Haus Martfeld in Schwelm

Wir waren heute, zum ersten Mal hier. Unser spontaner Entschluss hier her zu kommen wurde absolut belohnt. Alle 4 Essen die wir, inkl. Vorspeisen und Desserts bestellt haben, waren hervorragend von Qualität und Geschmack. Das Preis Leistungsverhältnis hat ebenfalls absolut überzeugt. Wir kommen sehr gerne und ganz bestimmt wieder. Der Service hat den ganzen Abend abgerundet, wir haben uns willkommen, gut beraten und sehr gut umsorgt gefühlt. Für uns das beste Lokal und Essen in Schwelm. Vielen Dank!

Sehr gutes Lokal. Essen klasse, Personal freundlich und Preise angemessen.

Waren zu einer Feier da mit einer größeren Gesellschaft. Die Planung vorab war super und es wurde auf alle meine Wünsche eingegangen! Location total toll- mitten im Park! Spielplatz vor der Tür, so dass die Kids sich zwischendurch auch austoben können! Essen war top! Richtig frisch, richtig lecker, große Portionen- selbst bei den Kindern! Service war super! Keiner ist verhungert oder verdurstet 😉 Wir kommen gerne wieder und empfehlen hiermit weiter!

Essen war früher besser für den Preis, Bedienung leider super langsam und ineffizient. Ansonsten völlig okay.

Wir waren das erste Mal im Haus Martfeld essen. Die Auswahl ist groß und die Qualität der Speisen gut, allerdings war die Vorspeise schon riesig und zwischen Vorspeise und Hauptgang verging viel Zeit, sodass wir beim Eintreffen des Hauptgangs schon satt waren, obwohl wir die Hälfte der Vorspeisen hatten zurück gehen lassen, daher ein bisschen Punktabzug. Das Servicepersonal war freundlich und nur die Tatsache, dass es keine Klimaanlage gibt, führt zum Abzug beim Ambiente. Wir waren bei 30 Grad dort und es war furchtbar warm, auch weil in der Ecke wo wir saßen kein Lüftchen ging. Trotz allem: Lecker und empfehlenswert. :)

Leckeres Essen, gute Portionen, kann ich empfehlen

Sehr große Portionen zu einem fairen Preis. Der Inhaber sowie auch die Bedienungen geben sich größte Mühe. Ein No-Brainer wenn man in Schwelm ein gutes Restaurant oder Mittagessen sucht. Ich würde trotzdem empfehlen zu reservieren. Parkplätze sind oft voll am Schloss aber in der Umgebung meist kein Problem. Hunde willkommen. Kartenzahlung möglich.

Wir waren heute im Schloss Martfeld essen und hatten uns sehr auf den Besuch gefreut, da wir einen Gutschein geschenkt bekommen hatten. Vorab das Positive: Die Bedienung war durchweg sehr freundlich und aufmerksam, und das Essen war wirklich hervorragend, geschmacklich absolut überzeugend. Leider wurde der Abend am Ende komplett überschattet. Wir hatten den Gutschein bereits vor der Bestellung vorgelegt und die Rückmeldung bekommen, dass alles in Ordnung sei. Beim Bezahlen hieß es dann plötzlich, der Gutschein sei ohne Original-Quittung ungültig. Da wir den Gutschein geschenkt bekommen haben, konnten wir diese natürlich nicht vorlegen. Die Situation wurde dann leider unnötig unangenehm: Statt einer ruhigen Klärung hatten wir den Eindruck, dass uns wenig Verständnis entgegengebracht wurde, und uns wurde sogar mitgeteilt, dass wir künftig nicht mehr willkommen seien. Das hat uns sehr überrascht und enttäuscht. Besonders unverständlich ist für uns auch die Begründung: Rechtlich gilt ein Gutschein als sogenanntes „kleines Inhaberpapier“ (§ 807 BGB). Das bedeutet, dass der Gutschein selbst als Nachweis für den Anspruch ausreicht, eine zusätzliche Original-Quittung ist grundsätzlich nicht erforderlich. Am Ende wurde der Gutscheinbetrag zwar doch verrechnet, gleichzeitig wurden wir seitens des Inhabers mit einem "Nimmerwiedersehen" verabschiedet. Den Mitarbeiter*innen war das sehr unangenehm und sagten uns, dass wir es nicht persönlich nehmen sollten: Der Chef hätte es nicht böse gemeint. Wir sind mit einem unangenehmen Gefühl gegangen. Sehr schade, denn Küche und Service waren top! Letztendlich bleibt jedoch vor allem dieses schlechte Erlebnis in Erinnerung.

Wir hatten vor ein paar Jahren hier einmal einen ziemlichen Service Reinfall. Wir haben hier später nochmal eine Chance gegeben und kommen nun seit Jahren regelmäßig wieder. Das Essen ist lecker und das Ambiente super.

Wir haben unsere Kommunion dort gefeiert und waren rundum begeistert. Von Anfang bis Ende lief alles reibungslos – die Zusammenarbeit war hervorragend. Auf all unsere Wünsche wurde eingegangen und sie wurden perfekt umgesetzt. Das Essen war ausgezeichnet und der Service erstklassig. Wir können es uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen.

Wir durften im Haus Martfeld die Taufe unseres Sohnes feiern , und was sollen wir sagen ' positives Feedback von den Gästen, essen eine 10 von 10. Alle wünsche wurden uns erfüllt und wir sind mehr als Dankbar ! Team großartig! Empfehlung ? Klares JA! Wir kommen wieder, danke für alles :)

Wunderbares Restaurant mit sehr schönem Ambiente, gemütlichem Wintergarten und wirklich leckeren Essen! Wir hatten drei Gänge und waren sehr zufrieden. Der Service ist außerordentlich freundlich und gut. Preise sind fair. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder und freuen uns, das Restaurant ausprobiert zu haben.

Wie immer sehr reichliche Portionen. Salat mit Garnelen sehr gut zubereitet.

Das Essen kam schnell und der Service war zunächst freundlich. Wir waren mit 12 Frauen vorab reserviert, mussten den Tisch aber nach 2,5 Stunden sehr bestimmt für die nächste Belegung räumen. Dass ein Tisch bei so einer großen Gruppe ohne Vorwarnung doppelt belegt wird, hat uns sehr geärgert. Ein klärendes Gespräch mit dem Chef brachte leider keine Einsicht. Schade, das trübt den eigentlich guten Eindruck.“

Einfach nur WOW!! Ein tolles Restaurant, Essen klasse, Personal sehr zuvorkommend und herzlich….sehr schönes Ambiente. Immer wieder gerne! Der Gast wird wie ein/e König/in behandelt. Endlich mal ein Restaurant wie man es sich wünscht!

Wir waren erstmalig in diesem Restaurant. Es passte alles: sehr nette Bedienung, das Essen wurde schon nach relativ kurzer Wartezeit gebracht, es war sehr wohlschmeckend und preiswert. Und die Größe der Portion war so, das wohl auch ein hungriger Schwerstarbeiter nicht alles hätte verzehren können. Alles in allem waren wir begeistert und wissen, wo wir bei unserem nächsten Besuch in Schwelm wieder essen gehen werden!!

Ein sehr schönes Restaurant. Das Essen war hervorragend und der Service sehr gut. Alle Mitarbeiter sind sehr freundlich und auch sehr aufmerksam. Eine Reservierung ist zu empfehlen. Waren zum zweiten Mal dort essen. Sind begeistert vom Ambiente und vom Essen. Das Personal sehr freundlich und aufmerksam, selbst an Weihnachten wo viel mehr zu tun war. Das Essen super zubereitet. Es hat allen geschmeckt und werden sicher ein drittes Mal hinfahren. Wir können das Restaurant nur empfehlen.

Die Gänsebrust mit Rotkohl, Klößen und Marzipanbratapfel war sehr lecker. Aufmerksames und freundliches Personal und stimmiges Ambiente. Wir haben uns wohl gefühlt und können das Restaurant weiterempfehlen.

Beautiful outdoor area and spacious park

Went there for the first time today because I/we were in the area. Appetizer: Baguette with aioli and sour cream. Main course: Mushroom cream schnitzel with croquettes and Wiener schnitzel with fries. Also, two mixed salads. One large Coke, one Sprite, and two cappuccinos. Total cost: €67! The food was absolutely delicious and more than enough! Excellent value for money! The atmosphere and service were also top-notch. I'll definitely be back when I'm in the area!

Great food, perfect service, waiters were always there but you didn't notice them. The ambiance was very nice.

Delicious food in a lovely setting, which is spoiled by a 99% unanswered phone line, making it impossible to make a reservation. I repeatedly failed to reach anyone by phone during opening hours for over a week, only to be unable to get a table on the day itself.

Last night I visited this restaurant for the first time, with a pleasant atmosphere, excellent food and friendly staff. It is a nice gesture of the owner to treat the guests to Juliška at the end. I especially single out the nice and very approachable waiter Ida.

I'd heard and read a lot of good things about it. We wanted to take a walk around the beautiful building before dinner, and unfortunately, I have to say that after seeing the outside of the kitchen, I had no desire to enter the shop, let alone eat there. For me, at least from the outside, it's an eyesore in an otherwise very beautiful setting!

We felt completely at home. Great location. Very good food and a very friendly team. We would love to come back.

NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!! HORRIBLE We celebrated a milestone birthday there. We had made a reservation weeks in advance. At 9:50 p.m., the waitress came and told us she was taking one last order, we could finish our drinks in peace, and then we had to leave. There was an event outside, and they were having an "after-show party" inside. It was so loud that you couldn't have a conversation. Then you're standing on the street with your guests. How embarrassing for us...

As a wedding photographer, I've had the privilege of accompanying several emotional weddings at this venue. The combination of a bright ceremony room and the expansive park provides ideal conditions for authentic group and couple photos. A particularly practical feature is that the photo shoot can take place directly on site, without any time pressure and with plenty of space for real moments. A small splash of color on the exterior facade would further complete the overall picture.

We were satisfied with the meal. However, when we wanted to order dessert, we weren't told whether the kitchen was still open. Paying at the table wasn't possible – we had to go to the cashier at the front. There, we were told that only cash payments were accepted. Normally, guests are informed of this upon entry – but we weren't told anything about it.

We were there on a Friday evening. The staff were very friendly, but it didn't work at all. We waited forever for drinks and food. When the food finally arrived, we didn't have any cutlery 🙄. We had to keep asking for everything...! Luckily, the food tasted pretty good. You could say... that's the main thing... but the whole thing (at least that evening) was a disaster, to be honest. We might try it again, and if it goes to our satisfaction, we'll be happy to give it a positive review.

Thanks for the large (A5) notice that card payments are not accepted, which was also hidden. And then to say it's posted "everywhere"! Honestly, something like that is said at every table; it's part of good service.

We had reserved for 15 people for a 40th class reunion. A spontaneous expansion for two additional guests during the meal was handled quickly and without any problems, and our request to move to the outdoor area afterward was also no problem. The food arrived very quickly, so everyone could eat together. The staff was friendly and prompt throughout the evening. It made you feel at ease. The way they signaled closing time was also very pleasant. They called for one last round, asked you to pay, and offered to stay on the terrace afterward. In many other restaurants in Schwelm, you're ushered out.

The food and the attentiveness of the service staff were impeccable, but the restrooms... eww...

A very beautiful restaurant located in an old castle in the park. The quality of the food is very good, and you can also sit comfortably on the terrace. A beach bar (Malou) has recently opened next door, making the location even more attractive.

We had a communion celebration at Restaurant Martfeld and were very pleased. The ambience was very pleasant and inviting, the staff was friendly and attentive, and our guests enjoyed the food immensely. I would especially like to praise the service team – the guests were very satisfied, and the team did a fantastic job. Everything was lovingly prepared, and the atmosphere made the celebration something special. A special thank you to the restaurant owner for arranging our celebration despite the short notice. Three of us were here yesterday. We ordered a grilled platter and a steak. The steak was a dream, cooked to perfection and incredibly tender. The grilled platters were also excellent; despite the different types of meat, everything was grilled to perfection. The great atmosphere and super friendly staff have made this our favorite restaurant! See you soon!

I had a spontaneous meal there today with my family, my wife and our children. We were very, very positively impressed. We traveled from Düsseldorf and met up with our Schwelm family there. The service was extremely friendly and helpful. Actually everything was reserved. However, we still got a place. The food was excellent and the price-performance level was very good! We would be willing to come back next time just for the food. That's why 5 stars + Thank you for a wonderful and completely successful day 🙏

Haus Martfeld is a nice meeting place like this exhibition of the artists' guild and for celebrations. With a beautiful outdoor area The exhibition is open until June 3rd.

Absolutely worth visiting, especially with children.

The steak we ordered was cooked to perfection and very tasty. The fries get a grade of two, there could be a little bit more and the side salad, I devoured it... absolutely attentive, friendly and not intrusive staff. Great team. The rooms are nicely divided so that many tables don't come too close to each other.

Always worth a visit. This also applies to the museum and the associated SchlossPark.

The restaurant is an A* in terms of ambience and location, the food was okay. Schnitzel was so flattened that you could only taste parinade instead of meat. I found 5 mini crabs in pureed tomatoes to be really overpriced for €13.90.

It's quaint here. Housed in an old moated castle. Service is nice and friendly. The food is delicious 😋 and came quickly after ordering. We wanted to eat schnitzel and were not disappointed. Unfortunately, card payment was not possible, but we were informed of this beforehand! We'll definitely come back

We were there a few days ago with several people We can't complain about the ambience and the service, but we can complain about the taste and the preparation of the food: The meat lacked seasoning and fresh ingredients instead its frozen vegetables, ready-made sauces and, as a starter, a salad with what feels like a slice of tomato and a slice of cucumber. I don't know if there are many positive reviews here really on the current operators and kitchen of Haus Martfeld relate. In any case, the price-performance ratio is no longer right here.

We ate here last Sunday, it was super tasty, the service was very friendly and accommodating, we had a nice, quiet corner table and sat at the table until almost 4 p.m. and were able to chat after dinner. It was a lovely visit and we'll be back soon!

We had our Christmas party there. The food was very tasty, good portion, the service was extremely good. There was always someone from the friendly, cheerful staff nearby. It was just bad luck that the toilet downstairs was broken at the time and we had to walk a long way. And there was a lack of parking space because of the Christmas market. I personally found the arrangement of the tables disadvantageous. Otherwise, highly recommended. PRICE PERFORMANCE: VERY GOOD👍
