and no interest in feedback. Even when paying a bill of €174 (there were six of us plus a small child) there was no thank you or question as to whether we liked it! After I expressed my disappointment, all I got was “oh, I’m sorry.” There are definitely better and friendlier restaurants. Better go somewhere else.

Personal ist hoffnungslos überfordert . Nachdem wir die Karte bekommen haben, hat es wieder lange gedauert bis der Kellner bei uns war. Unser 3 jähriger Sohn hat Getränk und essen immer als letzter erhalten!!! Haben zwischendurch nach Brot gefragt weil wir lange aufs Essen gewartet haben, selbst das hat lange gedauert! Die gnocchi mit Rinderfilet war sehr überschaubar, aber durchaus lecker. Die Unaufmerksamkeit des Personals ist schon krass, man musste fast schon betteln damit man noch was zu trinken bekommt. Auch beim bezahlen, kam keine Frage ob es geschmeckt hat oder so. Ich habe noch ein kleines Feedback gegeben aber darauf wurde nicht wirklich reagiert. Schade eigentlich.

In diese Hostaria kommen wir jedes Jahr einige Male und sind immer zufrieden. Ob Nudelgericht oder Fisch oder Pizza oder Salat oder Dessert - uns schmeckt es seit Jahren auf gleichbleibend gutem Niveau ausgezeichnet. Der Chef und die Mitarbeiter sind sehr nett und höflich, der Service ist aufmerksam, das Ambiente, die Lage, das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis - alles stimmig und passt. Wir haben einen sehr netten und gemütlichen Abend in einer angenehmen Atmosphäre verbringen dürfen. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und das Essen kam auch Zeitnah an den Tisch. Wir haben beide Pizzen gehaben, die von der Sauce bis zu Belägen sehr gut geschmeckt haben. Wir kommen gerne wieder :)

It doesn't work at all. We've been there twice now: first it takes ages for someone to come to get drinks/food and then another eternity for the food to arrive. We were also totally disappointed in terms of taste.

I've been to Tano several times and always found it good. However, I didn't like it the last time I visited and I won't go there again. The service seemed listless and disinterested. We ordered two starters which came at different times. Likewise with the main course. The kids' pizza came easily 20 minutes early, so we couldn't eat together. It was very cold in the entire restaurant. Not a nice stay. Very unfortunate. As I said, I won't be coming back

Italienisches Restaurant mit echten Italienern, hier gibt es eine wirklich authentische und leckere Pizza. Vielleicht sogar die beste zur Zeit in Bremen!? Alles andere haben wir noch nicht probiert, aber wir kommen bestimmt wieder. Schon für die Pizza fünf Sterne 🌟 🌟🌟🌟🌟

Gutes Italienisches essen zum angemessenen Preis. Netter Service und im Sommer die beste Eistheke Bremens. Einzig minimalste Kritikpunkte wir mussten durchgesessene Stühle einmal tauschen und zur Bezahlung bei zwei Besuchen zur Kasse gehen. Kommen aber auf jeden Fall wider.

Sehr leckeres Essen, guter Service. Man kann dort wirklich schön sitzen und essen.

Schlechter Service, langsam, versteht nicht richtig, Wartezeit von Bestellung bis beim Gast bei einer(!) Cola war 1std!! Nicht das bekommen was bestellt und berechnet wurde. Bei mehreren Gästen völlig überfordert, Preis für Leistung eindeutig zu hoch!!! Geschmacklich von "was ist das" ( Bruschetta) bis nicht bestellt (Schwein/Schwein und schlechtes Kalbröllchen bekommen ab3r Schwein/ Rind/ Kalb bestellt Ständiges warten auf den Service bezüglich Getränken und teilweise echt unhöflich sowie bei den Kellnern mega Schweißgeruch🤮🤮 so nicht!!! Nie wieder... War dort und es war so egal was der Chef, nicht gerade freundlich, labert. Ach und auf dem Boden rutscht man auf einer Fettschicht! Toiletten und Sauberkeit eher mäßig bis schlecht! Essen ist nix besonderes eher Abzocke als Hosteria italiano......
