Always an experience and enjoyment

Completely overwhelmed staff processed our order request by telling us that we should just order something else....that, along with the statement "chosen the wrong door" and "I'd rather eat somewhere else next time", was the worst service I've ever experienced. Maybe it was because there were no tips for the poor service, which he didn't understand. Not recommended, thumbs down!!!!!

Service and ambience were great, food was good, but unfortunately only good.

Zwischen, hier sind sie in der falschen Tür gelandet und bitte nicht wieder, war das Personal überfordert, unfreundlich bis unverschämt. Gäste die neben uns saßen, schüttelten nur mit dem Kopf. Auch ohne die Empfehlung, bitte nicht wieder, stand dies für uns fest.

Wir hatten drei unterschiedliche Gerichte, die alle ausgezeichnet waren. Besonders hervorzuheben sind die ausschließlich regionalen Produkte und die ehrliche, schnörkellose Küche. Die Portionsgröße war genau richtig für ein Mittagessen. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

an absolute recommendation for anyone who wants something special. The menu has a few dishes but they are first class, prepared with a lot of love and have a sensational taste. The operators are polite, humorous and incredibly hard-working. The restaurant was fully booked when we visited, but the two owners had it completely under control and this didn't affect the quality of the food. We were served quickly and it was a wonderful evening.

The restaurant is centrally located in Freiberg and has a well-stocked food and drink menu. The furnishings are straightforward and classically modern. The service is very friendly and accommodating. Food and wine were very good. We felt very well looked after. If we are in the area, we would be happy to come back at any time.

After reading all these good reviews, I was completely excited. But either the chef was on vacation or I got him off on the wrong foot. My Wiener Schnitzel (€28) was completely wrong. A pale, unseasoned potato gratin and rubber chanterelles in a strange cream sauce. Everything “beautified” with 2! torn lettuce leaves and a huge dill cluster. I think you can do better, but it probably wasn't your day. It's just a shame I had to suffer because of it.

Heaven and Hell is a top restaurant. The service is very friendly and very accommodating. The service is first class and the food is very, very tasty. We are always happy to come to you! The Loka is highly recommended.

It's a shame actually. We ate there and couldn't complain about the quality, service and ambience. That was all great. That's why we asked for our wedding, for Pentecost, a year in advance. The answer we received was that we should ask again at the end of the year (Christmas), that's where the holiday planning would be... Asking in December for the following Pentecost is probably a bit late, too bad...

My favorite restaurant in Freiberg. Very high quality food and I really love the concept of regionality and high quality of food. There is also a good vegetarian/vegan menu. 👍🏽☺️

Food, ambience and service very good! Led and lived with heart and mind. Great card, if you're looking for something "different" you'll find it, but classical music lovers will also get their money's worth, all in all consistent.

At 1:01 p.m. we were refused entry and forced out in the most rude manner.

Unfortunately, I can't rate the ambience and food. After we entered the restaurant at 1:01 p.m., we were loudly and rudely yelled at that there was nothing left. When we asked the normal question where we could get something else, there was an indistinct, loud and polite answer and we were even pushed out the door. There was even a loud warning from the waiter that we shouldn't be so rude. We don't need any instructions about the problems in this hospitality industry because we come from the area ourselves. This kind of behavior is unbelievable and unsustainable.

You definitely have to eat here! Very friendly service, lovingly prepared food! A real pleasure!

Very nice service, stylish decor, the food was served quickly. It was regional, freshly prepared, and the waiter was able to inform us about the origins of the dishes and ingredients. Everything was clean and tidy. All around a great restaurant!!

Slow Food and a recommendation led us to this restaurant; we pilgrims on foot on the Saxon Way of St. James from Cologne; a big disappointment; why do you have to accept peppers and corn as a side dish with the main dish in June? Things got worse; a green one! Salad was also served with corn and peppers; In response to our complaint about this, a carelessly prepared iceberg lettuce with a pure sweet mustard dressing was brought as a replacement; further questions were argued by staff; There has to be a bit of decoration. This somehow reminds me of old times 🙈 that staff ; The kitchen also urgently needs additional training!! so that the restaurant can meet its own standards. At the end, even though we left almost €100 behind; felt insulted. Freiberg a great surprise; But unfortunately we cannot recommend this restaurant after the experience.

A really great restaurant in Freiberg. No run-of-the-mill cuisine, but great and delicious combinations of different flavors. The service is really great, not intrusive, but gives great recommendations when asked. We'll definitely be back.

We go to Himmel & Hölle every now and then and are thrilled every time. The menu changes depending on the season and the dishes are prepared with high-quality regional ingredients. The different food creations are always unique and offer a lot of variety. But the main thing is that it tastes great! The relaxed atmosphere and the friendly service make the visit perfect. I can highly recommend a visit!

We had a really great evening in this restaurant. A relaxed and lively atmosphere, two waiters with charm and wit who were always attentive and never intrusive. The food is a poem! Anyone who is open to small taste experiments will get their money's worth here. We recommend booking a table. Heaven and Hell no longer seems to be just an insider tip. We'd love to come back.

A beautiful evening in heaven and hell, although it was more heaven. Nice atmosphere, good service and delicious food. The table by the window allows a view of the Nikolaikirche.

The dishes were very creative and inspiring combinations. We had a direct view of the theater, which was illuminated in the evening, which was very atmospheric. Klare Restaurant-Empfehlung im Herzen der Freiberger Altstadt. Die Karte ist abwechslungsreich und bietet Gerichte abseits des „Standardprogramms“. Die Speisen sind von hoher Qualität und gut zubereitet. Gerne wieder!

Klein, aber fein! Immer eine interessante Karte mit feinenSpeisen. Reservieren lohnt sich, denn an Theatertagen ist es schwer, einen Tisch zu ergattern 😉.

Himmlisch gute Küche zu nicht mal teuflischen Preisen! Sehr niveauvolles Restaurant in Freibergs romantischster Lage neben dem Theater im historischen Nikolai Viertel. Geführt wird das Lokal von zwei leger professionellen Herren, die auch bei vollem Haus jedem Gast ihre volle Aufmerksamkeit widmen. Das schlicht moderne Intérieur trifft nicht ganz meinen Geschmack, aber tut dem rundum gelungenen Abend im Restaurant "Himmel und Hölle" nicht den geringsten Abbruch.

Ein tolles Slow Food Restaurant. Schade das es nicht in Erfurt ist. Wir wären dort Stammgäste. Wenn Wor das nächste mal nach Freiberg kommen, dann werden wir wieder dort essen gehen. Schon lange nicht mehr so außergewöhnlich gegessen. Einen tollen Naturwein, passend zum Essen gab es auch dazu. Sehr zu empfehlen.

Sehr ansprechendes Restaurant. Die Bedienung war seht freundlich und aufmerksam. Tolle, nicht alltägliche Speisekarte, die für jeden Geschmack etwas zu bieten hat. Umfangreiche Getränkekarte ( mit der passenden Beratung). Preis- Leistungsverhältnis ist absolut okay. Wir freuen uns schon auf den nächsten Besuch.

Gehobene Küche mit vielfältiger Auswahl. Viele Zutaten regional bezogen. Die Bedienung ist schon viele Jahre dabei, freundlich und professionell. Obwohl wir verschiedenste Speisen bestellten, mussten wir nicht lange warten. Alles sehr schön angerichtet und lecker. Sehr empfehlenswert.

Sehr empfehlenswert :) die Bedienung war super freundlich und zuvorkommend, das Ambiente auch sehr schön. Das essen ist sehr abwechslungsreich, von vegan bis steak alles dabei. Meine Falafel waren etwas trocken und haben nicht so wirklich wie die falafel geschmeckt, die ich kenne, war aber trotzdem lecker :) preislich gehoben, aber noch in Ordnung.

Leider nicht besonders. Mehr schein als sein. Sehr laut und sehr schlechte Luft. Ich komme da nicht mehr hin...

Wir haben mit der Gaststätte eine sehr gute Wahl getroffen. Alle Gerichte waren ausgesprochen lecker, der Service super und das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis hervorragend. Wir können einen Besuch dort sehr empfehlen.

Bestes deutsche Restaurant in Freiberg. Auch wenn es voll ist, im Restaurant, ist die Bedienung immer freundlich. Essen ist eine Gaumenfreude, mit ausgesuchten, nicht alltäglichen Getränken. Wir kommen sehr gern wieder. Dankeschön für die schönen Stunden, in ihren wunderschönen dekorierten Lokal.
