Ein sehr gutes, traditionelles Restaurant mit einer vielfältigen Auswahl an Gerichten, von bayerischen und österreichischen Klassikern bis hin zu ungewöhnlicheren Spezialitäten. Hier findet jeder etwas nach seinem Geschmack: Ob Kalb-, Rind-, Schweine-, Wild- oder vegetarische Gerichte – für jeden Gaumen ist etwas dabei. Das Restaurant selbst ist sehr angenehm, egal ob Sie im Garten mit seinem atemberaubenden Blick auf die bayerischen Alpen, besonders nach einer ausgiebigen Wanderung, oder im typisch regionalen Interieur Platz nehmen.

Ein rundum großartiger Besuch im Haus Göttfried! Besonders hervorzuheben ist das Personal: hervorragend organisiert, bestens ausgebildet und durchweg freundlich. Man fühlt sich sofort willkommen und bestens betreut. Die Küche ist schlicht genial 🤩 – vom Kaiserschmarrn bis hin zu Fisch, Fleisch und Kuchen: alles von erstklassiger Qualität. Die Gerichte sind perfekt abgestimmt, geschmacklich auf den Punkt und hervorragend getimt serviert. Hier merkt man, dass mit viel Können und Liebe gearbeitet wird. Eine absolute Empfehlung – wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!

Der Service ist unglaublich freundlich und zuverlässig, das Essen hat eine top Qualität und die Portionen sind mehr als großzügig. Man merkt sofort, dass hier mit echter Leidenschaft gekocht wird. Ein riesiges Lob an das ganze Team – vor allem an die Küche, ihr macht einen unglaublichen Job! Wir hatten mit einer befreundeten Familie einen wundervollen Aufenthalt in der Pension Göttfried. Das Personal war wahnsinnig freundlich, hilfsbereit und herzlich. Die Zimmer waren sauber, groß und man hatte einen tollen Ausblick auf die Berge. Besonders empfehlenswert ist der Kaiserschmarrn! Wir haben lange nicht mehr so gut bayrisch gegessen. Auch das Frühstück ist durchweg empfehlenswert. Den Kindern wurden alle Wünsche von den Augen abgelesen. Danke für die schönen Tage bei euch und bis bald - wir kommen definitiv wieder! ❤️

Wir haben schon lange nicht mehr soooo gut gegessen! Als Highlight ein karamelisierter Kaiserschmarrn, der seinesgleichen sucht. Der Service ist überdurchschnittlich gut und sehr zuvorkommend. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall gerne wieder!

Super Gasthausküche. Riesige Auswahl an Speisen. Schweinebraten ist zu empfehlen. Klasse zubereitete Röstkartoffeln ohne Kümmel mit Kotelett ohne Knochen war auch super. Biergarten ist auch empfehlenswert. Forelle Müller Spitze, knusprige Haut und das Fischfleisch ganz saftig.

Wir lieben es zu Göttfried zu fahren um zu Essen. Viele Jahre lebten wir in Kreuth und haben diese phantastische Küche und das Ambiente genossen - und tun es immer noch. Egal was wir bis jetzt gegessen haben, es schmeckte einfach alles ! Legendär ist der karamelisierte Kaiserschmarrn. Die Bedienungen sind immer nett, auch wenns stressig wird. Viele sind bereits über viele Jahre dort. Wenn man mal etwas länger warten musste, kein Problem. In der heutigen Zeit sollte man über jedes Personal in der Gastronomie dankbar sein. Machts weiter so

Ich kenne dieses Gasthaus seit mehreren Jahren und war bisher mehr als zufrieden, vor allem der Kaiserschmarrn ist ein Traum. Der letzte Besuch war für mich leider nicht so gut da die Schweinshaxe zu 90% aus Knochen und Schwarte bestand und geschmacklich wie von Vortag schmeckte. Auch wenn ich dieses mal nicht so zufrieden war kann ich dieses Gasthaus sehr empfehlen.

The restaurant has a very cozy Bavarian feel, just as it should be. We brought our two dogs with us this afternoon and were quickly and easily given a good seat. The plum cake was amazing. And the service was very friendly. We're going back there for dinner today. Highly recommended!

After a beautiful hike, we stopped by the Café Pension Haus Göttfried and were pleasantly surprised. The ambiance is cozy and inviting, making you feel at home immediately. We would especially like to highlight the excellent cakes – fresh, homemade, and simply delicious. Every bite was a delight, and the selection left nothing to be desired. The coffee was also aromatic and a perfect match. The service was warm and attentive, making us feel in good hands. A wonderful place to stop and treat yourself after a hike – highly recommended!

Cooking with large amounts of flavor enhancers; there's no dish without MSG. (See photo 4 = MSG) I have no idea what that has to do with good Bavarian cuisine. Add to that a careless pile of raw vegetable salad, cafeteria-style. Bavarian Chinese takeaway. One point for correctly labeling the flavor enhancers.

I've eaten there several times, and the food was always good! Unfortunately, the same can't be said for the staff; they were unfriendly and stressed! It's not our fault as guests; they don't even have table reservations! I won't be eating there again; I'd like to be served in a friendly manner; it's simply part of eating out for us. Besides, I don't want to have to call the waiter several times to order.

We had reserved two seats by telephone in good time for 6:00 p.m. When we arrived they couldn't find the reservation. But there was a short-term solution. We learned that guests after us had a similar problem.

The price/performance ratio is excellent. What detracts from the overall impression, and why we will never reserve there again, is the fact that just 45 minutes after our reservation time, we were confronted with the unprompted question of whether to pay by bar or by card. And it continued inexorably. We weren't loud, we didn't eat or drink anything "mini" (I had my third drink 😉), and we fully understand if a table has to be sold more than once in an evening. That was very unpleasant.

I've never experienced anything so unfriendly in my life. The restaurant was busy because others nearby were closed. We wanted to eat something in the covered beer garden, but it was lightly raining. According to the waitress, no service was available. We had just arrived that day, and we probably should have made a reservation. Ha ha, I'm not recommending this restaurant.

We went there for dinner. Personally, I've never eaten so well in Bavaria. Everything, without exception, was simply excellent. The portions were huge and the taste was more than just good value for money. The selection is plentiful. Everything was very fresh, high-quality, and tasted exactly as you would expect. Friendly service, a wonderful atmosphere, and delicious Kaiserschmarrn! A high chair was even brought out for our little one. The elderflower spritzer had the perfect blend and was super refreshing after a hike.

We especially look forward to asparagus season, which adds a special touch to the experience. And when it comes to Kaiserschmarrn, Haus Göttfried’s version is among the best we’ve ever tasted. Yet what truly sets this place apart is the exceptional service. Ingrid, who always takes care of us, is the heart of Haus Göttfried. She’s caring, friendly, sincere, and effortlessly professional. Her attention to detail is remarkable, and she treats each guest like family, without the performative polish that’s all too common in restaurant service these days. No request is too much, and her warmth and accommodating nature create an atmosphere that keeps us coming back. On our June visit, the garden was overflowing with guests, while only a few of us were seated inside. Still, the level of care we received never wavered. We were looked after just as attentively, which speaks volumes about the consistency of service here. A heartfelt thank you to Ingrid for making every visit so memorable. We can’t wait to return to Haus Göttfried on our next Bavarian escape.

A traditional, authentic inn in the heart of Kreuth am Tegernsee. We dined together and enjoyed very friendly and attentive service in a wonderful Bavarian atmosphere. Down-to-earth and delicious food, excellent wine (thanks 😍 again for the recommendation!), and a lovely evening! The prices were very reasonable. A true gem in this otherwise very touristy area. We've been there twice now for a long weekend. The rooms are always clean, and the food is delicious. From there, you can do all sorts of things, even with children. We'd love to come back.

The service in the restaurant today was extremely poor. If there are no free tables on a Saturday, then I was simply unlucky and would learn from that that I have to reserve a table for next time. But seating me and my mother at a table with the advance warning that it would only be available for an hour is one thing - we accepted this. Handing us the menu, then making us wait 15 minutes, and then telling us that the table is reserved and we have to get up is bordering on cheek. They then offered us the drop-in table as an alternative. We then left because there are other good restaurants in the valley. What annoyed me most personally is that I have recommended this restaurant to others on several occasions, but I will not do that again. Today I ate in a restaurant where we were treated like guests.

Ein super Essen und ein guter Service und das alles zu sehr vernünftigen Preisen immer wieder empfehlenswert. Wir reisen seit fast 30 Jahren jedes Jahr an den Tegernsee und kehren immer wieder gerne beim Göttfried ein. Schon alleine die netten Bedienungen vor allem Inge, Ingrid und Doris sind es wert, dort häufig einzukehren. Wenn wir etwas anderes probiert haben, stellen wir immer wieder fest, dass gerade beim Göttfried das Preis Leistungsverhältnis immer stimmt. Besonders zu emofehlen sind der Spargel sowie das Hirschgulasch und das Schnitzel. Aber auch die Käsespätzle sowie der Beilagensalat oder der panierte Fisch sind sehr zu empfehlen. Fazit: beim Göttfried wurden wir noch nie enttäuscht danke dafür 😀

Anyone who comes in here voluntarily has only themselves to blame. This place hasn't learned what service is. Our reserved table in the beer garden wasn't there. The reservation was lost. None of the three waitresses knew how, wherefore, or what for? Already on the way to the beer garden, a waitress stood behind me and urged me on, saying she had to take the food away. It should be noted that the aisle is less than a meter wide and I was walking with crutches. So much for respect for people with disabilities. When we arrived at the beer garden, we asked for our table. As I said, it wasn't there and no one was interested. Unmotivated and unfriendly conditions that leave guests alone. We were then told to choose a table inside. Everything was free there, after all. Great to sit inside in 30°C, even though we wanted to sit outside in the beer garden. Inside, we weren't given any silly looks. The waiters walked past us several times with menus in their hands. We never got a menu. There wasn't even an apology as to why our table wasn't free. If you're looking for bad service, this is the place for you.

We went there for dinner in the early afternoon and got a table without a reservation. The food was very good. Absolutely reasonable value for money. The staff were all very friendly. We would definitely come back if we're ever in the area again.

Unfortunately, the Kaiserschmarren was a disappointment. From the very first bite, it seemed more like a ready-made product from a packet – both in taste and consistency. Ever since I ate it, it's been sitting heavily in my stomach, which shouldn't be the case. It's a shame, because I was looking forward to a traditionally prepared dish. Perhaps it was a slip-up, but more quality and freshness would definitely be appreciated.

The restaurant is very cozy, with an extensive menu and good drinks, or you can sit outside in the beer garden. It's nice and quiet, with friendly service. Kreuth is a small town about 6 km from Lake Tegernsee, but it's worth the drive.

We went to the restaurant without a reservation, were greeted very friendly and asked to sit at a table. The place was extremely busy, but all the staff always had a smile on their faces. We got the drinks and then the food very quickly. The plate was very generously stocked. It's a shame we couldn't stay at Tegernsee longer. But we'll be back in the fall and then just to eat at Götzfried.

We can and only want to rate the restaurant - and that's what it's all about! Top staff, super delicious food and an incredibly good Kaiserschmarrn. For us it was the culinary highlight on our trip to Bavaria.

I have been coming for many years as a house guest and of course also for meals. Everything is right, the food is excellent, the service is great and the rooms are very comfortable. There is hardly any fluctuation in service and I always feel very comfortable there, which means I keep coming back. Super!
