We always come here with our company visit because it reflects the authentic German restaurant our visitors imagine. Excellent German cuisine, good beer, and friendly service in traditional costumes. We've never been disappointed, and the full tables, even off-season, speak for themselves. See you next time...

The location was absolutely as expected... A typical brewery! Very friendly service, despite a missed reservation! The food was fantastic (the schnitzel with fried potatoes was very, very good, and the vegan dessert was also delicious – especially the dressing! Truly a dream!). Best wishes to the kitchen... Highly recommended!

We stayed at the Best Western Hotel this weekend, which is highly recommended. The restaurant with its Bavarian ambience is located in this hotel. Everything was perfect, from the friendly staff to the delicious food with original Munich Hofbräu 🍻. We were very satisfied and would like to come back.

I had the pleasure of dining at the Hofbräu am Ostertor in Bad Salzuflen and I was completely thrilled! The pork schnitzel with mushroom cream sauce was an absolute delight, and the authentic Hofbräu beer rounded off the experience perfectly. I would particularly like to highlight the extremely friendly and attentive staff, who made the visit something very special. I'll definitely be back!

I'll start with the positive things: The service is good, nice and attentive. You don't sit in front of an empty glass. Top. I can't judge whether the ambience corresponds to a Bavarian tavern, as I've never been to a tavern in Bavaria. I really liked it. The food also tasted good, but - if I classify it correctly - was completely convenience: fried chicken, wedges and coleslaw. In my opinion this works better. But what was a total no-go for me was that ketchup, mayo and mustard came to the table in mini cardboard bowls (some with plastic lids)! Wedge into the mayo > cardboard bowl is attached. Wedge on the fork, knife in the mayo > cardboard bowl hangs on it. That doesn't work at all! This got on my nerves so much that I unfortunately have to deduct two stars. But something forgiving at the end: I had the horseradish soup from the daily menu. That was a blast!

The atmosphere is very, very pleasant. I really like it because the restaurant has a very nice wooden look that goes well with the rest of the décor. The service is very friendly and Adis is the friendliest waiter I have ever met. (THE BEER GOULASH IS AWESOME!!!!!)

The Hofbräu am Ostertor in Bad Salzuflen is the ultimate hotspot for Bavarian atmosphere and hearty, fun get-togethers - without expensive plane tickets to Munich! Here, the hearty cuisine tastes so delicious that you forget how many calories there are in a pork knuckle. The beer flows freely and the friendly staff make you feel like you're part of a big, happy family - just without the stress of someone stealing your pretzels. An evening here is like a short vacation with lots of laughter, feasting and a good mood!

After a nice, cozy afternoon, really nice service and a bill of around €124, we cheekily asked for a drink on the house. The answer “New management…. new rules”…. Teu….Teu…Teu… for the future‼️ Just think… without us🤷‼️

A little disappointed with the food!! The liver dumpling soup with root vegetables. Not a piece of root vegetables was found, the mini dumplings and the dark soup was just Maggi water, unfortunately after speaking to the staff there was no response........The beer goulash with spaetzle and cucumber salad was unfortunately a mini portion. We decided not to have dessert because of the prices. I don't need that again!

You should definitely reserve seats at Christmas time. It's always full. It also tastes very tasty. Plenty of selection of dishes and drinks.

The Hofbräu invites you to linger and eat with its cosiness. The food was excellent, the service was very attentive and the beer tasted very good.

Not recommended, reserve a table in advance to watch Bavaria and in the end the conference will be shown in a Bavarian Hofbräuhaus. It's a shame, the food was okay but too salty.

I had dinner here with my wife two weeks ago. Sat outside. The ambience wasn't that nice right on the street it was very loud. My wife and I had knuckle meat with red cabbage, I had fried potatoes and my wife had dumplings. The meat was extremely dry on both plates, the dumplings from the bag, my fried potatoes were okay, the red cabbage was completely boiled down, really mushy and tasted completely bland. The sauce was a bit brown, pretty tasteless. Best of all was the draft HB beer. The ambience inside was very nice and rustic and cozy, unfortunately we saw it too late otherwise we would have sat down. The service outside wasn't exactly friendly, as if everything had been rehearsed and gone straight away. On the whole, I wouldn't go out to eat here again, just drink.

A nice hotel, nice rooms, nice staff

Anyone who knows real Bavarian food will be disappointed. I had the tavern pan. The fried potatoes were soaked in oil and not crunchy at all, the bacon beans were lukewarm and you had to look for the bacon. The meat was dry and the sauce was out of the bag. Demanding money for something like that is an impudence. Never again!

I was disappointed with the food The grilled knuckle was dry and lukewarm. The sauce tasted like it came out of a cardboard box and you could have played tennis with the potato dumplings😥 But the sauerkraut was delicious. The service was very nice. But for the knuckle it wasn't worth €20.80 Widow Bolte has the better one For 6o.7 € Kind regards, Bernhard

Very good beer and delicious food. We had schnitzel and roast pork, both are recommended! The dumplings were pretty dry and I didn't really like them. The service was friendly and quick, we didn't have to wait long! Unfortunately, the atmosphere in the restaurant was not nice. It was hot and loud, the tables were too close together for us!

The food is tasty and at an affordable price. I especially recommend trying the Bavarian pork shank, it's simply finger-licking good. I highly recommend!!!

Have eaten here many times as a hotel guest. And when I think about it, I've never been disappointed. Great and attentive service… Bavarian ambience (I'm North German... 😉)… Delicious drinks (not just beer, but also the pinot…)… And REALLY delicious food!… You always appreciate when you have eaten somewhere else... 😂 Thank you dear ones!!!

The two of us were there yesterday to spend a cozy evening. The food came quickly and was very tasty. Requests for changes were also addressed immediately. The service is friendly and quick. It was a lovely evening all around.

The food was average, sometimes very bland, value for money wasn't right. At the beginning we were served attentively, but after we had eaten and wanted to drink something (and the menu was brought to us again), no one came. After waiting half an hour, we wanted to pay. The waitress wanted to tell her colleague who had previously served us, but whom we hadn't seen for half an hour. We actually waited almost an hour until someone came to our table. The ambience is very nice, the food fills you up, and the service definitely needs improvement. But I won't try it again

If I want to eat something nice, like meatloaf with fried potatoes, then I go to the Hofbräu. A tasty light beer is also served. The service is attentive, the atmosphere is rustic, and if you're lucky you'll get a fruit schnapps on the house with your bill. However, there is too much pop music played there for my taste.

Well, you have to imagine the Bavarian ambience plus the mountains... when you sit outside. The street next to it plus the many different people passing by... isn't quite as comfortable. But, the service was super friendly and the food was simply Bavarian good. We'd love to come back.

As always, it was very nice. The staff is very well trained and extremely nice and accommodating. The food is very fresh and good. Very pleasant atmosphere. What I think is cool is that football fans are welcome. Whether it's the European Championships or the Bundesliga, watching the pack in an adjacent room is welcome. Here’s to a cozy evening.

I was very dissatisfied. We had We had a table reserved a day in advance, but it was occupied by a regular guest when we arrived. Apparently will Regular guests at the Hofbräuhaus in Bad Salzuflen are preferred. A pity!!!

We sat in the beer garden for half an hour and weren't served. Then I went in and asked if the beer garden was open. This was answered in the affirmative. Waited another half hour and then we left. Really bad service.

During a visit to Bad Salzuflen we discovered this very nice Hofbräu. It is very cozy, the service is very nice and friendly. The food we ordered was plentiful and the knuckle was excellently fried. Unfortunately, the fried potatoes were almost rubbish, which is why a star was deducted. Otherwise, I can really recommend everyone to stop by there 👌

Where should I start? So the atmosphere is very great. The food, it has absolutely nothing to do with Bavarian cuisine, I come from Bavaria and travel a lot. Cured meat, fried potatoes from the deep fryer and a loveless sweet with old red cabbage. The food came after 5 minutes of ordering, this cannot be freshly prepared. Never again. I've never had such bad food in a restaurant

An extraordinarily beautiful Bavarian-style restaurant in the middle of Westphalia. The food and drink there is very tasty, the service is first class and the ambience is reminiscent of great holidays in Bavaria and the mountains. I will gladly come again!

Food was ready very quickly. Price-performance ratio absolutely fine, very nice staff.

Yesterday we had a very nice place for 4 people without making a reservation! The selected dishes were rich and delicious! The light was delicious! The first Riesling was good, but unfortunately the second Riesling was not the same! Since it was a nice stay overall, it wasn't mentioned.

Great food and delicious beer! There's really no need to say more. Waiter/lady very friendly and quick on the move. Parking at Rewe without any problems (unfortunately it costs). We had the Leberkäs with fried eggs and fried potatoes. Ketchup wasn't necessary. We'll be back there next week.

On Sundays the restaurant closes at 10 p.m. At 9:45 p.m. it was no longer possible to get anything to drink because the counter had already been cleaned. Simply disappointing after a 4 hour journey.

We arrived on Sunday lunchtime 5 minutes before the kitchen closed and were still asked if we wanted to eat something or just drink something. Of course we wanted to eat and drink something. We were politely assigned a great table and were served promptly and very courteously. We were able to choose our food in peace. The drinks and our food came quickly and accurately. Very good atmosphere - super friendly service and top food.
