Delicious and plentiful, friendly service, cozy atmosphere

Always great, we've been going there for a long time. Everything is perfect, and we've never had a bad experience. The staff and the manager are great, and we get along very well. We keep coming back.

Authentic food! Over the summer we stopped by as the restaurant in our hotel was closed on Mondays and we were amazed by fresh and big amount of food we got. We ordered a plate for 2 (but easily it could be shared between 3-4 people) of meat, prawns and fish with delicious spinach. Also the salad buffet is a great idea to start the meal with! Our child loved the prawns! Thank you! Good luck for the next 50 years of business!

The food was excellent. My steak was grilled to perfection, juicy, and very tasty. The same goes for the other dishes. The salad was fresh and varied at the buffet. The service was also excellent, and we didn't have to wait for our drinks or food. All in all, we were very satisfied again and can highly recommend the Hilbecker Hof!

We were passing through when this restaurant caught our eye. The ambiance pleasantly surprised us. The staff greeted us at the entrance and showed us to a table we immediately liked. After about five minutes, we were handed our menus and our drink orders were taken. Our food was served 20 minutes after ordering by very friendly staff. The prices are not cheap, but rather affordable and commensurate with the quality. My conclusion: highly recommended. Our next visit is already planned.

We were very surprised to find ourselves as the only guests in the restaurant. The food was fresh, hot, and of excellent quality. The service was very friendly and attentive. We'd be happy to come back.

We were at the Hilbecker Hof 5 years ago, and we were absolutely thrilled. Unfortunately, we have to revise this review. Today I was very disappointed. The wrong dishes were brought, so half of us had to wait another 15 minutes, by which time the others had already finished eating. I was also really shocked by the amount for the price. The meat was too dry. Not good value for money. What a shame... we won't be back! Based on the owner's reaction to the negative reviews, you can tell he doesn't seem to care.

I've been going to the Hilbeckerhof for 20 years, and today was my last visit, May 21, 2025. From the salad bar, where there's only half the selection, to the ambiance, which was in need of a facelift, to the main course (my champignon cream schnitzel looked like a pancake with salty gruel), I was extremely disappointed. Everything on my friend's grilled meat was overcooked, the liver was cooked through, the fillet was dry, as was the steak – very disappointing. The service was OK, but the staff were unfortunately not open to criticism. I am extremely disappointed with the Hilbeckerhof and will never recommend this place again. Sad.

Super delicious food in a nice atmosphere. What was a bit annoying was that we didn't get a farewell aperitif despite the bill being over 230 euros.

There were five of us there. The food was okay but not great. We've had enough. After the first round of drinks, no one thought to ask again. In general the staff was rather reserved. The salad bar was okay at best. Lots of flies, all containers open. It's nicely decorated inside, but unfortunately noise from the street outside is rather unpleasant. The small playground with a meadow for children is nice. Very small offer for vegetarians with two dishes, not even a vegetarian pasta option.

Had dinner here with the kids today. Great weather, the kids played carefree outside. There is a nice fenced playground. The food was delicious and our steak was cooked to perfection. There was also a soup of the day beforehand. Thanks for the great service. The boss is very warm and very attentive. We'll be back.

The food was delicious. The portions were reasonable. The price was a bit high but still acceptable. The obligatory schnapps was not offered. What I found very commendable is that the food we didn't manage to eat was packed for us.

Food was ok, service was absolutely unfriendly and you felt unwanted. They also offer salad (it would be included in menus) and charge extra for it.

We came here spontaneously. Good quality steak grilled twice to the desired point - very good. Grilled vegetables were also great. The fried potatoes and beans were a bit too greasy and the sour cream in the otherwise delicious open potato unfortunately didn't taste good. We'll be back.

Price is ok but everything is delicious and worth eating there

It was better there. Relatively large portions, but taste bland, and also a lot of convenience. As the restaurant became more crowded, the service was hectic, inattentive, brought ice cream on the house for the regular guests and completely ignored the other guests at the table. There was no question whether they also wanted dessert or a drink. It doesn't work at all! The toilet is so...cold in contrast to the well-heated dining room, I didn't want to have to change a baby there. The restaurant as a whole is getting old, okay, but you don't have to carelessly put half-withered flowers in cloudy water on the table. Somehow this visit left me a bit perplexed, it wasn't really bad but it didn't compare to before, when the restaurant was run even more lovingly and attentively.

The fries were extremely hard, unfortunately inedible. The meat was rather dry, and the grilled vegetables were too salty. Very disappointing despite many good reviews...

Very friendly staff, delicious food. Only 1 star deducted for our seat because we sat next to a group who were talking very loudly. The food there is always very good.

Despite free tables and guests leaving the restaurant, the "boss" refused to give us a table for two at 5:30 p.m. Thanks for that.

Great restaurant. Friendly, fast staff, always on top of things. Despite a full house, we got our food within about 40 minutes... 2 plates per plate for six people... great timing. Drinks were good (separate menu), salad bar excellent, dessert took a while but was okay. As I said, the place was completely full. Price/performance absolutely good. Wir waren mit sechs Personen dort. Sehr schöne Sitzgelegenheiten im Wintergarten. Freundliche Personal. Ob wohl es schon sehr voll war, waren wir über den schnellen Servive Überrascht..Getränkekarte sehr gut. Speisekarte doch sehr vielfältig..sicher für jeden was dabei. Wir bestellten 2 x Diplomatenplatte für 2 Personen, und einmal Teufelsplatte für 2 Personen..und waren wirklich begeistert. Alle drei Platten kamen zeitnah und gleichzeitig..sehr schön angerichtet. Salatbar vollständig und sehr sauber. Dessert klasse "Vanilleeis mit Kirsche"..einfach alles klasse.. Wir waren sehr zufrieden und werden sicher nochmal wiederkommen. Einen Minuspunkt muss ich leider geben..es gab leider keinen Ouzo/Julica vor oder nach dem Essen..-ansonsten Respekt-1A+++ Meinolf K.

The Hilbecker Hof has done this. Finally no more frozen vegetables but delicious grilled vegetables. The meat is the finest. The atmosphere is much nicer and the staff is super accommodating. Anytime again 👌🏼

Had a reservation but then found out at the door that it was a day off. We weren't informed. Mess!

We had an appointment and when we got there it said on the door that it was a day off. But nothing was said on the phone about the rest day. Great birthday surprise.. 🙄😒

Had lunch here today with our regular guests. Great selection of food and drinks. Our food was very tasty and we can only recommend eating there again. Open daily from 11.30am.

I wouldn't eat there again. It's not like it used to be.

Located on the busy B 63 - noise only outside

Ich kann die schlechten Bewertungen nicht nachvollziehen. Wir waren an drei Tagen zweimal im Hilbecker Hof Essen. Das Lokal war sehr gut besucht. Essen Steaks und Schweinefilet sehr schmackhaft. Die Hühnersuppe und der Palatschinken hervorragend. Die Bedienungen super freundlich!!

The restaurant is a bit dark in the entrance area, but the winter garden and outdoor area are very cozy. We ordered the diplomatic platter, the meat and side dishes were very tasty. The staff was attentive and friendly, we would love to come back!

We were 2 couples and had an evening with very tasty food (both meatless and with meat), extremely attentive staff, in a pleasant atmosphere. Being able to sit outside was great. We can recommend the restaurant with a clear conscience!

Spontaneously visited on Saturday evening: no reservation required, very friendly, tasty food (and more...) as well as great service, perfect price!

Since we weren't enthusiastic about it years ago, we wanted to give the new tenants a chance. Unfortunately it was far too hectic. One waiter kept running back and forth. We also had to wait a long time for the drinks. My friends and husband's food was good, but mine was underwhelming. For 26.50 I got what is shown in the picture. In addition, my medallion was tough, the minced steak looked like it was crazy and the cordon bleu looked like it was formed. I was there last time.

Da wir vor Jahren nicht begeistert waren wollten wir den neuen Pächtern eine Chance geben. Leider war es viel zu hektisch. Der eine Kellner rannte immerhin und her. Zudem mussten wir lange auf die Getränke warten. Das Essen meiner Freunde und Mann ging, aber meins war nicht überzeugend. Für 26,50 bekam ich das bißchen was auf dem Bild zu sehen ist. Zudem war mein Medaillon zäh, dass Hacksteak wie durchgedreht und das Cordon Bleu wie geformt. Ich war das letzte Mal da.

Today we went to the Hilbecker Hof again. There's really nothing to complain about about the food, it's simply delicious and recommended. The only thing that wasn't so good was that you didn't even have time to take a quick look at the menu that had just been brought out before ordering your first drinks. Oh yes... what do you mean here about ordering the first drinks, after that we didn't get anything, even though the glasses were visibly empty at the edge of the table. When I ordered the food I had already finished my beer and ordered a red wine with the meal, but it never arrived 😞 I reminded the young man who later served us the food, and even then nothing happened, and I waved to the gentleman who served the drinks, no reaction 😞, and no one came along while serving the others tables and asked if everything was to our satisfaction, even though people walked past us very often. Now I'm sitting on my terrace and have poured myself a red wine........you're already used to there being no nightcap from the house anymore and so with this service today there won't be any tips anymore. I can't say yet whether I'll go to the Hilbecker Hof again

It's a shame, a shame... we've always really enjoyed eating there, but unfortunately the quality and presentation of the food has deteriorated... plus the prices are completely exorbitant. Unfortunately, the atmosphere is no longer what it used to be.

Nice welcome Steak platter for 2 people was very good. Extra requests were no problem at all. Flambéed pancakes, which weren't even on the menu, were implemented very well. Thank you very much for the friendly hospitality. We always like to come back.

We have been guests at the Hilbecker Hof for 30 years. Despite the change of ownership, the quality has not changed. The food is always very fresh and plentiful. The service is always friendly. As usual, there is always a bargain at the end. Unfortunately the prices have risen a bit, which is understandable at the moment.

No culinary delights but a very good price-quality ratio. Various options, something for everyone, good meat, all main courses (also good schnitzels!) on the menu include a salad from the salad bar. Our regular stopover from the Netherlands to Winterberg!

We ate here with 3 people and were very disappointed. We were looking forward to asparagus and got 5 sticks that had been cooked for too long with a few dollops of sauce with salmon (dry) or mini schnitzel and a side salad made from raw vegetables and various vegetables from the jar. But the prices are juicy. The menu on the website promises a lot, but is drastically shortened on site! It was much better!

Absolutely best staff. Always very friendly and quick. Never intrusive but there when you need them. Food absolutely at a very good level. I can only recommend it.

The food is really good here. The service is also good, just the ambience is a matter of taste. Unfortunately, there are four stars only because the price is not appropriate. The quantities on the plate should then be more, in other restaurants you are full before the end, unfortunately that is not the case here. Otherwise recommended if you don't pay attention to the price.

The diplomats had grill plate, it was the second time there. Very very tasty, very friendly. Wonderful shop, especially for warm days, I can't imagine a better restaurant. So absolute recommendation!

First of all, I can't say anything bad. The food and location were perfect. Service was always friendly and came by often to inquire. Food was also more than sufficient. The rest was happily packed up for us to take with us. Gladly again.

I was there again today after a long time; I used to go there often with my parents. It was always very good there and it is still the same today. I had very tasty pasta with turkey strips and the portion was also good, I felt full. Balkan dishes are mainly served there, but there are also schnitzels, burgers and fish. Salad is available at the open buffet. Everything is fresh. The atmosphere is very nice, in the summer you can also sit outside there. A small playground with swings and slides There is also one for younger guests. The prices are really fair for the quality and the staff is very friendly. Special requests are also flexibly addressed. I can only recommend a visit to this restaurant. I was very satisfied.

Ich habe hier meinen 70.Geburtstag gefeiert.Wir waren 15 Personen zum Kaffee und Abendessen.Alle waren super zufrieden mit dem Essen .Das Personal war völlig stressfrei und sehr freundlich,und, immernoch, trotz vieler Arbeit, ein Scherz auf den Lippen.Vereinbarungen perfekt umgesetzt oder sogar übertroffen,kommen gerne wieder und empfehlen gerne weiter.

We had dinner there with 11 adults and 7 children for a birthday. Personally, I think the ambience is getting old. Drinks order was so-so. Ordered food. Personally, I ordered mix steak. Food came to the table not hot but warm. In my case there was an approx. 8 cm long strip of plastic on my plate under the champions. The pepper sauce was also very watery. Employee ordered and apologized immediately. He also tried to explain to me where it came from. All well and good. But something like that shouldn't happen. Get a new dish without any problems. But I will avoid this store in the future.

We were there for the second time after the new tenant change. Been eating there for over 30 years. Unfortunately the quality is no longer what it was. The meat was too fatty and the schnitzel was fried in the pan and very greasy, not possible. The Cevapcici rice ball tasted like nothing. No spices, not juicy, no tomato pieces. The rice ball used to be the big highlight at Hilbecker Hof, simply great. And the fries were only mildly seasoned. A pity !

Wir wurden freundlich begrüßt und haben am Samstagnachmittag auch spontan einen Tisch bekommen. Die Bedienung war schnell und aufmerksam. Das Essen (Champignonschnitzel) schmeckte sehr gut. Es ist möglich mit Visa Karte zu bezahlen.

Außergewöhnlich herzlicher und netter Service, sehr gutes Essen. Einziger Kritikpunkt ist das das Essen heißer hätte sein können. Trotzdem klare Empfehlung.

Sehr gutes Essen zu einem sehr günstigen Preis. Wir waren sehr positiv überrascht. Das Essen wurde schnell aufgenommen und sehr schnell gebracht. Spitze! Es war unglaublich lecker. Die Sitznischen vorn in der Gaststube sind etwas eng, korpulentere Gäste sollten in den Anbau gehen. Insgesamt sehr empfehlenswert, wir kommen gerne wieder.
