Very good Brazilian restaurant. The restaurant is centrally located and the operators and staff are extremely friendly. One of the pieces of meat was a bit tough and the portion was rather manageable. Unfortunately, the typical northern Brazilian stews were also not available. Basically no big problems but overall not a full score. Still happy again.

Die Vorspeise war super, das Personal sehr nett. Die Hauptspeise war dann geschmacklich leider sehr unspektakulär, obwohl ich nach der Beschreibung mit sehr vielen Kräutern und Gewürzen etwas ganz anderes erwartet hätte. Die Nachspeise war dann wieder groß und großartig, lecker, lustig angerichtet, aber leider begleitet vom Supergau, einem heißen Espresso, der mir über Hose und weiße Schuhe gekippt wurde. Man hat sich zwar unzählige Male entschuldigt und mir einen neuen Espresso gebracht, den man mir aber tatsächlich auf die Rechnung gesetzt hat, was ich unverschämt und kleinlich gefunden habe in Anbetracht einer hohen Gesamtrechnung, einer Hose, die die ersten Stunden eines Städtetrips nicht überlebt hat und Schuhen, aus denen die Kaffeeflecken letztendlich gar nicht mehr rausgingen. Schade, es hatte so gut angefangen...

Probably one of the most welcoming team I saw in HH. Super listening, talkative and do their best to provide a real service. Super calm. The product are good quality and large served. If you want to spent a good moment, I recommand 🙃

To be honest, the appropriate rating would be 4.5 out of 5 stars. Food was good. The price was okay, as were the portions. There were nice pieces of meat on our plate. Unfortunately my wife didn't quite get the cooking point she wanted. Hence the half point deduction. Otherwise, the typical Brazilian dishes were delicious. Service was super nice, accommodating and every meal was explained.

That was really nothing! Grill plate - cooking point not met, meat generally inferior, seasoning disgusting. Service is also disinterested, so the ambience can no longer be broken.

The food was okay, nothing special. atmosphere rather oppressive. There are better restaurants and better food nearby.

As a Brazilian I can say that it’s not really Brazilian food and super expensive. Don’t recommend it at all.

The restaurant is simply but relatively comfortably furnished. The service is very friendly and flexible. What's positive is that the water is Viva Con Agua instead of the usual large corporations. The dishes (vegan stew with hearts of palm and bananas; beans) were generally freshly prepared, although I would have liked more spice because I ordered spicy. Instead of fresh chili there was only a hot ready-made sauce. Everything else seemed fresh and tasty. The vegan dessert (coconut flan) was also good - overall a recommended restaurant around the corner.

Always when we are in Germany we visit this restaurant several times for lunch and dinner . The food as tipical brasilian food is excelent. The anbient is great and all food we tried was outstanding . The service is great also .

I was in the restaurant 3 times in June and I was one more time before I come back to Houston . Always when I’m in Germany this is a must point. The food is out of this world and the service is outstanding. I cannot suggest a plate since all I ate was delicious.

After our vacation in Brazil, we really missed the kitchen. You feel at home in the Helo Restaurant, stylishly furnished with lots of green accents and beautiful photos of one of the most beautiful countries. After biting into the picanha and tasting the feijoada, we were able to travel back in time, taste of vacation and excellent service! Had to wait 45 minutes for our food. fries were cold. If you don't feel like serving customers at the last minute. be honest and tell the customer that it is no longer possible to serve your customer 😉

Der Service war ausgezeichnet. Es wurden sofort Malbücher hergeschafft und weder auf das Essen noch auf die Rechnung haben wir lange gewartet. Es ist sauber und ordentlich. Nach unserem Besuch hat uns die Servicekraft per Sprint eingeholt um uns die vergessenen Spielzeuge nachzutragen. Das Essen hat uns gut geschmeckt und war auch ausreichend. Leider haben wir unseren ganzen Urlaub lang nie so viel für ein Essen mit allen ausgeben müssen. Daher nur 4 von 5 Punkten.

We went to an early dinner with our association Meeresladies e.V. from Scharbeutz after a tour of the Hamburg State Opera and were lovingly looked after by boss Helo and mom and her team.

Any Brazilian knows that good customer service is the most important thing, and that at the same time it costs the establishment zero, but unfortunately an attendant there has not yet realized this.

Delicious Brazilian cuisine. There were hearts of palm, as well as fried tapoika and polenta, with apple and mild chilli dip. Then a northern Brazilian stew. 😋

Some authentic brazilian food in Hamburg. We got for Starters free bread with Aioli :) They also have some great lunch specials and special dish of the day. We had Mama’s Feijõada, and it definitely did not dissapoint. The portions of their food is fair and the atmosphere of this restaurant is lovely.

A real insider tip! We ate and drank really, really tasty here and felt really comfortable! The menu is so extensive that you don't even know what to choose. The food is freshly prepared in the traditional way and is lovingly prepared - the eye can also eat here! The cook then came to us personally to check whether everything was OK. The staff was also very friendly and there was even homemade schnapps included with the bill. We'll definitely be back!

Good to very good Brazilian in the heart of Hamburg. The authentic cuisine was very well received by us. The service is very committed, very nice and accommodating. If you want to get a taste of Brazil, a visit to Helo is recommended. When making a reservation you should try to get a seat upstairs. The ambience is a little better there than downstairs. We sat downstairs and that's why we "only" got 3 stars for ambience.

I really travel around the world a lot. Due to a constant lack of time, you usually take whatever is nearby. I was even more surprised and happy that everything that was important to me was fulfilled 100%. A quiet ambience, yet atmospheric and not too intrusively lit but not too dark either. The relationship between the height of the seats and the table was perfect, no uncomfortable bending down. Cozy seating. Clean and well-kept interior as well as fast and reliable service. The prices are appropriate for the quality and completely acceptable. There was really nothing to complain about, everything was not just good, but remarkably good! The portion size is completely sufficient! Every recommendation completely met my taste, incredibly good wine. You just have to communicate verbally and ask questions sometimes. I was really impressed and will definitely check it out more often after work! It's nice that there is still really attentive service combined with good quality at an affordable price.

Wir sind sehr herzlich begrüßt worden, wir alle fühlten uns sehr wohl. Die Auswahl des brasilianischen Essens auf der Speisekarte ist super! Mein Lieblingsgericht ist Feijoada, Escondidinho ist ebenfalls sehr sehr lecker, auch die Fischgerichte kamen super bei unseren Freunden aus Mexico an. Eine tolle Überraschung waren die Drinks nach dem köstlichen Abendessen.

Very nice and very tasty. But I was pleased to discover two vegan stews on the menu as main courses. I took the first one, but only got as much as an appetizer. Even if you had put the rice in the bowl, it wouldn't have been full and there would have been more rice than anything else. (I had only stirred with the spoon and hadn't eaten anything when I took the photo.) So I went out hungry for €15.50. A pity. Apparently, only meat dishes are still seen as serious dishes here, as if we didn't have a climate problem.

Good meat but the service was a disaster. Slow and super inefficient. To bring four empty plates the lady needed three turns . Water and glasses for all four of us the same. We ordered a bottle of a 2015 Uco Valley Malbec. She brought us a 2020 and did not seem to understand the difference whatsoever.

We recently spent a lovely evening there with very nice, attentive service in a great atmosphere. The food tasted good, but we would have hoped for a little more. According to the menu, the stew was supposed to contain a lot of spices, but it tasted quite neutral and the portions were average in terms of quantities. We enjoyed it, but there was definitely still room for improvement.

The quality of the food was not really recommendable and it was kept sparingly. - the starter platter for 4 people, for example, is actually just olives, capers, salad and a few dates in a bacon coating + 4 dough balls and wafer-thin ham, all counted out exactly. The service seemed “tormented” friendly. Luckily there is more choice of good restaurants in Hamburg...

A charming restaurant with authentic Brazilian cuisine! - Impeccable, friendly service, very good drinks and good value for money! - The owner takes care of her guests in a touching and warm-hearted manner and the eye enjoys the stylish and elegant ambience that the family has lovingly brought into her restaurant by hand! - A place to come again!

Unfortunately it was a terrible experience. The food was simply horrible, tasteless, without terrible seasoning. I was with my family and all of our dishes had serious problems. Mine had completely tasteless beans and seemed to have been defrosted, rice seems to have been made in a hurry and not washed properly. The meat called minced meat was tasteless, poor quality meat. Other dishes on the table, such as oven-baked rice, looked like a mixture of everything left over from the previous day and they placed a slice of gouda or mozzarella cheese on top of those that are sold in any supermarket in Germany. We ordered snacks for starters and they served us snacks that were fried in dirty oil, seemed to have been refried from other days and the kibbeh had a sour/spoiled odor. I hope none of us get sick from the food or other people who ate it. Finally, during preparation, you could hear the sound of the microwave in the background when time runs out. As they say, if the restaurant uses a lot of microwaves, be suspicious! I don't usually leave reviews even for bad restaurants, but this one crossed the line, total frustration, it's a complete shame to be linked to Brazilian cuisine. If you are Brazilian, please be sure that you can cook better food at home and you don't need to spend your money in this place, which by the way is very expensive for the food offered. I don't recommend it to anyone, keep my sincere warning! I wonder if the health surveillance (Bundesinstitut Für Rsikobewertung?) in Germany is monitoring it, I hope so.

Ein wahnsinnig tolles, leckeres und außergewöhnliches Restaurant, wo wir jederzeit wieder hingehen würden. Wir haben alles mitgenommen... Cocktails, Vorspeise (die erste ist absolut empfehlenswert), Hauptgericht und Nachspeise ☺️

So ein tolles Essen und sooooo freundliche Leute !! Es war perfekt!

Richtig gutes uns für Nordeuropäer ungewöhnliche Speisen werden neben kreativen Cocktails zu durchaus angemessen Preisen von sehr freundlichem Personal serviert.

Ein sehr schönes brasilianisches Restaurant. Wir waren das erste Mal hier und ich muss sagen, dass mich die Freundlichkeit und die familiäre Atmosphäre sofort überzeugt. Man fühlte sich sofort wie in Südamerika. Einzig der Fernseher an der Wand, der laufend in Zeitraffer Bilder Brasiliens zeigte, fand ich etwas unpassend, neben der doch "authentischen" Bilder und Dekorationen. Außerdem nahm es etwas von der Ruhe/Gemütlichkeit des Raumes, da die Bilder bzw. kurzen Filme eben im Zeitraffer liefen. Das Essen wiederum war qualitativ und geschmacklich einfach unglaublich gut. Ich würde es jedem empfehlen, der noch nie brasilianisch gegessen hat, hier hin zu kommen. Wenn man etwas nicht kannte, wurde sich auch die Zeit genommen, alles in Ruhe zu erklären. Einfach toll. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Wir haben Silvester einen tollen Abend verbracht. Der Service war richtig gut und eine tolle Atmosphäre. Das Essen, vor allem die Steaks 300g, war sehr lecker. Das Helo Steak war leider nicht Medium, dass war Pech Wenn wir in Hamburg sind, kommen wir gerne wieder.. Gruß aus Ostfriesland.
