I got the tip from a young woman from Ulm, and we weren't disappointed. Superb service—nice, friendly, and attentive. The food was also very well seasoned and delicious. The appetizer arrived beautifully presented and incredibly fast. We'll definitely be back! 👍🤩😊

Absolutely fine, good food, OK ambiance, OK service, but something was missing to make it "perfect" and exceptional. For example: It was relatively chilly (October), yet the entrance door was still wide open, uncomfortably wide. Then there was a kind of mix between "take-out" and "well, it's a real restaurant," somewhere in between. But the food is good, and you won't be disappointed. The selection is OK, and the friendliness is good, too. Just to repeat, the final touch to make it 5-star is missing.

I was very satisfied with my visit to China Wok in Ulm! The Peking soup was truly delicious—nicely seasoned and served hot. The fried noodles with chicken were perfectly seasoned, the meat tender, and the portions generous. Friendly service, and everything was quick. I'll definitely be back!

Ordered via Lieferando. Unfortunately, neither the sushi nor the roast duck were tasty. Duck for €20, and then only seven small slices. Everything was dry and underseasoned. A real shame, especially given the good reviews.

There were three of us, and we waited almost 90 minutes for our food. The ambiance, halfway under construction, the tiles on one side, and the table layout looked worse than a company cafeteria. We also got a €30 parking ticket for waiting too long. The only good thing was the food itself. I won't go there again, though.

Although the food is delicious, you still have to wait around 2 hours for your food, while others came later and their food arrived at the table within 15 minutes.

Unfortunately, it no longer has its former charm. There's a tarpaulin hanging at the entrance, it looks like they're not finished yet. The chairs were very dirty. When we came in, we asked for a high chair; I would have carried it to our table myself. The employee offered to bring the chair, but he must have had to finish his conversation before he could. It's annoying when you have a hungry toddler with you, especially since I had offered to bring the chair myself. Then my order was taken incorrectly, and when I complained, they just said, "That's what you ordered." My husband and I are sure, though, that I ordered the right thing. At least they offered to make it again, but with two small children at the table, I didn't have the patience for that. The food itself was OK, but no revelation, although I do think almost €18 for a bowl is a bit of a stretch. We used to love going to China Wok, even with the kids, but this was probably our last visit there.

I was in the public holiday and I cannot tell that the order come was very fast. In fact the food was delivered very very hard…>45 minutes…even the place doesn’t was so cloudy. Even is a Chinese restaurant the price are not different by other classics restaurants and portions are so so.

I ordered duck with noodles and sauce – what was delivered was just the meat and the noodles, completely dry. When I asked, all they said was, "Next time, the sauce is free." What kind of solution is that? Should I just eat the dry food as it is and drink the sauce straight next time? Completely lost. No resupply, no refund, no concessions. Customer service at an all-time low.

Once great, now unfortunately disappointing We were loyal customers for years, even after the change of ownership. At first, everything was good. The taste and service were excellent. Unfortunately, the quality of the food and service has noticeably declined. In a recent pickup order, two extra hot sauces were charged €1 each, but weren't included. A small issue, but simply annoying – especially since it wasn't the first time something was missing. It's a shame, but we hope things will improve.

We had a really great lunch there. A balanced menu, including vegetarian dishes. Very friendly service!

This is the fourth time I've ordered something extra - and it hasn't been delivered yet again. This is slowly no longer an oversight, but simply poor service. Unfortunately the taste wasn't convincing either - disappointing overall. I won't order here again.

Went there for dinner with a larger group. The food was very tasty and was prepared quickly. The portions were totally sufficient to fill you up. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The homemade iced teas are also recommended.

I ordered and picked up Grade 2 sauces, I do that all the time in this store. I asked that the containers be full and said that the money didn't matter. There was a young guy on the phone talking down to you, I didn't think anything of it. When the sauces were ready, I saw the containers were smaller and not full. Then he also wanted more money than usual. When I asked why, the answer was that he had paid more and therefore more money. Man, I buy these sauces there all the time, but to be lied to so blatantly is crazy. Therefore I will never get anything there again and will of course pass this on.

Unfortunately, I didn't have a good experience at the China Wok. We had to wait forever until we even got tickets, then my partner was served his food well before me, about 10 minutes. The food was average, too expensive for the price. And at the end I had to wait another 30 minutes for dessert. That really doesn't work at all. We won't be coming back.

We went out to eat recently and had sweet and sour chicken. There was really hardly any sauce or vegetables included, considering the prices were extremely high. I would therefore prefer another restaurant where cooking is still done with love and, above all, no SPAR dish is served.

Been there twice, was so impressed the first time, would have easily given 5 stars for everything. The second time the same food I ordered looked different. Nothing was done other than apologizing. Service staff was still nice. But he said the bosses had the day off and there were two other sushi chefs there. Well, what can I say. I was very very disappointed.

We were spontaneously in Ulm and were looking for a nice restaurant where we could eat sushi. The food was really tasty and the service was really nice. €45 for a sushi platter for two people is great. We will definitely like to go there again.

The Thai soup was very good! Service was quick and friendly. Ambiance is ok so far... very dark. Unfortunately the toilet was very narrow and not clean!!

Really nice location, friendly and fast service - but with around 5 guests you could have walked around more often. The only drawback to the ambience - the smell of chlorine comes into the restaurant from the kitchen. It's a shame, but I would still come back!

The food is good, but the service is a complete disaster, just to pick it up you just let people stand around for 15 minutes, even though the waitress is standing around right next to you!!! When spoken to, they say “just a moment please” and continue to stand around and look into the air?! I have rarely seen such an arrogant, ignorant team. No go!

The restaurant itself is very nicely decorated. But unfortunately there are negative reviews about the food and service. There was a large piece of an eggshell in my food, I brought that up. There was no apology for this and I had to pay full price for it. I find this behavior very disrespectful and unfair.

Food was good and plentiful (some of it very well salted though; I'll point out less salt next time). Service friendly. The seat cushions of the chairs are partly stained (points deducted for the ambience and food).

The staff is unfriendly & demotivated - at least when someone comes at all. The food tastes like it's from the all-you-can-eat buffet around the corner (so in itself it's OK) but I don't have to wait 40 minutes for my main course and pay overpriced prices By the way, I don't know fried gyoza either. It makes no sense to leave your money there. The location itself is beautifully decorated.

The two of us had dinner today! Staff not exactly friendly! We ordered a sushi platter as a starter and crispy duck as a main course At the beginning there was a bottle of water with only one glass! We had to request the second glass after 5 minutes! Then came the duck (instead of the sushi starter) Duck was far from crispy! When we were almost finished with the duck, the sushi arrived! No excuses! I won't be going there again any time soon! Quality: duck and sushi so-so!

So sorry. We were looking forward to a nice dinner with the family, but apparently this restaurant has no customer service. The waiter took forever to take the order. No card payment possible. Apparently you had to use the day to be able to work past the tax authorities. And the atmosphere has nothing to do with coziness. But the food was good. However, I wouldn't dine there again.

I visit this establishment as a family, have been here twice. I liked everything, the survey and the food.

We have eaten at China Wok Ulm several times now and have been absolutely impressed with the taste every time. For us the best address in Ulm when it comes to sushi and Asian dishes in general. No matter whether soup, sushi, other starters or main courses. Everything tasted very authentic, fresh and totally delicious. When you're eating, you can tell who's cooking in the kitchen. Big praise! But just convince yourself. Price-performance ratio is absolutely right here. Our only criticism concerns the ambience. Overall, we would describe the atmosphere as definitely louder and more hectic. There are places where you can definitely keep to yourself, but that's not the rule. Overall, we turn a blind eye to this because the food is absolutely convincing and the atmosphere somehow fits in here and is authentic.

I used it when I visited Germany at the end of the year. Many stores were closed for the Christmas holiday. It was very helpful to be able to have lunch there. There weren't many people using it, but it seems like it's usually lively. The food also came out piping hot. Although it is Chinese food, the taste is also suitable for Japanese people. It was easy to eat and even the kids ate it up. The staff were very friendly and helped me decide what to eat. It took a while, but they were happy to wait.

Everyone was immediately helpful, very, very friendly, and got seats straight away and could order something. The food came very quickly and was simply mega, mega tasty! Very fresh! Fantastic!!! I recently had dinner in the restaurant and everything was excellent. I ordered today. Instead of tom kha gai (for china wok it's called a little differently) I ordered with prawns. Which isn't a bad thing. It costs 1 euro more. Unfortunately this time the taste was very bland and there was only 1 shrimp in the soup. The vegetarian spring rolls weren't that good either. May be due to the transport route.

Very friendly staff, with very tasty food, I was here a few years ago and it didn't look nearly as good, the change in ownership has done the shop good. The prices are in the higher category, but it is very tasty and worth it. The sushi offering could be a little more varied, but if you specialize in a handful and master them, that's commendable. This has been one of my favorite restaurants since I was a child. When I was hungry, this restaurant was always my first thought and I also went to this restaurant with friends or as a date. The food still tastes very good today, but unfortunately the prices are no longer affordable. Now that I'm a student, I simply can't afford to eat here anymore. In other restaurants I can get comparable food for less money. This restaurant used to be like a diner and I loved it - traditional and made with love. Today, however, the restaurant has changed a lot. Everything has to be extremely beautiful and fancy, pop music is playing, and the entire ambience feels more like a trend. I don't like this change from traditional style to a modern, trendy concept at all. It was the last time I ate here and I have to say with inner sadness that I won't be eating here again. It would be unfair to say the restaurant is bad - I definitely recommend it. However, the new style simply no longer suits my taste and I can no longer understand the prices despite inflation. And a small complaint by the way. In my opinion, one of the non-Asian waiters who has joined since the reopening is not very friendly and not very flexible. I often get a rather annoyed impression. Once there seemed to be no free tables left, he told me, then another waitress who had been working there for years came and still took us to a table that was probably reserved for much later. We ate and paid and the people who reserved the table didn't get in our way (example of flexibility).

The food was good, the service, if possible, 0 stars. Ordered food for 91 euros, picked it up and noticed at home that two dishes (approx. 13 euros) were missing. My wife was told very rudely on the phone that my colleague had packed everything. So the customer is accused of lying, thank you and never again.

Time to say goodbye: I've been a customer at China-Wok for over 20 years, but today was my last visit there. The prices are simply a disgrace. I paid 13.90 for fried rice with vegetables to take away. Even if the renovation was really successful, it's not worth it. Also because the quality today unfortunately does not come close to what it was in the past. My wife had a dish with beef that was unfortunately gristly and not edible. The rest was probably okay, but not what it used to be. That's why I'm saying goodbye to the Chinese wok today, which is probably a bigger loss for me, but so be it.
