Herrenkeller Ulm in Ulm

Hallo, wir waren gestern Samstag den 18.07.2026 vor Ort. Einmal Schweizer Wurstsalat: Was hat Rettischsalat untern Wurstsalat zu suchen? NICHTS Eine kleine handvoll Wurst mit wenig Käse kaum Zwiebeln und nur mit Essig übergossen serviert zum Preis von über 13 €! Schweinshaxe war OK bis auf den Kartoffelsalat der ging gar nicht (viel zu sauer), schon gar nicht für Echte Schwoba. Die Pommes bek ser Currywurst waren verfallen. Das einzige was geschmeckt hat waren die gschmälzte Maultaschen. Beilagensalat hat man das Dressing vergessen. Dieses Lokal ist für uns nicht empfehlenswert!

Ausgezeichnetes Essen und toller Service. Das Ambiente drinnen wie draußen ist wirklich schön.

Sehr leckeres Essen und eine tolle Atmosphäre – sowohl im Restaurant als auch draußen in der schönen Herrenkellergasse. Besonders empfehlen kann ich die schwäbischen Tapas zum Ausprobieren der schwäbischen Küche.

Hervorragende Küche. Service erstklassig und sehr freundlich. Wir kommen immer wieder gerne.

Wir waren mit unserem Besuch im Herrenkeller in Ulm sehr zufrieden. Die schwäbische Küche hat uns überzeugt – die Speisen waren lecker, von guter Qualität und das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis war absolut fair. Die Bedienungen waren freundlich und aufmerksam, außerdem wurden wir schnell bedient. Die Lage mitten in der Ulmer Innenstadt ist ebenfalls ein großer Pluspunkt. Auch die Toiletten waren sauber und gepflegt. Insgesamt können wir den Herrenkeller gerne weiterempfehlen und kommen bestimmt wieder.

Neben typisch schwäbischer Küche gibt es fast alles auch in Klein/Tapas-Seize. Man kann also mehrere Gerichte teilen bzw. probieren. Top!

Der Kellner mit den längeren Haaren (sorry kein Name) macht den Unterschied. Natürlich positiv. War allein auf Geschäftsreise, unglaublich wie freundlich er zu allen Gästen ist. Sie können froh sein so jemanden heutzutage haben !!! (Essen war natürlich auch super)

Ich war heute zum ersten Mal im Herrenkeller und habe die schwäbischen Tapas probiert. Das Essen war sehr lecker und die Tapas als „Probiererle“ optimal, um verschiedene Gerichte zu kosten. Besonders begeistert war ich vom Service Mitarbeiter Paolo. Mit Herz und Seele hat er uns zuvorkommend, super aufmerksam und freundlich bedient. So einen tollen Service habe ich schon lange nicht mehr erlebt. Chapeau!

Wir kamen aus Spanien und wurden wunderbar behandelt... Die Kellner waren sehr freundlich, das Essen war köstlich und die Umgebung wunderschön.

Wir kommen so alle Vierteljahr zum Essen, es war immer sehr gut und das Personal freundlich und nicht aufdringlich. Immer wieder gern.

Wir waren heute spontan in Ulm und wollten bei unserer Stadtbesichtigung kurze Einkehr machen. Das Essen war sehr lecker, das Ambiente im Biergarten auch, der Service sehr freundlich. Wir können den Herrenkeller uneingeschränkt empfehlen

Riesige Portionen zu sehr angemessenen Preisen. Sehr empfehlenswert!

Super Essen, super Personal, super Location und faires Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. War wirklich eine super Erfahrung und wir bereuen es ein wenig, erst jetzt den Herrenkeller entdeckt zu haben :) Bis auf das Bier (Gold Ochsen) ist wirklich alles klasse und ich freue mich schon auf den nächsten Besuch.

Wir sind wieder und wieder überrascht wie schnell wirst du hier bedingt. Schmecken tut es hier sowieso deswegen sind wir immer wieder da. 😄Also schnell, günstig, freundlich, angenehm und schmeckt ganz gut. 😄

Essen war wirklich sehr sehr lecker. Auch wenn ich mir zum Spargel lieber normale Salzkartoffeln gewünscht hätte. Punktabzug gibt es, weil wir Essen ohne Besteck bekommen haben. Das Besteck wird in Krügen serviert. Ein Tisch wurde erschlagen mit Krügen, wir bekamen erst keinen. Soviel Aufmerksamkeit sollte man schon aufbringen.

Sehr gelungenes Wirtshausambiente, mit klassischer schwäbischer Küche. Man fühlt sich schnell sehr wohl und das Speiseangebot, mit der Idee um die schwäbischen Tapas, sowie traditionellen Klassikern, hat mir außerordentlich gut gefallen. Preislich absolut in Ordnung und der Service machte ebenfalls einen sehr guten Job. Das Cordon Bleu ist zu empfehlen.

Gute Speise- und Getränkeauswahl sowie sehr freundliches Personal.

Nach über 30 Jahren habe ich mich (nach schlechten Erfahrungen) mal wieder hierein getraut - und habe es nicht bereut! Mittagstisch für 10 €: 3 super leckere Rösti mit Kürbiskernen und Kräuterschmand und eine Riesenportion frischer, leckerer Blattsalat mit geraspelten Radieschen. Und: Überraschung! Unter dem Blattsalat kam noch Kartoffelsalat, Gurkensalat und der beste Krautsalat, den ich je gegessen habe, zum Vorschein! Hier war ich nicht zum letzten Mal! Sehr nette Bedienungen und prompte Aufnahme der Bestellung. Vielen Dank!

Leider kann man keine 6 Sterne geben ! Alles war super . Sehr freundliches Personal , sehr leckeres und preislich gutes Essen. Jedoch Reservierung empfehlenswert kann schon sehr voll werden und ohne Reservierung keine Chance. Sehr gerne wieder . PS: witzige Speisekarte!

Wir waren heute zum Mittagessen im Herrenkeller zu Besuch und durften schwäbische Spezialitäten geniessen. Zuerst möchte ich den sehr herzlichen Empfang und den hervorragenden Service loben👍......da ich die kulinarische Messlatte echt hoch ansetze war ich sehr gespannt auf unser Essen....was soll ich sagen, ich hatte die geschmorten Ochsenbäckchen mit Spätzle und Gemüse...einfach himmlisch, Gemüse knackig, Fleisch hervorragend und die Sauce ein Traum.....Tipp von mir: wenn ihr in Ulm seid, geht ins Herrenhaus, super Service, mega Ambiente und das Essen zum niederknien.....ich würd auch 1000000 Sterne vergeben wenn ich könnte. Sehr gute schwäbische Speisen, angemessene Preise, sehr zuvorkommende Bedienung, sehr guter Service. Da viele Einheimische dort hingehen (Vereine z.B) , war es bei uns sehr laut. Könnte stören, wenn man etwas ruhiges sucht.

Die englischen Übersetzungen der Speisekarte wurden sehr geschätzt. Das Essen war hervorragend zubereitet und das Personal war fantastisch.

We stopped here briefly for dessert and a beer. The atmosphere is really cool and authentic, and the service is very friendly. I think we had the apple and sugar bread. It was delicious and went perfectly with the ice cream. A real treat!

They serve very tasty, very reasonably priced lunch dishes here. There is a choice between a vegetarian and a meat dish.

Cool food and drink menu, looks like a newspaper. The pancake soup has a unique flavor, very special, but absolutely delicious. My wife and I had two vegetarian dishes and were very impressed. Attentive staff.

We were on our way home from Tübingen and made a stopover in Ulm. We happened to end up having dinner at the "Herrenkeller." It was fantastic. The restaurant is quaint and cozy. The service was exceptionally friendly and the food was delicious. The presentation was lovely, and the generous portions were beautifully presented at a very reasonable price. If the opportunity arises, we'll definitely be back.

They serve incredibly delicious Swabian specialties here, including, of course, the pan-fried Maultaschen (filled pasta pockets), which are especially tasty here. The boiled beef with horseradish sauce, a weekly lunchtime special, was excellent and very reasonably priced. The staff were all exceptionally friendly, attentive, and courteous. Our visit here was a highlight of our city tour.

A charming restaurant with wonderfully hearty, traditional food and a lovely atmosphere. The service was particularly noteworthy, both the very young lady and the friendly young gentleman. We felt like our beloved grandchildren were waiting for us. I've never been so happy to leave a generous tip.

We found this restaurant by chance and it was a pleasant surprise...the staff is welcoming and very helpful, the food is excellent...we'll definitely be back.

We were a large group of nine people. I made a reservation online, and everything went perfectly. The atmosphere is rustic and traditional. The food was excellent, with generous portions. The roast beef with onions and cheese spaetzle is highly recommended. There was something for everyone. The staff were attentive and always friendly. We paid at the counter. We'll definitely be back.

Tasty Swabian food, and friendly staff 😀

We found our visit to the Herrenkeller to be quaint, friendly, and cozy. Glasses were polished, the beer was lively and delicious (Goldochsen on tap). The lentils with Spätzle were good, the Spätzle especially so. The Maultaschen (Swabian ravioli) were excellent, and the portions were generous. We've had significantly better potato salad elsewhere, especially considering how good the rest of the food was. The service was very pleasant, although it suffered somewhat from one very assertive and loud waitress, as the rest of the staff did a very good and attentive job.

I visited Herrenkeller around lunchtime based on a recommendation. Apparently, the kitchen was a bit overwhelmed, as the fries were almost cold and soggy. The lentils were tasty, but nearly overcooked. Unfortunately, this restaurant isn't for me, even though the recommendation sounded great.

Very cozy atmosphere, well-suited for larger groups. Friendly staff. I wasn't particularly impressed with the food (taste) itself; the Käsespätzle (cheese spaetzle) weren't very good, the salad was okay, and the soup was quite good.

One of the oldest inns in Ulm. Great service, excellent quality food, and the ambiance perfectly suits this venerable establishment. Don't be put off by the prices; they are justified by the quantity and quality. Please come hungry!

The menu offered few gluten-free dishes. When I made the reservation, I specifically asked about gluten-free options. Upon my arrival, the staff had several choices. I opted for a salad, which I thoroughly enjoyed. The service was very attentive.

We meet weekly for our regular get-together at the Herrenkeller, and I also go there regularly for meals on my own. The traditional Swabian cuisine is always excellent! The consistently friendly service and smiles from Andrea, Ewa, and the entire team are particularly noteworthy! I always feel very comfortable there! I'm already looking forward to my next visit. We ate there on Monday at lunchtime and received a very warm welcome despite having a dog and a wheelchair. The entire team was exceptionally friendly and attentive. The food was delicious, freshly prepared, and clearly homemade. The prices were also very reasonable. We really liked the ambiance and decor, and the restrooms were spotlessly clean. We highly recommend Herrenkeller.

The tablecloth was filthy and was only changed after I asked. The vegan Maultaschen (a type of German filled pasta) were from a package, and the potato salad certainly wasn't homemade either. It tasted awful. If you want to eat cheap food and pay a fortune for it, this is the place for you.

After a long day of shopping in Ulm, we revisited the Herrenkeller – our first visit was two years ago. We were already thrilled with the food back then, so the decision to return was an easy one. This time, we ordered currywurst with fries, lentils with Spätzle, and Saitenwürstle (a type of sausage), all served with a side salad. The portions were exceptionally large and more than enough. Everything tasted delicious and was freshly prepared. We would especially like to commend the extremely friendly and attentive service, which was quick and always courteous despite the restaurant being busy. The ambiance is rustic and cozy, with many lovingly arranged nutcrackers in various sizes and colors, giving the restaurant a unique and charming atmosphere. The value for money is absolutely outstanding – everything is just right. We will gladly return and can wholeheartedly recommend the Herrenkeller in Ulm.
