We, a small family with a child, are very impressed 💞. The prices are reasonable, and the food is filling 😸. We especially like the fact that the cave cheese is offered as a dish here. The chef was also fantastic; a large tour group had just arrived, and the neighboring table was still given priority.

A very beautifully located restaurant. It has a large terrace with a beautiful view. The staff is very polite and accommodating. The food is delicious. However, I would like to see more Atta cheese options as an appetizer. For example, with a cheese platter to offer a better taste before purchasing.

Very tasty food, two venison burgers arrived quickly and in generous portions. Dessert (apple strudel) was hot and delicious. Service was prompt and very attentive.

It was simply a nightmare. We waited an hour and a half for our food, even though the restaurant was almost empty—they had obviously forgotten about us. When the food finally arrived, I immediately regretted having come here in the first place. The potatoes were extremely dry, and the chicken was better not to even try it. Honestly, if they had given me a boot to chew on, it would have been softer, tastier, and juicier. This isn't a restaurant, it's an outrage. I absolutely advise everyone not to come here.

Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend it. The waitress was completely overwhelmed and didn't seem friendly either. We arrived at 1:00 p.m. We were noticed after five minutes. She asked for a drink without asking for the menu. Then she brought a menu, the drink arrived, and at 1:30 p.m. we left again without ordering. She then asked if we enjoyed our meal. THERE WAS NOTHING ON THE TABLE. NO COOKIE, NO KNIFE, NO FORK, NOTHING. Unfortunately, disappointing, even mentioning that they were understaffed didn't help. Many people have that.

We wanted to have coffee, the machine was broken. We then had waffles with cherries and two Cokes. Unfortunately, the tables were not cleaned when guests changed and there were no napkins to wipe our mouths. It's a shame.

Today was Tuesday. We wanted to have lunch, but we could only do this outside. We wanted to soak up the atmosphere inside because of the good reviews. There were two waiters present, one of whom handed out menus, tried to take orders, and took the bill for her shift. The other waiter was pacing around, bringing all the orders and clearing the tables. Unfortunately, this resulted in long wait times. As a result, we couldn't have a full lunch and were forced to order a smaller dish. Please note that errors may appear on the final bill due to additional dishes. 🤣 The menu is affordable, the restroom is clean, and parking is available downstairs.

We arrived hungry and left full and satisfied. Good food, good service, and good value for money. We'd gladly return!

We were four adults with two young children (18 months, 5 years). Our orders were taken quickly, and after 15-20 minutes, three of our four meals arrived. Two side salads were also still missing. Three adults initially waited politely for the fourth meal until the young mother asked us to start. Ten minutes after we had finished three, she still hadn't brought anything. There was no waiter in sight. Everyone was busy on the crowded terrace. The children, who had been patient until then, were starting to get restless. We managed to catch our waitress, who promised to bring the food. After another fifteen minutes, we gave up and asked for the bill (without the fourth meal and two salads). The waitress apologized and offered us a round of drinks on the house as a replacement, which we had to decline, as it was becoming difficult to keep the children quiet. The food we received was also only mediocre. The topping on the tarte flambée was still quite far from the edge. The meatloaf was almost burnt, as was the fried egg on top. Our companion bravely ate it. Hunger drives it down. Afterwards came our visit to the Atta Cave, which one of us had to enter very hungry. This, along with the annoyance, spoiled our mood a bit, and the enjoyment of the tour was no longer undiminished. Next time we visit, we'll eat somewhere else, just to be on the safe side.

Great atmosphere, the food was delicious, and you get a generous portion for the price. I highly recommend it.

Unfortunately, we wouldn't recommend this restaurant. If there were an alternative, there probably wouldn't be so many people eating there. There were four of us there. Currywurst, fries with mayo, goulash soup, and a baked potato with salmon. Prices were the same as everywhere, but the portions were ridiculous! A handful of fries with the currywurst. The baked potato we ordered was five potatoes, like jacket potatoes, and the salad had no dressing or seasoning. The goulash soup was okay, but the accompanying baguette was completely dried out. Less experienced. Annoyed And hungry again 2 hours later Oh well 🫤

Where to begin? Half the staff doesn't seem to want to work. The currywurst was lukewarm, with 15 fries. Chicken nuggets were also standard, with few fries. Apple strudel was good, though. When clearing the table, my drink glass was knocked over, but they didn't even come back with a cloth or anything. I waited fifteen minutes to finally get hold of someone to pay. The positive side of it all is that you have a beautiful view.

A very nice view, but unfortunately the food wasn't very good. The pulled pork we ordered was nothing but fat, the portion was tiny for a daily special, and the apple strudel was only lukewarm. After pointing this out to the staff, the service was unfortunately not as friendly as it had been initially, so we had to wait almost 20 minutes to pay, even though the restaurant was almost empty at the time. What a shame.

The food was good and tasty, and the service was quick. The price/performance ratio is a problem. The lentil stew for €7.20 is unfortunately only a children's portion. The apple strudel was only half the size I expected.

The restaurant offers free seating with many covered tables – very pleasant in changeable weather. The accessibility is particularly positive: both the entrance to the restaurant and the restrooms are easily accessible with a wheelchair or stroller. The service was generally friendly, but there were several minor hiccups with our order. We ordered two Coke Zeros, but only one arrived – and that was a Diet Coke. There may have been a misunderstanding with the order. The food had the following issues: The children's schnitzel mistakenly came with fries instead of the ordered fried potatoes. The portion of cheese spaetzle was very small, but a small second helping was served upon request. The Leberkäse (meat loaf) with fried potatoes and a fried egg was missing the fried egg – according to the restaurant, there were no eggs left. This was a shame and could have been mentioned before ordering. The cheese crust was served with a very thin slice of mixed rye bread (like discount bread) – it tasted okay, but not up to the name "cave bread." After asking questions about the food, one had the feeling that the mood of the wait staff had noticeably changed – a shame, because the service had generally been friendly before. Overall: Nice location with a good view and approach, but with room for improvement in the kitchen and communication.

The service was very friendly. The food was of good quality and tasty, but unfortunately the portions were a bit too small for my taste. Otherwise, everything was satisfactory!

The food tasted terrible. We had pasta with tomato sauce (actually spaghetti), fries with nuggets, currywurst with fries, and tarte flambée. Spaghetti was completely overcooked. Zero salt, which is what you'd expect from a tomato sauce. It tasted completely like mush, with no spice or tomato flavor at all. The currywurst was "meh." Any chip shop on four wheels could do better. The nuggets tasted more like frozen nuggets from Aldi. Only the tarte flambée was acceptable. Apart from the tarte flambée, all the portions were ridiculously small. Not even the four-year-old was full with their four nuggets and 20 grams of fries. Oh yeah, mayonnaise and ketchup with the fries were only available upon request (since they're already skimping on salt). One waitress, you could tell from her face that she didn't want to work there. It fits the food. Next time, we'll pack our own sandwiches and avoid the place.

I can't recommend it. After visiting the Atta Cave, we wanted to have a coffee. That was at the beginning of June and I still haven't received my order today 😅 Hence only one star. We left after waiting 20 minutes. We didn't see any more service.

Outdoor terrace with changeable weather. You really can't blame anyone for that, and it doesn't detract from the positive impression we had of the location. Super delicious food and the best cheese!

The restaurant offers a large, covered outdoor terrace with a good view of Attendorn. It was also comfortable and cozy inside. Since there wasn't much going on during our visit, we were able to enjoy absolute peace and quiet. Possibly due to this, the service was very quick and the food came surprisingly quickly - great if you come hungry from the cave tour next door :). The menu selection is great and not overwhelming. Even vegetarians can find something here. The price-performance ratio is absolutely fine - the two of us paid €40 for two meals, drinks and dessert. You really can't complain about that. The service was also very friendly. So absolutely recommended next to the Atta cave!

The staff were very friendly, unfortunately that doesn't help with this poor price/performance ratio! Deep fryer schnitzel with cans of Champions for €18.90. Really a disgrace. We had to ask for the salad plate that was there because it was forgotten. The salad plate was then a small glass filled with salad. But it was fresh and tasted good. Conclusion: after visiting the beautiful cave, definitely visit another restaurant!!!

The restaurant had a beautiful terrace with a view over Attendorn. The service was quick and the food was delicious. Only the Fanta tasted took a bit of getting used to and we were apparently there on a day when there was green cutting work because it was very loud on the terrace. Beautiful terrace even at 12 degrees because there are blankets. Service was simply top, very nice and attentive. Starters and main courses were very tasty, portions were big enough. Price and performance are right here. Despite it closing at 4 p.m., we were able to finish eating and enjoy the view until just before half past five. Salad was free because there were too many made - thanks again. It's worth it!

The tarte flambée tasted of rancid fat, the fries were soggy, the bratwurst was very dry and the wheat beer (on tap) was too warm and barely carbonated. We went to Heaven for lunch. Unfortunately it was a disappointment. Fish and currywurst were eaten with a side salad. The side salad cost just €4.50. For products made from glass, mind you. (asparagus, red cabbage) The portions were relatively small. The prices were low. We should have been surprised where. In terms of taste, everything is thrown into the deep fryer. What a shame! The service was also occasionally rough in tone. That was the first and last visit!

Today we ate at the Himmelreich restaurant after our visit to the Attahöle. Unfortunately, I have to say that every chip shop I know makes better food. We both had Wiener Schnitzel with fries and champion sauce. The schnitzel was bone dry and the fries were hard, with ready-made sauce with canned champions. It's a shame that the person who cooks there also gets paid for it.

After the cave visit, we had lunch in the Café Himmelreich restaurant. The wild burger was a full 5 out of 5 stars. Generous portion and very tasty. The cheese crust on cave bread was mixed, 3.5 out of 5 stars. The cheese was very good, the cave bread was very thinly sliced ​​and unfortunately nothing special. Reminiscent of packaged discount store bread. The salad garnish was tasty but not remarkable. Unfortunately, the pasta with sauce for our child was a maximum of a 2 out of 5. The small portion of tomato sauce was on top of a portion of overcooked spaghetti, which in turn was in a bed of plenty of pasta water. Price-performance ratio was ok. The service was stressful because the restaurant was very full, but still very friendly. Apart from the view of Attendorn, the ambience of the terrace can be described as standard. All in all, mixed. The food ranges between 2 and 5 stars. For every meal that includes cheese as an ingredient, local and extremely good atta cheese is used. The service was good but the ambience was not more than standard. Recommendation: you can do it and it's a good idea after visiting the cave.

A beautiful, large terrace invites you to linger. We really enjoyed the food and the prices were okay. Service was also quick and friendly. We had the baked potato with salad and game.

Disappointing The potatoes advertised as "open potatoes" were nothing more than plain, boiled potatoes with no taste or sophistication. A real disappointment for the price. Not recommended.

Chicken fillet oriental with satay sauce and rice The whole thing was tasteless, three pieces of chicken and overcooked vegetables and satay sauce was not satay sauce but roast gravy with a bit of peanut flavor. Your kitchen should learn to make satay sauce. This didn't seem tasteless and not quality for the price. very poor service ratio, slow and sluggish.

Food was delicious had a Flammkuchen with cheese that has matured in the caves. Service was good, I personally thought the atmosphere was a bit cold, the service was friendly but didn't really seem to be having her day. Went yesterday 11-6-24. We had the apple strudel and the waffle, both of which were really bad. The apple strudel was frozen and therefore impossible to "break apart" with a fork in the microwave. Whatever you can do wrong with a waffle...it happened!!! If you're hungry and thirsty go down to the Hanse Hotel, they're nice and the food isn't more expensive but it's enjoyable.

A delicious restaurant right next to the Atta cave where you can eat very well before or after looking at the stalactite cave. The food there was very tasty and you also had a good selection. The food was okay, the baked potato with the homemade Atta cave cheese was quite tasty, but the kitchen was a bit stingy with a few ingredients for €11.50 and the dressing in the salad was missing as well as spices such as salt and pepper at the table. But the service was top, very nice service didn't take long to arrive, they kept coming by and asking if everything was okay and you could pay quickly, the food was also there very quickly. Nach einem Besuch in der AttaHölle. Liegt das direkt daneben. Vom bestellen zu bekommen, liegen gerade einmal 15 Minute. Auch die Aussicht lässt uns Attendorn ein bisschen besser kennenlernen. Die Bedingungen sind freundlich, gepflegte und nette. So wie es sich gehört. Das tragen einer "Schützen-Uniform" schaut sehr professionell aus. Die Lokation lässt sich im grossen und ganzen als gemütlich gezeichnen. Wir kommen gerne wieder!!

Nice place to eat after your visit to the cave. The flammkuchen were good, schnitzel was okay! Service was amazing, we got to take our leftovers home on some bread. Lovely viee of the town and they even had blankets on the terrace in case you get cold :)

Wir waren dort nach der Besichtigung der Attahöhle. Die Terrasse ist ein sehr schöner Ort zum verweilen und das Essen war auch wirklich gut. Die Bestellung kam zügig und das Personal war sehr aufmerksam. Empfehlenswert👍🏻.

Es bietet sich natürlich an, nach der Besichtigung der Höhe hier einzukehren. Man kann sehr schön auf der Terasse sitzen und sich einen Stalagmiti (Windbeutel) mit Kaffee gönnen. Das Personal war auch freundlich

Hatten auf Grund der Lage eher durchschnittliches Essen erwartet. Waren angenehm überrascht.. Service schnell und freundlich - 300g Schnitzel brauchen wir nicht, aber es gab auch keine Probleme als Rentner ein Kindermenue zu bestellen. Das Käsekrüstchen mit Attakäse fand ich super, vielleicht noch ein paar Preiselbeeren, aber das ist nur mein Vorschlag. Danke für die angenehme Zeit bei Euch.

Wir hatten angesichts eines Geburtstages reserviert und haben einen netten Tisch mit Blumen erhalten. Eine Reservierung wäre aber nicht nötig gewesen. Auf der Speisekarte stand, dass aktuell ein Personalengpass herrsche. Dennoch wurden wir in einem sehr angemessenem Zeitraum bedient und das Essen war gut (: besonders der Attahöhlenkäse war klasse. Eine Käseplatte wäre noch schöner gewesen. Aber vielleicht gibt es diese ja bald (: Auch das Schnitzel hat sehr gut geschmeckt. Leider war die Championrahmsoße eine Mischung aus frischen und Dosen Champions. Und ein kleiner Minisalat wäre noch schön gewesen. Aber vielleicht dem Engpass geschuldet. Dennoch war das Essen sehr lecker. Die Bedienungen waren jedenfalls sehr nett und das Ambiente schön. Hatten einen schönen Tag dort.

Obwohl wir nur knapp zehn Kilometer von Attendorn entfernt wohnen haben wir das Restaurant Himmelreich nach vielen Jahren erstmals besucht. Wir fanden eine tolle Terrasse mit einem schönen Ausblick auf Attendorn vor, die Bedienung ist aufmerksam und freundlich. Die Speisekarte ist nicht überladen, es wird Fisch, Schnitzel und Salat angeboten. Und auch für den kleinen Hunger gib es etwas. Die Preise sind sehr moderat wenn man bedenkt das das Himmelreich direkt neben der Attahöhle liegt, einem Touristenhotspot aus Südwestfalen. Die Mahlzeiten sind üppig, es gibt nicht zu beanstanden.

Leider gab es( nach meinem Geschmack) Punktabzug bezüglich der Bratkartoffeln, die eine Konsistenz von gebratenem Klossteig hatten. Freudliche Bedingungen, der Flammkuchen ist einsame Spitze, das Schnitzel mit Pilzsosse war super, der Seelach war gut,nur die Bratkartoffeln bekommen nen Punkt abzug. Das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis ist sehr gut. Lokal ist sehr zu empfehlen.

Hatte 2 Cappuccino und eine Waffel bestellt. Die Waffel wurde recht zügig serviert, auf d. Cappuccino haben wie gewartet u. gewartet. Auf unser Nachfrage, nach ca. 20 min. teilte man uns erst mit, dass es ein Problem mit d. Maschine gab. Allerdings entschuldige sich die Servicekraft u. bot uns als Entschädigung ein Tortestück an.

Waren heute dort nach dem Besuch der Attahöhlle. Bedienung war nett und freundlich. Einesr der bestellten Eisbecher für die Kinder kam erst mit deutlicher Verspätung. Mein Apfelstrudel für 6,80 war wirklich schlecht. Eine Mini Strudelchen aus der Mikrowelle. Außen knüppelhart und innen glühend heiß. Die Rechnung missten wir vier mal anmahnen und dieser Vorgang dauerte 25 Minuten mit zwei quengelnden Kindern am Tisch. Insgesamt Preis/Leistung nur zwei Sterne wert.

Wir waren dort vor dem Besuch der Atta-Höhle und waren sehr zufrieden. Wir saßen auf der schönen Terrasse, das Essen war lecker und das Personal sehr freundlich. Als wir dort ankamen, war es recht leer, was sich aber sehr schnell änderte. Bei mir wurden, statt der bestellten Pommes, Kroketten serviert aber bei dem Andrang habe ich absolutes Verständnis für Fehler!

Wir waren gestern zu Besuch dort. Mein Mann und die Kids haben die Höhle besucht (ich war schon reichlich oft da😃). Ich habe derweilen erst mal mit Hund einen Cappuccino auf der Terrasse genossen. Anschließend haben wir hier unser Mittagessen eingenommen. Also wer hier noch meckert ist wirklich selbst schuld oder sollte seine Ansprüche mal überdenken. Die Portionen waren mehr als reichlich, riesen Flammkuchen, ordentlicher Schweinebraten mit Beilagen und auch die Jungs waren mit ihrem Lieblingsessen Nuggets mit Pommes sehr zufrieden. Das Personal war mehr als freundlich und alles, Getränke als auch Essen, waren sehr zügig auf dem Tisch. Hervorzuheben sind die Preise die man eigentlich schon gar nicht mehr kennt. Es ist auch in keinster Weise ein Imbiss. Es gibt eine gute und ausreichende Speisenauswahl zu absolut fairen Preisen. Absolut empfehlenswert!

Schönes Höhlenrestaurant mit toller Aussicht und mit freundlicher Bedienung leider war die Kuchenauswahl bis auf eine Sorte nicht so prickelnd, da kann man mehr erwarten. Mittagessen nach einem Besuch in der Attahöle (welcher übrigens Atemberaubend war und mega gut geführt). Wir wählen nächstes Mal ein anderes Lokal. Etwas aus dem Schuss ist neben dem Lokal als Ganzes auch die Zubereitung der Speisen. Die Karte weckt noch Appetit aber was gebracht wurde war dann nicht richtig warm und geschmacklich etwas dünn. Der Raum war auch sehr kühl, der Lüfter war auf 18C eingestellt.

Weihnachtsbuffet. Essen, naja. Vieles ohne Geschmack. Auf die Allergie unserer Tochter wurde nicht wirklich reagiert. Service teilweise aufmerksam und teilweise auch wieder überhaupt nicht. Positiv ist der kostenfreie Parkplatz, man bekommt einen Coin.

Dieses Restaurant hat einfach alles. Athmosphäre, Nettes Personal und am wichtigsten phänomenales Essen. Ich empfele den Flamkuchen mit würzigem Attakäse.

Wenn der Besitzer nicht so unfreundlich wäre, hätte sich der Besuch gelohnt. Dachten eigentlich Kunde wäre König, wohl im dem Fall nicht😟 Beim Personal gibt es nichts zu meckern!!!

1 Stern für die Aussicht 1 für die Bedienung Das Essen war was für den hohlen Zahn. Für fast 7 Euro ne Pommes Currywurst wäre okay, wenn sie schmecken würde. Die Wurst hatte ne harte gummiartige Pelle und war kalt, genau wie die Currysoße. Die Pommes waren total wenig und ich lasse bei normalen Restaurant Portionen meist was über, weils zu viel für mich ist.

nach der Höhlenführung suchten wir die Außengastronomie des Restaurants auf, das mit kleiner Karte aufwartete. Die ausgesuchten Speisen waren ordentlich, schmackhaft und im mittleren Preisniveau. Der Service war leider stark überfordert, als eine wohl angekündigte Busgruppe eintraf. Schade. das hätte man besser vorbereiten können- hoffentlich hat man daraus gelernt, denn die Höhle wird immer wieder Anlaufpunkt für Busreisen sein. Immerhin wurde uns wegen der langen Wartezeit der Kaffee nicht berechnet
