Hello, The food is really great and leaves nothing to be desired. Drinks are included in the price and are an absolute plus point. Unfortunately, the soft ice cream machine doesn't have chocolate flavor, correct me if I'm wrong or if it's available now.

The good was fresh and Tasty. The staff was friendly. Midweek days are less crowded.

We were there for lunch today. Unfortunately, the quality has deteriorated more and more in the last few months. The buffet is only lukewarm. I found it very greasy. A big spring cleaning should also be done again.

Once is enough. More conveniens than real Chinese cuisine. It has absolutely nothing to do with this. Just thrown away money. It's better to visit the Asian in Blaustein straight away, it's worth it. Here, as in Neu-Ulm and Laichingen, there is only feeding establishment. Very important, babies are not welcome here!

The food wasn't good, we felt bad after the first plate. For €34 it's an absolute disgrace what you get for it. You don't taste much of Mongolian food; after just one plate we lost our appetite. Lovelessly charred on one side and the other side still raw and no real taste. The standard buffet could have been a little fresher for the price. I was there 3 years ago and the food was much better. It was the last time for us to eat there. I won't get a stomach ache elsewhere for that money. The only highlight in all of this is the all you can drink offer. So if you're really thirsty you can try it out, because there's very little you can do wrong. Little can be said about the service. Plates were cleared quickly, but what was ordered was only brought out after 30 minutes to 45 minutes, usually already cold. The ambience isn't great either, lots of places, but no real atmosphere. The hygiene of the place is also very important to consider. As it is now, we strongly advise against visiting this restaurant.

Be careful, they don't accept foreign debit and credit cards, not good for a country of the first world 😞

Great food, price ok, but the petrified feces on the toilet window could be removed after 1-2 years along with the cobwebs that can't come overnight.

We used to come here at least 1-2 times a year because in our opinion the selection, taste and value for money were very good. The last time we were there was last Saturday, unfortunately the taste in particular had deteriorated significantly, and there was also a lot going on and the guests often lined up in two rows at the hot buffet, and some guests started eating directly at the buffet, otherwise the dishes were on their plates would have gotten cold by the time you got around. Maybe it was due to the "shift change", but we've never experienced it so extreme before. We didn't like it this time, and when it comes to the toilets I can only agree with the negative impressions; they urgently need to be improved. We hope that the taste will improve again and that the guests will be spread out better again. Update from 01/01/25: We gave the buffet restaurant another chance. In terms of taste, we enjoyed it much better and the guests were spread out much better and the waiting times weren't nearly as long.

If you want to eat in a cozy atmosphere and if you value a balanced meal that has been prepared and put together with finesse by a chef, you have definitely come to the wrong place here. Guests who don't mind the noise and crowds at the buffet and want to eat (too) as much as possible for as little money as possible will be really happy here.

Unfortunately, I got a bad stomach upset right there today. The food didn't taste good either. When I was in the toilet, a person next door vomited. I don't know if there was something bad about the food today, but for me it was definitely the last visit. Too bad.

In terms of selection, I think it's the best Chinese I've ever been to. What I think is great is that you can drink as much as you want and there are also special drinks like Bionade, Sprizz, Arizona, etc. Unfortunately, what I didn't like was that the fresh dishes were always dirty. Every other plate I picked up wasn't clean. That spoiled my appetite a bit.

Well, I've eaten better buffets, but also worse ones. It's true, it's designed for the masses and is very fat-heavy. If you know that beforehand, you're not a fried person! Fish should be eaten here, excellent! Also: the waitresses aren't unfriendly, they don't speak a word of German! The toilet is very small for the size of the restaurant, three men can pee at the same time. The opening times are not correct either, it is open ALL THE TIME on weekends and public holidays!

The lunch buffet was very good. I would definitely do it again. I was also 12/31/2023. Really very good at the New Year's Eve buffet and lots of good quality food.

We go there again and again and are largely satisfied. However, there are small points of criticism. The price is getting higher and higher, we have now paid EUR 37 per person (holiday price). In comparison, that's ok if you calculate that you get a starter, salad, soup, main course, dessert and drinks - all in a free choice and quantity. However, not all dishes are really a hit. And I don't mean because tastes are different. We all had the same experience at the buffet, which was freshly prepared: visually great, but the meat wasn't fully cooked - and it wasn't because it was meant to be, one side looked great, the other was almost raw. Ultimately, this is not proper work! We didn't have such experiences at the buffet with ready-made dishes. At first glance there is a lot to choose from when it comes to sushi - but it is not suitable for vegetarians (or people who don't like fish). Drink selection great. Non-alcoholic in bottles and on tap, beer, coffee, cappuccino... self-service. There's wine at the bar. In one corner or another you could pay more attention to cleanliness. The clips that come onto the plate are not really clean - they should perhaps be washed once after every table change! Tables, plates and cutlery were sometimes not properly clean. All in all, the best all-you-can-eat restaurant in the region.

What a juice shop! I would love to give a 0 star rating but that's not possible. The food to fry arrives 1 out of 3 times, when it arrives it is black on one side and raw on the other??!! The “ambience” does not exist, everything is geared towards the maximum capacity of the guests and the quickest possible visit. The food at the buffet feels thrown at you and treated in an incredibly unappetizing and careless manner. When I arrived at the table, I was greeted by a carved swastika, but no one here cares about that. The cutlery is rarely really clean. There was a metal part in my ice cream (see picture) and when I mentioned it, the employee simply wanted the metal part (I had to pick it out for him) and said I should get a new ball!!!! While the prices rise, the quality drops here!! The highlight was the “all you can drink” aspect, but you can’t really go wrong with that. Oh yes, table service is also a joke, plates have to be handed to the waiter because he doesn't clear the plates from the table on his own.

Unfortunately, there are only a few vegetarian options and almost no vegan dishes. You can have vegetables fried, but I accidentally mixed in squid rings and my friend also had a piece of meat because the foods are fried next to each other. This shouldn't and shouldn't happen. I would recommend making a special station where only vegetables can be fried.

By the way, the ice cream machine was broken and the chocolate fountain didn't run for about 2 of the 3 hour stay.

Be careful when going to the lunch buffet (11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.)! There is a big price difference at lunchtime between the lunch buffet without grill (Eur 22) and the “experience buffet” with grill (Eur 34). 22 euros is actually good value for money, but 34 euros is too much in my opinion. From the sign advertising the lunch buffet (at reception) I saw that the lunch buffet costs 22 euros per adult, including a beer or unlimited soft drinks. In the end it turned out that I had to pay 34 euros per person because I also took from the grill. Nobody explained this to us at the beginning and this is the first time we have used this lunch format (we usually go in the evening) so we were very upset when we got the bill. I have previously been a loyal customer for many years, but after this experience I will not be going back. The staff could have made it more clear at the start of the meal what exactly was included in the price. The sign at reception did not say (see below) that the grill was not included, nor did a waiter come to our table to clarify this, nor was there a menu, so we felt misled. If I had known the grill would cost so much more, I wouldn't have taken this option. The waiter for our table came at the end and wrote down how many adults and children were there. Also annoying as in our opinion we followed all the rules they had put in place (for the lunch buffet) which was to finish lunch by 2:30pm and not take unlimited beer and drinks but we still ended up having to pay the full price pay for the “experience buffet”. The checkout staff had no understanding of our situation and the misunderstanding. In any case, we won't be going there again because we had the feeling that the sign at the entrance was intentionally misleading and that customers were being pushed towards the 34 euro price, even if they actually wanted to choose the 22 euro option... Just please Adjust the sign at the entrance, then it will fit again and customers will know exactly what they are getting into.

Food is good, large selection (buffet). I can't say service because it's self-service. The atmosphere is like at the airport or train station, way too loud. There were 10 people, entertaining was almost impossible.

We had dinner there for the Christmas party so first of all I have to contradict the negative reviews. Neither others nor I had stomach cramps/diarrhea etc. after/during the meal. The food was super delicious, the salad was fresh and crunchy, the noodles were great, duck, chicken, baked prawns, spring rolls, the desserts and much more, everything was delicious! The staff was also very friendly :) We would like to thank you for the delicious food and the lovely evening! 😋☺️

I've always enjoyed going here, but it's gone down a lot and I have to agree with some people's warnings - shortly after eating I started feeling dizzy and sick. A person also vomited in the toilet and it was clear from the toilet that this had probably happened in my cabin too. This is worrying! I hope that Hong Yun Lai returns to its old (very high!) quality - then I'll be happy to come back and give it 5 stars!

The Hong Yun Lai in Ulm is best known for its buffet. The quality and selection you get here for little money is amazing. Absolute recommendation, even for lunch!

The three of us were there on November 3rd, 2024 and it was a complete disaster. Never again. Immediately after eating, still on site: Diarrhea!!! The way the toilets looked, I was by far not the first! My companion wasn't feeling well after dinner either, that can't be a coincidence! Really incredible pictures!!!disgusting!! Apparently there is absolutely no cleanliness and hygiene here!!!! I don't want to know what the kitchen looks like. At the fresh meat counter: Beef fillet and lamb fillet were what the signs said, but they were absolutely not this type of meat!!! This is deception and fraud!!! I asked them about it and at first some young guy tried to tell me that it was fillet, until an older gentleman (the boss) came over and said: yes, sorry, he will change the signs!!! Don't want to know what kangaroo meat really is??? NEVER AGAIN This review is 100% true.

We really come here often and for us it is the best Asian buffet far and wide...BUT!!! Unfortunately, the problem that is becoming more and more acute is the toilets! They urgently need to be replaced, but old toilets can also be maintained and kept clean. This seems to be getting worse with every visit at the moment, even after the restaurant has just opened the floor is sticky, there is no toilet paper and the toilets are not clean. The toilet brushes and the clone brush holders also urgently need to be replaced! This definitely needs to be worked on as soon as possible, because this would actually be a reason to stay away from the restaurant despite the great food... Cleanliness doesn't cost anything and then we and our friends and acquaintances will continue to come over regularly and happily to eat :) The service staff is really very attentive and quick, unfortunately most of the employees touch the glasses when clearing away, this should also be avoided...fingers have no place in empty glasses either...otherwise the quality and selection of them is Food and drinks really great and something for everyone.

Today I was with you and actually wanted to spend a relaxing evening, but unfortunately that was difficult. Of course there is a lot going on on a Saturday night and the noise level was really enormous - children running around and screaming, families partying loudly. It was pretty chaotic, almost like a huge family gathering where you don't really want to be. You have to accept that, but it wasn't pleasant. About the food: There is a wide selection, you have to give that to the concept. After all, the dishes taste different, unlike other similar buffets where everything kind of tastes the same. The presentation was appetizing, especially considering the crowds, and the staff really tried to clear up quickly and keep order. But in the end it's just not what I imagined for 32 euros. While you can eat and drink as much as you want, the dining experience was questionable. It's hard for me to give really bad criticism because you get a certain amount of performance. But the experience itself just wasn't good. I'm sorry.

Large Chinese restaurant with a classic and really good Mongolian buffet. Have been coming here again and again for many years. No matter whether as a couple or with the family. If you like Asian cuisine, you can't go wrong here.

I really don't understand where all the good reviews come from - the food really isn't good & the price is just ridiculous

Until about a year ago, we were regular visitors to this restaurant and really enjoyed it, especially because of the excellent shrimp. We kept coming back mainly for the shrimp, as they were simply deliciously prepared and were the highlight of the buffet. Unfortunately, the taste has changed recently and the quality seems to have declined. The shrimp no longer tastes as fresh and flavorful as it used to, which is a shame since they were the main reason for our visit. We hope that the restaurant returns to its former level, as we would like to visit again more often

The food is pretty average but plenty of choice. A bit impersonal, but that's mainly due to the size. The children's play area is unfortunately very, very bad. The 4-5 toys that are there are all broken. The staff is very nice. 32€ for all you can eat and drinks.

I had been there a few times in the past. The food is okay and is always refilled regularly. Charged one euro more than advertised, no beer allowed, only open drinks and coffee. You are not allowed to combine different menus at one table (lunch buffet, experience buffet) because you are afraid that the second person will eat from the experience buffet. Atmosphere of a train station hall, no service, typical mass eating stamp, this is about eating a lot without quality. Even the freshly cooked one was burnt, maybe they should hire a cook

The buffet had everything your heart could desire and everything was very, very tasty. The waitresses were neutral, not extremely friendly, not unfriendly. The price is of course impressive on a Sunday. I definitely enjoyed lunch.

32€ buffet per person is extremely expensive. I have to pay €17 for my child (5) even though she doesn't eat there at all. We definitely won't be coming back.

We decided to celebrate my wife’s birthday in a small circle, the atmosphere was generally good, seafood for every taste, a large selection of meat, cold beer, desserts, drinks, ice cream. I liked everything, but the price is too high in my opinion.

We always enjoyed going, but now we go very rarely. I don't think the price/performance ratio is quite right. Parking is also quite difficult. And if you sit there for longer than 2 hours you have to pay a surcharge of €3.00 for each additional hour.

So I think a few hundred euros would be possible to invest... Food is good, everything else is ok so far. 32€/person is just sporty, but you have to know for yourself.

There is a large selection at the buffet, the things from the grill take a while but there is a large selection of drinks. Everything I tried tasted good. The plates were cleared relatively quickly. Card payment is possible, but only at the exit.
