Wir waren am Samstag Abend im Alten Bad, der Service und das Essen waren ausgezeichnet! Das HirschKALBSgulasch kann ich nur empfehlen!

Superfreundliche, höfliche Bedienung und sehr leckeres Essen. Vielen Dank für das schöne Erlebnis!

Netter und entspannter Service, ein Räuberteller war kein Problem. Das Essen ist wirklich gut, der Krustenbraten mit knackiger Kruste und zartem Fleisch ein Genuss.

Das Ambiente ist schön, bekamen auch Platz, ohne Reservierung. Jedoch ist der ältere Herr, die Bedienung sehr speziell und nicht servicefreundlich. Wir kommen nicht wieder.

Wir haben dieses urige Lokal während unseres Urlaubs bei einer wunderschönen Schneewanderung am Bach entlang entdeckt und sind dann, angesprochen von der aushängenden Speisekarte, abends gleich nochmal zum Essen hingefahren. Tolle Atmosphäre in der Gaststube! Saibling und Gulasch waren top, man merkt, dass die Produkte frisch aus der Umgebung kommen und perfekt zubereitet sind. Kleine aber feine Weinkarte, der Riesling war klasse! Und der Kaiserschmarrn zum Schluss... hmmmm, lecker! Ganz besonders nett und kompetent war der Service, wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt und bedanken uns für den schönen Abend! Wir werden dieses Lokal gerne auch einmal bei wärmerer Witterung besuchen. Beim Essen dort draußen zu sitzen, wird sicher auch grandios sein. Wir wünschen eine tolle Saison mit vielen netten Gästen!

Super schönes Gasthaus, sehr gemütlich und das Essen war gut. Die Umgebung bietet viele Optionen um zu spazieren oder zu wandern. Danach sind wir noch auf einen sehr guten Kaiserschmarren eingekehrt.

Gemütlich und schön gelegen immer einen Stop wert Kaffe Kuchen oder so passt Vorsicht ⛔⛔⛔🎧🎧🎧nicht zu laut sein herzogliche Familie in direkter Nachbarschaft,dies ist keine Kritk oder Mahnung nur als Info beigefügt und spassig zu verstehen denke in den guten Zeiten mit FJS war im Umfeld mehr Gaudi😠da kam auch schon einer aus Togo und Noten für die Nationalhymne fehlten🇹🇬🇹🇬zum Verständnis, bei Staatsbesuch spielte auch eine ortsansässigen Musikkapelle und die Noten für Togo waren nicht auffindbar Da wurde halt ein typisch Bayerischer Marsch gespielt.

Mittags nach 2 Stunden Wanderung eingekehrt. Im Biergarten gesessen bei herrlichem Sonnenschein. Kleinigkeit gegessen war sehr gut. Service ebenfalls perfekt. Also volle Empfehlung.

Wir waren an einem Sonntag Mittag mit Tischreservierung dort. Das Ambiente ist sehr hübsch. Leider hatten die Gäste vom Samstag alle Vorräte aufgegessen. Die Hälfte der Gerichte auf der übersichtlichen Karte war nicht mehr vorhanden. Statt Wildfilet wurde ein Stück vom Rind angeboten. Die Wartezeit betrug über eine Stunde. Von 5 Gerichten waren 3 nicht genießbar. Die Ente war nicht durchgebraten, der Knödel steinhart, Soße kam erst viel später. Die hausgemachten Nudeln konnte man wegen zu langer Garzeit nicht mehr als Nudeln erkennen und das Rindfleisch war blutig mit Flaxn. Die Kalbspflanzerl wurden schön öfter als kleine geschmacklose Portion mit Standard Kartoffelsalat bewertet, ist tatsächlich so. Leider hat der Kellner auf die Reklamation mit „das kann ich jetzt auch nicht ändern“ reagiert. Der hervorragende und reichliche Kaiserschmarrn konnte das nicht mehr wett machen. Etwas ist da gehörig schief gegangen in der Küche! Trotz kulantem Eingreifen eines anderen, sehr netten Kellners, möchte man so etwas nicht erleben, schon gar nicht bei diesem gehobenen Betrieb und der dazugehörigen Preisklasse. Schade!

Das war heute seit langem ein Schweinebraten der wirklich Geschmack hatte ...das Personal ist einfach top...ich freue mich schon auf den nächsten Besuch...

Wir haben dieses Restaurant im Rahmen einer Familienfeier besucht und waren leider insgesamt sehr enttäuscht. Die Räumlichkeiten sind äußerst ansprechend und schaffen ein schönes Ambiente. Auch das Personal war durchweg freundlich und aufmerksam. Leider konnte die Qualität der Speisen mit diesem positiven ersten Eindruck nicht mithalten. Der als „großer gemischter Salat“ angekündigte Teller bestand überwiegend aus Blattsalat mit wenigen kleinen Paprikastückchen und einigen Walnüssen, serviert mit einer eher einfallslosen Sauce. Weitere frische Zutaten wie Tomaten, Karotten oder Kräuter fehlten vollständig. Die Kalbsfleischpflanzerl – drei sehr kleine Portionen – waren geschmacklich wenig überzeugend und zudem trocken. Serviert wurden sie in einer faden Bratensauce mit einem einfachen Kartoffel-Gurkensalat ohne besondere Raffinesse. Die „hausgemachte Pasta“ wurde mit einer sehr schweren, dunkelbraunen Sauce gereicht, in der sich einige trockene Wildschweinstückchen sowie nicht näher definierbare Pilze befanden. Auch hier fehlte es an Frische und geschmacklicher Ausgewogenheit. Besonders enttäuschend war der „fangfrische Saibling“. Serviert wurde lediglich eine sehr dicke Scheibe (!) Fisch mit einigen Kartoffeln und einem separaten Töpfchen Butter. Die Präsentation wirkte lieblos, geschmacklich blieb das Gericht völlig blass – nicht einmal eine einfache Garnitur wie etwas Petersilie war vorhanden. Auffällig war zudem, dass Gäste, die die „fangfrische Forelle“ bestellt hatten, eine ganze Forelle serviert bekamen. Insgesamt sehr schade: Eine wunderschöne Location mit freundlichem Service, jedoch deutlichem Verbesserungspotenzial in der Küche.

Wir wurden von Frau Krenz im Vorfeld sowie am Tag der Veranstaltung hervorragend beraten – sehr freundlich, professionell und aufmerksam. Der Service von Martin und seinem Kollegen war erstklassig: aufmerksam, schnell und immer mit einem Lächeln. Die Küche ist ein absoluter Traum – geschmacklich wie optisch auf höchstem Niveau. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder und können das Haus uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen!

Diese urige und gemütliche Location in Kreuth kann man absolut empfehlen. Der Empfang war äußerst freundlich, überhaupt ist der Service extrem aufmerksam und zuvorkommend! Das Essen (Fischsuppe, Ente und Kaiserschmarren) war durchweg lecker. Dieses Gasthaus bietet erfreulicherweise durchgehend warme Küche an. Eine Reservierung ist ratsam. Bargeldlose Bezahlung ist möglich. Die Lage ist klasse, man kann von hier aus tolle Wanderungen machen. Ein Parkplatz ist vorhanden. Wir freuen uns schon auf den nächsten Besuch!

Modernisierte bayrische Küche, man merkt die gut ausgewählten Zutaten und sehr nette Gastgeber. Definitiv einen Umweg wert. Alles war köstlich, aber die Ente ganz besonders!

Uhrig bayerisches kleines Gasthaus mit sehr leckeren Kaiserschmarrn oder Salat und leckeren Säften. Sehr freundlicher Kellner, der seine Gäste wie Gäste behandelte. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Wir wurden in einem Nebenraum platziert, in dem es fürchterlich kalt war! Erst später hat man uns einen Tisch im Gastraum angeboten!

Waren heute zu Weihnachten hier und sehr enttäuscht.Für 9 Pers reserviert und sollten an einem Tisch für 7 Pers essen.Zum Glü k durften sich 2 Pers an den nä Tisch sitzen. Rosenthal verhalten.Pasta für über 30 Euro versalzen die Nudeln ,der Schweinebraten lauwarm.Die Bedienung sehr nett,Gulasch war sehr lecker. Der Hammer wir konnten nicht extra zahlen sondern nur zusammen.Noch nie erlebt Fahren auch nicht mehr von München dahin essen

This is our second time here. Today we had a St. Martin's Day goose... excellent!

Very solid – a bit out of the way, but well worth the trip. The rooms are lovely and have superb acoustics; even when it gets crowded, you can easily hear yourself speak. The food is undoubtedly high quality, and the service is helpful and attentive, fulfilling every request. Highly recommended, especially if you want to avoid the tourist crowds up by the lake. A very heartfelt recommendation!

The service provided by Patrick, Armin, and their team is unparalleled and perfectly complemented by the quality of the food. Every move is precise, every dish is perfectly balanced and refined, and the ambiance in the almost mythical setting of Wildbad Kreuth completes the experience, making it a truly exceptional evening. As a guest of the Bachmair Weissach, you also enjoy the shuttle service and can indulge in a second bottle of wine without hesitation. All in all, the service offered by this "small" inn is absolutely world-class. We always look forward to returning.

The best Kaiserschmarrn in the world was the crowning finale of an extremely pleasant stay with charmingly served culinary delights!

We had dinner here on a warm summer evening. The service, food, and atmosphere were all excellent. So much so that we celebrated our civil wedding ceremony here in September. That, too, went perfectly for everyone. First-class service, superb food, and a truly wonderful day! Many thanks to the entire team! We will definitely be back. 😊

On a dream day at Lake Achensee, I stopped by the Altes Bad for an afternoon snack. The service was very friendly and punctuated throughout. For the meal: I ordered beef tartare with a fried egg and farmhouse bread. It came with a non-alcoholic wheat beer! The tartare was very well dressed and sliced, but I needed more salt – my personal preference! The farmhouse bread was well toasted, but the crust was burnt. The caper butter was very small; for the price of the dish (€29), you could easily fill the bowl completely. Otherwise, I noticed that guests with dogs (five in total during my stay) are certainly welcome here. But the staff are also extremely keen to be helpful, for example, to people with disabilities. Parking is free and a short walk from the restaurant and beer garden.

An absolute insider tip. Very nice ambiance in a beautiful valley. The old buildings create a wonderful atmosphere. The beer garden only gets sun until 5 p.m. in late summer. Very friendly and professional service. Very child-friendly, with a coloring book and playground. Highly recommended.

Beautiful, old inn with new design, classic cuisine and friendly service

Horrible roast pork in a terrible sauce. The chef must have been having a bad day and seasoned the roast pork sauce with tomato paste, giving it a pungent sweetness. No caraway, no garlic, no pepper, and hardly any salt. The coleslaw was also completely lacking in salt. After a complaint, the sauce came back, worse for wear, and would have been better suited to a sauerbraten. I hope that was an exception.

Very good food – fine dining. The trout and char from the neighboring fish farm are especially recommended. The service is very friendly and attentive. The restaurant is somewhat secluded, nestled in the surrounding mountains.

We only visited the beer garden. I highly recommend it. The food was good. The service was extremely friendly and competent. We'll definitely go back. But beware, there's only a limited number of seats in the beer garden.

Top-notch service and a very beautiful location. We were there for lunch with seven people. We had a wonderful outdoor spot. The service was super attentive and very friendly, even to the dog and children. The food was good, the fish soup excellent, but the roast pork was unfortunately as dry as the Gobi Desert. But that can happen sometimes. On the other hand, all the other dishes, like goat cheese and Kaiserschmarrn, were very good. We'll be back.

Six of us were privileged to spend a wonderful evening at the Altes Bad. Of course, we had a reservation. The cheerful service staff attended to us very attentively for hours. The food was delicious and the portions were exceptionally generous. Our entire family felt extremely comfortable.

Dear Mr. Hupp, here is the reason for my review: we visited you last Sunday around 6 p.m. on the way home. I decided on the 1/2 duck, I was really hungry and had an appetite. The duck arrived with the other meals, but unfortunately the skin was 70% charred. With a heavy heart I sent it back. 10 minutes later the new duck arrived, without sauce or red cabbage. This was only given after I asked again. Then I was finally able to eat it, but unfortunately the bird was limp, bland and tasteless. Probably the result of frozen > microwave > grill. Poultry should be freshly prepared, otherwise it's better not to offer it. How many stars would you give it?

Thanks for nothing. With three small children, we weren't allowed to sit closer to the playground. Addendum: We wanted to eat there! After I asked face to face if we could sit closer to the playground because of the children, I was dismissed with an arrogant smile and a "no."

We can highly recommend to eat here. The scenery is unique, great to combine with a hike or walk. The portions were really large and we did not expect that, really tasty too. You may need a reservation, the first time we tried to come here we could not get a table.

A beautiful place that invites you to linger! Unfortunately, I have to say that the service didn't seem particularly friendly or engaging! The food could definitely be better with such a big name behind this place! The half chicken was completely overseasoned, the large salad was mediocre, and the apricot cake tasted like it was from the day before! Hopefully, that's just a negative exception, because the place is truly beautiful!

We had reserved a table for four at lunch during Easter. It's a wonderful bike ride up from Rottach-Egern. The service staff are very friendly and attentive. Once again, we had a delicious meal, and I'm already looking forward to our next visit when we're back at Tegernsee. 😊

Hospitality is nowhere to be found here. My adult children and I wanted to stop for dinner after a hike yesterday for Mother's Day. We sat down at a table that wasn't reserved for about two hours. Then the waiter (about 1.75m, blond, glasses, green vest) came over and said, without even saying a word, "But you'll be gone by then..."! I just said that we'd definitely make it in time... Then we were given the menus and I was surprised that the kitchen didn't offer breaded schnitzel (Vienna style) and asked him why. He then casually replied, "There's a good reason why..." We clearly didn't feel welcome, so we canceled our drinks and drove to the Jägerwirt in Aufhofen. The Jägerwirt is highly recommended, by the way!

We weren't even greeted when we entered the restaurant - on the contrary: the waiter immediately came up to us, only to rudely inform us that the table had been reserved for 3 hours. When we politely asked about the menu there was only an annoyed answer, no attempt to explain, no apology, nothing - just stroppy arrogance. I have rarely experienced something so disrespectful. If you don't want guests, you might want to consider whether gastronomy is the right career.

We went hiking again in the evening and wanted to take a short break and have a drink. The outside area was anything but full, but when the nice waiter asked the owner if we could have a table for "just something to drink", he just looked at us briefly and said, no, but if we also ate something he might think about it again. Very unfriendly 👎

Our first visit to the Ducal Inn. After visiting (almost) all the restaurants and inns in Kreuth and the surrounding area as a regular guest, I can give a clear recommendation.

Cozy - tasty - with a twist - yet authentic - good value for money

Ein wunderschönes Restaurant, die Lage ist traumhaft. Wir haben zu Mittag gegessen, das Essen war hervorragend und auch ausreichend, der Service, ein netter Herr, der alles ganz alleine im Griff hatte, war sehr freundlich, aufmerksam und hat sogar Zeit für ein nettes Gespräch über das Haus mit uns gehabt. Die Gaststube, wenn man es so nennen darf, wurde sehr liebevoll und dem Haus entsprechend renoviert, man fühlt sich sofort wohl. Wi werden das Alte Bad beim nächsten Urlaub auf jeden fall wieder besuchen.

I knew it from before and spontaneously went there on the way back. As usual, great service, traditional ambience and the kitchen offers a good spectrum from "home cooking" to specialties for both the hiker to stop off after a mountain hike and the gourmet with his belle cuisine specialties in the appropriate price range. Definitely a recommendation and see you soon with upscale Bavarian friends.

During our spontaneous visit on Saturday lunchtime we were lucky that a table was not reserved, so be sure to reserve it next time. The reception and service is outstanding. There are painting supplies for children, very nice. The prices are a bit higher, but the good taste definitely justifies this. We felt very comfortable and would love to come back.

A very nice restaurant with unfortunately very average food for a price that is too high. Unfortunately, the homemade noodles with game fillet tips were very overcooked, a bit bland in taste and the meat was completely dry. The whole thing for €34.50 is unfortunately out of the question. The venison goulash had a similar problem, the meat was completely dry. There are painting supplies for children and the dishes come extra quickly, which is again very positive. The service in general is very good.

Hike in the area, get your appetite working and stop by this place for food, drinks and desert. The dessert in particular was awesome: the Kaiserschmarrn - well balanced with a tasteful apple purée or homemade jam, a delight. ❤️ Oh, also very pet friendly!

Dieses kleine, aber feine Wirtshaus überzeugt rundum: Ein toller Service, phantastisches Essen (Alle Gerichte überzeugten uns!) und eine recht faire Preisgestaltung. Der Kaiserschmarrn zum Abschluss war sensationell! Besonders nett fanden wir auch die Kinderspeisekarte mit Malutensilien, was zeigt, dass auch Kinder gern gesehene Gäste sind. What luck! On a recommendation, we stopped at the Gasthaus Altes Bad for a spontaneous lunch. A highlight: ambience, service, food! The char was simply perfect, as was the fried chicken - the dessert is particularly recommended: Kaiserschmarren. The 'Alte Bad' is now one of our regular restaurants in the area.

Wir sind nach längere Zeit hier mal wieder spontan eingekehrt. Neue, stilsicher Einrichtung. Bayrisch, einfach, schön. Das Essen war wirklich ziemlich gut. Alles geschmackvoll und gut zubereitet. Bayrisch und auch europäische Küche. Schöne übersichtliche Karte. Die Preise nicht günstig aber total gerechtfertigt. Absoluter Höhepunkt war der Marillenknödel. Super lecker und auch optisch geil. Sehr aufmerksamer Service von Herrn Armin. Solche Servicemitarbeiter wünscht man sich überall. Auch die zwei Damen an seiner Seite sehr angenehm und kompetent. Parkplätze beleuchtet und ausreichend. Toiletten modern und sauber. Wir kommen sicher wieder

Direkt neben Wildbad Kreuth liegt dieses historische Gasthaus in wunderbarer Lage. Die Gasträume klar und stilsicher eingerichtet, ohne überflüssigen Tand. Das Essen ein Genuss. Das Hirschsteak zart rosa mit einer Sauce, die auch nach Wild schmeckt und wunderbaren Bratkartoffeln. Ebenso die gebratene Ente mit Blaukraut und gefüllten Kartoffelknödel. Und auch hier eine Sauce, die nach Ente schmeckt. Auch die Weinauswahl kann sich sehen lassen. Der Service ist perfekt und sehr freundlich! Unseren Respekt, wir werden sicherlich wiederkommen, wäre auch ein schönes Ziel für ein Oldtimertreffen. Aber noch ein Tipp: Lasst mal Eure Messer schleifen.

At the Altes Bad restaurant I ate the best duck of my life – crispy on the outside, tender on the inside and perfectly seasoned. The price-performance ratio is absolutely right. The cozy atmosphere and friendly service make the visit highly recommended.

After our little hike we stopped there to eat. The service was super nice and quick. The drinks came to the table quite quickly and the food was also in a class of its own. This also came to the table quickly and, above all, hot. Everything was clean. Also the toilets. We will definitely come back again when we are in the area again.

Great inn, very courteous, attentive service, the Kaiserschmarrn was a blast... We've never had such a good one. However, the portion is easily enough for 2 people. The roast pork is also highly recommended and really delicious. And the setting in the beer garden is also just beautiful.
