I had a grilled plate that was served with five different types of meat - all perfectly seasoned, incredibly tasty and not a bit dry! There was also a small portion of ajvar, which gave the dish a pleasant spice, and a fresh salad on the side. The service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere in the restaurant was very pleasant. If you're looking for hearty, excellently prepared grilled dishes, you've come to the right place. Absolutely recommended – I would love to come back!

What can you say, just great, the food was delicious and the staff were very friendly

We were doing Christmas cones with the family and were looking for a large space. Haus Pieper is perfect for this, we were great at 23! People sit eating and bowling. Scrap gnomes weren't a problem either. We were very lucky with our waitress Edeltraud, who was always on point and always asked for new drinks (not a given these days!) The food was delicious, sauerbraten and wild boar goulash as a daily special, but everyone also liked the food from the menu! We were so happy to be served by you, always with a joke! We felt very comfortable with you! You rarely find people like you in the catering industry anymore! 👏🏻 We thank you for this beautiful day, dear Edeltraud. Happy families from all over Krefeld PS: we are already looking forward to next year.

At our celebration at Haus Pieper we were looked after by an excellent waitress whose quick and courteous service impressed us all. The food was delicious as always, there was nothing to complain about. An absolute recommendation for anyone looking for a location for social celebrations. We say thank you to the Haus Pieper team.

It was very tasty with the main course of chicken soup and the main course of schnitzel with fries and salad. Very cozy and nice there.

Rustic atmosphere with great food. Paintings and figures by Dick & Doof hang everywhere. The Wienerschnitzel is to die for, big, thin and great taste. I come here regularly and have never been disappointed. The owner and the staff are soooo sweet😍. Every wish/extra wish is fulfilled every time. The beer garden under the wine and ivy is a dream. I really like it here ❤️

An all around great evening! Food was great, drinks were always refilled very quickly Edeltraut gave us a super fun and entertaining evening! We laughed a lot! Went to Haus Pieper today and had a freshly roasted goose. Goose leg with thigh, delicious sauce with chestnuts, red cabbage and homemade dumplings.

I was at Pieper's for the first time. The food was very good and plentiful. The service was friendly and always kept an eye on us. We didn't have to wait long for food either. I will definitely visit Haus Pieper again.

We had dinner here today with 14 people. Since I wasn't involved in the decision-making process, I was initially disappointed because there were only very few vegetarian dishes on the menu (1. spinach dumplings and 2. vegetable plate, the 3rd dish under the "vegetarian" category contained salmon :-) But then I was quickly pleasantly surprised by the very attentive and friendly lady who served us. Everyone received their food very quickly and my “special requests” were fulfilled without any complaint. (I had put together my own meal from a starter and 2 side dishes) I heard words of praise from 2 people for the Rhenish Sauerbraten (the meat melts in your mouth), venison goulash and all the other dishes were also very well received. The restaurant is definitely worth a visit if you are looking for good, home-style cuisine. The waitress does a great job, one that suits her 100%. Thanks for the lovely lunch!

Wir waren heute mit 14 Leuten hier essen. Da ich bei der Entscheidungsfindung nicht eingebunden wurde, war ich zunächst enttäuscht, weil nur sehr wenige vegetarische Gerichte auf der Karte zu finden waren (1.Spinatknödel und 2. Gemüseteller, dass 3. Gericht unter der Rubrik "vegetarisch" enthielt Lachs :-) Dann war ich aber schnell positiv überrascht von der sehr aufmerksamen und freundlichen Dame, die uns bediente. Jeder erhielt recht schnell sein Essen und meine "Sonderwünsche" wurden ohne Murren auch erfüllt. (Ich hatte mir aus einer Vorspeise und 2 Beilagen ein eigenes Essen zusammengezimmert) Von 2 Leuten hörte ich Lobesworte für den Rheinischen Sauerbraten (das Fleisch zergeht auf der Zunge), Hirschgulasch und alle anderen Essen fanden ebenfalls großen Anklang. Das Restaurant ist auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert, wenn sehr gute "Gut bürgerliche Küche" gefragt ist. Die Bedienung macht einen super Job, einen, der ihr 100%ig liegt. Danke für den schönen Mittag!

We were there for the first time on Saturday, sat outside, what can I say, just great food, great service, awesome boss also came to the table, a super nice person, friendly, polite, funny, we'll definitely go there again, just great and photos will follow of the food

Very tasty snitzels eaten by super nice people

No longer what it used to be or fast food with a difference... We used to be regular guests and were there almost weekly. Then we were there about a year ago after it reopened and were simply disappointed. We had hoped that the last impression was just a bad coincidence and now tried again to revise our last impression - but it was more negative than positive. We had a table inside the restaurant and as soon as we sat down the menu was literally forced upon us. Luckily, we were able to quickly place our drink order before the waitress disappeared. As soon as we ordered food, the side salad was there. After the side salad, we were quickly served the main course, which unfortunately had quite a few weak points in terms of quality, as some of the meat was burnt and some of it was almost raw. At least you don't want an honest answer to the standard question of whether it was tasty. As we were clearing away we were asked whether we wanted dessert - after the sumptuous meal we wanted to let it sink in and not decide on dessert straight away - we also told the waitress this, who didn't show the slightest understanding. Everything had to happen quickly - they didn't want to wait for our later decision and we were quickly told that if we didn't order anything now, then the bill would be brought now. We were so amazed that we paid and then left the restaurant. We would have understood such behavior if there had been a lot going on - but there wasn't. So after almost an hour we were outside again. For us that was it - we would like to eat in peace. Apparently the waitress gets commission. We are very disappointed, but will now choose another local restaurant.

The food and the atmosphere in the beer garden were good. You can come back for that. However, the service was not convincing... you should order quickly, cards were thrown down more than put down, if you don't want dessert you get the bill straight away without asking and are asked to pay. It could be more hospitable...

The small beer garden is very nice, inside it is very rustic. The food was okay. The service worker Marianna is a catastrophe as a service worker and definitely needs to be trained. Menus were not handed over, they were literally thrown on the table. We were supposed to order drinks straight away, we said no, as we still had to choose our food. Ignorance followed, only the ordered food was thrown down and good... Even though my husband was still eating, my dishes were quickly removed from the table as I walked past, which I found very uncomfortable. The service staff kept running past ours Pass the table without paying attention to the guest and the empty glasses. I missed the hospitality: From :Good evening to: Everything is okay with the food, if you want something to drink, can I clear the plates and a smile....Afterwards When we ordered the bill, we were made to wait at least 20 minutes. After the third inquiry about the bill, Marianna said very cheekily and unfriendly: You have to go in because you pay by card. They could have told us straight away. My conclusion: You can no longer comfortably stay there and enjoy the food, we are looking for a new location.

Absolute disaster, the waitress is rude, stresses you out to order quickly and is unfriendly. I've been eating here regularly with my family for over 20 years. Everything used to be fine, but now it's finally too much. When the salad was supposed to be cleared away, my plate was simply left standing, not cleared, as it was the only plate out of 6. When the main course came, I immediately saw that my order was incorrect and pointed this out to the waitress. And then she put the plate down, got a small plate and told me to push what I didn't want off the plate. Absolute impudence on the one hand not to take me seriously and on the other hand not wanting to fix the problem. And that's called "service", this waitress is ridiculous. It continued with the fact that the fries were too salty, the meat was slightly burnt in some places, and as I said, I ordered the plate without rice, which, as I said, was on it. When the waitress cleared up, she asked how the food was. I replied that I thought the fries were too salty and that ignoring a complaint was not okay. I was repeatedly ignored and not asked again throughout the evening if I wanted anything else to drink. No clarification of the problem, no apology, nothing. And that even though, as mentioned, I was a regular there for years. If you don't want to lose more guests, you should change the service as quickly as possible. Had a bad experience. No recommendation.

Nico and his team, we have been (regular) customers for a long time and apart from the constant furnishings of the restaurant, we are satisfied, the restaurant is alive here too and you experience ups and downs, of course there is also a cook or a waitress as well as Nico himself good and bad days. Waren zum Weihnachtsessen dort. Das Ambiente ist ziemlich altbacken, aber das Lokal ist ordentlich gepflegt. Service ist flott mit reichlich Ruhrpott Charme, was ich persönlich aber schätze. Das Essen ist absolut okay, aber nichts besonderes. Portionen sind auch für gute Esser reichlich und dem Preis angemessen Extra hinfahren würde ich nicht, aber wenn man in der Gegend ist, macht man nichts falsch

Tisch wurde reserviert für 4 Personen auf Wunsch eines Bekannten, der schon einmal da war. Mich hat ein rustikales Ambiente erwartet, freundliche Bedienung und essen was gut war aber nicht besonders. Ich habe öfters besser gegessen als schlechter. Vielleicht lag es an meiner Auswahl ( Pljeskavica gefüllt mit Schafskäse). Kartenzahlung wird akzeptiert. Lokal war sehr gut besucht. Deswegen denke ich das es vielleicht einfach nicht mein Geschmack war.

Das Restaurant war vor über 25 Jahren von mir häufig besucht worden. Waren jetzt nach langer Zeit dort. Das Ambiente ist noch wie damals. Von den Speisen waren wir angenehm überrascht. Alles war lecker zubereitet und die Portionen waren groß. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Wir werden garantiert wieder kommen.

Ok wie fange ich an. Vor ein paar Wochen waren wir hier schon einmal. Da war das Essen "ok". Das bedienungstempo ist schon rekord verdächtig. Die Bedienung hat eine Art und Tempo drauf das einem schon ein wenig schwindelig wird. Da resultiert auch der Umgang mit den Kunden. Hektisch, leicht Patzig mit einem tollen Gesichtsausdruck. Nun dachten wir das es beim 2. Besuch evtl. anders wird. Kann ja mal passieren. Termin gemacht und auf zu einem schönen Leckeren Abend. Gerade hingesetzt kam die Kellnerin und wollte eine Getränke-bestellung aufnehmen. Haben die Getränke in ca. zwei Minuten für 3 Personen bekommen. Wow. Da wurden wir schon direkt mit der Karte beglückt. Dann nach ca. 3-4 Minuten kam Sie wieder und wollte direkt die Essenbestellung aufnehmen. Wir hatten dann gesagt das wir noch einen Augenblick brauchen. Sie sah schon gestresst aus. Danach das Essen bestellt, Salat kam nach paar Sekunden und das Hauptgericht war innerhalb von 15 Minuten da. Wahnsinn. Aber nicht toll. Gemütlich??? Ne !!! Das Essen so gut wie nicht gewürzt. Mein Essen würze ich nie nach. Aber das musste dann sein. Fleisch war teilweise roh. Nicht essbar. Bei allen 3 war das Fleisch komplett noch auf dem Teller. Teller waren wie gesagt noch nicht leer und Sie kam schon abräumen. Fragte uns ob alles ok war. Wir sagten dann: Nein. Sie fragte dann noch einmal ob alles ok ist. Nein es ist nichts ok. Kein Gewürztes Fleisch und roh. Habe ich Ihr gezeigt und Sie nahm die Teller mit. Danach wenn Sie an uns vorbei lief hatte Sie immer einen Blick drauf. Nicht normal. Sie hat das Essen nicht gemacht aber ist beleidigt und hat uns das auch super gezeigt. Toll. Entschuldigung, Rabatt oder eine Gutmachung kam nicht. Ah doch. Der geh nach Hause Schnaps war 3 mal so groß. Toll reagiert. Leider war das der zweite und letzte Besuch. Gesamte Eindruck war : Schnell den Kunden fertig machen. Umgang der Bedienung war hektisch und leicht patzig frech. Ambiente gewöhnungsbedürftig. Günstiger Abend 3 Personen 65 €. Da hatte man leider auch keine Lust zu bleiben. Geld weg geschmissen. Vielen Dank.

Waren im Rahmen einer Geburtstagsfeier dort. Das Essen war gut und lecker. Die Bedienung war freundlich. Die Preise waren soweit ich es sehen konnte ganz zivil.

Wieder zu einer Familienfeier hier zum Essen gewesen. Gut und lecker. Freundlicher Service. Die Auswahl an vegetarischen Gerichten ist sehr gering: Gemüseteller oder Bauernsalat, that's it! Fleischliebhaber kommen hier voll auf ihre Kosten.

Essen war super lecker, preisleistungsverhältnis war ok.Die Bedienung war sehr nett. Alles war sehr sauber. Immer wieder gerne.

zochten restaurants niet te ver van hotel en kwamen o.a. bij Haus Pieper terecht. Hoefden niet te reserveren en kregen leuke tafel In de tuin omgeven door bomen en trossen druiven. Zag er gewoon gezellig uit. Hebben trouwens ook heerlijk gegeten, was goed verzorgd, vriendelijke bediening. Soms kunnen wij in Nederland op dat gebied nog wat leren.

Das mit dem Service war aber nur an diesem vergangenen Sonntag so. Nicht gerade sehr freundlich und Kundenorientiert. Ansonsten in all den vergangenen Jahren noch nicht erlebt obwohl es oft schon im der Vergangenheit genauso voll war wie letzten Sonntag . Dafür war nach sehr langer Wartezeit auf Speisekarten sowie auf die Speisen das Essen einfach Super. Ein großes Lob an die Küche 👍

Wer wie wir diese Lokalität schon seit Jahren kennt, kennt auch das Ambiente und den Flair vor Corona. Dann kam die Corona-Zeit, verbunden mit dem Schicksalsschlag und der späteren Wiederneueröffnung. Nach all den Jahren waren auch wir nun wieder zu Gast und waren zumindest diesmal sehr enttäuscht. Das Essen war leider in keinster Weise vergleichbar mit früher. Die Qualität hat unserer Meinung nach sehr stark abgenommen, vor allem aber scheint man in der Küche ein Problem mit den Garstufen von Fleisch zu haben, so konnten wir beobachten, dass zwei Essen aufgrund nicht eingehaltener Garzeit zurück in die Küche gebracht werden musst, leider mussten auch wir kurze Zeit später die selbe Erfahrung machen, da ein Teil des Fleisch absolut roh war. Der Service war an diesem Abend dank der resoluten Dame gut und aufmerksam, allerdings wird der frühere Flair (vor Corona) nicht erreicht - nein, es ist einfach anders und nicht jeder mag es, wenn er ständig betatscht wird (auch wenn es freundlich gemeint ist) und es mag auch nicht jeder geduzt zu werden. Es ist diesbzgl. also eine Umstellung auf die man sich einlassen muss / sollte. Das Ambiente an sich ist unverändert. Wir hoffen, dass das Problem mit den Garstufen (bei Grillgerichten) nur eine Momentaufnahme war, wir werden nochmals wiederkommen und hoffen beim nächsten Mal eine bessere Bewertung abgeben zu können.

Urgemütlich und leckers Essen sorry eine Zeit lang stand hier ungemütlich, das war ein Rechtschreibfehler von mir!

Ich war vor einigen Jahren öfter dort und damals sowohl mit dem Essen als auch mit der Freundlichkeit des Personals sehr zufrieden. Letzten Samstag kehrte ich mit großen Erwartungen zurück und war sehr enttäuscht. In jeder Hinsicht kein Vergleich zu früher.

Das Essen ist 👍 auch der Service. Und es geht verhältnismäßig schnell.

Nach einer Fahrradtour wollten wir im Haus Pieper etwas essen. Wir setzten uns auf die Terrasse und warteten auf die Bedienung. Nach einer Weile kam der Chef, der wiederwillig unsere Getränkebestellung aufnahm und uns noch wiederwilliger die Speisekarte aushändigte. Danach ging er noch 3 Mal an uns vorbei, ohne uns eines Blickes zu würdigen. Nach unseren Wünschen fragte er nicht. Nach 30 Min. haben wir unsere Getränke im Lokal bezahlt und sind in den Nordbahnhof gefahren, wo wir sofort und nett bedient wurden. Gut gegessen haben wir dort auch. Das Haus Pieper hat uns zum letzten Mal gesehen. Man muss nicht eine Gastro aufsuchen, in der der Gast nicht willkommen ist!

Qualität über Jahre hinweg gleichbleibend gut. Auch wenn wir seit Jahren in der Eifel leben, gehen wir bei besuchen in Krefeld auch gerne hierhin. Auch wenn oft längere Zeit dazwischen liegt. Immer wieder gut.

Went there the three nights we were in Krefeld, found the staff very friendly and tried to speak English and were concerned we wouldn't be able to read the menu. The food was lovely, the schnitzels were very good value, the Argentinian Steak was tender and perfectly cooked and the mixed salad very tasty. Beer good and served very quickly, would certainly go back next time we are in Krefeld.

We kwamen omstreeks 21:30 op een zaterdagavond aan voor een diner in dit restaurant nadat we onderweg autopech hebben gehad en een Van der Valk in NL er niet meer in leek te zitten. De keuken was nog open. Vriendelijke bediening en een zeer uitgebreide kaart. De inrichting was erg gedateerd en geïnspireerd door Laurel en Hardy. De verlichting was veel te fel en het restaurant maakt een rommelige indruk. Voor de locale oudere gemeenschap voelde dit oude restaurant wellicht als thuis, wij kwamen alleen voor het eten. Het eten was goed, zeer smaakvol en de salade vooraf ook eenvoudig maar lekker. Het hoofdgerecht rundersteak en lamsmedallion met veel groente was ook lekker en goed. Ondanks de saaie verlichting aan het plafond met de felle en te goedkope moderne lichtbronnen ipv gloeilampen met de Tiffany lampjes op tafel, toch een dessert genomen. Daar doen ze bij Haus Pieper niet kinderachtig over. Een dame blance en een likeurbeker heeft hier vier bolletjes ijs met een smaakvolle eierlikeur en op verzoek een toefje slagroom! De huiswijnen zijn niet bijzonder en de bediening heeft daar ook niet zo veel kennis van. Bij het vragen naar de schappelijke rekening kwam er nog een likeurtje van het huis. Om 23.00 weer verder naar huis met een goede en betaalbare maaltijd (ca €31,- per couvert incl dranjes hoofdgerecht en dessert)

Ein Lokal im Krefeld, mehr Kneipe als Restaurant. Wir kommen immer wieder da, weil das Essen sehr günstig ist und das Essen auch schmeckt, das Lokal ist richtig gut besucht oder ausgebucht. Nachteil keine Webseite. Einen Tisch zu bekommen immer unter Reservierung. Ambiente verbesserungswürdig. Service ist auch nicht optimal. Sonst lohnt sich zu kommen.

Von unserem Hotel wärmstens empfohlen und bei TA nicht super hoch, aber ganz gut im Kurs. Sind dann dahin und haben Steak in Pfeffersoße mit Pommes und den Lachs bestellt. Dazu ein bis zwei Weizen mit Krombacher (was leider das einzige Pils ist) Abend war ok, Bedienung und Service waren top. Ambiente erinnert aber etwas an einen alte Kneipe.

The restaurant has the atmosphere of a German village pub, the furnishings are a bit old, but have a certain charm. The friendliness of the staff and the efficiency with which one is served are positive. The menu is quite extensive and mainly offers meals from the Balkans. The restaurant obviously has no website, so you can't see the menu before visiting the restaurant. There is no WLAN that is publicly accessible. Parking on the premises is rather limited. In summer you can also sit outside. The quality of the food is average. The ordered lamb was tender and well roasted, but the sauce was too thin and had clear traces of the blood leaking from the lamb. The baked potato was presented in an aluminum foil, which is really unusual today. The mixed salad served with the meal was tasty and fresh, the dressing was delicious. As a friendly gesture they served a free digestive.

Dieses "jugoslawische" Restaurant bietet die üblichen bekannten Speisen in ausgezeichneter Qualität. Die Servicekraft hatte trotz voller Besetzung alles im Griff. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Frische Qualität macht einfach Spass immer wieder gerne wenn alle so gutes Essen hätten und sich um Ihre Gäste kümmern würden wäre das toll

Gutes Essen~ das Verhalten gegenüber - insbesondere letzten Gästen - hält dem nicht Schritt. Kurzum: eine Zumutung und weiteren Gästen im Hinblick auf Abende zum Verweilen nicht zu empfehlen.

This was a recommendation from our B&B hosts and was a home run. Great biergarten outside and good rib sticking German food. English is tough here, but they do have one English menu which makes it much easier. Came here three nights in a row. Great food, great prices.
