Visited the Doner House in Mayen on Saturday evening in the hope of a good doner. We didn't get what we wanted and the service was very bad, disrespectful and unfriendly. No recommendation.

The boys and girls enjoy their job and their product. Tastes better than Poldis.

Everything was great, I have never eaten anything so thinner, I can only recommend it 🙏🏼

Tried the kebab today, first I have to say that the young man behind the counter was very friendly. Asked me directly what kind of countryman I was and immediately described myself as an Albanian. I responded: Do I have to show ID? (It was also discussed that everyone has to be proud of their own nationality). Since when do you have to show ID when buying a kebab from an Arabic-looking seller?

I was told that I should first know what I wanted before I entered the store. Very unfriendly service. Doner kebab without tomatoes and with little meat. What was there tasted good but not for 8 euros. There were no more tomatoes either.

Not again Pom doner box fries are weak, veal doner is well cooked.

I couldn't see any menu. 2 people tried hard on Friday lunchtime but had difficulty managing the operation, the queue of people waiting became very long. It's a shame that there is no yogurt-based sauce instead of mayonnaise or salad cream. Big roll, lots of delicious meat, lots of vegetables.

The sanitary facilities are absolutely run down and dirty. There were only 2 pieces of meat in the bread and the rest was air. Staff was asked about it, but they dismissed it as standard. That's probably it in Mayen, but there's no such audacity anywhere else in this chain

Are you forced to give a negative review here? If you don't understand the truth, the last rip-off shop only has salad in it when you eat out and that's a fact. There are worse kebabs, but there are also better ones. In terms of price, I find them a bit too expensive. There are better coleslaws. If I go again then only meat with sauce and onions.

The week before last when I was renovating my new apartment, my mother brother and I felt like eating kebabs. And I found a new restaurant here where I now have my kebab 😋🤩 I've rarely had such a delicious kebab plate before

All I can say is super awesome, it was my first time there and I haven't eaten such a delicious kebab in a long time. The service was super friendly, the atmosphere was nice. We'll definitely come back because we'd rather drive a few more kilometers for good food. Stay as you are :)

It used to be delicious. Now completely different. Hardly any meat in it. You basically come for the meat, but all you get is a dollop of meat with a pile of salad. Tastes accordingly. Owner behaves disrespectfully towards customers and tends to be arrogant. Bizarre behavior in general, especially from the owner. I'll never eat here again. Then go to Weißenthurm.

Was there today and received very friendly and humorous service. The food was very tasty. Prices were unfortunately a bit high but for such a great kebab it was worth it.

The Haus des Döner is highly recommended if, for example, you have just come back from a train ride or are generally up there in the area. It is not very cheap as the Döner costs €8 but it is the tastiest Döner in Mayen, very delicious, the staff is nice and child-friendly and speaks perfect standard German, so there won't be any problems with understanding. Unfortunately the quality has deteriorated significantly. Cleanliness: 0. Employees use the same gloves that they use to handle other objects and cut the bread. Employees: Very unfriendly and completely demotivated. We recently arrived around 10pm. The employee was standing outside the store, smoking and watching videos on his cell phone. He swore in his own language and didn't even greet us. He just seemed annoyed. The ventilation system is so dirty that hardly any air is extracted. After just a short stay you can smell fat and burnt meat. Prices have been increased. You get more salad than meat. We no longer visit the branch. We'd rather go to Koblenz where there are even better alternatives.

The rating is made after four visits to this snack bar. I'll start in a structured way so that you can all understand what our experiences were like. 1. **Hygiene**: There is definitely room for improvement here. The floor and counter were very dirty. One wonders whether there is still a health department in Germany. The employee wore black gloves, which is generally a good thing. However, he pushed into the trash with his gloves, pulled off the bag, brought it to the back and then continued straight away with preparing the kebabs. This is absolutely unacceptable. 2. **Staff**: The staff was very rude. Trying to be wildly funny only led to stupid questions. What do we learn from this? Education is the be-all and end-all. 3. **Customer Experience**: During the last visit, a customer in front of me asked how the sauces tasted. The employee offered a sample, which initially seemed positive. However, he used the same small plastic spoon for several sauces. After the first customer tasted the sauce and returned the spoon, that spoon was dipped into the next sauce! Behind me, two shocked people were already leaving the store. Of course, I then pretended I had forgotten my wallet and left too. 4. **Quality of the food**: The kebab no longer tastes like it did when it reopened. The portions are smaller, the preparation has deteriorated and even the friendliness is no longer there. It's sad how the store has developed. 5. **French fries**: The fries were dry and tasted like they had been sitting around for 3-4 hours. Hopefully the health department, maybe even the tax office, will take action.

Are very disappointed. On the one hand, the portions (doner, dürum) were much too small. I was able to grasp the roll once with my thumb and middle finger, for €9. Happy! The service was subpar, the employee didn't feel like it, threw the roll and the bread around, and the flatbread only sniffed the sauce. Ingredients in the kebab are incredibly poorly distributed. Lahmacun does not exist. And there is nothing else on the menu that is reminiscent of HDG and does justice to the name House of Döner. The meat was tasty, although almost cold. We drove home hungry and threw a pizza in the oven. Absolutely loveless everything. Not just the kebab, also the ambience. You can't really afford it with the competition nearby.

If there is a lot of traffic, that's one thing, but if I'm the only customer in the store, you can do it differently. The sauce is carelessly slapped onto the bun so that you don't even get any of the sauce everywhere. The main thing is quick and efficient. The employees wear gloves. But if you go out to smoke and then stand right back behind the counter and carry on and then take cash in your hand, you can just leave it alone. The ambience is so "well"... Lots of worn furniture because it was simply taken over from Subway. Even behind the counter, it doesn't always look as if cleanliness and hygiene are important. The prices are okay, but nothing more. I can get bigger kebabs for less money elsewhere. However, I'm not fighting over a euro.

When we were cashing out, they tried to cheat us out of €10.00 in change. I said we'll make salad dressing later and I don't want salad dressing, I want garlic sauce and then he barks at me asking if I could speak German. So I keep my mouth shut. It's an impertinence to poop at someone so stupidly from the side. Salad dressing means something different. Finally we order a kebab and not a salad. That's the last time I was there. I got my kebab and left. Anticipation for the meal was ruined. The kebabs weren't as good as last year and the year before last either. They've recently started putting strange berries on the greens and the aroma of the berries doesn't taste good and is really annoying. My husband also thought his kebab had a slightly sour taste. The evening before, shortly before work, we ordered a kebab with veal and sheep's cheese to take away. The berries were already gone and my kebab was absolutely delicious. My husband thought his kebab was sour. The service that evening was friendly and would have even stayed open a little longer so that we could eat here if we had wanted. Strangely, the same order the night before was €1 cheaper than the day after. Either they forgot to charge for the sheep's cheese or we were taken for a ride.

Super friendly service. Very nicely designed based on the “House of Money” series. The kebabs were very tasty with a top garlic sauce. The non-crusty bread was tasty, but I didn't think it went well with the juicy kebab. The meat was also very good. Unfortunately the fries weren't tasty at all. They were very fluffy and should have stayed in the fryer for a while. The fries were also very lightly salted, so I asked for the salt and added more salt myself. There was only a small tube of mayonnaise.

When we came home from work feeling very hungry, my 2 friends and I went to the store, 6 rolled ones were ordered, and the 2 young men quickly got to work. Doner kebab is always topped according to your own taste and the price is completely reasonable. The opening times (especially on weekends) are great, especially for those who are out and about a lot in the evenings, there are regular meals there.

We are regular customers and have never had any problems, even great opening times. Prices are all good too. Parking immediately behind and never long waiting times.

We ate here for the first and last time. Friendliness is not particularly important. In addition, the wrong meat was put into my Dürüm, even though I specifically said only chicken please. I don't even want to start with the cleanliness, I found the tables very dirty, you didn't know where to sit down and the floor wasn't exactly clean either. We ordered 1 Big Döner and 2 Dürüms, the chicken in both Dürüms was cold. So here, no thanks. I'd rather look for something better.

I have ordered and eaten there several times. As a rule it was good but the last experience ruined it all. I ordered 2 kebab plates to take away for my wife and I and we were looking forward to it. Unfortunately, disillusionment set in at home; it was anything but edible. The meat was so burnt that it tasted more like charcoal than meat. I was shocked that you could give something like that out to your guests.

The "Haus des Döners" is actually always very tasty BUT the branch in Mayen is unfortunately not particularly clean. Our visit on March 14, 2024 was our last in this branch. Dust, dirty tables, dirty floor.
