Doner kebab experience at Havanda in Frankfurt I've often passed Havanda, a modern-looking kebab shop in the heart of Frankfurt. Today I was excited to finally go in and test out what's on offer - even though the shop isn't necessarily famous for its kebab. When you entered, you noticed the modern, minimalist ambience, but without classic service. Everything is more functional here: you order and pay at the counter, receive a buzzer and pick up the food yourself as soon as it is ready. The service charm, where the kebab man greets me with a friendly “Hello, boss”, was missing. As for the kebab, I couldn't exactly get my usual order - "herbs, spicy, with everything except cucumber" - because there was only garlic or special sauce. I decided on the yoghurt sauce, which wasn't spread on the bread, but ended up in a thick blob on top, almost like a quark potato. Not only did it look a bit unusual, it also tasted unusually sour. But yogurt isn't my favorite either; I prefer the mayo-based Berlin sauces. The bread was very reminiscent of Subway's soft sandwiches, only in a Turkish version. Unfortunately, it was so soft that the crust eventually gave way and the contents oozed out the side - a bit of a challenge for the kebab experience. The chicken, which was actually supposed to be the “star” of the chicken kebab, was barely noticeable in terms of taste and appearance, seemed bloated and was hiding under some lettuce and plenty of sauce. To drink I ordered a Cola Zero, which was freshly tapped from Frankfurt tap water. A 0.2 liter cup for €3 made me smile for a moment, and even with a “sandwich” for a whopping €8.90 I expected at least some substance. The price-performance ratio seemed overpriced to me, despite understanding the business idea. Conclusion: Havanda offers a modern, uncomplicated snack that is neither convincing in terms of taste nor value for money. Okay for a quick bite without any special requirements, but I wouldn't recommend this shop to any real kebab lover.

I found it by researching on the internet before my trip. We had lunch with my family today. Meat wraps, döner kebab and minced meat pita. Portions are quite sufficient. The employees are very attentive. Definitely recommend. I do.

Food tastes good and is fresh. Update: I personally don't like the new bread and it was hard. Normal flatbread would be much better. Hence from 5 to 4 stars

Nothing special about the kebab plate today I tried a handful of kebab and was shocked I did everything wrong and I wanted it completely different and Dan I realized that it's not the quality that's the problem, it's the incompetent staff who are doing everything wrong. So I have to praise them if they maintain the bread and the quality and the staff then they will be number 1

This was my second time eating at Havanda and I found it very tasty. The quality is really good and the price is really justified. Furthermore, the staff is friendly and accommodating

The store used to be very good and the employees tried hard and weren't that rude. Nowadays they get the orders wrong, hardly any meat in their kebabs (even though you pay for extra meat). Even the bread is no longer toasted properly. It's a shame to see how this once great kebab has deteriorated so much.

I am not a big fan of Döner 🥙 but this place makes me change my mind. I can recommend the berliner, Iit’s a yummy fulfilling sandwich.

I visited Havanda, a Turkish Restaurant in Frankfurt during my Europe trip and, although I was a bit unsure when choosing from the menu, the staff was helpful, and the meal was very nice. The place was quite busy, but the service remained efficient, and the food was flavorful and satisfying. It was a pleasant eating experience and worth trying if you're in the area.

They have changed the kebab meat unfortunately it is not like before I notice immediately and it really tasted very bad. I have no reason to go there and.

If you want to eat real kebab, you've come to the right place. I also thank the staff.

I go there regularly - in my opinion (at least since there's a new bread) it's the best kebab in town

The modern interior has its own atmosphere, the staff is smiling and the food is prepared in a space visible to the customer. Ayran is delicious 😇 we ordered a Berliner sandwich and a vegetarian bowl, if I remember correctly. Delicious! And I'm picky about vegan food. Delicious and crispy falafen, great sauces... I recommend it to everyone while staying in Frankfurt. Ah! The waiting time was also within normal limits, which is also a big plus.

In my opinion, the best kebab meat in FFM, and a top restaurant too.

We ate Berliner and chicken box and paid 17.8 €. The service is fast, you have to wait a little bit inside (5-10 minutes). Doner was delicious.

For €6 the kebab would just be bad. For at least €9.9, this is one of the most disappointing kebabs I've had. Homemade Ayran where it feels like the salt was forgotten and the skewer tastes like a stable. I wouldn't be surprised if my "beef" kebab was served with a lot of sheep.

We bought chicken bowl and 2 chicken deluxe and it fed 5 people. The taste was also good, they put the products in abundance. The atmosphere of the place was nice, you felt comfortable. It didn't have a stuffy atmosphere, it was wide. The employees were very nice. Since it was our first day in Germany, they tried to help us a lot. Great döner and friendly service. Döner is far from that dough-like processed stuff you find all over germany-it is true yaprak döner and very true to the original recipe combining the finest german elements. Staff is very friendly, thanks Kurtuluş Abi for the warm Turkish welcome. Definitely a go-to place to get a good Turkish meal if you’re around central Frankfurt

You get a kebab that corresponds to the price. I also ate a lahmacun. The ingredients here are extremely well selected. The kebab bread is homemade. The Lahmacun, or more precisely the bread, was problematic because it wasn't rolled up properly and stuck to the paper packaging. I only ate on site. The content of the Lahmacun was perfect in my opinion. ♥️ Very good food for Frankfurt conditions.

Delicious kebab, a bit dry, and a bit too expensive

Actually a good concept, but unfortunately Havanda didn't live up to our expectations. We were there to eat real Turkish lahmacun as we had heard from friends that it was served here. The dough was crispy and thin, but the topping was disappointing - far too much pepper and hardly any meat, onions or other typical ingredients. Unfortunately, the taste was not what we had imagined, even if the way it was served was appealing. The ayran was good, it has to be said. However, it was very chaotic in the restaurant. Our first order came last and the employee took the order incorrectly. When I asked him about it, he got annoyed. Overall, the visit unfortunately disappointed us. We tried it, but Havanda doesn't represent authentic Turkish cuisine for us. Unfortunately, there is still no restaurant in Frankfurt that really achieves this.

Turkish style lahmacun (no roll and no döner inside) was very delicious. Istanbul döner was also nice. The athmosphere is great and nice staff. I definetely suggest this place those who love Turkish food.

Was there for the first time and had a kebab. I can't say anything about the taste, it was good. Prices a little too high for my taste, but still manageable. Ambiance is beautifully done. I will come back soon and try one or two dishes.

What a great eatery. Very busy place on a Saturday afternoon but it was still clean, food came quickly and service was excellent. Chicken döner was amazing, full of flavors and the bread was soft, delicious and fresh. Will definitely go back next time I’m in Frankfurt.

It's been a long time since I've had an incredibly tasty kebab with a decent size at a fair price. I had the Chicken Deluxe kebab and it tasted just amazing. My friends had pide and they were all happy too.

USURY 8.90 EUR for a Chicken Supreme Sandwhich, I couldn't taste or recognize the chicken at all, it looked bloated, hidden under a few shreds of lettuce and sauce. Absolute disappointment, you don't get anything for what you put down. I was still really hungry afterwards and I really don't eat much. Not recommended.

I recently visited Havanda and have to say it was a mixed experience. The atmosphere was pleasant and the furnishings were stylish, but unfortunately the service left a lot to be desired. The staff was friendly, but seemed a bit overwhelmed and disorganized. The food itself was OK, but nothing special. Some dishes were well seasoned and tasty, while others were rather bland and uninspired. The portion sizes were okay, but I would have expected a little more for the price. Overall it wasn't bad, but it wasn't something that would necessarily draw me back again. Conclusion: An average experience. If you don't have high expectations and are in the area, you can try Havanda, but there are certainly better options in the city.

The atmosphere and food were above average and the employees were friendly and polite.

It was very good at first, but the food quickly deteriorated. When I cooked the kebab I had hard pieces like gristle. The lahmacun used to be great, but yesterday it was so soggy that I didn't finish it. It seems like they paid more attention to quality in the beginning, but now they have lost control.

There were three of us and we ate pide, iskender and falafel. The food tasted excellent and the ambience is also very authentic. Price/performance is top. The service was very efficient. We'll stop by again on our next visit to Frankfurt.

Unfortunately there is no zero star otherwise I would have chosen. The food was exceptionally expensive and extremely salty. Long waiting time even though there was nothing going on. The salon smells like sewage because toilets were built right in the middle of the shop. It's a shame for the money and the time.

The durum were very tasty, with quality meat and you could savor the individual vegetables and fresh herbs. The portion was huge, so you should definitely come hungry.

Unfortunately the price is not justified and you can get a better kebab next door. The look is amazing, even fries in bread are something new for me. The place I visit when I come to Frankfurt

I'm only rating the kebab as I haven't tried any other dishes, 8.90 euros for a beef kebab is okay. If the quality is right, sauces were okay, bread was way too dry, meat was too tough and salad didn't taste good at all, there are significantly better kebabs in Frankfurt. Service wasn't that good either, very unfriendly when ordering. Therefore only 3 stars, mediocre. But as we all know, tastes are different

Weather was 30 Celsius. Restaurant was 40 Celsius :))) Döner plate with Ayran costs 17 euros. There is no air conditioning. I think you have enough income to provide air conditioning.

They lowered the quality a lot! I was vsiting a lot. A few months ago I would say they have best döner in town. They changed a lot, smaller portion and absolutely bad quality döner. I dont know what I have eaten last time but hardly can say döner.

As delicious as this kebab may look at first glance, it was inedible. We had to wait just over 10 minutes until we got our food. Afterwards the meat was cold for both of us, the only positive thing was the sauce on it! Immediately after eating, my girlfriend felt bad and had to vomit. We no longer visit this store! Once and never again! I advise everyone away from the store!

A Turkish fast food place that has turned out to be the place I've had to wait the longest in life. 30 minutes In the beef box, the salad means 4 leaves of iceberg lettuce wrongly counted. A total disappointment. The waiters with a lazy rhythm.

My first impression of the layout attracted me to this restaurant to order. I order the Havanda, a kebab plate with beef, fries, vegetables, salad and a drink. I was probably the first customer that day. It was around 11 a.m. and no one else was there. My order was brought to the table after about 10 minutes. The device that was given to me to signal me that my food was ready didn't seem to work. About the food: the portions were ok. The meat was only lukewarm. In the middle of the meat I found a piece of bone that I bit down on. It wasn't seasoned properly. The fries were warm and tasty. The salad was sprinkled with a little feta, which was certainly tasty. The grilled vegetables were ice cold, but that was probably how they were supposed to be. Overall, I unfortunately have to say that it was a unique visit. The price-performance ratio is rather typical given the location, but the taste and quality make the whole thing seem rather poor.
