China Palace Ulm – highly recommended! A true family restaurant that lives up to its name – with heart, quality, and warmth. Three generations work together behind the counter: Grandma, Mom, and the children – and you can feel it in every detail. Friendly, attentive, and authentic. I'm usually more of a fan of Thai and Vietnamese cuisine, but the Chinese food here really surprised me: fresh, aromatic, fair prices, a wide selection, and everything prepared with love. I also like that the restaurant is entirely family-run. This adds a certain, unparalleled charm that you won't find anywhere else these days.

We've been coming to this restaurant regularly for years. The service is extremely friendly and polite. The food is freshly prepared and served hot. They keep an eye on our drinks and check in between if everything's okay. They know what we want to eat and drink by now, and taking our orders is practically mandatory. We've tried several Asian restaurants in and around Ulm, and we always enjoy our food here the best. Thank you very much!

The food was delicious! The family that runs this restaurant is very friendly and welcoming. The friendly server was patient with us, as we'd never been there before, which I really appreciate. I would come back just for his friendly manner. :) I really recommend the dumplings with the delicious sauce. You can tell the food is fresh and prepared with a lot of passion. I would definitely come again, even though I'm not from Ulm. They also had fish 😂

Complete Disappointment: Poor Service and Inedible Food We went to this Chinese restaurant for dinner with our family, hoping for a relaxing evening with good food. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing from start to finish—especially due to the behavior of the waiter who served us. After taking our order, he began packing the food into takeout containers without asking. When we told him we wanted to eat in and didn't want to take the food with us, he didn't say a single word. No apology, no attempt to resolve the situation, or even serve us the food on plates—just indifference. In the end, since everything was already packed, we took the food to go and ate it at home. Unfortunately, the disappointment continued: • The chicken noodles tasted strongly and unpleasantly of old, rancid oil. • The chicken cutlet was also inedible, with a sour aftertaste, almost like vinegar, in addition to the disgusting taste of fat. • The white rice with vegetables and chicken was clearly reheated; the vegetables were mushy, and the chicken was dry and flavorless. What should have been a pleasant and relaxing dinner turned into a frustrating and disappointing experience, both due to the service and the quality of the food. We will definitely not be returning and would not recommend the restaurant to anyone.

Super nice boss, great food, short waiting time. Been eating there for over 20 years, mostly by pickup. You can always rely on freshness and reliability. We also make it possible to get a table without a reservation if at all possible. The Peking duck is to die for! And the baked ice cream was a great ending.

The service is particularly friendly and very attentive. There should actually be one more star for that. But you go to a restaurant primarily to eat as well as possible. However, the food has already taken a while, which leads us to the conclusion that it is really freshly prepared. Unfortunately, the taste was very boring. I also enjoyed the Peking soup, which was praised several times, much better elsewhere. I found it bland and without any pizzazz. The chili paste only helps to a limited extent.

We were here for the first time today and will definitely come back! We came across it by chance. Here you can get authentic Chinese dishes upon request and sometimes in advance! Of course there is also something for the German palate! We had a set meal and were very satisfied. It tasted much better than what you are used to from other Chinese restaurants. The Peking soup alone, in others it is extremely sweet and hard to bite into, here there are large pieces of vegetables, a clearly visible egg, little sweetness and a developing spiciness. Really great! We were actually curious about the hot pot, but you should order it in advance. When we asked, we were offered to do it anyway. But we changed our minds due to time constraints. But that wasn't a mistake! Service is very friendly and requests are also taken into account. If you want to enjoy something real, you should definitely stop by!

A trip to China isn't that far... In a not so great environment there is a restaurant that takes you directly to China. No fusion cuisine and pagoda frills. The focus is on food. And the most important thing: the service! The boss and family serve so warmly and professionally that you have to look for a long time until you find something similar. You can tell that your whole heart is behind it. Thanks for that!! A classic Chinese menu with excellently prepared dishes. But not only! If you wish and book in advance, you can enjoy real Chinese food there. A QR code shows what there is to discover. And finally a special tip: The grandma of the house makes dumplings! Incredibly delicious! 100% recommended.

Very very tasty food A magical, nice service Unfortunately the ambience is not nice, it urgently needs to be renovated and sorted. There are four bottles of oil at the entrance that belong in the kitchen. It's a real shame because the food is really good

I ordered pork kung pao takeaway with extra garlic. The staff are friendly and the restaurant is clearly showing its age and needs renovation. It's a shame that a table in the middle of the dining room was converted into storage. That looks pretty messy. The food was very tasty and a large portion for a fair price. I will be happy to come back.

Unfortunately, I didn't like the curry with crispy chicken at all. It was completely bland, the sauce was like water. The chicken also only tasted like the batter and was relatively tasteless. The fresh vegetables and the friendly staff were positive.

A super good Chinese restaurant that has a special menu with typical dishes from China. These are not European but seasoned and prepared like in China. We really enjoyed these dishes. The atmosphere is very nice and the service is very friendly and attentive.

The food is simply great and in general it's really very cozy inside. I've never had better Peking soup than here. I can only recommend the Peking soup.

Da gibt es rein gar nichts auszusetzen und die, die das schlecht bewerten, sind wohl nur die, die eben chinesisches Essen nicht schätzen. Frisches chinesisches Essen vom Feinsten ist genau das, was es dort gibt. Der Service ist umwerfend freundlich und herzlich. Ein schönes und gemütliches Chinarestaurant mit gutem Essen und erstklassigem Service. Wir hatten noch nie auch nur das Geringste auszusetzen und werden mit viel Freude auch weiterhin dort zum Essen gehen (auch bei 40 Kilometer Anfahrt immer lohnenswert). Ein Rat für alle Garnelenfans: 135 - Tit Pan-Hummerkrabben mit Ingwer, Lauchzwiebel gebraten nach China-Art. Das ist einfach nur göttlich aber auch alle anderen Tit Pan-Gerichte sind Spitze. Meine Frau steht auf die Ente und die ist auch einfach nur perfekt. Bleibt so und wir werden Euch ewig die Treue halten!

Ein Lokal wo man herzlich empfangen wird. Das Lokal ist einfach eingerichtet, also kein schnick schnack, aber das Essen ist super lecker. Kann ich gut empfehlen.

The best Chinese food I have ever had! I am from England, UK and you just can't get food that good over here! My husband used to live nearby, so when I first spent time in Germany, he took me here often. We recently returned for a visit, and our first stop was China Palast! Food was as amazing as we remember. (Frühlingsrolle was absolutely delicious!!!) Owners are the nicest people, so friendly. Fantastic service and beautifully presented fresh food. I wish we could visit weekly! Next time we're back in Germany, we'll definitely be visiting again!

In Zeiten von industriell anmutenden Asia-Buffets und trendigen Franchise-Lokalen lobe ich mir solch ein familiengeführtes Restaurant mit persönlicher Note und total freundlichem Service. Das Essen ist klassisch eingedeutscht und angenehm gewürzt. Und die originalen Spezialitäten auf Vorbestellung muss man echt mal probiert haben. Meine neue Topadresse für chinesisches Essen in Ulm.

Sehr nette Chefin und gutes chinesisches Essen. Der Mittagstisch ist sehr empfehlenswert. Preislich passt es auch. Man kann hier gut Essen zum mitnehmen bestellen.

Es gibt (unter anderem) authentisches chinesisches Essen. Das Personal ist super freundlich und das Essen schmeckt lecker. Wir sind bei schönem Wetter vorne draußen gesessen.

Essen war sehr gut und frisch auf Sonderwünsche wurden schnell und freundlich erfüllt.Wir hatten Menü mit Rindfleisch und Ente im Menü war Frühlingsrolle und als Nachtisch gebackene Bananen. Zu zweit mit Getränken 43 € bezahlt war jeden Cent werden. Selten so gut chinesisch gesehen. Personal sehr nett und höflich. Macht weiter so wir kommen gerne wieder wenn wir in Ulm sind. Die Qualität der angebotenen Gerichte waren lecker. Besonders die Originalen Gerichte sind sehr zu empfehlen. Die Zeit im China Palast habe ich ausgesprochen genossen und ich kann dieses Restaurant nur wärmsten empfehlen.

Essen schmeckt sehr, sehr 👍, knusprige Ente, Nr. 132 auf der Karte. Knoblauchsoße, Gemüse. Freundlich bedient. Mandy ist eine herzliche Inhaberin. Wir fühlen uns dort fantastisch. Nicht umsonst ist das Restaurant voller Gäste. Kommen immer wieder gerne!

Plastik Tischdecke sorgt für ungemütliche Stimmung

Gibt es schon seid über 20 Jahren. Familienbetrieb. Mega nettes Personal. Essen ok. Das einzige ist es könnte etwas renoviert werden ist wirklich in die Jahre gekommen. Und was auch auffällig war ist man könnte den Boden wie die Plätze und die Trennwände mal wieder sauber machen.
