HH Asia Gourmet Trier in Trier

Great experience in this restaurant that I discovered during a lunch during a stay in Trier. The dishes are original and tasty, the portions generous and therefore good value for money! The atmosphere in the basement where the restaurant is located is nice and the decor magnificent, we are transported to the Orient!

One of the best sushi I've ever eaten. Highly recommended!

Unfortunately, under the new management, the restaurant has fallen into a significantly lower league. The menu appears to have errors, the Wi-Fi doesn't work, and the food has become standard fare and is no longer served at the same time when several people are at a table. You have to ask for small things like sugar for tea. It's fitting that the bill is only displayed on a device and no receipt is provided. Not bad, but miles away from the old reviews for its predecessor, HH Asia.

I always enjoy coming here. The food is delicious, served with friendly service, and always plentiful! The ambiance is lovely too; it's hard to believe what they've done with this formerly gloomy place. And dogs are welcome too!

Presentation excellent. Food fantastic. Lemonades are so good. The only thing I can say I didn’t like was how dark it is for the atmosphere. (It’s just not something I like) I got a ginger lemonade and it was sweet. Very good. They are kid friendly and have high chairs if needed. The staff is so nice and you won’t feel rushed to order. I will definitely be going again. We had a larger group so we got reservations. I’d recommend making a reservations even for two because they can get pretty packed.

Fantastic, the best restaurant I've ever eaten at. Everyone was friendly, the food was amazing, and it looked wonderfully Japanese. When they brought the food, they placed a kind of glass on the table and let a kind of steam come out of it—awesome.

The many positive Google reviews piqued our interest, but our experience was rather mediocre. The quality and presentation of the food didn't really convince us—solid, but nothing special. The staff was a bit inattentive at times, and the cash-only payment policy is outdated. The food was okay, neither bad nor outstanding. Overall, a neutral impression. We suspect that the many positive reviews may date back to the time of a previous operator—our visit didn't quite reflect that.

Yes and no My dish (Thai curry with shrimp) was good, but nothing more. When the restaurant was still called "Asia Gourmet," it was much better. The staff is very friendly. The ambiance is now pink, which seems more like a carnival to me, but if you like it... What's extremely annoying is a bell that rings every few minutes, and not very quietly. It's not the usual "ping" when the kitchen announces that a dish is ready, but it sounds a bit like a bicycle bell. I think this was my last visit there for the time being, as there are better alternatives. I can't comment on the sushi or the quality of the takeaway dishes.

Fantastic restaurant, delicious food. It's only nice if you go with other sushi lovers because you order the sushi by the roll (8 pieces). But the prices are very reasonable and the quality is excellent.

We've been going here regularly for years and getting our food regularly. It's a consistent experience for us – it's always delicious! And if something doesn't work out, which rarely happens, they find a good solution.

Good sushi for a fair price and friendly staff.

The food was fine. The sushi was very good. The fusion side was honestly a bit less good, but still good. The service was truly terrible. Although everything on the menu is in English, the waiters don't speak English, which we personally found a shame. My friend got his sushi quite quickly, while I had to wait another 15 minutes for my udon noodles. You can only pay with cash, so I recommend bringing cash if you plan to eat here.

The best sushi I've ever eaten. The lemonade was a taste experience in itself. 10/10, we'll be back.

Unfortunately, I can't recommend it. The hot dishes were quite tasty, but the sushi wasn't good. The wrappers were poorly wrapped, the fish had little flavor, and the rice was too cold. The women's restrooms were also bad. One door was broken, and the other didn't close at all. I wouldn't recommend eating here.

July 7, 2025 Before the takeover and name change to "Omely," it was an excellent restaurant with first-class service. Now, the new website has an incomplete imprint, and only cash payments are accepted on-site – the original operator accepted all types of card payments. It's a real shame that this restaurant no longer exists in its current form. Perhaps I'll give it a chance in the future. At first glance, however, it seems like a major downgrade.

Delicious food. We had some trouble with the menu but eventually ordered a starter and 2x set of 8 inside out sushi pp. It was delicious, nicely served on a large plate and super fresh. Definitely recommended and cozy location in a kind of old wine cellar.

Definitely recommended... The sushi is simply amazing. A bit more expensive, but freshly prepared (you can watch it being made). Delicious, beautifully presented. I'd happily spend more. The soups are also simply delicious. If you don't want sushi, there are plenty of other Asian alternatives. They have their own flavor (reminds me of Thai) and not the same uniform Chinese taste. The house-made lemonades are highly recommended. And by the way... I love that there's no cell reception there... you actually have to talk 😁😁 No one staring at their phones. Simply great. If you still can't do without, you can log in using the guest access, if it works 🤪

Best Sushi... Vietnamese and home made lemonades since moving to Luxembourg!!!! Well worth the trip... on the edge of the pedestrian area in Trier, therefore good location for an aperitif. They also stock Apel Mosselle wines and the staff are super attentive, kind and real masters of cuisine..... not Jack's of all Asian cuisine which we see way too much in Luxembourg! We has the Pho which had an excellent base soup.... wantons, Vietnamese spring rolls and steamed prawn dumplings which were all clearly made by hand and with love and care. Our kids enjoyed sushi platters which were beautifully presented. Keep going guys you are really doing great and should be very proud of what you've created in Trier!

Incredibly good food at a price that surprises you positively these days. The service is very friendly and you feel well looked after. I can particularly recommend the beef steak with king prawns.

Lots of choice. The food was delicious but the sushi falls apart very easily. There was a lot of noise. It was asked to pay in cash because of "technical problems" but the waitress didn't give any change back. It's not appropriate that customers are forced to leave their change there That's why I won't go there again

Not authentic food. The taste of the food was okay but Germanized. As a special gag, the food came with dry ice. The service was good. However, cash payment ONLY. No mention of this on the website or booking confirmation. The overall ambience is OK, but the flower decorations are made of plastic.

The food was just great! The dishes are beautifully prepared and taste really delicious. The staff is also very friendly and attentive, so you immediately feel at home. The furnishings create a cozy atmosphere, even if there are no windows. This didn't bother me, but it might be a minor disadvantage for others. Overall, a great restaurant that I would happily recommend!

I was in Trier for work and found the restaurant on Google. It looked very promising. I've been to a few Vietnamese restaurants and this was the best. The quality of the food is excellent. You can tell that the dishes are prepared with passion. The pho was great and the Thai curry was the best I've had so far. An absolute recommendation for those who value quality.

A very cozy little restaurant, in the basement, but it doesn't seem like it in any way. The food was very good and the service too. One small flaw was that the legs of my chair seemed a bit loose. 😂 But otherwise definitely recommended. Price-performance is also very good.

I have visited this restaurant many times, and it has never disappointed me. I’ve mostly tried the sushi plates, and all of them were excellent. The restaurant is located underground, offering a nice atmosphere and tasteful decoration. I definitely recommend it!

There is absolutely no way to make a small special request. Instead of rice, fried noodles were categorically rejected. When I asked why, I just said, "It doesn't work, it's not possible." If I had asked for sauerbraten and dumplings, I would have understood. Absolutely inflexible! Drinks also have to be reordered. Nobody would think to ask. Thank God there are several Asians in Trier.........

My favorite asian restaurant in Trier. Their crispy chicken thigh is just the best, it doesn't matter how you combine it with any dishes (my fav is Peanut Curry) (in other places usually you get crispy chicken breast) Fried udon also tastes so good, it reminds me of the fried noodles streetfood in my home country. I haven't tried their sushis, though.

From the moment you enter staff greets you with sympathy. Place is very nice, but pity is underground. Depends who likes what. I enjoyed a lot how open and nice is the service, then food arrived and we were all happy. Portions are big, fulfilling and presented in interesting towers. We took few different lemonades are all of them were delicious! When I will be around, definitely come by.

The restaurant is brand new, nice and clean, but it doesn't have windows since it is in a basement. Service is professional, nice and fast. Menu is mainly (good) Vietnamese food with typical Japanese and some Thai main courses. Please fix your credit card terminal machine so as you can make all your customers even happier 🙏

Very chic and a suitably good price!! On Valentine's Day there were even heart balloons that you could take with you! Very nice people and the food is served very nicely.

Apparently, Google thought my eleborate review was against their policy. I wrote in an eleborate way how my experience with HH Asia Gourmet was pleasant. It got rejected by Google, and now I have to write a review that is less praising. I went to this restaurant alone and asked if it was possible to get a table for one. This was not a problem. I got seated and ordered food. The homemade lemonade is a very nice refreshing drink. I got the Thai basil lemonade twice. I ordered gyozas and the gourmet surpise dish. Both were delicious. The staff was very friendly and the food was fresh. I will come again next time I visit Trier.

This curry tofu soup helped me back on my feet again several times. You feel so depressed and then you eat that soup and life is all over a sudden so much nicer again. If you feel bad, sad, alone or something go there and order a curry tofu soup. That soup is seriously the best soup I've ever tasted. Also the prices are very reasonable.

The restaurant is very cozy and very nicely and modernly decorated. Service was initially quick, food was served quickly. After the meal, unfortunately no one cleared up without asking, asked for drinks or dessert or anything. Then we went to pay at the cash register and there were at least 5 people behind the counter. They could have responded a little more to the guest. Unfortunately, the waitress couldn't answer our questions, I think it was due to the language barrier. The quality of the sushi was excellent and tasted very good.

Good asian and sushi restaurant. We ordered way too much, but everything was tasty, and we could easily take home the left-overs. The entrance with a lot of old chairs looked a bit strange, but the rest of the restaurant looks good. The service is friendly, the atmosphere really nice. The food is great. We had Vietnamese dishes, dim sum, wonton (wantan), and loads of great sushi. Also make sure to taste the home brewed lemonades.

I absolutely love this place. The food is Vietnamese fusion and it’s pretty good 😍 The mango yogurt drink I got was out of the world: it’s tangy, sweet and creamy. We got a pho, tempura role and stir fried udon. The most beautiful dish was the tempura role: it’s hot and crunchy but full of fresh fish inside. The udon was seasoned very very well. It has the smoky flavor from a wok. The pho was decent. I’ve had better pho but this one is an average dish here. They also came and pour something in the jar and the smoke came out and made it look like cloud in the table ☁️☁️☁️
