Han BBQ in Berlin

They ran out of beef by the time we arrived at 20.30 on a Friday night. Very crowded and the tables are close together. Food and service were good.

If you're into Korean BBQ, this is the place for you. It's a rather small restaurant, but the food was fantastic. Sitting on stools isn't really my first choice, though 😉

Had a great evening here, cheese dakgalbi was amazing and the kimchijeon was the perfect side with it! Super friendly people, very fair prices and free banchan refills if you so desire. Probably the closest you can come to an authentic kbbq experience in Berlin

Too much soy sauce in the japchae. The kimchi jjigae was okay. We expected more.

😅 We arrived about 30 minutes after opening, and apart from one table, everything was already booked. How lucky! And it was absolutely worth it. So delicious, friendly service, decor like in a TV show 🤭.

The food was delicious, but a bit overpriced overall. The rice was a flop; it was completely mushy and almost like a paste. It seemed as if it was either overcooked or made with too much water. However, the server was super friendly, always helping us, and even explained how everything worked. You'll definitely be full, though; what we ordered was enough for three people.

The website states that it's located in the Europa Center. This isn't the case. Parking fees for nothing, thank you. According to the information, the store has been closed for five months.

The food is truly delicious, the service is genuinely friendly, and the prices are reasonable. It is a bit cramped and uncomfortable, though. Personally, I would like to see larger water bottles and better tools for stirring and portioning the food, perhaps even just a plate or bowl, because the rice bowl is simply too small.

When you enter you're pleased with the BBQ setup on the table until you see what's really going on. When there's actual no real cooking but BBQing/Warming up frozen food, it can be challenging to justify it. We were served frozen corn kernels not even baby corn and cheese from Metro (talk about authenticity gap to Korean cuisine) , I flipped. Good concept but poorly done dish selection. Really wish Berlin customers demand for non-lazy food.

On my first day in Berlin, I was just walking around aimlessly, looking for dinner. I thought it was a Korean restaurant and walked in without a second thought. The bright-eyed Korean staff took our order with a friendly smile and served us happily. Their friendly demeanor made for a delightful dinner. The pork belly was perfectly raw, not dripping when grilled. The lettuce wasn't Korean, but rather flower-shaped. The ssamjang was delicious. Four people had a bottle of beer and it came out to about 80,000 Korean won. I highly recommend this place for company dinners after IFA work. It's always full when I pass by.

This is a decent samgyeopsal restaurant in Berlin. The prices are reasonable considering local prices, and the food is also good.

The meat itself was decent, and the sides like corn and cheese served around the grill looked just like what you’d find at some Korean BBQ restaurants in Korea. The seafood pancake was thick and tasty. As a Korean, I was a bit surprised that I had to grill the meat myself — but considering this is in Germany, it makes little sense. Overall, it was a pretty solid Korean BBQ spot. I’d consider coming back when I’m craving Korean-style barbecue again.

The food was excellent and the portions were generous. The service was excellent and the staff very friendly. All in all, it was a great visit. However, the space is really cramped, and the restroom isn't particularly large or nice. It looks more like a storage closet. But despite everything, we had a lovely evening.

We managed to find a table without a reservation — not sure if we were just lucky that day. The traditional Korean-style low tables made the atmosphere feel very authentic. The place is a bit small, but the staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. Prices are reasonable in my opinion. The food was absolutely delicious! We ordered the bulgogi and the kimchi pancake. They kept refilling the side dishes as they ran out, which was a nice touch. We were very satisfied with everything. You should definitely give it a try! 🥢

Great Korean restaurant, great food great service. Small and intimate and most of all very tasty. One thing, I think it's just a bit more expensive than I thought it would (prices in the picture are 2yo and 20% or more lower than the actual ones) but still worth it.

A small, very authentic restaurant, but reservations aren't required! The wait staff manages the queues very well, and you can usually get a seat quickly during the week. The meat quality is excellent, and the service is very friendly!

Please, if you are going to choose this restaurant, I recommend that you buy McDonald's... I suffered from enteritis after eating spoiled squid here. After seeing the review later, I saw that there was someone similar to me... I hope that those who read this review will avoid the damage of enteritis... The ingredients are not fresh.

Delicious Tteokkbokki with cheese! Hard to find in the city, so this is a great place to enjoy some. The service is perfect: our waitress was the kindest person in the whole city probably. You get two bowls of rice and 3 side dishes if you order a barbecue dish. You get potato flour noodles with the So Bulgogi (red meat), totally recommended!

A very popular Korean grill restaurant with a great ambience. In terms of price, the restaurant is absolutely fair - a 400 gram grilled portion for two people + side dishes costs a total of €30.80, which is perfectly fine. Only the alcoholic drinks are a little more expensive. We had the pork belly, which tasted really excellent - we were particularly impressed by the side dishes, such as the kimchi. The staff was very friendly and attentive, and the side dishes were always refilled upon request. A small suggestion for improvement: It's great that the side dishes are always added later, but it would be desirable to get a few more lettuce leaves from the start. There were only three pieces in the box each time, and at some point it becomes a bit unpleasant to have to keep asking. The remaining side plates could also be a little fuller at the beginning so as not to constantly address and burden the staff. Nevertheless, we give it a full 5 stars – we will definitely come back!

We had a really good time here :) The food is excellent and varied. The meat and kimchi in particular were real highlights. The prices are very fair (especially if you eat here as a group). The staff are very friendly and patient. As I said, we felt very comfortable and will definitely come back.

Since it works on a "walk-in" basis you have to be a little lucky as to whether or how quickly you get a place. In our case, it was absolutely worth the wait. Really nice service, young team, delicious selection, and good explanations for first-time visitors. Also super cool seats in which you can store your things. In any case, a recommendation!

Everything is great, tasty and fun. However, a little more expensive than other Korean BBQ shops.

Four of us visited this BBQ. The food tasted incredibly good, the meat was marinated very well. The waitress was super nice, listened to us and gave very good recommendations. It is not possible to reserve a table, we waited 51 minutes on Friday evening. There is only one toilet for a BBQ; There is very little space there and it is 100% not possible to use this toilet with a walker.

Really good Korean BBQ. The spicy rice cakes are fuego and ultra delicious. Atmosphere is busy and very loud if you get used to it, but absolutely ok :)

It was our first time there and we ordered BBQ Bulgogi for 4 people (1kg) and Bibimbap with tofu. The portions were absolutely enough and the service was super nice and attentive! Both dishes were very, very tasty and you could always order additional rice or side dishes if necessary. It was a cool and cozy atmosphere, we would definitely come back! :)

I was here as a vegetarian and a meat eater. Their grill was probably very tasty, I ate bibimbap here. This was actually the tastiest bibimbap I've had so far! The tofu was marinated super tasty, there was a great seasoning paste included. The bowl seemed a bit small to me at first, but I came out of the store completely full, it was more than enough! We were there in January and the store was pretty cold, so I left my sweater and scarf on. We had to speak to the waitress so we could order, but then she was super friendly and helpful. We just had slight difficulties communicating at times. For example, the “Korean beer on tap” turned out to be “Korean beer Cass” (in bottles). 😄 Would come again! The food was really very good and everything else was easy to manage.

I felt very sorry for my friend who was eating Korean food for the first time because it was very different from the regular pork sold at the supermarket. The price was a normal dining out price range. I don't expect the highest quality ingredients. How can I serve it to guests? Germans also know that thick red pork is good. The side dishes not pictured included kimchi, green onion green onion, and ssammu. When I asked for normal soju, you knew I was Korean, right? Which Korean drinks soju as soon as they are given it? I know they are hollow chopsticks, but even considering them, they are heavy. I noticed this when my friend said that these were too heavy. If you buy Daiso vacuum chopsticks and compare them, they will be at least 1.5 times heavier. Foreigners who are not good at using chopsticks are uncomfortable. It was my friend's first time eating a Korean meal cooked right on the grill, so I burned my hand without realizing that the surrounding items were also hot. I think it would be very helpful if you gave me a cautionary note in the future. Thank you for immediately noticing that my hand was burnt and helping me cool it down by bringing me a cold bottle.

If you like Korean BBQ and enjoy grilling.😋 Han BBQ is exactly the right place. We've been there 4 times now. And it's always so good.🥰🥰 We had TTEOKBOKKI and the CHEESE DAK GALBI 250g 🥘 for four. With the side dishes and the rice 🍚 it was enough. You can only pay by card there and you should be there in time to get a seat. It gets quite crowded.

Samgyeobsal (pork belly) and banchan (side dishes) were very good. Much better than I remembered from my first visit about a year ago. The Doenjang Jiggae was also good. However, I don't understand why eggs and corn end up in the edge of the grill bowl right at the start of grilling. The crew was also very nice, if occasionally a bit forgetful.

Typically Asian atmosphere. Not necessarily comfortable, but if you like the ambience it doesn't matter much. The meals are served with local drinks. The menu is quite short, but there should be something for every taste and the quality is good value for money. Definitely worth a visit for people who like Asian BBQ, but not for the more “neutral” guest.

By far the most authentic Korean restaurant outside of Korea I've ever been to! From the decor to the food to the signature chairs, you felt like you were transported to Seoul. We ordered the Dalkgalbi, which tasted great and was fun to make! A real recommendation. :)

Of course, the opportunity to use the grill makes the shop special, and in a small group it's a lot of fun.

The service, a young German student, was nice. We were seated at a table right by the window, where it was noticeably cold. An unpleasant draft had a significant impact on one's well-being, making it difficult to sit comfortably for longer without a jacket on. There were makeshift boxes placed over the vents or holes, but they made no noticeable difference. The Table BBQ Bulgogi (beef) was acceptable in terms of taste, but fell well short of my expectations of Korean dishes - regardless of which country I have enjoyed them in so far. The portion of kimchi was too small for a standard serving amount and therefore insufficient. The egg and cheese seemed almost tasteless and should have been seasoned. Unfortunately, neither salt nor pepper shakers were available, which precluded the possibility of customizing the seasoning. The taste of the pancake was more reminiscent of an omelet, which didn't suit my personal taste. Unfortunately, this dish also seemed lacking in aroma and rather bland. From my perspective, the overall experience was disappointing, especially as an Asian woman with a high affinity for Korean cuisine. Due to the defects described, I see no reason for another visit.

We were here on Saturday evening, had to wait around 20 minutes in the queue before getting a table. Unfortunately the food was mediocre at best, we had a seafood pancake and a pork belly bbq, both far from the food quality we enjoyed in Korea.

It's a super pleasant atmosphere, the service was very friendly and attentive and explained everything well to us. The food was incredibly delicious and we will definitely stop by again

Not bad for Korean BBQ. I wish they gave more lettuce. They have large bottles of Makgeolli which is great. Though what is frustrating is that you need to order sets and cannot order meat or bbq dishes individually. It's either a set or nothing. Just be prepared for your clothing and hair to smell. Seating could be a bit more comfortable.

The restaurant has a very friendly atmosphere and the food is really good! Grilling yourself is a particular highlight that I can recommend to everyone. A small disadvantage is that sometimes you have to wait for a table as there are no reservations. But the wait is definitely worth it!

Very tasty Dak Galbi with cheese! Plus 3 panchan (including kimchi), which are refilled. Very nice waitress who explains everything in a friendly manner and also gives Korean language tips. The ambience is typically Berlin, more of a snack bar.

I was just in Korea the weeks before when got invited to this amazing place. The food, atmosphere and taste is the same as in Seoul. There is no free Kimchi and water though. (I think). The pancake was so delicious. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

If you’re looking for the authentic Korean BBQ experience , look no further than Han BBQ. It’s a small place, seating approximately 40 people. So come early or after 20:00 if you want to avoid waiting. They don’t take reservations. Walk-in only. We arrived at around 19:45 and only had to wait for around 10 minutes. It’s not the cheapest place (bottles of soju at €11 really add up😅) but nonetheless I can’t recommend Han BBQ more. Will definitely visit again.

Yesterday we ate in this restaurant for the first time. The concept of "frying" the food yourself takes a little getting used to at first, but after a while it becomes really fun. The food was also very tasty. The service was friendly and helpful. However, I would deduct one point for the extremely high temperature in the restaurant. It seems like the air conditioning isn't working properly, so you come out drenched in sweat after eating.

This is, by far, my favorite Korean BBQ in Berlin. The atmosphere is amazing and the food is exceptional. The prices are also reasonable. Highly recommend and make sure you come early to avoid queuing for a long time, since the place is relatively small.

Had a great Korean BBQ experience, including ‘bomb’ (mixture of soju and beer). Very nice tastes of the food. We were four people, had two ‘table bbq dishes’ of 500 grams each, and we were totally fine.

Everything here is amazing. The people, the atmosphere, the food. Ufh. The food is amazing. It always hits the exact right way and it is so good. The only thing to know is it can be quite busy, so you have to be lucky to get a spot sometimes. Also the people that work there are veeery friendly and nice! You roll out of there with a full belly, that's for sure.

We actually wanted to go to the Han Factory, but unfortunately it was full that day. So we avoided here. The BBQ was very tasty. However, we were missing some marinade or salt with the meat. The shop is very small and therefore very loud. It's more difficult here with a child and a stroller. You could store your things in the seat buckets so that they don't absorb as much smell. Service was super nice.

The staff was so nice, they were always giving their best and the food was the tastiest I’ve tried so far in Berlin. I was very satisfied with the size of the dishes’ portions. We also got the basic samgyeopsal and If you’re three friends just like us - the smaller portion is more than enough (If you have already eaten sth else as well). They have nice korean beer. :))

Everything was perfect, the chef took special care. We ate 1 kilo of bulgogi, rice wine, soju kimchi, we paid 100 euros for 4 people, it was very good. Don't expect luxury from a classic Korean restaurant, but the taste and ambiance were superb.

Great taste, super delicious kimchi! Very nice service and cozy atmosphere. The flame on our BBQ could have been left on longer; it tended not to be 100% cooked through, but we could have said that ourselves; So I would only give us 4/5 stars for that.
