So sorry. We were looking forward to a nice dinner with the family, but apparently this restaurant has no customer service. The waiter took forever to take the order. No card payment possible. Apparently you had to use the day to be able to work past the tax authorities. And the atmosphere has nothing to do with coziness. But the food was good. However, I wouldn't dine there again.

I visit this establishment as a family, have been here twice. I liked everything, the survey and the food.

We have eaten at China Wok Ulm several times now and have been absolutely impressed with the taste every time. For us the best address in Ulm when it comes to sushi and Asian dishes in general. No matter whether soup, sushi, other starters or main courses. Everything tasted very authentic, fresh and totally delicious. When you're eating, you can tell who's cooking in the kitchen. Big praise! But just convince yourself. Price-performance ratio is absolutely right here. Our only criticism concerns the ambience. Overall, we would describe the atmosphere as definitely louder and more hectic. There are places where you can definitely keep to yourself, but that's not the rule. Overall, we turn a blind eye to this because the food is absolutely convincing and the atmosphere somehow fits in here and is authentic.

I used it when I visited Germany at the end of the year. Many stores were closed for the Christmas holiday. It was very helpful to be able to have lunch there. There weren't many people using it, but it seems like it's usually lively. The food also came out piping hot. Although it is Chinese food, the taste is also suitable for Japanese people. It was easy to eat and even the kids ate it up. The staff were very friendly and helped me decide what to eat. It took a while, but they were happy to wait.

By far the best sushi I've ever eaten, nice staff and the order came very quickly despite special requests, I'd be happy to return! 😊

We were there on December 31, 2024 without a reservation. Ambience super gigantic, modern, beautiful!!!. Everyone was immediately helpful, very, very friendly, and got seats straight away and could order something. The food came very quickly and was simply mega, mega tasty! Very fresh! Fantastic!!! We would love to come back... Thank you so much for everything!!! You are really great!!!!

The China Wok in Ulm impresses with Chinese cuisine, fresh ingredients and a large selection of classics. The service is friendly, the portions are generous and the price is good value for money. A clear recommendation!

It was okay...too adapted to European palates - The Pad Thai was not very authentic and mild to barely seasoned and generally had little taste. I can't say anything about the sushi. Ordered to go.

Small restaurant, great service, no waiting time and the best thing is the food! A favorite dish is the dragon fire, with a spicy, slightly spicy homemade sauce. It's also great that the restaurant is open all the time. Highly recommended.

I recently had dinner in the restaurant and everything was excellent. I ordered today. Instead of tom kha gai (for china wok it's called a little differently) I ordered with prawns. Which isn't a bad thing. It costs 1 euro more. Unfortunately this time the taste was very bland and there was only 1 shrimp in the soup. The vegetarian spring rolls weren't that good either. May be due to the transport route.

This has been one of my favorite restaurants since I was a child. When I was hungry, this restaurant was always my first thought and I also went to this restaurant with friends or as a date. The food still tastes very good today, but unfortunately the prices are no longer affordable. Now that I'm a student, I simply can't afford to eat here anymore. In other restaurants I can get comparable food for less money. This restaurant used to be like a diner and I loved it - traditional and made with love. Today, however, the restaurant has changed a lot. Everything has to be extremely beautiful and fancy, pop music is playing, and the entire ambience feels more like a trend. I don't like this change from traditional style to a modern, trendy concept at all. It was the last time I ate here and I have to say with inner sadness that I won't be eating here again. It would be unfair to say the restaurant is bad - I definitely recommend it. However, the new style simply no longer suits my taste and I can no longer understand the prices despite inflation. And a small complaint by the way. In my opinion, one of the non-Asian waiters who has joined since the reopening is not very friendly and not very flexible. I often get a rather annoyed impression. Once there seemed to be no free tables left, he told me, then another waitress who had been working there for years came and still took us to a table that was probably reserved for much later. We ate and paid and the people who reserved the table didn't get in our way (example of flexibility).

Very friendly staff, with very tasty food, I was here a few years ago and it didn't look nearly as good, the change in ownership has done the shop good. The prices are in the higher category, but it is very tasty and worth it. The sushi offering could be a little more varied, but if you specialize in a handful and master them, that's commendable. I'd be happy to come back :)

Propaply the best fried chicken and rice what I'we had in past 10 years. Friendly service and nice and tidy place. Superb sushi, definitely place to visit if you are keen to Chinese cuisine.

Time to say goodbye: I've been a customer at China-Wok for over 20 years, but today was my last visit there. The prices are simply a disgrace. I paid 13.90 for fried rice with vegetables to take away. Even if the renovation was really successful, it's not worth it. Also because the quality today unfortunately does not come close to what it was in the past. My wife had a dish with beef that was unfortunately gristly and not edible. The rest was probably okay, but not what it used to be. That's why I'm saying goodbye to the Chinese wok today, which is probably a bigger loss for me, but so be it.

The food was good, the service, if possible, 0 stars. Ordered food for 91 euros, picked it up and noticed at home that two dishes (approx. 13 euros) were missing. My wife was told very rudely on the phone that my colleague had packed everything. So the customer is accused of lying, thank you and never again.

I cycled 85 km there just for the summer rolls with shrimp and chicken and a cold mountain beer. And then a Szechuan plate afterwards. Simply great.

The location is great. Easy to reach and very central. The ambience is really a delight and the music in the background makes the room feel much more pleasant. The food: I ordered rice with peanut sauce with tofu and vegetables. It tasted very good, both the sauce and the vegetables with tofu were very tasty. There were even small pieces of peanuts in the sauce which brought out the nutty taste. The service was nice and polite but nothing more than that.

Incredibly tasty soups. We tried Kunfu soup and Chinese with duck, fresh, tasty and moderately spicy. The facility is cozy and without extraneous odors. There is one minus - there are no hand towels in the toilet

Overall a good restaurant. The food came fast and the atmosphere is pleasant. I would recommend picking a rice dish instead of noodle dish, si ce the rice was very well made. Cocktails were also great.

The food is beautifully prepared, but unfortunately I personally wasn't impressed with the sushi (wasabi is unfortunately much too dry and the ginger was unfortunately saved on). In my opinion the prices are a bit too high. I won't come by again. Unfortunately, accessibility at the entrance is limited.

A nice Far Eastern restaurant, the duck noodles I ate were very good. Among the sushi, I found the classic California roll bland. But on the contrary, the shrimp tempura roll was very nice. Weekdays are generally quiet and prices are average.

You call to order food to take away and when you arrive there, you have to place your order again and only then will your food be prepared. In addition, they have been there for more than 10 years but the language barrier has remained the same as the Great Wall of China. The food would taste great if they prepared it too.

Great restaurant on Frauenstrasse. We ate sushi and it was very tasty. The prices are a little above average but the sushi is correspondingly large. We were definitely very full.

Our new favorite Asian restaurant on Saturday lunchtime. The ambience is very pleasant, not too overwhelming, beautiful wall decoration, subtle industrial design with an Asian touch. The staff is super nice. The food is fresh, tasty and a good portion. Special requests are implemented perfectly.

The portion was too small when I picked it up, I couldn't get enough for €14.90 (a handful of rice, and 2 tiny breaded chicken fillets, and separately the sauce with vegetables). I would post a photo, but somehow it doesn't work... My wife had a hair in her food, it can happen, but it shouldn't. Unfortunately, you only notice it when you pick it up when you get home with the food. We used to eat there often, and the portions were good, and there were no beard hairs in the food. Staff is very friendly!

I would have rated this restaurant a five, if not only for their rude waiter. The Asian employees there were all so accommodating except for this one employee, which im gonna guess is Arabic or Turkish (not being racist here, just to clarify). And yes, im specifying which one JUST IN CASE HE READS THIS 🙄 Not only was he rude to us, but I would often catch him rolling his eyes after tending to their other customers. Like seriously? Professionalism where??? Besides that, food was good. Even though it's a bit pricey, I would still recommend trying here. Especially their "China Wok special sushi 18."

The food doesn't taste bad, but more like a fast food joint. Toilets are dirty. Preparation takes a long time even though there are hardly any guests in the restaurant.

Das Essen war nicht sehr schmackhaft, ich bestellte Lachs mit Gemüse und Reis, es war geschmacklos. Die Cocktails waren überhaupt nicht lecker. Ich bestellte einen Cocktail mit Cola ohne Zucker, zuerst brachten sie ihn mit Sprite, und dann mit Cola mit Zucker. Es ist schwer, Aperol zu verderben, aber sie haben es geschafft. Also ist es wahrscheinlich besser, Bier oder Wein zu wählen. Vielleicht hatten wir einfach nur Pech, aber ich werde auf keinen Fall noch einmal hingehen.

Schönes neues Ambiente (noch kleine Baustellen vorhanden), Service sehr nett jedoch zu selten am Tisch gewesen. Essen war lecker, die Brühe der pho Suppe dürfte gerne etwas stärker vom Geschmack her sein. Alles in allem ein gutes Restaurant mit schöner neuen und modernen Inneneinrichtung & Speisekarte, hat jedoch noch Luft nach oben.

Essen hat gut geschmeckt, kam auch relativ schnell. Bedienung war nett. Hat alles gepasst. Preise etwas erhöht.
