Die Turnhalle in Schwelm

Last Saturday evening we had dinner with 4 people. Thank God we had reserved in advance. It was very crowded. Tip top service, very tasty food and great ambience. We always enjoy coming here when we are nearby. I can recommend fish & chips. Simply class. But actually everything is excellent.

For a special get-together with friends, we reserved the “Chefs Table” in the stylish “Turnhalle” restaurant. After the aperitif in the cozy lounge area, the starter was served. Grilled and pickled zucchini, mushrooms, peppers etc., various types of ham and salami were visually beautifully presented and a culinary delight, plus there was incredibly delicious bread with various dips. The wonderful cream soup of yellow beets with fried scampi and crackers was another highlight. And the tender mouse poulard breast and the perfectly fried pike perch fillet also offered further moments of enjoyment. Créme Brûlée refined with tonka beans and vanilla ice cream concluded the meal. We felt very well looked after by the friendly service team. The range of drinks also left nothing to be desired; we particularly liked the Bianco di Custoza white wine. A big compliment to the chef Ulrich Glittenberg and the two operators Kurt Hermandung and Marc Konopatzki. Many thanks to the entire team for a wonderful evening! P.S. The rooms in the school building and the breakfast are also just great!!!! We'd love to come back :-)

Gym without gymnastics, not bad, sport for the palate, everything that is good for you can be trained here. Great service, with calm and overview, great cuisine with taste and an excellent plate appearance. We found it really tasty and beautiful, thank you very much, Greetings Achim

It's a shame, the food is "mass-produced" and the service is "time-bound". I think with more effort and more effort it could be a gold mine, unfortunately only midfield!

A great restaurant with top products. The service is helpful and can give great wine recommendations. The cuisine is regionally German but interpreted in a modern way. Everything at fair prices.

We had a very nice New Year's Eve including an overnight stay. The New Year's Eve menu was excellent, all dishes were prepared to perfection and tasted very well. The superior room we booked was also simply but modernly furnished and fully suited our taste. All in all, a very successful evening that we will certainly repeat again. Many thanks to the boss, Mr. Konopatzki, who took great care of our well-being and made the evening perfect. We would also like to thank the chef Mr. Glittenberg and his team, who made this evening a perfect culinary experience. Thank you very much, we'll be back! We can highly recommend the hotel “Das Schulhaus” and the restaurant “Die Turnhalle”!

We went to the gym today for the Christmas menu and it was amazing. Both the food and the service were perfect. We can highly recommend the Schwelm gym and will always be happy to come back.

Our Christmas party took place in the gym and everyone was thrilled!! Great service, very tasty food, and a very cozy atmosphere. We and our employees had a really nice evening in the gym and would like to say thank you to the whole team!!

Great service and delicious food

Unfortunately, the side salad was forgotten in one dish. It was on the menu, but the waitress saw it differently. Dessert had to be requested later. Dishes are a matter of taste. Would neither recommend nor advise against the restaurant.

Food ok, nothing major to complain about. Telephone availability is a complete disaster. Totally ok for Schwelm.

As I did in November with our employees, and now on the occasion of my birthday, I can only praise the kitchen and service. There was something for everyone and the food came to everyone at the same time, which is not always a given! Special requests from younger guests were also taken into account. There were five of us in the gym on Christmas Day. We weren't lucky at first and there weren't any tables available, but we got a call when something became available. So we were able to spend the second holiday there relaxing. The menu was great. Something for every taste. You could choose the main course and we had three different main courses on the table. Everyone was very happy and it tasted very good. The service was good and the atmosphere was also very good. It was fully booked, but it wasn't crowded. We'll definitely be back.

Wir haben am Wochenende mit sechs Personen am Wildbuffet teilgenommen. Es war ein Fest für den Gaumen, in nettem Ambiente. Die Auswahl an Wild war wunderbar zusammengestellt, für jeden etwas dabei. Ob Gans oder Wildschwein, mit oder ohne Sauce, tolle Beilagen. Einfach ein wunderbarer Abend. Wir freuen uns auf das nächste Mal.

Alles im Einklang. Ich brauche jetzt nicht mehr zu überlegen wo ich hin gehe wenn ich mal richtig gut und in einer tollen Atmosphäre essen gehen möchte. Danke an alle die dazu beitragen 🍀

Wir waren zum Abendessen im Schulhaus und haben auf der Terrasse gesessen. Gegessen haben wir das Wiener Schnitzel und aus dem Tagesangebot das Entrecote. Beide Gerichte waren hervorragend zubereitet. Vorab gab es einen Gruß aus der Küche, auch sehr fein. Die Getränke waren optimal temperiert und der Service ausgesprochen freundlich. Wir werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen.

Reservierung hat gut geklappt, ein sehr freundlicher Empfang und Service. Das Essen hat den Geschmack gut getroffen und wir werden nicht das letzte Mal dort sein. Die relativ überschaubare Karte bietet genug Abwechslung. Wir sind zwar keine Weintrinker aber die Karte sah sehr gut aus und im Sommer lässt es sich auf der Terrasse bestimmt sehr gut aushalten:)

Tolle Location, nettes Personal. Leider lief der ganze Abend nicht rund. Beilagensalat wurde vergessen. Ein Dessert kam nach langer Wartezeit, das zweite erst nach 2 maliger Nachfrage. Insgesamt fanden wir das Essen in Ordnung, aber den Preis nicht wert.

Sehr schönes Restaurant, modern, geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Sehr viel Platz und dennoch nicht ungemütlich. Das Essen war dem besonderen Ambiente angemessen und wirklich richtig gut. Abgerundet wurde das Bild von sehr freundlichem zuvorkommendem Personal. Verdiente 5 Sterne!

Essen teuer und Gewürz arm Aber gar? 1/2 Stunde auf 2 Burger gewartet obwohl der Laden leer war. Dafür nur halbe Karte weil ein Koch krank ist.

Gute Adresse auch für größere Feiern.

Nettes Ambiente, netter Empfang, allerdings saß man trotz eines nur mäßig gefüllten Gastraumes sehr eng aufeinander und hatte so keine Privatsphäre. Das Essen war okay, aber gemessen am Preis wäre erheblich mehr zu erwarten gewesen.

Essen sehr gut, das Service und Personal sehr gut. Freundlich aufmerksam. Komme gerne wieder.

Die Küche ist soweit gut. Die Portionen üppig sodass man nicht hungrig bleibt, der Geschmack ist fantastisch und die Qualität 1A. Für mich persönlich waren die Gewürze je nach Gericht nicht meins. Der Service ist toll und freundlich. Wir waren unter der Woche da sodass ggf. Eine servicekraft zu wenig da war. Die Wartezeit war etwas länger. Modernes Ambiente hat mir sehr gefallen.

Ein wundervolles Menü. Alles superfrisch und sehr lecker. Die Preise sind vollkommen angemessen. Service sehr freundlich und kompetent. Das besondere: man hat viel mehr Raum als in anderen Restaurants, was ich als sehr angenehm empfand.

Workshop, wenige Parkplätze, nicht barrierefrei, sonst alles gut bis auf lauten Kühlschrank im Veranstaltungsraum

Sehr nettes Personal, kleine Karte, für meinen Geschmack perfekt getroffen. Sehr nettes Ambiente, trotz voller Tische eine sehr gute Akkustik.

Leider war es bei unserem Besuch recht laut.

Tolle Ambiente, nettes Personal und gutes Essen.

Haben spontan ein ein Tisch reserviert, man wurde sehr freundlich empfangen.Es wurde schnell und Englisch und auf Deutsch bedient, das bestelle Essen kam gleichzeitig und es war alles zu unserer Zufriedenheit. Preislich gesehen kann man mit Getränke ca 40€ einplanen, richtig gut hier finde ich, das wenn man zuende gegessen hat, sich in ein kleines Wohnzimmer setzten kann, wo man sich anschließend etwas trinken kann.(natürlich Wenn es der Platz bietet).

Sehr modernes Lokal.Das Essen war hervorragend. Alles hat gepasst. Personal sehr aufmerksam.
