Today, on Taco Tuesday, we ordered two portions of tacos for takeout. Upon inquiring over the phone, we were told that the 20% Taco Tuesday discount didn't apply to pickup orders. However, there was a 10% pickup discount. We paid upon pickup and then checked the online menu again at home. We paid the regular price; neither the 10% pickup discount nor the 20% Taco Tuesday discount was applied. This is bordering on fraud and demonstrates employee incompetence. Please revise your Taco Tuesday discount policy, as it's not clear anywhere that it doesn't apply to pickup orders. We picked up the tacos on time and opened them at home less than five minutes later. Everything was soggy and mushy. You couldn't eat them without a fork or spoon. The meat in both the beef and Apollo tacos was very tough. The food was usually much better in the restaurant. Although the service there was sometimes slow. We won't be going back anytime soon.

I was there for a Day of the Dead celebration and the DJ played more English music than Latin music, which isn't very in line with what you'd expect from a Day of the Dead party.

I wouldn't recommend it. The meat in the taco was tasteless, dry, and salty. I took one bite and didn't want any more, nor did I want another order. What was the point? I ended up eating dinner at home. I've never tasted such a bad taco, to the point where I couldn't eat it, and it's the first time I've left a restaurant unable to eat there. A good taco is usually juicy, oily, with salsa dripping down your hand when you bite into it. It has flavor, seasoning, and tender meat, with the side condiments to suit everyone's taste. That's what I consider a good thing. I tried my partner's meal, and it tasted more like Thai-style chicken than Mexican food. It was okay, though; at least he and another person were able to eat something. The beef taco my friend ordered was incredibly tough. I don't think it's normal to serve food like that, so we won't be back, and obviously, we didn't order dessert. The only thing I liked were the Mexican sodas they have from Jarritos; I highly recommend the mango one. But be warned: if you've already tried Mexican food, it's best not to come to this restaurant, or the other Mexican restaurant in town. You'll be very disappointed with both.

We spontaneously went there for dinner at 5 p.m. on a Saturday evening and got a table without any problems. The service was extremely friendly and attentive. The food was absolutely enormous. A return visit to Hombre was unfortunately abysmal. The steak, which was ordered medium rare, was almost cooked and oversalted, and the grilled vegetables also tasted of salt. The food was returned, and the chef explained that he could cook the steak either rare or medium; medium rare was not possible. My girlfriend then decided not to eat it. My shrimp fajitas were okay, but the seasoning was skimped on. The presentation was nice, but overall it tasted bland. We had to wait over half an hour each time for drinks, even though the place wasn't full. One waiter even gave us a shot on the house as compensation. The biggest shocker came with the bill. According to the waiter, the chef didn't want to credit the steak at all, since we ate a piece of it; it was simply cut in half and a strip tasted. We had to pay for the grilled vegetables, even though we returned them, as we had supposedly eaten half of them, which was definitely not true. The fajitas, listed on the menu as €24.50, were charged €25.50! We won't be seeing this place again; you shouldn't let yourself be fooled! I'm taking back the 4 stars; I wouldn't give it any stars at all, but unfortunately that's not possible. On July 29, I visited Hombre again with my girlfriend. The staff was friendly and the steaks were delicious. The toxic green melon liqueur is also very interesting. Unfortunately, my girlfriend had to wait half an hour for her caipirinha, so she had to take it to go, as she would have missed her bus otherwise. It's a shame. Nevertheless, I'm increasing the rating by one star. Unfortunately, our food was forgotten. After an hour and a half, we asked for it, and then it took another half hour. The food was good, but my steak, which I ordered medium rare, was almost cooked. The staff was okay, but no one knew about my reservation, which I had made via Facebook. The food selection isn't all that extensive. There are only three wines: white, rosé, and red.

The staff was friendly, the drinks were good. The food, unfortunately, was not; we've never had such bad pulled pork. The tacos were rubbery, the meat inedible and poor quality. The salad had little flavor, unfortunately, as was the case several times. The food was lukewarm, and the price-performance ratio was not justified.

We've been there many times now and have enjoyed delicious meals. The food always tastes excellent. Guests are always greeted and warmly welcomed. They often ask if you'd like something to drink, which was especially important this summer. I, for example, love these burgers; they taste incredibly delicious and are very tasty and juicy. I highly recommend them. We visit Hombre at least once or twice a month and are always impressed. Pictures speak louder than words.

Today after the stadtfest we went to eat, the place was full but it surprised me that even though it was full, the service was quite friendly and the food arrived in less than 15 min after the drinks, we ordered a medium steak that was perfect and the tacos (barbacoa tacos and shrimps taco) also were very tasty and the presentation was outstanding. I also loved the atmosphere and the vibe at the place. I highly recommend it. Overall, delicious and well-presented food, friendly service, good drinks and cozy atmosphere.

I've had the pleasure of eating at Hombre many times or ordering takeaway for home, and I've never been disappointed. The food has been top-notch every time. I can only recommend it!☺️

We were there on a Wednesday and immediately took advantage of the all-you-can-drink offer with mojitos. We didn't have to wait long for drinks and food. The interior is cozy and welcoming, making you feel immediately at home. We will definitely be back 🤗

We ordered from Hombre via UBER Eats and the total value of our food was over €150!! Not only did the food take over an hour to arrive, the burrito was completely seasoned, the chicken, rice, and vegetables had the most bland taste I've ever had, and on top of that, the pulled beef on the nachos was drier than a load of hay. The tacos were also so soft they completely fell apart. So, definitely not ordering delivery again. It might be much better locally, but for the price, you expect something much better. The delivery concept MUST be revised, possibly in consultation with our partner UBER. As a side note, the food arrived cold in Lieferando boxes (the temperature of the food is, of course, the fault of the delivery person).

We had quesadillas and sweet potato fries and both were okay. Drinks were good, although very sweet. Service was very friendly. Ambiance was a bit very cliched with plastic plants, decorative skeletons and pillows and wall hangings with skull motifs. The menu had grease stains. It was also a little cool in the room.

Best Mexican I've had in Germany in years.It's still not comparable to West Coast USA mexican Restaurant, but considering the difficulty in getting ingredients, they did an awesome job. We were seated around the corner in the winter garden, and our host forgot about us... but we were able to pay while leaving, so no foul.

Unfortunately, my last visit was a bitter disappointment. After a long wait of 30 minutes, I was only told when I asked that the coffee machine was defective. Why not inform guests earlier or offer an alternative? It can't be that the machine has been broken for so long and no one has found a solution. Very annoying and not customer friendly!

Phew. I don't even know where to start. First something positive. The atmosphere at Hombre is very stylish. I also really like the outside decoration. The bartender does a great job too. The cocktails were really tasty. In principle, that was it. The service and food was poor. Everyone else's food at the table was brought to the table 10 minutes after they ordered. Unfortunately, my dish only arrived lukewarm 17 minutes later. The quality of the food is completely subpar with a few exceptions. It took about 30-40 minutes to reorder the drinks. So the enjoyment of drinking diminished pretty quickly. When I paid, I thought to myself “Oh come on, everyone can have a bad day.” and still gave some tip for which there wasn't even a "thank you". In the future I will visit the Mexican competition in Schweinfurt again. A lovely convivial evening was unfortunately overshadowed by the Hombre.

Unfortunately, my visit to this restaurant was not as enjoyable as I had hoped. The waitress seemed bad-tempered and stressed, which made the atmosphere a bit uncomfortable. We also had to wait about an hour and a half for our food, which was really too long. When the food finally came, some parts of our order were missing as the waitress apparently forgot to write everything down. I hope this was just a one off incident as I would like the service and atmosphere to be better in the future.

Even though we had a reservation and arrived just ten minutes early due to light traffic, we were not allowed to be seated. Instead, we were curtly told, "You're too early." Once we were finally seated, the delays were unacceptable. We placed our order promptly but ended up waiting an excruciating hour and a half for our food. Considering the simplicity of the dishes, it’s hard to understand why it took so long. When I ordered an ensalada—pronouncing it in Spanish—the waiter claimed, "We don’t have that." I had to show her the item on the menu to clarify. Even worse, when the food finally arrived, one item was missing because the waiter forgot to write it down. This mistake caused yet another delay. The drinks and food were served in a rushed, almost dismissive manner, which made us feel unwelcome throughout the meal. We chose this restaurant hoping for a warm atmosphere, good drinks, and enjoyable food. Unfortunately, the poor service completely ruined the experience and fell far short of our expectations. I strongly suggest that management take steps to improve their service standards. Staff should be better trained in professionalism, attentiveness, and customer care. It’s essential to create a more welcoming environment for guests. Our evening could have been much more enjoyable if we had received better service

We ate there on our anniversary and were even able to select “date” when making the online reservation. This resulted in us being seated at the middle of three two-person tables in an almost completely empty restaurant. Actually we were a group of 6 people because the tables were almost edge to edge. The waitress gave the whole thing something of a rustic village pub (in this case not meant in a positive way) by not making the effort to greet and serve her guests individually, but rather shouting loudly “you can all just listen” and giving us the daily menu and other information “Group” shared. As it became clear shortly afterwards with the next couple who arrived, it would have made little sense to ask for another table because their request was simply rejected. The furnishings seemed quite cheap and in some places the decorations looked homemade (again, not a compliment). The taste of the food was okay, but the side dishes were quite unevenly distributed among the individual dishes. While the tacos were only filled with meat and some onions and a little lettuce, the fajitas came with tons of vegetables that you could never have eaten. The assumption that the vegetables in question would be for both dishes was obvious, but was wrong because the neighboring table also had tacos, which were just as sparsely topped, but no other vegetables in sight. It was easy to see because we were basically sitting shoulder to shoulder. The whole thing wasn't really worth it.

Yesterday the three of us had dinner with our son. The sauce in my husband's dish was completion, which was just way too "thick". I had fries for €4.20 with my burger. The quantity of these was disproportionate to the price. Our son's buritos were good, but unfortunately the price-performance ratio wasn't right here either. The atmosphere was really nice, but actually too expensive for the service provided.

Hello, I just ordered something via Uber and found a hair in the food. Wasn't that appetizing...

"Next time we'll go back to the Asian place." - we were able to overhear this sentence at the next table and unfortunately we have to agree with it in essence. Even though the reservation over the phone worked well, we didn't have any fond memories of the actual visit to the restaurant. Food: We received our food 1.5 hours after ordering. And unfortunately it wasn't convincing. The fries were definitely finished and on top of that (before the complaint) they were completely soggy. The replacement was then in the deep fryer long enough. In terms of taste, they were the absolute standard, typical standard frozen fries from the deep fryer with salt. The dips, on the other hand, were very good, but unfortunately they were the only thing that really had any taste. Both the corn on the cob and the burritos tasted very bland, almost tasteless - which is why it was interesting that a review just 6 days ago mentioned that the burritos were oversalted. The portions as such were very large, but we would all have preferred less if it had tasted better. Regarding the service: The staff tried hard, but unfortunately were completely overwhelmed. In addition to the fact that not only we, but also the surrounding tables had to wait forever for the food, something that we hadn't ordered was delivered, taken away again and ultimately billed anyway. In the first half hour we were still asked if everything was okay - unfortunately the idea that two hours later the drinks might be empty didn't occur to anyone. Concrete criticism of the food was not questioned, but was dismissed with the deadpan argument of "lack of staff" and ultimately ignored - or the soggy fries were actually taken away, but the replacement only came 30 minutes later - when we had actually already finished eating. All in all, a rather sobering visit to the restaurant. It's nice that reservations etc. went smoothly, but as a Mexican in Schweinfurt I can now recommend the Chumbos with a much better conscience than the Hombre. It was worth a try, but unfortunately we can't understand the numerous good reviews at this point.

We were at Hombre with a group of four. The food was tasty and well prepared. Our waitress (the oldest lady) apparently had a bad day and dealt with us very briefly and not very sympathetically. When asked whether you can change the dip in a dish, there was a rather stroppy and energetic short lecture about why you can't pursue your wish. But okay, so be it. Cashed in and then a younger employee who was very friendly and accommodating. (The other lady was now off work) She also very kindly explained to us that the discount advertised for students on the website was no longer offered. She apologized 2-3 times for it and was visibly uncomfortable (I think this situation happens often) that her boss apparently doesn't want to remove it. I think we'll come back because the food was delicious. But the false advertising and the stroppy employee at the beginning leave a bad aftertaste.

The three of us were recently in the restaurant and can give positive feedback, especially about the food. This was our third time there because we wanted to give the restaurant one last chance (the other two times were quite soon after it opened). The food tastes really good now! However - like the drinks - they are a bit more expensive compared to other Mexican restaurants. We had the fajitas de pollo, a burger and burritos. The service seemed quite cool, but was still friendly. The ambience is appealing. All in all we were very satisfied and would come there again.

Without exaggeration, Hombre is one of the best Mexican restaurants here in Schweinfurt and the surrounding area. The dishes and drinks are not only incredibly tasty, but also prepared with a lot of love and beautifully presented. The service was very warm and attentive, which made me immediately feel at home. Added to this is the lively and inviting atmosphere, which made the evening simply perfect. Overall, a restaurant that I can highly and warmly recommend.

Went to Hombre Essen again yesterday. After many good experiences, this time we unfortunately fell for it. We didn't make a reservation, but got a table outside because there was still a lot available. The first drinks arrived after about 15 minutes, but it took about 40 minutes before we could order food. At that time, about 10 other guests who came after us had already placed their orders. Unfortunately we sat outside at the table in the middle, which was pretty much ignored. The service staff always walked around the outside and skillfully ignored us until I intercepted someone. Then we were finally able to order. We also each received a liqueur as a small compensation, but it didn't do anything for me. At some point after almost 2 hours we got the food. My wife and daughter liked it, but unfortunately I didn't. The Taco Pollo wasn't anything great. On top of that, my wife's limo was missing the mangoes that were supposed to be in it. Well, there was something wrong with it yesterday. Since we have already experienced it differently, at least 3 stars, although it would actually have been 0 for yesterday evening. By the way, the location itself is really beautiful.

The burrito was tasteless and consisted mostly of unseasoned chicken with traces of zucchini rice and peppers. The tacos for 17 euros were a disgrace, three tacos with around 50g of dry pulled pork per taco, nothing else. Sauces not good either. The salad was also very bland and bland. I would advise against it. This is neither good nor Mexican.

Overall the restaurant has a very good atmosphere. The food was served very quickly and the staff was very understanding and helpful. We had fajitas and tacos, very tasty and good quantity on the plates. Barbecue ribs are also a must. We will be back soon!

The restaurant is really beautiful and colorful. Unfortunately, some of the waitresses are quite unfriendly. We had reserved, but didn't get the table in the room we wanted. The food is fresh, but the taste is no more than OK, but the Mexican in Würzburg is way better. What we personally found worst (and was actually the main reason for our visit) was that there was no student discount according to the staff, even though it was communicated that way on the website. Unfortunately we won't be coming again.

We got a table outside in the garden on Tuesday evening at short notice and without a reservation. The vegetarian tortillas and homemade soda were good. Only the waitress was probably having a bad day and was quite grumpy.

Rarely eaten so un-Mexican! We each had the taco special for an ambitious €22 per portion - you'd expect something! What came after three quarters of an hour of waiting was a real disappointment: 4 small soft tacos filled with grilled strips of beef and chicken breast, fried sweet potatoes and pulled pork. Add a thimbleful of tasteless white sauce (probably the sour cream?), half a roughly diced tomato (the pico de gallo?) and half a diced red onion. All in all, a far-dry, loveless, half-cold, practically unseasoned affair that was only served with half a liter of beer. Since the service in the garden was unremarkable, we couldn't complain until we had almost finished eating. But really, people! Where was the guacamole - or any mole? Where was the cheese? Where were the lettuce strips? Where was the tomato salsa - or any salsa? And again as a reminder: 22 €!!!!! Despite the beautiful beer garden, there is still a lot of room for improvement here, both in terms of food and service!

Nice restaurant and beautiful garden to relax in when the weather is good. The food was delicious, but one person in our group got the wrong one - the waitress insisted we had ordered that way. In order to avoid a discussion, we accepted this as is. All in all, a nice location. There were fewer stars because of the unfriendly service.

My wife and I had a very nice evening in this restaurant yesterday. Here are our very positive impressions/experiences: Very nice stylish furnishings and ambience. Very nice service (asked with/after every order if everything was ok and often). Very good food. Everything tasted very good. Above all: The menu provides very good information. Even on the first page, individual dishes are presented very well with pictograms and brief information. But the individual description of the individual dishes in particular is very detailed. And that's exactly what you get. For example, fajitas 400 gr. This gives you a very precise indication. Burritos and quesadillas as pictograms, I can immediately see which ones are bigger/smaller. Questions are answered comprehensively and very friendly. Highly recommended!

The waitress named Manu was great! The food was top. The menu also states whether the dishes are gluten free or not. 10/10 We'll definitely go there again!

We enjoyed our first visit there as the service was very nice and attentive. The only “disturbing thing” was that our food came as soon as it was ordered...really less than 5 minutes later. Since the food wasn't very hot, it was probably just "warmed" - maybe it has to be that way, but if everything is cold after the first bite, that's a shame. That lessened the joy a bit, but we were still full. But therefore 1 star deducted.
