Wonderful evening in a small pub. It's a bit tight, the people behind the counter were friendly, nice... pampered, the food was great. If we are in Stuttgart again we will definitely come back!

At first I was a bit shocked because I was expecting a restaurant or a tavern 😄. The hops and malt is small and more of a pub or pup. BUT: The food is incredibly tasty, the service is super friendly! I would come here to eat again at any time.

There was a lot of delivery and car pick-up traffic on the square (DiakonieTagesPflege??) Unfortunately you could only exchange the fries for potato salad at an additional cost... At €9.80 + X it wasn't worth it to me 😕 The currywurst with fries took some getting used to 😏 Fries were swimming in a sea of ​​curry sauce (finished product?) So no recommendation from me for eating! The range of drinks was extensive - many types of beer 👍

The food was good. The beer selection while small, was quality beer & reasonably priced. I had the currywerst which was excellent! We sat outside under the awning/Umbrella and a server came within :10 mins to take our order. The drinks came quickly and the food ontime which was hot and tasty! Prices were reasonable.

I went because of the many positive reviews. The first thing I noticed was the very unpleasant smell of old grease coming from the pub. That was really disgusting and the reason why we sat outside when the weather wasn't good. We had reserved but no table was prepared. Ultimately we put the tables together ourselves. The tables also made a very unkempt impression. The food was good, but the old fat with which the schnitzels were made was noticeable. I can't recommend it

Food good. Drink normally. Ambiance very funny. Very nice owner. Simon the cat says hello (cat was in the bar with him) and nothing comes of it. Everything will be found again ^^ including secret files hahahahha

Sodele everyone........I'm an old Vaihinger, I think I know where I can feel comfortable here in town. I've seen a lot and can assess the matter with good background knowledge. What is meant here is not just the people but more the processes. So from me when it comes to the place and the people. It's simply beautiful how the diversity of different characters meet and encounter each other here. Whether "Zuzoga", local, tourist..., pensioner, man/woman + everyone else... I think they visibly feel comfortable. I can't complain about the staff or the boss. Can work with young and old in a good way, mostly "young people", well motivated and with an overview even under stress. So people, when the shop is full, it takes a little longer and anyone who cancels because of ten minutes seems to be more on the run... In the windward direction and at the television tower you even have to wait in line downstairs to drink a cafe inside or upstairs. The advantage here is that you can see when all the seats are full, but not at the television tower. The outdoor area is great and green in summer. Solid rustic interior, you can see it. Cozy with a seating area, counter,.......fits. Kitchen, I'm not particularly involved in that for health reasons, and I don't sing the praises of the guests I know. Everyone has their own favorite and now because of the changing weekly menu where dishes like the Bäckle end up, they often don't know what to eat anymore.........ok. Luxury problem just a little older, but very frail lady who took some bakery home with her (because it was so good last time...) because she still remembers it from before. That's actually the best praise you could wish for your own kitchen... I'm happy if it stays that way.

Food-wise, this was a revelation for me. I can't rave enough about the fresh, homemade potato salad, it was that good. The side salad was delicious and had a really nice dressing. And the Maultaschen with egg, which reminded me of a pizza, were a dream. These were the best Maultaschen in town. The service was friendly and the boss was very nice. I felt very comfortable here! Gladly again.

Gemütliche kleine Kneipe mit sehr leckerem Essen. Im Sommer mit Aussenbereich, in den Wintermonaten wenig Tische. Freundliche und zuvorkommende Bedingungen.

Hier kann man was trinken, aber nicht essen. Wir hatten die Käsespätzle und ein Schnitzel mit Pommes. Die Spätzle in ihrer Soße waren mehlig im Mund und das Schnitzel war zäh und schmeckte nur nach Fett, das konnte die Scheibe Zitrone oben drauf und vier Packungen Ketchup nicht retten. Ich empfehle euch hier nichts zu essen! Selten so enttäuscht worden.

Really nice German restaurant a short walk from my hotel and the train station. Tried the Paniertes Schnitzel mit Spatzle und salat. The breading was thick but not too heavy. Mushroom cream sauce was perfect. The salad with vinaigrette also really hit the spot. At first they brought out fries but the the waitress was very gracious and switched it out with spatzle (not sure if it was my mistake or theirs). Outdoor seating was well shaded and had a nice view of the plaza.

Came here on a Wednesday and ordered the schnitzel with spätzle. They have Alpirsbacher on draft. The bartender was very nice and attentive. The food came out quick and the schnitzel was very good with a nice crunch on the outside. Mushroom sauce is always a good choice! I will return!

Alles Super hier der Sevice ist Mega top sei’s Bedinung/Koch/Barkeeper/Chefin alles ist Mega gut und alle sind super Freundlich obwohl ab und zu hier bissle Stressig ist weil viele Kunden da sind ist es immer alles sehr entspannt. Das Essen ist auch sehr gut wird auch von der Chefin persönlich gekocht und natürlich auch von einem guten Koch Ich kann es hier nur empfehlen Vaihingen hat was Das Hopfen und Malz bin sehr oft und sehr gern hier Hier gibts nix zu beklagen Also Leut kommt mal vor bei und macht euch doch selber ein Bild vom Hopf und Malz Lieben Gruß Salva

Ich würde mir wünschen dass sich ein paar Dinge ändern, daher nur 2 Sterne ( echt nicht böse gemeint, daher ein paar Begründungen): 1. Beim Schnitzel bitte Sehnen und Fett entfernen 2. Das Schnitzel bitte klopfen (gefühlt 1cm dicke Scheibe Fleisch unter der Panade) 3. Schweizer Wurstsalat ist hier mit Schinkenwurst. Soße war gelblich. Schätze mal viel zu viel Senf hatte zuviel Senf. Der beigelegte Salat bitte gründlicher Waschen. Knirschen beim Kauen (durch Resterde ist eklig) 4. Wartezeiten: nicht angemessen. Geht in Restaurants mit gleicher Anzahl an Personal wesentlich schneller bei den Getränken Personal ist seeehr nett und zuvorkommend. Location: Naja, der Marktplatz ist jetzt nicht der Renner, dafür kann die Geschäftsführerin ja nix. Die Wachstischdecken sind nicht zeitgemäß. Besteck auch eher niedrige Qualität. Tellergeschirr soweit ich das einordnen kann sind neu und stylisch. Beim nächsten Besuch hoffe ich, dass sich was geändert hat. Dann bewerte ich gerne höher..

A great option in Vaihingen for authentic German food and delicious Alpirsbacher beer. The tables were full on a weekday evening so clearly this is a popular place. Service was friendly and fast. Inside is rustic and a bit small so when the weather is warm and their outdoor seating is set up, it’s even better!

It's surprisingly good. The food was excellent. The portion was much bigger than the other restaurants. The food was very tasty and fresh. We ordered turkey salad, schnitzel with spatzle, and beer. The waitress took our order fast and brought the food pretty quickly. We were completely satisfied with our order and services provided by the restaurant. The food was cooked the german traditional way. Would go there again for another meal.

Noch ganz gute Preise und sehr leckeres Essen, freundliches Personal. Sehr schön zum draussen sitzen, drin wäre nicht mein Fall.

Good pub with good grub. Classic German menu of maultaschen, spezel and schnitzel, done reasonably well. The beer is great and service friendly and helpful. There are better examples of German food just up the road but this is a nice pub overall.

Great beer, good food and nice atmosphere. It's a little bar that has a few German classics done reasonably well. Our schnitzel, maltaschen and spetz were tasty but not the best in Vaihingen or Stuttgart but still hot, tasty and reasonably priced. Helpful quick service, cold beer, good food, you can't go far wrong.

Hallo Liebes Team, hab mir bei euch zum Mittagessen für 2 Pers. 2x Schnitzel mit Spätzle und Pilzoße gem. Salat mit einer Honigsenfsoße geholt und bin absolut begeistert von dem Essen. Die Schnitzel waren perfekt gegart, die Panade knuspig u. lecker, die Spätzle bissfest, aber vor allem die Salatsoße war der Hit. Absolut zu empfehlen, Weiter so....

Wir haben die Maultaschen und ein Schnitzel mit Pommes sowie ein leckeres Bier und Rosé Wein Schorle gehabt. Da es zwar schön sonnig war bei 25 Grad war jedoch ein kühler Wind ging, ist das Essen schnell ausgekühlt. Der Service war gut und zügig. Schö draußen gesessen auf dem Marktplatz. Kann man gut wieder hingehen.

Ich habe mich sehr wohl gefühlt... Die Bedienung ist top ...das Flair ist sehr cool...

Sieht von außen nicht sehr einladend aus, ist aber ein echter Geheimtipp! Die pommes sind top, die schnitzel super paniert und das Salatdressing echt besonders. Die Bedienung war sehr zuvorkommend und herzlich. Gerne wieder, wenn ich in der Gegend bin.

The patrons of the bar made me feel like a regular. As a traveler, it is wonderful to receive such hospitality. The food was hot and very tasty.

Gutes Essen, nette Bedienung. Man kann sehr nett draußen sitzen. Nach dem Essen gern ein Drink am Tresen.

Sehr nettes Lokal, mit sehr netten und gut gelaunten Personal, vorallem Osman war cool.....wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt.

Für mich die beste Location in Vaihingen. Der ehemalige Eimer am Marktplatz ist wirklich immer wieder gut. Innen Spielunke, außen tolles Flair im Sommer. Sehr leckeres Essen, insbesondere die Schnitzel, und günstige Preise. Das Beste: Ich liebe es mein knusprig paniertes Schnitzel in die hausgemachte Pilzrahmsauce zu dippen und dabei ein Alpi Spezial zu genießen während nebenan irgendwelche Opfer für teuer Geld gekochten Reis mit Seetang serviert bekommen. Der Service ist meist etwas überfordert, aber authentisch und sympathisch, also was soll's 😉
