Herzstück in Hamburg

My favorite restaurant for breakfast and brunch. The service is always incredibly friendly, a real example for every other restaurant in terms of customer service. Always my pleasure!

We had dinner there at Christmas. The restaurant is cozy and nicely decorated. We were greeted very nicely at the entrance. Our dog was also very welcome. We then sat down at a nice table and ordered. My mother's food was shoved towards her rather than being handed to her. The waitress had a hard time getting to the other side but pushing the food across the table like that really wasn't that polite. Roulades are served in a soup bowl that didn't look that nice. Very ugly on the plate for a Christmas dinner. The duck was very dry and the dumplings were much too small. Schnitzel looked good and the bread tasted way too hard for €4.90. We definitely wouldn't go there again at Christmas. We had imagined it to be completely different and unfortunately we cannot recommend this restaurant.

If you want to have a super-tasty breakfast (or main courses) - for me, THE BREAKFAST MEETING in my hood. Ingredients are so incredibly fresh and the dishes, cereals, eggs, etc. are simply fantastically delicious. Service staff have always been very nice and attentive... but they can certainly be in short supply at peak times. There is one small drawback: the tables are placed very close together to accommodate a maximum number of people. Sometimes less is more ;-) Absolute recommendation!

Great food (the classic tartare in the main course and creme brulee at the end), super nice service and a cozy location. Perfect evening!

The things that most impressed me about this place was that we were able to get a reservation for the table only one day ahead for 9 people. Secondly, it’s true what all the reviews say: the staff is incredibly friendly and interactive. Felt so much warmer than in the majority of other places in Germany!

There were 8 of us there, the food was okay, but the portions at lunch were small and the price was too high. The Belgian waffles with blueberry compote were a disappointment, not worth the price, far too sweet. The banana cake that was advertised was too dry. The service was nice, as was the ambience.

Just WOW! This is my third visit to the centerpiece and it never fails to impress me. The warmth of the team and the quality of the food are exceptional. My business partners that I bring here are also blown away. An absolute insider tip for enjoyment in Hamburg!

We were part of a men's group Centerpiece for dinner. It was from From exceptionally charming and attentive service to dishes prepared with sophistication, everything perfect and worth every cent. Gastronomy that is unfortunately only rarely found anymore.

Breakfast is great, prices are quite high.

Delightful vegan breakfast. I enjoyed it even though I'm not vegan. So I could become one. And friendly, attentive service. I'd love to do it again when I'm in Hamburg.

The restaurant Herzstück is located on Osterstrasse. The service was pleasant, I reserved a table for two people on Saturday evening. The prices are above average, the ambience was nice, the service greets and says goodbye in a friendly manner. Upon request, I had a pot of fresh mint tea with honey 🍯 as a starter, pumpkin soup and the goulash. We don't even come over for breakfast.

The food was excellent but somehow the service was inattentive and slow. No reason not to go back.

The best schnitzel in town ☺️ the service is friendly and it's kid friendly! We like coming here.

We had lunch and coffee with 20 people, including four small children, on the occasion of a big birthday. From the mixed starters, the delicious bread to the main courses and the cake, everyone enjoyed everything. Over the four hours, the service was attentive and charming at all times. Any time!

We were warmly welcomed and served. The overnight bowl and the scrambled eggs are highly recommended.

Yesterday we were at the Herzstück on Osterstrasse again, and what can I say, I just can't complain about anything. Even though we only stopped by for a drink, Chiara served us very courteously - as always. It's always fun to spend time in this restaurant with the friendly staff. So keep it up and thank you very much!

It has been a wonderful place to stay here for years. Great terrace, nice atmosphere and people. The staff is just always charming and cheerful. The last thing I ate was tartare and I can only recommend it. We were very excited. The heart is a piece of home.

The food was very good. The service is a disaster. Two waitresses who were obviously overwhelmed. It was difficult to even get served. Our order was forgotten. It was only brought when asked. Unfortunately there was no apology or anything like that, just an unfriendly “yes, it happens.”

Sat outside for lunch at midday. The service was friendly and courteous, but unfortunately inattentive. After a long wait, the beautifully presented main course unfortunately arrived colder than lukewarm. Since no one asked if everything was OK and there was no service outside, I went into the empty restaurant and asked for the food to be warmed up. Afterwards it tasted OK, but was a bit oversalted and the food was swimming in a puddle of sauce. Given the high price...Unfortunately I can't recommend the restaurant. Too bad.

A sweet place with a pleasant outdoor area and options throughout the day, with a smiling and helpful team. I chose a small breakfast and was satisfied. There were no problems with the quality of the product or the service. Of course, the drinks are served beforehand, but if you want them at the same time as your plate, you can specify so that there are no complaints about it getting cold on busy days :)

Waited six minutes for a placement, no one responded. Opposite at the Junge Bakery, fast and always the best!

Attentive, nice waitresses. Food very good, not cheap, but large portions. In addition to the price, you could perhaps complain about the location at the intersection if you eat outside, but you can always find something if you want.

The food was delicious, but I found the portions to be very small. A piece of bread is a joke. I wouldn't visit again for brunch.

The positive aspects were the delicious food (especially the scrambled eggs on the avocado sandwich), the ambience and the friendly service. The long waiting times and the prices were negative. If you have time (and money), definitely recommended!

Nice cafe with great street seating. The service is friendly and attentive. Sometimes you sit too close to strangers for my taste, so you are forced and inadvertently exposed to private conversations from other guests. I decided on the “Hamburger Morgen”. The plate was nicely presented, the croissant tasted mediocre and another layer of bread was missing. Two slices of cheese, jam, cream cheese and butter are a bit “a lot of toppings” for just one croissant. The homemade jam tasted very good. The service was very friendly. I found the rest to be pretty average.

Just had a very disgusting experience here. Waited at the front to be seated and were ignored multiple times by multiple members of staff. Since the restaurant was empty and we were being ignored, my friends and I took it upon ourselves to sit down at an empty table with no reservation sign. We were then approached by a man with longish dark hair who had an extremely aggressive attitude. This was very threatening as we are three young girls. He was raising his voice and making a point of telling us how we were “breaking his rules”. My friend has seen similar experiences at this establishment with the same man. I really hope management can reflect with him on how he can treat others with basic respect and improve upon his shabby customer service.

Actually great, but it depends on who is working that day. Sometimes rental workers are really fastidious and unfriendly. We have probably eaten the vegetable patch there 20 times and when we took it with us, we simply weighed it out, spooned it out of the portion and put it back so that it weighed exactly 250g. That doesn't work at all! Especially not for the price. It's a shame, that was definitely frightening...

Now finally 5 stars for my favorite restaurant in the neighborhood. I recently went there for dinner with a friend. The food is very tasty and good value for money, the service is attentive and friendly (and I was especially happy about the little spontaneous compliment about my earrings). You'll be happy to come back!

The breakfast was so delicious 😋 a lot of money but it was worth it, something special with the delicious bread and side dishes.

It's actually a very nice place and the food is quite good. So it could be the perfect neighborhood hangout, especially since there's a nice selection all day long. The enjoyment is somewhat marred by three things: 1) the almost ridiculous insistence on allocating tables – even outside (!); 2) the sometimes moderate friendliness of the waitresses - in particular, a younger blonde lady with her hair pinned up stands out because of her condescending behavior; 3) the sometimes adventurous price-performance ratio. For some dishes like the "vegetable bed" the price is right - but the almost 10 euros for a bowl of breakfast cereal or the almost 5 euros for a piece of cake are simply absurd. Likewise the 7-8 euros for a whole 0.15 l of wine (what kind of measure is that??). What's the profit margin - 500 percent?

We arrived at 10:55 on Sunday and got a seat outside without a reservation. We ordered a "breakfast for two" and drinks. The large cappuccino and rolls were brought very quickly. Unfortunately, preparing the bun toppings took another 25 minutes, during which the cappuccino cooled down and the sight of the rolls without toppings was a real test of patience. We were never asked if everything was OK with us. Unfortunately, a breakfast with cold/no cappuccino only tastes half as good. It's a shame about the delicious bun toppings. Relatively expensive in terms of price (two drinks + breakfast €40) and we weren't completely full. There could be 2 small rolls more.

We went for breakfast and the food was delicious. The service was friendly, unfortunately we waited a long time for our two breads and other guests who came later had already received their orders and eaten them. Although the breakfast was great, I wouldn't go there again, but the price-performance ratio is subpar. Scrambled eggs made from 2 eggs with half a slice of bread and half an avocado for €13 are really too expensive. Simply outrageous.

Quite simply: great quality (ingredients!!), great service. And always. Was there over 10 times. That's rare enough in HH. Thank you!

Everything is just right here. Really excellent food, a great, very friendly and flexible team as well as a clean and very suitable atmosphere. A clear recommendation for everyone to try the food here!

Good German food! Maybe a bit expensive, but it's bearable outside in the evening sun.

A perfect Mother's Day breakfast! Reservations were of course necessary, it was full as expected - but the service was attentive, fast and extremely friendly - no one can be put off here... delicious coffee and a great breakfast selection... Tip: the salmon sandwich with 2 scrambled eggs - like Recommended on the menu... plenty of toppings (lots of salmon!) and fills you up... we'll be happy to come back!

The shop is completely empty inside, you are sent away - there is no reservation. With the excuse “if it starts to rain we need space inside” I've always enjoyed eating here, but I've never experienced anything so rude.

Very yummy spot for breakfast and lunch. The staff are super friendly and speak English (helpful for travelers as the menu is Deutsch only). We got the Avocado Toast and Veal Schnitzel - both amazing!!

Both the menu and the portions are a bit small, but the prices are a bit higher. You weren't asked how you would like the steak fried, which I would have expected at this price. But otherwise everything is good. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff and the food was delicious.

Our table wasn't available at the time we reserved, so we had to stand in the door and wait for another 10-15 minutes. It took about an hour before we could order something and breakfast was there. The price for the acai bowl or for the quantity is an absolute joke?! I've never seen so little food on a plate in a restaurant. We had to tell them twice before we were allowed to pay. Never again, I really can't recommend it. So far the worst place I've had breakfast in in Hamburg. But the food itself was delicious. The food in the picture (+ a bread and two mini rolls) cost €16.90.

Definitely a very good breakfast and also nice service, except for one waitress (one with brown hair and black glasses) who was very, very unfriendly…. We had ordered 2 orange juices (apparently freshly squeezed), they were definitely not freshly squeezed but half a bag half fresh. So I kindly pointed this out to the waitress and asked and only got an annoyed and aggressive answer. The waitress was firmly convinced that the orange juice was freshly squeezed (although it was clear that this was not the case)... Very embarrassing when you are already selling different things than what is mentioned on the menu, but then answering cheekily is just unprofessional and not appropriate.

Café and restaurant in the heart of Eimsbüttel. Significantly larger than you would expect from the outside. We were late for breakfast so we had a quick lunch. The service was quick, friendly and attentive. My companion had the Wiener Schnitzel, in his opinion the best thing he has ever eaten. I had the Caesar salad, which was also delicious. We'll be back, next time for breakfast.

There would have been a fifth star if the volume hadn't been so high that it was almost impossible to have a conversation at the table.

I recently had dinner there with my girls. The ambience was very nice and the food was extremely tasty and very attractively presented. Highly Recommended. Unfortunately we felt rushed since we arrived. Officially, according to the homepage, the restaurant is open until midnight and I was wondering why we had to order by 8:30 p.m. at the latest. After the last round started at around 10:30 p.m., we were informed that it would only be open until 11 p.m. due to a lack of staff. That may be everything, but that could have been communicated in a polite manner from the start. So we felt rushed all evening and were almost told that the opening hours online no longer apply for a long time. This gave the visit a negative aftertaste.

The staff was super nice and tried hard - but 5.20 euros for a mint tea??? You can not be serious!

A wonderful restaurant! Such delicious food, great atmosphere, very friendly and attentive staff! I had a Caesar salad, the dressing wasn't quite the classic dressing, but still very tasty! The tartare is particularly recommended! I've never had a better one! An absolute culinary delight! Definitely try it! The truffle fries were also very successful! Also very tasty wines! I definitely have to go back and try some more!

Puzzle: what connects techno music and good food? We don't know and won't come back to sit outside until the summer so that we don't lose our desire to eat because of this annoying music. Because that's good + plenty. Only the grape plörre, which is sold as alcohol-free rosé, is a failure.

Don't go there for coffee at 4:10 p.m. According to the waitress, 50 minutes isn't enough (coffee time would have been over at 5 p.m.). One wonders what a boss would say about customers simply being sent away. In any case, we won't come again.

Highly recommended, we go there regularly and find the food and service very good. Hopefully we will be able to benefit from the terrace again soon ☀️

We were completely satisfied. The breakfast tasted extremely good. The service was extremely friendly and very attentive. It was very busy on Boxing Day and yet there was no rush at all. We received our special requests without any problems. It was my daughter's birthday and I asked for a table in advance, which we actually got, which is not a given.

Absolute recommendation! A really beautiful and lovingly furnished restaurant with high-quality cuisine. The service is quick, attentive and very friendly. We had a wonderful evening. We will be back!

Essen war sehr lecker. Da es sehr voll war, hat es manchmal etwas länger gedauert bis jemand kam, um eine Bestellung aufzunehmen, aber das war voll ok.

Ich war gestern mit einer Freundin dort. Service extrem professionell, Essen sehr lecker, die Empfehlung des Grappa passte und der final probierte Schluck Riesling überzeugte. Obwohl gut besucht, angenehmes Klima. Man konnte gute Gespräche führen ohne seine Stimme zu erheben Kurz um , ein Dank für den Abend und eine klare Empfehlung.

Schön eingerichtetes Restaurant mit gutem Essen. Haben neben Essen zu zweit auch schon ein kleines Event hier gehabt. Alles sehr nett und gut organisiert. Lieben wir.

Auf jedenfall super für ein leckeres Frühstück, Mittagessen oder Abendessen...wir waren super zufrieden. Das Essen war super, der Service sehr freundlich, lediglich etwas chaotisch und es hat sehr lange gedauert bis wir Getränke bestellen konnten, obwohl am Nachbartisch eine Bestellung aufgenommen wurde - der Laden war zu dem Zeitpunkt allerdings auch sehr voll. Ich würde in jedemfall wieder hingehen

So unglaublich zauberhaft! Zum Glück habe ich für Neujahr einen Tisch bei Herzstück bekommen. Mein Besuch aus Bayern - und auch ich - waren total begeistert. Die Location ist absolut stimmig, urgemütlich und sooo einladend. Das Essen (in unserem Fall Brunch) war lecker und super frisch. Am Auffallendsten war allerdings der Service! Ich habe schon ewig nichts dergleichen erlebt - trotz vollem Restaurant waren alle Servicekräfte Zucker. Sooo lieb, mit Witz, Fröhlichkeit und blitzschnellem Einsatz. Jederzeit wieder! Danke für diesen grandiosen Start in das neue Jahr!

Ein Glas frischer Tee kostet 5,20 und das ist meiner Meinung nach so überteuert, dass es frech ist! Das Essen war gut und überschaubar, der Service nett und freundlich.

Ich bin begeistert. Der Espresso war ein fabelhafter Start. Das Frühstück super lecker. Ich liebe Käse. Alles richtig gemacht. Komme gerne wieder.

Wir waren zum Abendessen da und richtig begeistert. Kleine Karte mit toller und besonderer Auswahl. Essen war wirklich lecker. Top Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis. Super gemütliche Atmosphäre und Tische sind nicht so dicht an dicht wie in anderen Restaurants. Sehr aufmerksamer Service. Einziger Kritikpunkt: Leider schließt die Küche schon um 21 Uhr, was wir bei einem gut gefüllten Laden am Freitagabend nicht so gut nachvollziehen konnten. Empfehlung für die Weihnachtszeit: Winter Aperol Spritz mit Birne und warmer Apple Crumble

Sehr schönes Ambiente, super freundlichen Bedienung. Das Essen ist außergewöhnlich, aber sehr gut. Einen Punkt Abzug, weil es ein bisschen zu wenig war.

Tolles Restaurant mit tollen Kellnern und einem hervorragenden Wienerschnitzel. Immer wieder gerne!
