Hof Holm in Schönberg (Holstein)

A very beautiful, lovingly designed little hotel. I felt right at home. It's a shame I was only here for one night.

The rooms are very spacious, clean, and thoughtfully furnished, and the breakfast is phenomenal! I received the key upon arrival from a key safe. There is ample parking, and the beach is a 15-20 minute walk away. It's not very busy in November. The hotel is very dog-friendly.

We stayed one night in the annex building. Across from the hotel is an Italian restaurant where we could eat because the kitchen/restaurant is closed on Thursdays. We received the key to our room using a code. It wasn't large but was extremely well-equipped. Excellent value for money. Everything was well thought out. The toilet and shower were spotless. The temperature was a bit high and difficult to lower. We briefly opened the door to the outside because it was too hot to sleep. In the morning, we had an excellent breakfast in the main building. The service was friendly. A place to remember.

We stayed there for one night. The rooms were small, but furnished with great attention to detail. It was very clean and well-maintained. The breakfast was plentiful, and the rolls and croissants were fresh. Fresh scrambled eggs were made upon request. We would gladly return.

I've been to Hof Holm several times now, both in the main house and the beach house next door. The rooms in the beach house are nice but small. The room in the main house was very nice, but the exact weekend I was there was a wedding being celebrated there, so it was very loud right below us thanks to the DJ. There were shaking sounds, etc., and that went on until 2:30 a.m., which is normal for a wedding celebration, of course. However, if you're a guest who wants to relax and sleep there on that particular weekend, it's obviously a shame. It would be good if guests were informed that a wedding party would be there at the same time, so they wouldn't have the chance to look for alternative accommodation when they actually need peace and quiet. Breakfast is very limited and small, but that's okay.

We had a great time; everything was so pleasant and wonderful. We felt very comfortable.

Quiet location, about 15 minutes walk from the beach, restaurants nearby.

Extremely loud – no information about a wedding! We booked this hotel for a quiet overnight stay on our onward journey – €150 per night. Instead of relaxation, we experienced a loud wedding party right outside our room that went on late into the night. No advance notice, no apology, no consideration – and completely unbearable with a small child. Sleeping was impossible. Zero transparency. Had we known there was a wedding taking place, we would never have booked. Completely unacceptable for a hotel that promises relaxation. Never again.

I spent one night there as a cyclist. There's a great, lockable bike shed on site. The room was very clean, spacious, and comfortable. A bowl of candy sweetened my arrival, and there was also a bottle of seltzer water. A coffee machine and tea were available free of charge. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Freshly prepared egg dishes and specialty coffees were available at no extra charge. The hotel is very quiet and very close to the beautiful beach. I was very satisfied and would have liked to stay longer.

A very nice hotel, very nice rooms, and easy walking distance to the sea, but that's the only positive thing. Reception is almost never staffed; if you have any questions, you either get the door slammed in your face (yes, you read that right, the door was simply slammed in a totally annoyed manner during the conversation) or a completely annoyed answer. I'm sorry we had questions during our stay; unfortunately, we weren't lucky enough to arrive during reception opening hours (8:00-11:00). Restaurant: Good breakfast, but the staff, like those at the reception, were absolutely unfriendly, rude, and irritable. You don't feel at home at all. We got married that weekend, booked three rooms, and wanted to have a great time. Unfortunately, the staff repeatedly disappointed and saddened us, so we only stayed at the hotel to sleep so we wouldn't have to deal with them again. You're kind of on your own; there's a little book in your room with all sorts of addresses, from hairdressers to florists, so you can leave the staff alone. We definitely won't be coming back and won't recommend the hotel to anyone.

Booked for a few days, arrived at the hotel too early (our fault), but had a little chat with the MA present, super friendly. We really liked it, room 1 perfect, dogs are allowed, for a small fee, understandable. We say thank you very much and keep it up.

Went there to visit someone in the rehabilitation clinic next door over the weekend. Rooms and service 1A+!! Restaurant was on holiday but the other one continued. I think it's very good to make such a nice, delicious breakfast despite there being fewer visitors. And service accordingly. Fresh scrambled eggs or fried eggs offered. Rooms tidy, clean. And staff very polite, accommodating. Can only be recommended. Also highly recommended for holidaymakers due to the location. Hence the full number of stars. Which is actually still not enough.

Traveled spontaneously. Reviews felt good and were actually surprised. A really good place, with rooms that could be copied from the last 4 star hotels I visited. Old and new combined. Comfy bed with even more comfortable sofa in the room. We felt very comfortable and the beautiful path through the salt marshes to the beach was a pleasure. Also the really nice breakfast in a nice atmosphere and the friendliest service. Little tip: Do you definitely go to Anno 17? (forgot the year, sorry) and let your taste buds be seduced. Combined with the authentic manner of the co-tenant, you will certainly have fond memories of the evening. Straight 5 stars.

An idyllic house in a quiet location where you can feel good. From the uncomplicated check-in, great spacious rooms, which are lovingly decorated with water and sweets. The owners and employees are concerned about the well-being of the guests. A renovated house from around 1750 and so it was The restaurant/breakfast room has also been prepared...this is where old and new come together perfectly, tastefully and stylishly...we were only there for 2 days...but we enjoyed ourselves Felt comfortable all around. Thank you for that!!

Very nice welcome, great room in the annex building with its own entrance. The room was very well maintained and comfortably furnished.

I would like to give more stars than the given 5... it was a really nice and relaxing stay, an incredibly clean house and the rooms were perfect. Breakfast buffet absolutely sufficient and with a lot of love. Price performance absolute class. It was definitely not the last time I was there. Next time I'll bring you a few stars and personally screw them onto the facade.

As picturesque as described in a novel!

We were there for one night. Our room was in the next building. Reminds me of a USA motel, open the outside door and you're in the sleeping area. The room is modern and nicely decorated. In a small space you can find a table, chair and bedside tables + water table on the wall. The bathroom was clean and modern, but it couldn't be any smaller. The sink is borderline small. I thought underfloor heating and modern controls were great! I would also like to praise the seating in front of the building; if the weather was nice you would have found me there. The main house is also beautiful, typical of the region. The service was very good, everyone was friendly and in a good mood. There wasn't a huge selection at the breakfast buffet, but as a European you can actually find everything you need. The rolls are great!!! Real bakery goods! I recommend the restaurant in the main building, we were very enthusiastic about the beef and zander fillet. There was also a good wine. The very good service rounded everything off. Small drawback, the gliders under the chair legs are unpleasantly loud, please replace them.

I just spontaneously stayed in the small country hotel for an overnight stay and felt very comfortable there. Although some of the room details and the bathroom are no longer completely up to date, they somehow fit in with the beautiful old building. The dinner in the restaurant and the corresponding wine were very good. During breakfast you can look out over the fields in one part of the restaurant and I received gluten-free rolls despite booking at short notice the day before. I really liked the friendly, courteous service and the atmosphere in the house is pleasantly familiar and relaxed. Even in summer, thanks to the garden with beach chairs, it is certainly a quiet alternative to the aging hotels on Schönberger Strand.

Price-performance ratio fits. Room bigger than expected. The rooms would also be suitable for a longer stay for two. Room and bathroom furnished with great attention to detail.

Beautiful large and clean room with bathroom, plus 2 points of criticism: Only a mini sink and the smoking area was directly under the window, which was unpleasant. The breakfast was good for a long weekend, but for a longer period it would have been too monotonous for us. A very friendly young woman did the breakfast service. The restaurant offers fine cuisine, a small menu also with seasonal dishes, sounded good; But we always came back full in the evening and therefore didn't eat there. The location was ideal for us, it was wonderfully quiet in the evenings/nights.

A certainly nice wedding party of other guests kept the atmosphere going until after 2 a.m

Everything is fine BUT: Below us was the hall with a wedding party until well after 2:00 at night. The room was booked purely for sleeping...we arrived around 11:30 p.m. It was incredibly loud with bass that was incredibly loud and made sleeping impossible. Opening the window was impossible...as we were directly above it. The next day with 4 hours of sleep and a 6 hour drive ahead of you given the prices...that's not okay. This is not possible at an overnight hotel. We were neither informed about this...nor was there a decision...just an indifferent one: I'm sorry. And with an overnight room... that's not possible. So before booking, check whether RemmiDemmi is downstairs in the hall...then don't book...the room was ok!

We felt very comfortable. A very nice accommodation perfect for us, those looking for peace and quiet! A courteous and professional staff. We have to deduct one star for the sink in the bathroom, which is much too small and is more of a hand basin, which is due to the lack of space in the bathroom. Unfortunately, washing your face and shaving was not possible here without flooding the entire bathroom. We would also have liked a change of bed linen during our stay of over a week in midsummer. This would certainly have been fulfilled if we had asked, but this is also to be expected with a stay of 10 days. Overall, it was a relaxing and unforgettable holiday on the beautiful Baltic Sea.

The hotel has been renovated with attention to detail. The spacious rooms are very bright and friendly. The on-site parking is free. In the bathroom there is a hairdryer, a large and a normal towel. The breakfast is varied and well stocked. Scrambled or fried eggs can be freshly prepared upon request. The staff is consistently very friendly. The beach is about 1 km away, on the way there is a mini golf course including bike rental, as well as a small number of shops, Edeka, bakery, fish and decoration/gift shop. I can definitely recommend the hotel.

Very cute, small, bright room with a walk-in shower. I felt really comfortable. Ideal for one night if you are a patient at the Ostseeklinik and have a long journey. We recommend.
