Quaint restaurant, large selection of dishes, everything very tasty. It is advisable to make a reservation as the house is always busy. The very dedicated staff is still trying to find a place...

This very cosy place welcomed us after a long hike. The place is very well kept, clean and easily accessible when driving through the town of Kreuth. It was hard to pick a dish out of the menu as everything looked very delicious: we opted for the Kaiserschmarrn with vanilla ice in the end. Top notch! I can only say the other guests commenting "best Kaisers. ever" were not lying - indeed delicious :)

Very good food and location. Always eat trout blue. Excellent. , boss friendly. Service stressed, unfortunately. Otherwise great. Recommended.One of the last good original inns in the valley. Were for the 2nd time. We had reservations and it was very crowded. . Nevertheless, very fast and friendly service. Drinks and food also came very quickly. Mega large portions and again very tasty. Always happy.

If we pass by on the way to or from the Achensee Pass, a stay here is inevitable. The menu is extensive, depending on the season there is an additional menu. The service is quick and very friendly. No matter what we choose, everything is delicious and the portions are more than generous. An insider tip is the Kaiserschmarrn, which is also completely sufficient as a main course. There are also homemade cakes, the pieces in a size that fills you up. Reservations are recommended for lunchtime.

Always worth a visit 😊 Food very good, seasonal and plentiful. Staff friendly and competent. There are enough parking spaces available. We will stop again on our next vacation

Sauguad and food that you can't get anywhere else...

I was in the restaurant with my wife for 45 minutes and couldn't even order a drink until that point. When we asked if we could order something, we were dismissed with a curt and impolite reply.

I haven't eaten such a good venison steak for a long time - an absolute tip. We will definitely be coming back soon, so far we only knew the restaurant through recommendations from our friends. The staff is very friendly and accommodating and you sit very comfortably in a rustic environment.

It was very good decades ago and that is still the case! Great service, great food! Some things, like Kaiserschmarrn, don't taste better anywhere! Simply divine! Be sure to reserve in advance. Bon appetit!

Obwohl wir einheimisch sind, waren wir das erste und letzte Mal im Restaurant Göttfried. Wir hatten ein Freundespaar zu Besuch und gingen auf Empfehlung hierher. Statt an einem für 4 Personen reservierten Tisch zu sitzen, wurden wir an einem großen Tisch direkt am Kücheneingang - und bei anderen Gästen - platziert: Auf unseren entgeisterten Blick erklärte die Kellnerin, das Zusammensitzen mit anderen sei hier so üblich. Meiner ausdrückliche Bitte, uns wenigstens einen Tisch nicht am Eingang zur Küche zu geben, kam unsere Bedienung nicht nach (obwohl ich freie Plätze und einen reservierten noch freien 4er- Tisch in der Stube entdeckte und ihr dies auch sagte). In dieser Kantinenatmosphäre schmeckte mir das Essen nicht und ich schäme mich, dass wir unserem auswärtigen Besuch, den wir nur 1x im Jahr sehen, so einen "unvergesslichen Abend" bescherten.

Very good food and friendly service

If I could, I would give 0 stars, but unfortunately that's not possible, so this so-called restaurant gets one star. First of all, we waited another 20 minutes and didn't even get the menus that we had to get ourselves. After 20 minutes we asked when someone would come and take our order, just amazing! Afterwards the waitress, who was so rude that it made us uncomfortable only because we wanted to sit outside on the terrace instead of inside, she tells us that she hopes she doesn't catch a cold tomorrow (because of us, of course). Then my partner ordered a cordon bleu and a schnitzel without any side dish with a piece of salad. Also, when paying, the waitress just charged full price for everything without saying even though we didn't get it because we didn't want it, that's a joke. We could have even had dessert from the money they deducted for the side dish that we didn't even ask for. Oh, and not to mention the little things like asking when getting steak how I want my meat medium well or medium etc. It was the last time we ate here.

Absolute disaster! First of all we waited 20 minutes until someone came to take the order. That's just because I asked when someone was coming! We ordered a schnitzel and a cordon bleu without any side dishes, which were very greasy and soggy. We were charged the full price with a deduction of 1 euro without salad for one dish. The fries or croquettes were not deducted from our bill even though we didn't get them. This is an absolute no-go. 25.80 for a piece of schnitzel without anything and 25.80 for a cordon bleu without any side dishes is unbelievable! Unmotivated, listless staff, failed on all counts! This shop cannot be recommended at all, you will be ripped off. Maybe it was just the one service person, but we definitely won't be visiting the store again! 1 star unfortunately because you can't give 0 stars!

A traditional Bavarian restaurant with guesthouse. Unfortunately we got the tip too late, otherwise we would have definitely been there more often. Very nice staff, very varied menu with specialties from the region and a seasonal menu that currently includes the theme “chanterelles”. The dishes we had tried so far were very plentiful, tasty and wonderfully presented. The mixed salad with the dish more than deserves this name.

Whenever I go on a mountain tour near Kreuth with my aunt, this inn is our reward with its extremely friendly service and very good food. Here the guest is not only checked in but welcomed. We always feel completely at home and enjoy the food, the friendly service and the pleasant ambience.

We have eaten in the restaurant a few times now and have always been satisfied. The food is great but the service leaves a lot to be desired. We ordered our food and had to wait a long time, my husband longer as I did. After we were finished, I wondered why the table next door had a lavish side salad and we didn't. When I checked the menu, I noticed that the salad had simply been "forgotten". When we asked the waitress, she offered us a €1 discount. Which is ridiculous because if you order the salad individually it costs €5. We then asked for a free dessert, but an apology should have come first and the offer should have come from the waitress. As I said, the food was great, but something like that shouldn't happen, especially since there really wasn't much going on.

Wow I can only give this 5 stars. We've been coming here for more than just summer vacations for 16 years now. Everything is always great. Food of top quality and generous portions. The waitresses are always very friendly and on point and probably the best Kaiserschmarrn in the valley. We'd love to come back.

It's a shame - we've been here for 13 years; Today we had bad luck with our waitress - forgetful, leaving dishes at the table for 3/4 hours after eating and we had to run after her for the final order. And at the end, open feedback about the service is more likely to be cheeky than an honest apology - that doesn't have to be the case!

Great location with very good food

We had dinner there today. What can I say? I can't remember the last time I was so impressed by the food and service. Venison goulash was my choice. Absolutely fantastic. We were definitely not there for the last time.

Wir waren Samstag Abend dort, das Lokal war aufgrund einer Feier bis zum letzten Platz voll. Da im Innenraum kein Platz mehr war, hat man uns einen Platz im Außenbereich angeboten, Markise raus und es war trotz gerade mal knapp 18 Grad noch wunderschön, ich glaube man sieht vom Außenbereich den Hirschberg. Eine wunderschöne Kulisse. Unser Kellner war total freundlich und gelassen, trotz eines wahrscheinlich echt stressigen Tages. Wir haben eine Schweinshaxe mit Knödel, ein Wiener Schnitzel mit Pommes und ein Kinderschnitzel bestellt. Das Essen kam sehr zügig und war sehr gut und reichhaltig. Die Haxe war ein Traum, das Fleisch zart und die Kruste kross, die Soße war ein Gedicht. Das nachgeforderte Ketchup für die Pommes, wurde prompt mit einem Lächeln im Gesicht nachgeliefert, so geht Gastronomie 💕 und bayerische Küche.

We've eaten here twice during our vacation and we're thrilled. The waiters are always in a good mood and friendly and the food comes quickly and is excellent for an affordable price. We will always be happy to be guests there.

We had reserved two seats in advance by phone for 6:00 p.m. When we arrived they couldn't find the reservation. But there was a short-term solution. We learned that guests after us had a similar problem.

Have reserved a table in the evening. The waitresses didn't take any notice of us after we were seated. The garden was absolutely overcrowded. After a good twenty minutes without anyone speaking to us, we left the restaurant. Total mass processing. Absolute no-go restaurant. We ended up going to the Schwaigeralm that evening. People go there. Great service, great food and enough space so that you feel comfortable there. Price and performance are also absolutely OK.

It couldn't be better! Unfortunately, the others know this too. A reservation is always an advantage.

There were three of us and we ate deliciously: char, sauerbraten and beef tongue. We were thrilled with every dish. Such excellent cuisine, just great. And for dessert a Kaiserschmarrn with applesauce and vanilla ice cream, a poem, the best I (76 years old) have eaten in my life. I'll be back and can only recommend this restaurant.

SUPER delicious food in summer in a well-kept beer garden or in the beautiful guest room. All served by friendly waitresses. It's fun to come here. Very few restaurants manage to make a well-baked Kaiserschmarrn, but here it is top notch. We drive many kilometers for this

Well-attended popular restaurant with a large beer garden. Rich menu at reasonable prices. We enjoyed the food. Gladly again.

Were there after a hike. Large terrace with lots of space, got a table straight away. Unfortunately, the waitresses didn't seem to agree who was serving which seats, so it took a while before we were noticed. Unfortunately, our waitress's mood wasn't the best - people were gossiping and complaining about how far she had to walk and how difficult it would all be, not just with us, but also at the next table. Unfortunately, that didn't make the visit our best experience. Food came quite quickly and was good too.

Wir waren schon öfter dort und waren immer zufrieden. Das Essen ist gut, das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmt und im Sommer kann man schön draußen sitzen. Dieses Mal habe ich die Bärlauchcremesuppe sowie den sensationellen Kaiserschmarrn gegessen, ist zu empfehlen. :)

Very good food at appropriate prices, which is currently (02/19/2024) hard to find anywhere.

I can only report about the restaurant. And it is comfortably furnished, the service is great, because small requests for allergy sufferers are fulfilled. The kitchen... very good food. Portions are filling and therefore inexpensive. The selection of vegetarian dishes is larger than anywhere else.
