The sushi still tastes best at Hiro Sakao. Despite many new sushi restaurants now. Service friendly and quick. Only the tables are sometimes quite close to each other, so a star deduction for ambience.

Definitely worth a visit and will be a place to try over and over again! The food is on point, sit back and enjoy watching the chefs prepare the sushi rolls and taste a great combination at the end… varsity is wide and interesting and would definitely tease your senses… the staff is very friendly and great with timing there service without being pushy… one comment though! Slicing the rolls needs to be more even 🙈

Lunch bento with duck. Haven't been here for a year. Duck was tough and the three pieces of sushi were cut very narrowly and fell apart. We knew it differently/better here. Maybe under new management? Could have been a bad day.

It was the first time I had been to Hirosakao in Fürth for a long time. It used to be quite expensive but now the prices are absolutely exorbitant! For example, charging almost 5 euros for a simple cappuccino is really outrageous. Furthermore, the ambience is not nice at all. We were first seated at a table where we almost sat on the laps of the people sitting next to us because everything is so tightly packed. Having a private conversation like that unthinkable. When another table became available, we moved. The service is also very impersonal. There are now much nicer, significantly better priced other Asian restaurants with a high quality of food selection!

For Valentine's Day, it's probably better to go somewhere else because tables intended for groups have been restructured to 4x2, which means there's hardly any space and 3 strange couples at the table. Due to the number of couples, the service is of course reduced accordingly. Otherwise good sushi but for a price that is too high in my opinion.

February 2025: Very tasty sushi and a very large selection. Open counter, you can watch it being prepared, great! Super coordinated and friendly service. We dined there on Valentine's Day with a reservation. The whole room was TOTALLY full of tables. People constantly coming and going. It felt like you were at the main train station... There wasn't even a hand's width of space between the tables. Not very pleasant! It's a shame that every square centimeter seems to have been used to generate sales... We then sat down at the bar. Food was delicious ☺️ As long as it's not a celebratory day, I'll happily go there again! ❤️

I was there for the first time on Valentine's Day and I was absolutely thrilled 🥰 Even though it was full house and we even stood in the queue in front of the door (despite a reservation), the staff was very nice and you still felt welcome and well served. Prices are appropriate for the quality. I would go there again at any time to treat myself to something great.

Unlikely, full. Mass processing table to table is not comfortable. It's very loud, a shame. We didn't really feel very comfortable. It should be noted that table water is basically a carafe of tap water for seven euros and on the bill, instead of the coffee ordered, there was a cappuccino for €4.90.

I would like to give you some feedback on your “Natsumi” role. Unfortunately, I noticed that the price of the roll has increased but the quantity has decreased. The roll used to be very thick and filling, but now it's just small pieces so I can hardly enjoy it. I would really appreciate it if you could fill the roll a little thicker again. This would greatly improve my dining experience and I would like to visit your place more often.

The food is simply delicious. Large selection of food. Always tastes perfect. The large restaurant is always full to capacity, so be sure to make a reservation. Rather unsuitable for a quiet and cozy evening out for dinner. The volume in the restaurant is correspondingly high. Parking is huge, but when it's busy you still have to allow time. Overall great 👍

Food took forever to arrive. I got my food before my girlfriend and she had to wait another 10 minutes. Food tasted okay. Something was billed incorrectly and then the lady ran after us again and stopped us from leaving the farm because of €2 that still had to be paid. That was very unnecessary. But the atmosphere is very nice.

The food here is really, really good and the service is good. Nevertheless, unfortunately a star deducted because of the really high prices. I'm really sorry about that, but I really don't see it in proportion. Nevertheless, I can still recommend the restaurant.

The sushi is undoubtedly very tasty and beautifully prepared. Every time I've eaten at a Hiro Sakao it tastes very good. Service very nice and accommodating. The restaurant is very nicely designed, but it does have a bit of a cafeteria vibe that I personally don't like.

Man sitzt ganz gut im Freien, jedoch ist die 'Einrichtung bewußt preiswert 'gestaltet'. Der Service ist nett, jedoch kam das Hauptgericht früher als wir mit der Vorspeise fertig waren, daß sollte eher nicht passieren! Wir wählten als Wein-Begleitung einen Lugana (der stolze 9,30€/ Glas kostete) und der vermutlich PRO FLASCHE WENIGER als den GLASPREIS KOSTET, was in dieser Konstellation schon eher dreist ist, da der Wein wirklich viel zu einfach schmeckte und war! Man sollte Lokale mit dieser Gewinnmaximierung NICHT ERNEUT BESUCHEN! Die Speisen waren eher gut, aber nicht 'outstanding', wobei die Vorspeise, die wir uns teilten: Moriwase Tempura, ausgesprochen reichhaltig war, dafür die Kazumi Hosomaki wirklich nicht besonders, im Sinne von gut, schmeckten. Daher: Bedingt empfehlenswert, jedoch haben wir schon, bei kleinerem Tarif, deutlich besser gegessen und getrunken!

Lunch experience: Now completely overpriced - food quality is still top. I now think that charging 16.90 for the salad with sashimi is sporty. But charging 3.60 for an extra portion of salad dressing is outrageous. Even a glass of “Homestyle Originals” lemonade for 8.90 is clearly beyond the scope here. You're still sitting in Fürth in the industrial area/shopping center and not on the Côte d'Azur :)

I've been eating here again for a while to celebrate a birthday. In my opinion, the sushi rolls have become smaller, which doesn't detract from the taste. However, the prices are almost outrageous for both drinks and food. In addition, there was a closed party inside that day with karaoke, so you couldn't really enjoy the food outside because of the noise. If you had at least mentioned this when making the reservation it would have been fine. What a shame! Then I'd rather go to Cozy on Sigmundstrasse :-)

I was there at lunchtime. Food is top. Service takes a while. The waiters come to take your order, and if you want something else, they only come when you draw attention to yourself.

Sushi in general and lunch bento have been great for many years. The prices - especially for drinks - have unfortunately become very expensive, which is a shame!

Wir waren sehr oft im Hiro Sakao. Für uns alle war es das beste asiatische Essen in Nürnberg Fürth und Umgebung. Anscheinend hat der Inhaber gewechselt. Die Qualität des Essens hat extrem nachgelassen. Die Preise sind uferlos überzogen. Ein Glas Wein Lugano 0,2 Liter kostet 9,50€. Das Essen ist maximal durchschnittlich. Der Service ist unfreundlich und plump. Es gibt in Nürnberg und Umgebung einige bessere Restaurants. Sind eigentlich sehr traurig darüber unseren Lieblings Asiaten verloren zu haben. Spontaneously had my first visit there because I had heard a lot of good things about it. The sushi was highly recommended to me, but that day I decided to try the soups. Together with the starter, everything was very good and the service from the waiters was also very friendly and quick. I would go there again at any time and advise everyone to do it.

We were there on a Sunday evening and luckily got a table in the corner; the open space makes it very loud in the restaurant. The sushi was really tasty but very expensive! In contrast to other restaurants, it wasn't particularly well presented. As a drink I can recommend the Guava Passion! However, also €8.90 per glass.. Really not bad in taste. But I've gotten better sushi for the price.

The food is always great and there are vegan dishes. The service is very on point and friendly. The only drawback is the distance between the tables for two, there could really be a little more distance because I don't want to take part in the other table's conversation. In addition, when I last visited this week, the two women's toilets were actually both unusable, one was blocked and the lock on the other had broken out and could not be locked. Still one of the best sushi restaurants in the area.

We were there on Saturday evening. Our sishi was excellent, the service was very friendly. But the drink prices are completely exorbitant. And the atmosphere resembles a canteen during peak hours. You sit shoulder to shoulder with other restaurant visitors. Zero privacy, an unbearable noise level. This is not an experience, but a mass processing, pure money-making. There are better sushi restaurants in the Nuremberg/Fürth area with the same level of quality and price.

Really delicious sushi, perhaps one of the best in the Nuremberg/Fürth area, reasonably priced. BUT: Normally I would like to give five stars but have to deduct two stars because of the completely exorbitant drink prices. For example, €6.50 for a beer or €5 for a 0.5 liter of water are completely excessive and, for me, unjustifiable, you don't pay that much in comparable restaurants, even in the best location in Nuremberg!! First of all, the quality of the drinks and sushi was great as usual! Unfortunately the service was disappointing. Once placed, it took 20 minutes before the drinks were taken - particularly unpleasant given the summer heat. Unfortunately, the service was not visible at the table either during or after the meal. It's a shame, I know it differently from Hiro Sakao and I expect service that does justice to the delicious food.

I ate duck with vegetables. The food was good. The waiter was very nice. However, the prices for beer and, for example, non-alcoholic wheat 0.5 liters at a price of 6.50 euros are not acceptable. I wondered why the restaurant was almost empty on Easter Monday. But with these drink prices, no wonder. I think the management should rethink the drinks prices. I will not visit the restaurant again. Because I think the prices for the drinks are way too high. The two of us then ordered a carafe of water for 7 euros. This was carbonated water from the tap. An original bottle of water would have cost 8 euros. Too bad😩

Absolute sushi recommendation. Once you have ignored the district and the surrounding area, you will probably get the best sushi in the area. Not exactly cheap fun but worth the price. A stable bank for years.

Another update on October 31, 2023: If a customer leaves a bad review, 30 will be purchased (fake)! 5 star reviews on top. That's cheating! Therefore, I have now reduced my two star rating to a single star. It's better to eat sushi somewhere else. Update on October 13, 2023: I've been a customer here for about 20 years. Although it is sometimes completely overcrowded and loud (see below). That was my last visit! The prices are now beyond all reason. Very important information at this point: Due to the pandemic, the catering industry still only has to pay 7% VAT for food. Not the usual 19%! This can only be explained by greed. Couple of examples 0.2 l passion fruit juice, price previously €3.80, new price €5 A liter of juice for €1.80 per liter from the wholesaler is simply poured into a glass and then sold for €25 (5 glasses of 0.2l each). 0.3l Cola bottle. Old €3.50 now €4.90 Starter “Zora”, previously €7.90 now €10.90 6 mini spring rolls (starter), previously €6, now €8 Bento box previously €18.90 now €21.90 This applies to all prices... The store has always been expensive. But these prices have now completely skyrocketed. The food itself is very good. Original recession: Worse than a factory farm chicken coop! Most of the tables are lined up without any distance and the rows are so close that coming and going means that others sometimes have to get up. A table has even been placed in the corridor to the toilets. The tables are approximately 1.5 meters next to the entrance door. Without any privacy screen or similar, right next to it. When you sit at a table like this, you can personally greet each of the 300 incoming and outgoing guests (including the dozens of people who collect themselves) per hour with a handshake. The "people" were half sitting on our food. In winter the queue was right out the door! It was 4 degrees outside. The cold hit you while you were eating. As a thank you, you will then receive a bombastic bill. The food is usually very good. This is the most important thing when eating, but the atmosphere unfortunately ruins your appetite... And mostly good means that when things are hectic, the quality of the food is often poor. Short conclusion. Food is usually great, atmosphere is just as often a flop. It is more recommended at a quiet time. The owner should urgently make improvements here. After all, this isn't a kebab shop where a dish costs €5.90

It was my first sushi shop years ago. There were almost none in the region and it was even recommended by the Japanese at the time. Great sushi. The location is no longer as loud as it used to be. Some time ago there was also unlimited tea to refill. Probably not anymore. But not bad. Still a great location and sushi is still YUMMI 🍣 I personally like the bento box because it's not always offered at other locations.
