This wonderful restaurant is located just outside Leverkusen, just before Schildgen. The interior, with its wood and beautiful decorations, creates a cozy, warm feeling. The friendliness of the waitresses and waiters invites you to stay longer. The food is absolutely delicious every time we've been there. It's also beautifully presented. There are three beers on tap, which are also great. The white wine is always at the perfect temperature. We'll be back a few more times because we always enjoy it.

I would absolutely recommend! This is a hidden place to go. If you are not living in this area, you probably wouldn’t find it but the quality is on the next level service is very friendly. The atmosphere is very quiet so for this type of restaurant. 9/10

Unfortunately, it doesn't live up to its good reputation at home. We were tempted by the good reviews and celebrated our wedding anniversary here. In short: service was nice but very slow. We often had to ask for new drinks instead of being asked about them. The appetizer platter was the best part of the evening. Unfortunately, things went downhill after that. The main course included raw vegetables, poorly seasoned sauces and half-baked fish. The ingredients were all top, but unfortunately the preparation failed. The dessert wasn't a hit either, the chocolate cake tasted like it came from the microwave. Overall, it was rather mixed and definitely not worth what was on the bill at the end. Unfortunately we won't be coming back again.

The “Heimisch” is one of my favorite restaurants. Service was super nice, food was sensationally delicious. I have recommended it to others many times and always with complete conviction.

Unreserved recommendation! Called spontaneously on Easter Monday and got a table for two for lunchtime primetime. Friendly welcome upon arrival, nice atmosphere, large enough table for two. Salmon and Viennese schnitzel as main courses, strawberry tramisu, espresso, for a good €82, it's a high price that you have to be willing to afford, but the quality was very good.

We had Christmas dinner here, which was really delicious. The atmosphere was great and the service was very attentive. We would come back here at any time.

It was my first time here based on a recommendation and I was able to eat a really great salad. The employees are all extremely friendly, drinks are brought quickly, orders are taken quickly. Only the waiting time for the food (although we were there in the run-up to Christmas, maybe it's different in quieter times) is relatively long at one hour. However, the food makes up for it. Maybe next time I'll just have an appetizer, then the time won't seem so long ;) The ambience is very nice and harmonious, but it was relatively loud in the main room due to two larger groups. Overall, however, a successful concept, we will be back.

A little bit of vacation. We were only there for a short time and had booked at very short notice. Everything is great, the food tastes great and the service is great. The kitchen is top. It wasn't the first time and definitely not the last time we were there!!

We have eaten at Heimisch several times as a couple or with larger groups and would therefore like to leave a review: Really a great restaurant with a nice atmosphere, very, very friendly staff, a great selection of drinks and a changing, well thought-out menu. The dishes (especially the starters) impress us every time and we would love to come back! The eye also eats here. A great bonus: The staff was always very open-minded and warm, even when we visited the restaurant with children.

The prices are quite high, but I have to say the price/performance ratio is right, not only is it damn tasty and delicious, the portions are plenty. I went to this restaurant because of the ambience. I really enjoy eating at different restaurants, and the "Heimisch" restaurant caught my attention when I drove past it. The service was great, friendly and nice. There was really nothing to complain about. However, in my opinion the food was not suitable for people from different backgrounds as the ingredients and preparation were not adequately explained. Personally, I am a nurse and am very passionate about nutrition. That's why I've been avoiding pork for years, not for religious reasons, but because of facts that have convinced me. Even though I don't eat a lot of meat in general, when I do I want to enjoy it. Since I like to eat outside and don't cook much due to my job, I ordered a dish with fried potatoes. I wasn't aware that fried potatoes are usually made with diced bacon. In my opinion this should be made clear on the menu, not just as "back steak with fried potatoes". I still tried and ate the food as it seemed rude to let it go back. However, the food was not very seasoned, the meat was not medium, but very tough, as it was still quite raw in the middle, i.e. "rare" and not "medium". The starter for two people wasn't worth the price. It only consisted of grilled peppers, carrots and mozzarella cheese... and definitely wasn't enough for two people. We sat at a small table right next to the storage corner where I had a direct view of these things that had been put down, which made me feel very restricted. In summary I would say the restaurant is nice as long as you don't get a table in the corner and the staff is great. However, I was not impressed by the food and I think that it is more aimed at locals, as the name suggests, and not necessarily suitable for people with foreign roots. When I was younger, I worked as a waitress myself and had a case in which a lady with a headscarf and little knowledge of German wanted to order a cake. She ordered “tiramisu”. When I informed her that it contained alcohol, she thanked me because she didn't know this, even though it was noted on the card. Waiting is not an easy task because you have to assess your audience and know the products thoroughly, even if not all the ingredients are clearly indicated on the menu. It was an experience that I took with me and I don't regret the visit.

Drove by so many times and finally tried it out...I thought the reviews were embellished, but the visit is worth it. Not exactly cheap, but hey, many people can do a chip shop. I've had the opportunity to experience more upscale cuisine here and tried the entecôte from the daily menu. It was ordered in English... just missed it and it was medium delicious. The meat was given enough time to recover from the cooking process and did not lose any of its juice across the plate. Compliment - not everyone can do that... The entire main course was perfectly prepared for the eyes and palate (5 stars with exclamation marks). First of all, the starter (strawberry and asparagus salad)... mega delicious combination! Finally a crème brûlée.....delicious. Hey.... Mühlen Kölsch in Leverkuse for €1.80.... great. The other drinks are also fairly priced. It is... worth a sin... or is it okay to sin often... Wir haben hier unser Weihnachtsessen mit der Firma gehabt. Es war schön. Das Essen war richtig lecker, die Bedienung sehr zuvorkommend. Vielen Dank dafür. Wir saßen im Wintergarten und dort steht ein Bullerofen, der es zwar sehr gemütlich macht, aber es war sehr warm. Also sehr zu empfehlen, aber im Winter nicht zu nah an den Ofen setzen, es sei denn, ihr friert schnell. Dort gehe ich bestimmt noch öfter lecker essen.

The ambience is very good and the service staff is friendly/attentive. The problem is the kitchen: We ordered 4 main courses and received our dishes after over 1.5 hours. The steak was not medium but rare and still lukewarm. The side salad is sugary sweet. The hunger was now so great that we decided not to go to the kitchen again. Word of the long waiting times has already spread among friends and does not seem to be an isolated case. A pity

Super leckeres Essen, sehr aufmerksamer Service. Auch das Ambiente ist schön, Abzüge gibt es für die schlechte Luft im Lokal. Es ist sehr stickig und wenn man rausgeht, riecht man sehr nach Essen. Da wäre eine Abhilfe hinsichtlich der Abluft sehr hilfreich.

Ich war nun schon mehrfach im heimisch essen und jedes Mal war die Qualität des Essens wirklich ausgezeichnet! Außerdem sitzt man wirklich nett, vor allem in dem „Wintergarten“. Alle Mitarbeitenden sind sehr aufmerksam und der Service ist top. Klare Weiterempfehlung!

Wir können die guten Rezensionen leider nicht teilen. Die Begrüßung beim Eintritt war unschön, da die Dame hinter dem Tresen bei unserem Eintritt noch nicht einmal aufschaute. Nachdem sich dann endlich jemand um uns „kümmerte“, erhielten wir einen schönen Tisch. Die Speisen sind „gewollt aber nicht gekonnt“. Das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis stimmt leider nicht. Vielleicht sind wir zu anspruchsvoll, aber für uns gesamt nicht stimmig. Zuvor erfragt Selbstgemachtes (Schupfnudeln) am Ende leider doch Convinience Food. Büffel-Mozzarella wird als 2cm kleine geschmacklosen Kügelchen serviert. Wir waren gesamt sehr enttäuscht und können dieses Restaurant leider nicht empfehlen.

Spitzenqualität. Essen für den Gaumen, wie auch fürs Auge sehr gut. Sehr freundliche Bedienung. Tolle, gemütliche Atmosphäre. Ich komme definitiv wieder!

Das Essen ist immer wieder lecker und ein Genuss. Das Ambiente ist sehr schön. Der Außenbereich ist auch bei kälteren Temperaturen durch die Glaswände und die Öfen nutzbar. Das Personal ist sehr gut und super aufmerksam. Immer wieder gerne.

Vorgestern zum ersten mal im Heimisch gegessen. War richtig lecker, zudem Personal sehr freundlich, und Wartezeit trotz vollem Restaurant angemessen, Preis-Leistungsverhältnis top: Tolles Team. Werde gerne wiederkommen. Man sollte allerdings vorab reservieren. Hab mehrere Versiuche gebraucht, um einen Tisch zu bekommen. Das leckere Essen hat sich wohl schon weit rumgesprochen.

Der Laden sieht liebevoll eingerichtet aus und bei diesem Punkt ist Name auch Programm. Eine Bewertung des Essen bleibt an dieser Stelle leider aus, da uns aufgrund der völlig ausbleibenden Gastfreundschaft der Appetit leider vergangen ist.
