A very nice restaurant with unfortunately very average food for a price that is too high. Unfortunately, the homemade noodles with game fillet tips were very overcooked, a bit bland in taste and the meat was completely dry. The whole thing for €34.50 is unfortunately out of the question. The venison goulash had a similar problem, the meat was completely dry. There are painting supplies for children and the dishes come extra quickly, which is again very positive. The service in general is very good.

Hike in the area, get your appetite working and stop by this place for food, drinks and desert. The dessert in particular was awesome: the Kaiserschmarrn - well balanced with a tasteful apple purée or homemade jam, a delight. ❤️ Oh, also very pet friendly!

Dieses kleine, aber feine Wirtshaus überzeugt rundum: Ein toller Service, phantastisches Essen (Alle Gerichte überzeugten uns!) und eine recht faire Preisgestaltung. Der Kaiserschmarrn zum Abschluss war sensationell! Besonders nett fanden wir auch die Kinderspeisekarte mit Malutensilien, was zeigt, dass auch Kinder gern gesehene Gäste sind. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

What luck! On a recommendation, we stopped at the Gasthaus Altes Bad for a spontaneous lunch. A highlight: ambience, service, food! The char was simply perfect, as was the fried chicken - the dessert is particularly recommended: Kaiserschmarren. The 'Alte Bad' is now one of our regular restaurants in the area.

Wir sind nach längere Zeit hier mal wieder spontan eingekehrt. Neue, stilsicher Einrichtung. Bayrisch, einfach, schön. Das Essen war wirklich ziemlich gut. Alles geschmackvoll und gut zubereitet. Bayrisch und auch europäische Küche. Schöne übersichtliche Karte. Die Preise nicht günstig aber total gerechtfertigt. Absoluter Höhepunkt war der Marillenknödel. Super lecker und auch optisch geil. Sehr aufmerksamer Service von Herrn Armin. Solche Servicemitarbeiter wünscht man sich überall. Auch die zwei Damen an seiner Seite sehr angenehm und kompetent. Parkplätze beleuchtet und ausreichend. Toiletten modern und sauber. Wir kommen sicher wieder

Today we spontaneously stopped by the Gasthaus Altes Bad and were able to enjoy great service and excellent food. The location of the inn is unique and every course was a poem. We would love to come back.

Direkt neben Wildbad Kreuth liegt dieses historische Gasthaus in wunderbarer Lage. Die Gasträume klar und stilsicher eingerichtet, ohne überflüssigen Tand. Das Essen ein Genuss. Das Hirschsteak zart rosa mit einer Sauce, die auch nach Wild schmeckt und wunderbaren Bratkartoffeln. Ebenso die gebratene Ente mit Blaukraut und gefüllten Kartoffelknödel. Und auch hier eine Sauce, die nach Ente schmeckt. Auch die Weinauswahl kann sich sehen lassen. Der Service ist perfekt und sehr freundlich! Unseren Respekt, wir werden sicherlich wiederkommen, wäre auch ein schönes Ziel für ein Oldtimertreffen. Aber noch ein Tipp: Lasst mal Eure Messer schleifen.

The ambience is very nice. I had three types of dumplings, the portion was sufficient. The Kaiserschmarrn at the next table was plentiful and looked very good.

At the Altes Bad restaurant I ate the best duck of my life – crispy on the outside, tender on the inside and perfectly seasoned. The price-performance ratio is absolutely right. The cozy atmosphere and friendly service make the visit highly recommended.

Beautiful inn and idyllic beer garden - wonderfully located - with a rustic Bavarian flair. Great to visit - e.g. at the end of a hike to the Siebenhüttenalm. Especially ideal with children.

After our little hike we stopped there to eat. The service was super nice and quick. The drinks came to the table quite quickly and the food was also in a class of its own. This also came to the table quickly and, above all, hot. Everything was clean. Also the toilets. We will definitely come back again when we are in the area again.

Great inn, very courteous, attentive service, the Kaiserschmarrn was a blast... We've never had such a good one. However, the portion is easily enough for 2 people. The roast pork is also highly recommended and really delicious. And the setting in the beer garden is also just beautiful.

Very comfortable to sit and nice view of the mountains. Great terrace and very nice waitresses with good service! Generally a bit more expensive but the Hugo is sensational!!

The price of 32 euros for a pasta dish with chanterelles cannot be justified by either the quality or the location. The dish consisted of a sticky mountain of ribbon noodles and 10 - 15 small chanterelles. The sauce, if there was any, was completely absorbed by the noodles and could hardly be tasted. The game version was served with chanterelles and three tiny venison medallions, chewy and for 2 euros more. The pricing policy is incomprehensible. The service was smart, friendly and quick, but the kitchen didn't manage to bring all 8 meals to the table at about the same time. This could be overlooked if quality and price matched. I can't recommend the place.

It was a beautiful day and everything was perfect. I used to be here quite often and had very fond memories of it. A lot has changed. Since I am severely disabled and no longer have a car, I am very grateful when I can escape from my loneliness. Today was one of those days and it felt like a week's vacation. After a strenuous hike you can find a great restaurant here with really good food. The service was very courteous and put you in a good mood. The meat patties are worth every cent! You can taste that they come from the butcher. We would come back here!

Schweinebraten gibt in Bayern als Testessen für jede Gastwirtschaft. Der Test wurde nicht bestanden: Schweinebraten für Fleischqualität zu kurz gebraten, Sauce mit Fertigsaucw gestreckt, Knödel vermutlich convenience food.

I can highly recommend this cozy restaurant. 5 stars is simply appropriate for the food, because the food tastes good and is inexpensive. The service leaves nothing to be desired and you are served with the utmost friendliness. The ambience has the typical Bavarian flair. When the weather is good you can look at a very beautiful panorama of Alpine mountains and enjoy the good cuisine! PS: The wheat is delicious 😋

As regular guests of the former Altes Bad inn, before it was taken over by the current operator, we have now tried out the "new" Altes Bad. And we weren't disappointed: we still had a large selection of free seats and were able to grab a table in the shade on the great terrace. Service: The greeting was very friendly, even friendly. We were served so professionally and courteously that I had to think long and hard about whether there was anything at all to complain about here. I can give this 5 stars. Prices: The change in operators also brought about a change in the demands placed on the kitchen, the staff and certainly also on the target group. As a result, the prices have increased slightly, but are likely to be reasonable given the selection and quality of the food. We had Steckerlfisch (char), which at €21.50 was absolutely reasonable. The wheat beer half, on the other hand, is significantly more expensive at €5.50 than the competition. Although it has been getting more and more boring lately... I would give this 4 stars. Park: There is a free parking lot for guests of the restaurant, directly behind the building, which can easily accommodate around 20 cars. A large proportion of the guests are also likely to be day-trippers (on bikes and on foot) who stumble past here as walk-in customers. If the parking lot up here is full, there is another paid hiking parking lot about 300 m away, at the lower end of the Wildbad. I can give this 5 stars. Setting, location & atmosphere: The restaurant and the Wildbad are located on a light, spacious plateau above the Weißach. Nestled in the Kreuth mountains. Like in a kitschy homeland film from the 50s or 60s, so unreal and dreamily beautiful. Up here, Fox and Rabbit actually say goodnight to each other. Here the world is still in order and you couldn't be further away from the dirt and hustle and bustle of the city. I would give this 5 stars. All in all, one of the most beautiful addresses if you want to eat out. Especially in the summer months.

Quality of the food is very moderate. In many Upper Bavarian taverns you can simply eat better for the same money.

Went there today at 7:40 p.m. and wanted to eat something. Received by the waiter who said the kitchen would be closed in 5 minutes. After the notice that the restaurant was open until 9 p.m., the statement came that the kitchen was only open until 8 p.m. The kitchen is already clean, he will be killed if he accepts anything else now. So: The kitchen is open until 8 p.m., but no orders will be accepted at 10:40 p.m. Do I want to go there again? Certainly not, despite the great ambience

Friendly service, beautiful surroundings Char without a side dish of bread, charge for 3 burnt slices of gray bread 2 euros. Goat cheese not gratinated properly on beetroot from a jar with no taste. Wine spritzer with non-carbonated mineral water. Absolutely inappropriate for a house of this category. Never again.

We ate at the Altes Bad several times during our vacation. The atmosphere around the historic building, but also inside, is “magical”. I felt like I was in another world, far away from the noise and bustle of the world. We were always greeted and served very friendly. The food was excellent, for example we have rarely eaten such a delicious small salad. The venison goulash with Brussels sprouts cannot be beat. A visit to the Old Bath can be one of the highlights of a holiday.

Nice restaurant with a lot of atmosphere, friendly service staff. Good quality of products and preparation. The only thing is that ready-made products such as bread dumplings do not live up to the standard. Nevertheless, a repetition is in order.

Abseits vom Trubel, ruhig gelegen - beste Voraussetzung für eine gemütliche Einkehr. Sowohl der Biergarten wie auch die gepflegte Gaststube bieten dem Gast eine wohltuende Zeit für eine Genusspause. Wir aßen einen hervorragenden Saibling und einen Kaiserschmarren allererster Güte. Der Service war sehr höflich und aufmerksam. Wir waren leider nur 3x da, die Zeit reichte nicht für weitere Besuche.

An ordinary restaurant, many people, because it is alone, and people came here after a walk to have lunch. The dishes are tasty and unpretentious. The service is zero, the waiters are unfriendly. The atmosphere is like a dining room.

Anyone who would like to contribute to the further monopolization and transformation of the Tegernsee Valley into a comprehensive “luxury retreat” can pay 5.50 euros for a light beer and otherwise lavish prices for ordinary quality.

We had a wonderful afternoon in the “Altes Bad” inn. The food was delicious and the service was incredibly friendly and attentive. The cozy rooms with tiled stoves have a fairytale atmosphere, especially in the winter months. Very friendly host! Plenty of free parking spaces about 50 meters away. Absolute recommendation!

Some things weren't right, especially the price-performance ratio

We were in the old bathroom in the afternoon a few days ago. We had a nice coffee there and the service was very accommodating. He kept asking if it could be something else. Atmosphere was relaxed, everything was clean and tidy. Price-performance was also right. Chic inn, with very nice service. We will be back!

Sehr schöne Gaststätte. Kaiserschmarrn hervorragend. Fleischpflanzerl eine Enttäuschung, sahen aus wie Leberknödel oder größere IKEA Kottböller, leider auch mit Semmelnröseln hergestellt. Die Spinatknödel waren Spinat mit Knödeln und die Rotebeeteknödel waren ähnlich. Der Kartoffelsalat war gut. Wegen Knaiserschmarrn und Kartoffelsalat muss man den weiten Weg nicht auf sich nehmen. Dafür ist es auch zu teuer. Für Rollstuhlfahrer wegen der engen Eingangstreppe nicht machbar.

Vorteile: * Die Lage in Wildbad Kreuth ist sehr abgelegen und schön. Hier kann man nach dem Wandern gemütlich einkehren. * Die Kellner waren sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Nachteile: * Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist schlecht. Ein Marillenknödel mit einem Esslöffel Fruchtkompott kostet zum Beispiel 14,50 €. Für diesen Preis hätte ich mehr erwartet. Die Saftschorle ist teurer, als wenn man Saft und Wasser separat kauft und am Tisch selbst mischt. Auch bei diesen "Nobrainern" ist es sinnvoll, vorher die Speisekarte zu studieren. * Im Allgemeinen war die Qualität unserer Speisen für den hohen Preis eher durchschnittlich. Wir hatten Hirschgulasch mit zähem Fleisch, sowie eher geschmackfreie Rote-Bete-Knödel. * Wir kamen um Ente zu essen, aber die war zur Mittagszeit schon aus. Und das an einem Feiertag. Fisch und Knödel waren auch nicht mehr erhältlich. * Wir haben über eine Stunde auf unser Essen gewartet, obwohl das Lokal bis auf uns und 3 weitere Tische praktisch leer war. Wir hatten die Geduld, unsere Kleinkinder nicht.

Wir waren zum ersten Mal seit der Wiedereröffnung im Alten Bad. Das Essen war geschmacklich und auch optisch sehr ansprechend. Super schneller und freundlicher Service, charmanter Humor. Helle und freundliche Stimmung im Gasthaus. Wir kommen wieder, vielen Dank für den schönen Abend!

Wir waren das erste Mal im Alten Bad, seit es diesen Sommer neu eröffnet hat. Die bayrischen Stuben sind sehr gemütlich und schlicht eingerichtet. Wir hatten einen jungen Kellner, der uns sehr zuvorkommend und aufmerksam bedient hat. Wir hatten 4 unterschiedliche Gerichte - alle sehr sehr gut. Insgesamt ein gelungener Abend. Wir waren heuer zum zweiten Mal innerhalb weniger Tage (werktags) zum Essen hier. Wir fanden schnell freie Plätze im Aussenbereich. Wir wurden zuvorkommend und schnell bedient. Das Essen war sehr gut. Wir haben wunderbar auf der Sonnenterrasse gesessen. Die Preise sind m.E. angemessen. Wir kommen gerne wieder ins Alte Bad.

Wir waren heute Abend mit den Großeltern und Kindern im Alten Bad essen und hatten einen sehr schönen Abend. Traumhafte Laage! Ideal zum abschalten! Schöne gepflegte Außenanlagen mit Schaukel und Spielgeräten für große und kleine Kinder! Sehr gemütliche Gasträume, tolles interior Design. Die Mitarbeiter waren sehr freundlich und aufmerksam, auch mit den Kindern (1 & 3 Jahre) sehr zuvorkommend. Super Service, auf zack bei leerem Glas direkt nachgefragt ob es noch etwas sein darf. Essen kam zügig und war super lecker, hat allen geschmeckt! Preis Leistung hat auch gestimmt. Sehr gepflegte sanitäre Anlagen. Wir freuen uns auf den nächsten Besuch!

Bayerisch rustikales Ambiente in gehobenem Niveau. Die Karte beinhaltet eine reichhaltige bayerische Küche. Service und Personal sind sehr freundlich. Preise sind angemessen. Ich freue mich auf den nächsten Aufenthalt, um wieder den Geist von Kreuth aufleben zu lassen.

Stilvolles Lokal, toller Biergarten zum Teil mit Selbstbedienung. Kommt einem bei dem hohen Preisniveau sehr entgegen. Preis/Qualitätsniveau im Restaurant stimmt leider nicht.

Wir haben das " Alte Bad" über das Internet kennen gelernt. Waren total begeistert von der Umgebung und nicht minder von der Küche und des sehr freundlichen Personals. Die Braustube ist sehr gemütlich, eben typisch bayerisch. Der Biergarten mit Blick auf die Berge ein Traum. Leider ging unser Urlaub zu Ende, sonst wäre es unser Stammrestaurant.

Wunderschöne Terrasse zum Essen! Die Fischsuppe und Flädlesuppe waren etwas zu würzig, der Saibling als Hauptgang sehr gut. Der Schweinebraten war nicht gut. Das Fleisch trocken, die Knödel durchschnittlich, die Bratensoße schmeckte leider gar nicht. Begeistert waren wir vom Umgang damit durch die Bedienung. Das Essen wurde zurück genommen und durch eine Portion Backhendl ersetzt, die wirklich gut geschmeckt hat. Ausserdem wurden wir als Entschädigung zu einem Espresso eingeladen. Sehr entgegenkommen, wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!
