We were very disappointed. We ordered redfish with vegetables. It was a very modest diet portion. My husband's fillet steak wasn't good either. The vegetables were very limited, and the Gorgonzola sauce was a very thin soup. The risotto was also tasteless. I'm definitely not going back.

The service is terrible, I've never experienced anything like it! I waited an hour just for drinks! The drinks came without an apology, I told the manager, we had waited so long. Instead of apologizing, he told me with his finger ☝️ I don't like it, go out, go away, repeatedly! He is very arrogant, rude, snotty, and disrespectful to customers! The food order was taken after the drinks, and we still had to wait and call for a waiter. The food was an appetizer that was already open at the counter, but we still waited another 45 minutes. The table on the terrace was very crooked, and there was no glass plate or napkin under the wine glasses, so we had to keep holding the glasses. For our friends, food arrived first for one person, then after 20 minutes for others, a burnt black pizza. Terrible, after waiting so long, being hungry, and then something like that. The name of the restaurant doesn't guarantee such customer service. Lots of tourists in the city, so the manager doesn't care... Never again. Not recommended!

We were booked in with a larger group and still waited about 1.5 hours for our food. The blonde waitress was very attentive and regularly informed us about the wait. However, she was completely stressed, partly because other tables were complaining about the long wait. We then offered her a glass of water because she was so exhausted, which she gratefully accepted. There was only one chef that evening, which couldn't possibly work... Despite the extremely long wait, there wasn't even bread or oil or any other small greeting from the kitchen, which we should have expected. However, everyone thought the food was delicious – I had pizza, and it was perfect. I complained about an ice-cold red wine and was promptly brought a glass at the right temperature. I was allowed to keep the cold wine and didn't have to pay for it. Conclusion: good food, but definitely too long a wait!

Highly recommended. We spontaneously came on a Saturday lunchtime and got a free table. The waiters were very friendly and accommodated special requests. The food (2 pizzas, 2 pastas) arrived promptly, was fresh, and very tasty, as were the bread and herb oil, which was served to whet our appetite. We'd be happy to come back.

Unfortunately, you don't feel welcome in this restaurant. Service is unfriendly, noncommittal, and inattentive. I didn't like the combination of the dish I ordered, Linguini con frutti di mare, and I know Italian cuisine very well. Moreover, the ingredients listed on the menu are particularly important. The high prices charged at Hostario Tano aren't justified. This particular dish contained a shrimp and a mussel, and otherwise, just a lot of calamari. There was also salmon, which didn't go well with the dish. The pasta itself and the base of the crema were perfect, but the dish didn't complete the dish. If someone asks me about a very good Italian restaurant in Bremen, I'll recommend another one.

I recently visited Hostaria Tano in Bremen and had a mixed experience. I ordered a salami pizza – it tasted absolutely excellent! The crust was nice and crispy, the dough wasn't too dry, and the ingredients seemed fresh and well-balanced. So, there's definitely culinary potential here. The wait, however, was less pleasant: Almost 40 minutes passed before the pizza finally arrived at the table. The service was also mixed. While some of the employees seemed rather reserved to moderately friendly, the manager stood out positively: very attentive, friendly, and he asked several times if everything was okay – that definitely made an impression. Another minor criticism concerns the route to the restroom: left, right, left again, then right – the whole thing seems convoluted and somewhat chaotic. Not a big deal, but a detail that sticks with you.

A cozy Italian restaurant in the heart of Bremen's city center. I've been there several times. Because it was nice and warm today, I sat outside and ate. I had a mushroom pizza. 🍕 It was delicious! My food and drink were also brought fairly quickly. It only took a while for someone to come to pay. It was also busy, though. Otherwise, I was very satisfied.

I have been able to visit this charming Italian restaurant several times - and after my first visit I was completely impressed. What is on offer here is much more than just another Italian around the corner. It is a place where people cook with passion, serve with heart and do business with a sense of quality. The kitchen is not just “Italian run” but actually authentically Italian. Anyone who has ever been served a “Carbonara” with cream and cooked ham will immediately taste the difference. Here, attention is paid to the originality and quality of the ingredients - you can taste it in every bite. The excellent price-performance ratio should also be highlighted. The dishes are not only fresh and lovingly prepared, but also fairly priced - a real highlight in Bremen's gastronomic scene. And if you don't feel like pasta, we highly recommend pizza. In my opinion it is one of the best in the city. Crispy on the outside, airy on the inside, it's hard to leave the edge alone (and to be honest, that would almost be a crime). The atmosphere is cozy, warm and invites you to linger. The drinks menu also leaves nothing to be desired. As for the service: Yes, there are minor language barriers here and there, but these are more than made up for by the friendliness and effort of the staff. The employees often speak good German or English, and small misunderstandings are always resolved in a charming and solution-oriented manner. Personally, I really appreciated that minor mishaps - such as an "imperfect" piece of dessert (in my opinion, there was no problem) or a spilled drink - were followed by thoughtful gestures, such as a dessert or drink on the house. Such sensitivity has become rare these days. My tip: Bring a little time. If you come here, you shouldn't hope for quick pasta in 15 minutes. The dishes take time - and that's a good thing. Because good food is meant to be enjoyed. This restaurant is a place to arrive, breathe deeply and enjoy. A culinary piece of Italy in Bremen. Nevertheless, the restaurant offers some to-go options and they are also very worth it. The occasional language barrier represents - if at all - a small contra argument under very, very strict standards, but it has absolutely no weight in the overall picture. The overall experience far outshines such little things. Absolute recommendation, keep it up and gladly again!

I was here from 2006 to 2007, 2013 to 2019 with a great friend, Carlos Bünemann. The service was excellent. Today, I remember the owner, Tano, filled with emotion, reflecting on how much he and Carlos loved each other. A wonderful place. I hope to return one day with my family.

We visited the restaurant with friends for dinner, everything was very tasty and juicy. We chose dishes from the menu. Although I read on the website that additional dishes are updated every week. We never received an additional menu. Overall we were pleased with both the food and the service. I recommend!

We had to wait a good hour for three main courses. When asked in a friendly manner, they rudely pointed out that the store was full as an excuse and ended the conversation immediately. The food was also very average. The gnocchi and lasagna were good but the risotto was very bad and was more reminiscent of canteen food in terms of appearance and taste.

The coffee and beer here are pretty good, the pizza in the establishment is not tasty, only the takeaway one is tasty, there are no complaints here at all.

The ambience itself is nice, but the chair covers really need to be replaced. Worn. There was also a slight subliminal smell of vinegar the whole time, unpleasant. The pasta was good, the carpaccio a solid 7-8 out of 10. A bit too much rocket, prefer a little less Parmesan and grated thinner. Service was also ok.

Despite the “City Lights” event where the city center was well attended, the restaurant was full. However, we weren't turned away straight away, like in 3 other restaurants before, because we unfortunately didn't have a reservation, but they served us and saw what was possible. We were offered a somewhat orphaned-looking table for two people near the entrance. Everything was great and completely okay. Thank you very much! The food was very tasty, the price was reasonable and the service was super nice.

I visited this restaurant to have a pizza and was completely satisfied. As soon as I entered I was warmly greeted and escorted straight to my table. The daily recommendations were presented to me right at the beginning, which I found very thoughtful. After a short wait I ordered a pizza with mushrooms and ham. The pizza came quickly, was wonderfully soft and really tasty. The combination of mushrooms and ham especially tasted great. The price-performance ratio is also perfect - 11 euros for such a good pizza is absolutely reasonable. The staff was also very friendly and took excellent care of the guests. I will definitely come back and recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for really good pizza or Italian food.

A waiter barely understood German, but didn't ask. So it was always a little surprise whether what you ordered came. A pizza was missing an ingredient according to the menu. In response to our inquiry, another waiter took the pizza away, commenting that he wouldn't be annoyed, and brought it back with cold artichokes. It was anything but tasty and the pizza was cold. Very unprofessional. After all, I didn't forget the ingredient (or perhaps knowingly left it out). When paying, the amount was simply typed into the EC device. An invoice was only given upon request. Our table also ordered lasagna, which was delicious.

I went there for ice cream with a friend and had no idea how it tasted. But I clearly give it 5 stars for the real Italo feeling. The salesman/waiter hit on the lady massively while I was standing next to her. (And not necessarily in a funny, charming way that could be considered a show). So it was rather unpleasant for everyone. You only get something like this when you travel back in time to Italy in the 70s - it's just great

Even though we arrived 20 minutes before the kitchen closed, we were made very welcome and received good help. Food was fresh and tasted great. Service worked hard and came with new drinks on time. Even got a drink on the house afterwards (well after closing). The bill wasn't too bad.

An elegant taste table in Bremen... If you are craving Italian cuisine in Bremen, this can undoubtedly be your destination. An extremely clean and decent environment. We went as two people. We bought a tomato soup and a vegetable soup. We also wanted two different pastas: salmon-spinach and minced meat. All of them were delicious too. But the pino grigio white wine was outstanding. We didn't have a reservation and still got a table in the evening. As already written here, the chairs are in very poor condition. We ordered wine, which was served relatively quickly. However, we asked about the food order several times and were always put off straight away. We were then put off with a 0.1l glass of wine. An hour after ordering, the advance salad arrived and after further inquiries the food also arrived (waiting time 1 hour 15 minutes). We ordered from the special menu, unfortunately the meat was completely raw. The service said a new meal would be made or we would take a pizza instead, we just wanted to pay. Here too, unfortunately the price on the card did not match the bill. We were supposed to get something to take home with us as compensation. After what was supposed to be a nice restaurant evening, we turned it down. The shop looks very inviting from the outside, but unfortunately the price/performance ratio isn't right based on the portion. Unfortunately, this store is not recommended.

Authentic Italian. Absolutely delicious. We had all, antipasti, pizza and pasta. Honestly I can't say which one was more delicious. Staff they speak multiple languages which is very helpful and the most important they do speak English. Very good location in downtown.

Nous avons trouvé cette pizzeria sur notre chemin en fuyant un autre restaurant où nous étions installés qui était super bruyant et ne servait que du tout près sorti du congélateur. Et bien nous n'avons pas été déçu. Les pâtes étaient fraîches et faites à la minute ( vous voyez la cuisine). La sauce était excellente et le service sympa avec des italiens s'éfforcant de bien parler et aux petits soins. Seul petit bémol j'aurais encore mangé 2-3 fourchettes en plus. Si je devais revenir à Brême j'y retournerais sans hésiter.

An outrage!! Just because the 1-year-old child cried for a moment, do you immediately get in trouble from the cellar (an older man, black hair, 45-50 years old) that it wouldn't work like that and that we should keep the child quiet? What kind of catastrophe is this? He was a child hater! I've never experienced anything like this! It's normal for a little baby to cry sometimes, but to go straight to the customer and tell them that the child shouldn't cry and ask them to calm down is really an impertinence! We will definitely never go there again!!!!!!

A good Italian restaurant with attractive food.

Hello, I got a slice of pizza to go twice and I'm disappointed. The dough is not fluffy and the topping is not enough. I'm also willing to pay more if something changes.

Were not enthusiastic. Bring time and ideally NOT hunger. The service started after 15 minutes. the order was taken. All good so far. After >1 hour we asked where the food was for the children and us. Another 15 minutes later came mini portions which our four year old ate in 3 minutes. Price/performance is not right.

The Margarita and Quattro Formaggi were good (recommended for the price), but with the Diavolo and Salame e Funghi the salami was almost tasteless, which was a shame. The service met the minimum for a restaurant, but not much more.

On September 13th We were 6 people in the restaurant. Waited for an hour for the food, two people got the wrong dish, waited again until the right food came. Antipasti plate was disappointing in taste! Pasta and pizza were so so..., salad (completely without sauce, there was olive oil balsamic vinegar and salt on the table :))) Unfortunately there is no dessert other than ice cream 👎👎 We spent between 20-30 euros per person.

We have to admit in advance that we didn't make a reservation, but we got a table. A good Italian would have sweetened the waiting time with some bread and/or olives! Unfortunately we had to get the day ticket ourselves. The service was quite inattentive, so that due to the waiting time we only had one drink. We found the atmosphere very nice and pleasant and the food was very tasty!

Bad!!! We sat outside and asked for a smaller pizza. The answer was: only available outside the home. We accepted that and ordered normally. Then several other guests came and got the small slices of pizza “out of the house” for little money. When asked when paying, they only looked for excuses. Not recommendable.

I don't usually review here, but I did today: Unfortunately, I can't recommend the store at all. The restaurant has a great location, but there are too few staff and it is very slow and unorganized. Drinks are made by the waiters themselves... The meal took a long time before the starter and main course came together. Not seasoned enough and the lasagne was boiling on the outside and cool on the inside - and everything was too small. The vegetarian food is an outrage. The first and last time - unfortunately.

Special requests for food are recorded when ordering and are also shown on the invoice, but they are not implemented in the food. Pizza is average, you can eat it but absolutely nothing special. Salmon risotto also a bad joke. There are much better restaurants in Bremen. I won't eat there anymore.

We went here for dinner on a Sunday evening and really enjoyed it. I would particularly like to emphasize the very friendly and personal service. This started with the choice of seating and continued with the unproblematic change of the menu (adding fresh truffles) to the very nice farewell. We also liked the ambience.

Super new, nice ambience, modern furnishings… very, very nice service “a la Italia”… reasonable prices, ice cream parlor belongs to the pizzeria opposite, which is also of high quality!

Encantador lugar. Justo al lado de la plaza vieja, con una hermosa zona de estar al aire libre en la calle peatonal. Estaba tranquilo, a media tarde. Me regalé un martini y una pizza grande. El servicio fue eficiente y servicial - el tipo ha estado haciendo esto durante años. Me alegré mucho de haber elegido Tano en una zona donde abundan los restaurantes, aunque este está fuera de la zona principal. Buena comida, aprecio el buen servicio.
