Excellent food in a pleasantly quiet atmosphere. Whether after a walk or just because, we always enjoy coming here. There are also play areas for children nearby (tip: climbing frame on the forest path behind the tower). You have to be lucky with the view and the weather in spring and autumn, but when the fog clears away you have a great view of the Sauerland.

More than satisfied! The cheese fondue in particular was a great experience. Mega staff, beautiful ambience and extremely delicious food. Only recommended!!!

On the sinking ship of gastronomy in Germany, this restaurant is a real bright spot!! Cozy, modern ambience, upscale but not aloof atmosphere. Very friendly service, stylish handling. No music blaring from the speakers, a subtle background for conversations. The food was very fresh, tasty, skillfully seasoned and the salad dressings were also great. We found the portions to be filling. I would have loved to try another dessert or cake, but I was too full and didn't want to overpower the taste of the eggplant lasagne. This visit left us with a good feeling and at a reasonable price level. Tip: From November to the end of March there are fondues in the cable car gondola. A fun event! Reserve in advance!

A good friend invited us to dinner and it was an excellent idea!! The “fondue gondola” with a view into the distance - mega! Inside there is cozy space for four people and various types of fondue. Quality very good, tasty and a good combination. You can reorder at any time via radio, which then quickly arrives at the table... err... in the gondola. Great experience, especially when the weather is good!! Service is very friendly and helpful! Mega cool location!!!

Is the boss aware of this? In general, the older waitress was on Sunday January 13th. probably a little irritated, but she had already announced loudly that this should actually have been her first day off in 5 weeks. To be honest, conversations like this shouldn't be conducted in such a way that the guest notices. Unfortunately the food wasn't good, the breading on the schnitzel was completely soggy, the fries were absolutely over salted with way too much fries seasoning. We still ate half of it, and no one asked us if it tasted good or if we wanted to drink something else, even though we were sitting right at the counter. But if two waiters constantly have to work the cash register and no one knows whether they should be doing the counter or what they should be doing at all, that's no wonder. People were constantly asking each other whether the drink had already been made or why the table had already ordered and nothing had been booked or where the food was going that had been waiting for ages. We asked twice for the bill, which of course we wanted to pay in full since we ate a good half of the food and didn't complain due to the service staff's lack of interest. The older waitress came to the table the third time we asked for the bill. She didn't want to clear the half-full plates, and she didn't ask if it was tasty. When we wanted to pay by card and didn't say we would leave a tip, they didn't even say goodbye. We were thrown our real bill and we left without a word, even though we said goodbye. Absolute bad behavior to treat the guest like this because he doesn't give any tips and asks for the correct bill. They probably thought that the tourists could be treated like that and they would probably never come back anyway. In any case, the waitress absolutely failed in her job. The plates always go in front of the guest, you ask if it was tasty and even if you don't get a tip, you wish them a nice day or reply to a guest who says goodbye. Pure decency demands that.

Ate different dishes there often. It was very tasty, every dish so far!! High quality products, reordering no problem. The cheese fondue in the gondola was also delicious. Supplements could be ordered later. A wonderful time out to switch off from the stress of everyday life. You are in for yourself the warm gondola and the advantage of a restaurant. Nice ambience. The service is a disaster. Went there spontaneously and asked politely for a table. After the employee I spoke to wanted to take care of things but didn't come back, I took a look at the reservations and then picked out a table myself. After another 15 minutes we were allowed to order even though it was empty. The food came after a good 30 minutes (a lot of waiting with a 2 year old at the table). Well, that can happen. The food then came and looked good. It tasted like shit. Fries with an excessive amount of salt, the schnitzel is made in the oven. It doesn't taste like anything and has a consistency like rubber. Since no one wanted to know what it tasted like, we left the plates half full. Only the little one liked the limp and completely over-seasoned fries. When we paid we weren't asked if everything was OK. Then I didn't give a tip. I thought €46 was enough for poor service and food. The slightly older waitress didn't find that funny at all, so she left the table without a word after taking the cash...no goodbye, no nothing. It's cheeky to expect a tip when you can't do anything!!! The store only runs because there's nothing else up there. Actually, we had already chosen cake and we would have ordered espresso too if the shop wasn't such a disaster.

We were there to grab a bite to eat. No greeting...nothing. We sat down at a table. The waitress cleared the neighboring table without informing us that she would be right there with us. After 15 minutes there was still no service staff. In the kitchen area there were 4 forces, all apparently hiding. Our two neighboring tables filled up. After another 15 minutes, impatient guests asked us whether we had even been served yet. They gave us restaurant tips in the area, which we visited after another 15 minutes. We weren't served so we can't say anything about the food. Too bad.

We were there for lunch on December 26th, with the Christmas menu/buffet. The food, especially the meat, was of poor quality. Unfortunately, it tasted as if it had been left over from the previous day and reheated. A real shame! For €48 per person just for the meal, I expect good food. The selection was decent and beautifully presented. The ambiance was fabulous! There were five of us, and we all agreed that we wouldn't attend another event like this at the Hohen Bracht. Edit: I didn't mention anything about schnitzels, but I had already highlighted the good selection on site and again in the review above. I still maintain that my group and I weren't satisfied with the quality of the food.

The view is great. It's worth it

So far away from the original Swiss cheese fondue... As we all know, food is a matter of taste, but what we were offered doesn't even come close to a ready-made fondue from a package. At least, the gondola offers a nice view and as such is something different. Still rather disappointing.

We spent the fondue gondola package with an overnight stay on the Hohe Bracht from December 7th to 8th, 2024. Simply a great experience. It's really special because you rarely have the opportunity to spend the night up there. As always, everything is at a very high level. The food, ambience and service are simply great. Hello, we had a great evening in the “Hohe Bracht” restaurant. As soon as we entered the restaurant, we were greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere that perfectly complements the modern and tasteful interior. The entire team was extremely friendly, attentive and refreshing - a mix of professionalism and genuine warmth. I would particularly like to highlight the restaurant manager Dominik: his friendly, refreshing and entertaining manner made the evening a real experience. For all his professionalism, his demeanor was so entertaining that it was almost worth the extra entry fee. The dishes were just perfect! From the presentation to the taste, every detail was spot on. The food was more than sufficient, excellent and the price-performance ratio was more than justified We can recommend this restaurant without reservation. A visit here is really worth it for anyone who values ​​excellent food and first-class care. Thank you for an unforgettable evening - we will definitely be back!

After years we were back in the restaurant on the Hohe Bracht: it had been lovingly renovated and brought back to the times. The service was attentive and personal, the food was very tasty (especially the fried potatoes), generous portions and high-quality drinks at a reasonable price. We'll definitely come back.

Porr... what a beautiful location. I was there on a Saturday with my moped, very nice journey, lots of parking spaces, everything was super clean, very nice outdoor areas, high-quality seating and tables, sun protection if you want that. When the weather is nice, a view...! Yes, it's a little more expensive, but it's definitely worth it. Being on your own on the terrace also makes it more relaxing for both parties. I'll be back.

As in practically all excursion restaurants, the price and performance are marginal. A lack of staff leaves inspired and often helpless employees.

As with any excursion destination, the prices are definitely high, but the quality is definitely good. Bratwurst, steak, burgers and the cake was also good. It's worth stopping there for the view. Unfortunately, due to renovation work, it was not possible to climb the observation tower. But I will definitely visit it a few more times on my motorcycle tours.

We were here for a wedding and have visited this beautiful viewpoint several times. Very nice ambience, lots of space in the *panorama room* (everything here is glazed and you can enjoy the view from the inside but also from the outside via a wooden terrace that runs all around). The buffet was rich and tasty. Very courteous and friendly staff. Regardless of whether you are a hiker, biker, party guest or just a day tripper: it is always worth a visit. Diverse menu with good P/L ratio. A highlight in the winter: fondue in one of the two expanded gondolas (cable car). In winter, groomed trails and ski lift. 588 m high: you can see far away!

After 10 years we were here again... and extremely positively surprised. Complete renovation of indoor and outdoor dining! We each had different dishes and we all loved them. I can only recommend the chickpea curry. But the other dishes (rump steak, pork medallions or currywurst) were also really tasty. We felt very comfortable here and would love to come back.

The tower is located above Bilstein in the forest and you have a beautiful view and can go on hikes around the tower. There is a parking lot right at the tower if you can't or don't want to walk up. We enjoyed the food very much. The soups, the salmon (one of the two dishes recommended for the day, not on the menu) and the schnitzel with salad and fries were very tasty. Dessert and gooseberry cake were also very good. The service was very friendly and attentive. We enjoyed it and will definitely eat there again. The menu is probably updated regularly, so it's worth checking the homepage occasionally to see what's available.

What can I say. Driving there or hiking...it's always worth it. Very nice staff and first of all the food.

We were there spontaneously on March 1st, 2024 around 6 p.m. and enjoyed it! Here you will not only be full but also happy :) From the absolutely nice service (all 3 people present were super friendly and attentive) to the food, there was not a reason where something could be improved in our opinion. It is pleasantly warm and the ambience is just right. The food was on point and more than sufficient, even for good eaters! (not all of the side dishes are in the photos) We both had the best quality meat! Rump steak and daily special of pork medaillions. Everything was seasoned perfectly! The garnish for the rump steak, for example, had very exotic notes that you would otherwise only get in very upscale cuisine. For example, the caramelized sunflower seeds or fried peaches with honey (all just guesswork - no matter what it was - please keep it). The salad with the steak, for example, also had a nice dressing! Many restaurants don't manage this either or leave it out! We also found the price to be fair and there are even very cheap dishes :) The apple strudel also tasted very tasty - we also got the ultimate taste experience here. The latte macchiato was delivered with a home-baked or refined cookie - here too, the love is in the detail, as we found. Last but not least, we took a look at the sanitary facilities - everything was impeccably clean, so things seem to be going well behind the facade. The waitresses were also stylishly dressed, which also confirmed the overall impression. All in all a perfect evening - not one thing that could be improved. We'll definitely be back :)

Kann man also nur weiterempfehlen 😉👍🏻 Wir sind sonst oft Sonntags im Sommer draußen zu Gast gewesen... zum Kaffee und Kuchen. Auch absolut empfehlenswert. Also... Top Adresse da oben 😉👍🏻 Und nicht zu vergessen... Die mega Aussicht und schöne Wanderwege.

Eine schöne Atmosphäre, empfängt hier den Gast. Die Anfahrt ein wenig lang aber spannend und absolut empfehlenswert. Wir waren zu viert dort Samstagabend und haben uns richtig wohl gefühlt. Die Speisekarte völlig ausreichend, aber kein Fisch. Die Gerichte sehr lecker und ansehnlich angerichtet. Der Service 1A! Im Inneren, ein sehr ansprechendes Ambiente. Passend dazu präsentieren sich die Mitarbeiter in einen gepflegten Erscheinungsbild. Ich mag sowas. Astrein! 😎

Lecker essen in Fonduegondel. Das Ambiente ist Mega, wir hatten schönes Wetter und einen super Ausblick, direkt aus der Gondel heraus. Alles in allem ein sehr schönes Erlebnis.

Es war ein toller Abend in außergewöhnlichem Ambiente. Das Käsefondue war sehr lecker und der Service hervorragend. Wir würden die Fondue-Gondel immer wieder buchen und empfehlen.

Nach einem Spaziergang durch den Wald im Winter sind wir im Restaurant der Hohen Bracht gewesen. Einen heißen Kakao trinken. Location und Service sind super. Zu jeder Jahreszeit ein schönes Ausflugsziel.

Super leckeres Essen und gute Portionen von denen man auch satt wird. Ich hatte das Bracht Schnitzel, sehr lecker gebraten und besonders gut war, dass die Champignonrahmsauce in einem gesonderten Behälter serviert wurde. So schmeckte das Schnitzel besonders frisch und die Parnade blieb knusprig frisch. Pommes und Salat waren auch reichhaltig, wenn auch der Salat gerne etwas mehr Sauche vertragen könnte. Einziges Manko: Die Mayonnaise wurde in abgepackten Tüten auf den Tisch geschmissen. Klar ist vermutlich so die Portionierung einfacher und weniger aufwendig, jedoch würde sich auf so einem wirklich sehr schön angerichteten Teller auch eine Mayonnaise in einem kleinen Dip-Töpfchen gut machen und würde ein wenig liebevoller aussehen.

Vielen Dank für die tolle Location, das super leckere Essen und die Gastfreundschaft. Es war wirklich sehr schön bei euch und wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Spirituosendemenz wurde fachgerecht gemildert 😉 Prima ist auch die Möglichkeit mit dem Wohnmobil auf dem Parkplatz stehen zu können. Das Wandergebiet ist auch zu empfehlen. Wir waren angemeldet zu vier Personen samstags Abend dort und waren als erstes sehr positiv überrascht vom Ambiente. Das Essen war sehr gut, schön angerichtet und üppig. Außerdem stimmte das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis. Unser Fazit: Wir werden auf jeden Fall noch einmal dorthin Essen gehen und können das Lokal vorbehaltlos weiterempfehlen. Ein schöner Abend in einem schönen Ambiente.

Gezellig, leuke bediening, lekkere soep en flamkuchen gegeten, prachtige ligging Leuk om weer te bezoeken, vooral als er sneeuw ligt.

Sehr nettes und engagiertes Personal in einem netten Ambiente! Das Essen war sehr lecker und vom Preis her angemessen. Die Kuchenauswahl ist ebenfalls ansprechend! Dazu kommt noch die super Aussicht. Leider war der Aussichtsturm bei unserem Besuch gesperrt! Wir werden sicher wieder mal hier einkehren.

Das Essen war hervorragend. Allerdings bekam ich zu dem veganen Gericht einen weißen Dipp und erst auf Nachfrage stellte sich heraus, ist nicht vegan. Sowas darf nicht passieren. Bis das geklärt war, war das Essen auch nicht mehr wirklich warm. Der Service war sehr holprig an diesem Abend. Auf Bier musste man locker 20 Minuten warten, und das nur um ein neues zu bestellen. Wir konnten winken etc. Wir würden nicht gesehen/gehört. Mehrfach am Abend. Es waren auch nur noch drei andere Tische besetzt, den ging es ähnlich. Wir hatten aber das Gefühl, das die jungen Leute eigentlich auf Zack sind und wir Pech hatten. Sie waren abgelenkt durch Einarbeitung und einem Wohnmobil Dinner auf dem Parkplatz. Trotzdem haben wir eine unfreiwillige Ewigkeit hier verbracht und zum bezahlen mussten wir die Bedienungen am Tresen suchen und standen auch dort eine Weile verlassen rum. Das hat das gute Essen sehr getrübt.

Schöne Anfahrt mit tollem Ausblick. Vor dem Restaurant eine große Anzahl an Parkplätzen. Eine herzliche Begrüßung und ein sehr freundlicher Service stimmen aufs Essen ein. Das Ambiente ist modern und gemütlich. Die Suppen selbst gemacht und auch das Wild ist von sehr guter Qualität. Das Preis- Leistungsverhältnis passt. Alles sehr gepflegt und die sanitären Anlagen sehr sauber. Wenn wir nochmal in der Nähe sind werden wir sicher nochmal einkehren.

Wir haben Anfang September unsere Hochzeit da gefeiert. Die Location ist von der Lage und Ambiente natürlich super schön, konnten auch auf der Terrasse feiern. Essen war sehr lecker, der Service wirklich schnell und sehr freundlich. Vielen Dank für diesen schönen Tag, kommen gerne bald mal wieder mit dem Rad vorbei.
