Heritage in Berlin

A lovely place to grab something interesting to eat or just a drink. The menu is very interesting, but you don't always have to go for the full set menu; there are also lighter bites. The espresso martini is excellent, so we had to have two. The service is very friendly and attentive and made our time even more enjoyable. We'll definitely be back.

The steak was really tasty, but quite expensive considering no side dishes were included and had to be ordered separately. The service wasn’t great, the server with the bun was rather unfriendly, and we waited around an hour for our food. When it finally arrived, one of our side dishes was still missing. We ended up spending nearly three hours there, the service was very slow, which made the experience less enjoyable.

We've been here several times for a relaxing drink and a bite to eat and have been very satisfied each time.

Restaurant/café right on Gendarmenmarkt, opposite the French Cathedral. Service is good, but prices are high, considering the area.

If you love Königsberger Klopse (a type of meatball) or want to start your meal with a really good currywurst, this is the place for you! The food is simply fantastic – authentic, prepared with love, and full of flavor. The wine selection is also top-notch and perfectly complements the whole experience. The service was very attentive and friendly, the waitresses courteous and professional. And all this in the heart of Berlin – you really can't ask for more. A definite recommendation!

The employees are incredibly nice and try very hard. The restaurant is nice. But unfortunately the austerity measures are slowly starting to show in the food. The quality is gradually decreasing, but the prices remain the same. It's a shame... I really enjoyed coming here before, but now. There is better for the money.

The cuisine is at a star level, the service is very attentive and at the same time pleasantly reserved, and the ambience is noble and elegant. We'll definitely be back!

I recently visited this restaurant and loved it! A great restaurant with a lot of flair. I felt cared for, but still had enough space to talk to my husband. Had an all around great experience here. Was here for the first time and will see you again!

Depends on the expectation. I didn't like it overall. Waiting time for the first course is far too long. Scharping didn't make sense to me

Warnung vor dem Floating Menu ab 2 Personen: Gerichte müssen selbst geteilt werden und mühsam auf Teller gehoben werden. Ein(!!) Onsen-Ei für 2 Personen unappetitlich, da erste Person beginnt zu essen und 2. Person das zerlaufene Ei zu Ende essen soll. Gleichzeitig Rinderbäckchen auf dem Tisch, das inzwischen kalt wird. Für Blauschimmel-Käse und Schoko-Variation kein gesondertes Besteck. Bis zum Beginn der kalten Vorspeisen mehr als eine Stunde Wartezeit. Insgesamt nicht empfehlenswert!!!

This is the first time I’m writing a review while still dining. So far, a small appetizer and a lobster soup, the food is fine. Not very special, but good. But this is after 2 hours and 15 minutes and we are getting really hungry! They have themselves booked up wille not arranging enough staff. After 30 minutes of no attention we got some bread and a wine, that should go with the appetizer. Which, after another 45 mins was long finished. Then again it took 45 mins for a small cup of soup. We stared with the children a betting game when they will take away our stuff and bringing the next. We’re here for 2h15 now with a soup and little strip of salmon. The consequences of shortage of staff is there is zero attention for the customers. We notice more complaining or tiring customers around us. They forget bringing you water, forget spoons for the soup, forget to take all the dirty dishes from the previous course, and you can not get a hold of them as literally run around. And no kidding, I booked this 6 weeks ago and had to pay € 500 in advance! For which amount I expected more sophisticated food but above all a little more attention and less waiting. An absolute embarrassment for such an allegedly exclusive place.

TOP: Hervorragendes Menue mit besonders exquisiten alkoholfreien Begleitgetränken. Mal nicht Standard, sondern interessant gemixte Getränke, die außerordentlich gut zu den Speisen passten. Und wirklich freundlicher und kompetenter Service.

It was a great experience. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was ideal for a classy Christmas meal. The service was perfect, very attentive. 100% recommended for celebrating a special meal.

I have no complaints about the food, which, despite being more plentiful or sophisticated for the price (€98/pound without drinks for the Christmas menu), is very good and the quality is evident. However, despite the fixed menu, the service was extremely slow... to the point of waiting between 30 minutes, even an hour!!, between courses. We arrived at 7:00 pm and left at 10:15 pm after three courses and dessert, from a fixed menu that you reserve and pay for in advance, and therefore they have it ready (or should have). The dining room was chaotic, with only people waiting for the exact same dishes... The bill, however, wasn't that long in coming. And our surprise came when, in addition to the wine and coffee, they charged us €6 for tap water (????). In short, a long, somewhat sparse and rather slow Christmas Eve dinner for the modest price of €266 (2 people). And then no one said goodbye, not even to grab our coats... Anyway, Merry Christmas!

Als Berliner war es mir wirklich unangenehm, dass viele internationale Gäste um uns herum saßen die auch eine Stunde auf einen ersten Gang gewartet haben. Die Chefin hat sich dann sehr nett entschuldigt! Aber was bleibt: eine unfassbar überhaupt nicht koordinierte Crew vom Service bis zur Küche den Preis nicht wert. Dafür gibt es in Berlin zu viel gute und gehobe Gastronomie.

Lovely area and relaxing inside atmosphere, food was very nice but a tad on the expensive side. The starter was the standout for me!

The meat was so fatty I almost vomited. The portions are so small that a small baby would go hungry. Extremely expensive for the quality. Service was also too slow. We didn't even finish the mini portions. The worst thing is when you go to a restaurant and are so dissatisfied that you have to go to another restaurant. To be fair, the very salty salad, which we didn't eat anyway, was removed from the bill.

An all-round successful evening! The restaurant impresses with a warm atmosphere, attentive service and excellent food. From the starter to the dessert, every dish was a delight, lovingly prepared and tasty. A place you'll love to return to - highly recommended!

Kann diese Restaurant nur empfehlen . Das Essen war sehr gut. Mit dem Service waren wir zufrieden alle sehr nett. Man liess uns weitgehend in Ruhe unser Zusammensein genießen, so in Ruhe, das ich mich zwischenzeitlich schon fragte, ob man uns vergessen hatte. Das liess dann doch ein leicht verstimmtes Gefühl zurück, leider. Schade.

Eine sehr schöne, unaufgeregte und entspannte Atmosphäre. Habe selten ein so zuvorkommendes, freundliches, dabei aber komplett unaufdringliches, dafür sehr authentisches Personal erlebt. Wirklich grosse Klasse. Und das Essen hat alles gehalten was man sich von einem Restaurant dieser Kategorie verspricht. Einziger aus meiner Sicht notwendiger Kritikpunkt: die Lege der sehr sauberen und angenehmen Toiletten im Keller. Lange Treppe, die sicher vielen Besuchern schwer fällt. Ansonsten ein sehr schoner Abend in Ihrem Haus.

I recently went to the Heritage Restaurant in Berlin for the first time and I absolutely loved it! The atmosphere is a perfect mix of cozy and elegant. I particularly liked the creative and humorous design of the menu, which immediately puts a smile on your face with funny dish names. We tried the gallette with burrata and buckwheat - surprisingly different but delicious! Heritage offers a great balance between innovative dishes like truffle fries and classic dishes like beef fillet and entrecôte, both of which were perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. The service was also excellent: friendly, warm and attentive, but not intrusive. And as a sweet extra, there were small chocolate bars added to the house bill, which rounded off the evening perfectly. If you are in Berlin and don't know Heritage yet, you should definitely visit it! Offering creative, well-prepared cuisine in a relaxed atmosphere, this is a real gem that definitely deserves more attention. I'll definitely be back!

Bedienung sehr nett und hilfreich. Das Essen war top. Kompliment an den Koch für die vegetarischen Gerichte. Sehr nettes Ambiente.

The menu seems shorter than years past but perhaps that is wise given current staff constraints, since the quality has been 100% maintained. A seasonal special of lobster and chanterelle omelette was especially delectable. Other welcome touches such as the presentation of different flavoured chocolate thins are also still present. The views aren’t fancy but the quiet of a Berlin Mitte street on Saturday has a certain charm. Decent value for the area, the service & presentation and the quality. In fact would be cheap by equivalent London standards, 4.5 stars for value really.

What can I say? The ambience is really successful. The interior gives the restaurant an upscale touch. The menu is clear and well structured. The service knows what it is doing and has the right answer to every question. The food is all of the best quality and even if it doesn't seem like much on the plate at first glance, a bottle of wine is enough. We had a very nice evening.

Had breakfast here as part of my stay at the Hotel Luc. It was a very nice restaurant with some wonderful employees that were really accommodating and friendly. Two of the employees, Kim and Juan Ignacio were absolutely splendid. Most definitely recommend making this a spot to stop at.

Lovely dinner. Apps were delicious had salmon. Had the Hammer! WOW! It was prepared so well. Excellent taste! Enjoyed the Creme Brule for dessert. Staff was great, efficient and friendly, fun. We had a great time!!

Very nice lunch specials and good atmosphere

Good welcome and generally good service. They forgot the drinks for dinner and we almost didn't get crockery after the starter. Ordered the 4-course recommended menu. Very expensive experiences that could have received 5 stars if they had been attentive. The chocolate dessert had too many different chocolate sauces and was therefore not a good taste experience.

The new Hotel Luc is home to the wonderful Heritage restaurant with indoor or outdoor seating. The menu is small but fine and seasonal, the kitchen knows its craft, and the atmosphere is very pleasant!

I enjoy traveling all over the world to experience fine dining-and Heritage did not disappoint. We opted for the $90pp tasting menu, which was one of the best meals of my life. Sometimes too gorgeous to want to eat, the flavor depth was incredible with each and every dish. The chefs should be commended for their dedication to flavor and creativity. Breakfast was by far the best I had ever had- dishes not to miss are the Eggs Benedict and the Heaven. Five star all the way!

Greedy managers put tables so close together to fit as many guests as possible, causing two issues: Guests cannot have a private conversation even when whispering, and the lack of staff to serve that many guests. Empty wine glasse are unattended and unfilled, and since the tables are small (to fit as many as possible) the wine bottle is somewhere else. So I had to get off our table several time during the night, walk to where the wine bucket is, and fill our glasses. Also servers bringing the plates just leave them on the table and go about their business; not explaining the food, ingredients, etc. Such an iconic location is turned into a greed machine

Ein wunderschönes und qualitativ hochwertiges Restaurant. Der Service war top geschult, Super Weinempfehlung und aufmerksam. Ein paar Kleinigkeiten gab es zu bemängeln aber das ist meckern auf hohem Niveau. Wenn man einen tollen Abend haben möchte mit leckerem Essen und einer schönen Atmosphäre muss man hier hin gehen!

Maybe wanted to but couldn't! The staff was friendly and the food was OK. But this restaurant has little to do with top-class gastronomy... The first course was served as an aperitif. Twice the wines only came after the food was already on the table. The bread plates were not cleared away after the main course and no one asked for coffee. The Italian restaurant around the corner is more of an experience and doesn't cost nearly as much money.

Dogs in the restaurant are not allowed and no cash payment is allowed. Great 👍

Seven of us + four-legged companions had dinner at Heritage. 7x the menu, although we were able to easily swap one course for everyone. The staff is very attentive, very friendly but not intrusive. Perfect in my eyes. A special feature of the menu is that many courses are placed in the middle of the table to be shared. It's something different The waiting time between courses is short and the pace is great. When we made the reservation, we registered our four-legged companion 🐕 and got a table on the edge (if requested). This meant our dog was able to spend the time relaxed and without being in the way. There were also homemade dog cookies! 🍪🦴 Prices are high Quality of the food was very good A successful evening 🐕dogs welcome!
