Haus des Döners in Düsseldorf

This review referred to the predecessor 'Balli Döner'. The kebab is very tasty, although more expensive than elsewhere. The employees are not very friendly and rather annoyed. The absolute no-go, however, was that the boss smoked upstairs. It wouldn't work if the shop was closed, but it was open, we ordered food downstairs and he smoked upstairs. Sorry, totally disgusting. EDIT: 1. Completely unprofessional comment. It's great how you deal with criticism. 2. It definitely wasn't an e-cigarette. We're not blind, or since when do you have to knock the ash off an e-cigarette?

The food was great, portions are big and the fries are delicious, the döner is also really delicious.

Disappointing experience despite good reviews I was really looking forward to trying a kebab here because of the many positive reviews, but unfortunately I was disappointed. The overall concept of the kebab wasn't right for me. Unfortunately, the tzatziki sauce didn't taste like tzatziki at all, which significantly affected the taste experience. The meat was far too fatty and not crispy, as you would expect from a good kebab. In addition, the kebab seemed carelessly put together and the ingredients didn't feel fresh. Overall, the dish was also way too salty. It's a shame because I had much higher expectations based on the reviews. Maybe I was just unlucky that day, but unfortunately my visit was not satisfactory.

i come from the netherlands and we have pretty decent doner here but when i experienced the doners here i was more than happy with the taste

So the gentleman who took the order was anything but nice. So as a customer you feel uncomfortable right from the start. The meat, whether chicken or veal, was cold and didn't taste convincing either. The garlic sauce also tasted like it was 1 week old. You got a stomach ache while eating and you realized that if you continued eating you would just end up sitting on the toilet afterwards. Unfortunately, it's a shame because it had such good reviews and people had better expectations.

Fair Turkish/German döner with decent sauce options. The restroom is a bit too small and there’s only 1 toilet in the men’s room.

There are a lot of similar establishments around the city, but this one is really great. Tasty, fast, clean, comfortable.

Wow! This has been the best kebab I've had in a really long time. The sauce was so delicious and it had the perfect amount of meat and salad. The service was great and the place is nicely decorated. The waiting time was 5 minutes. Totally worth the price!

Worst kebab ever, I will not be back. I got food poisoning from the kebab and was sick for 3 days after. Do not eat from here, they have no health or safety standards and do not wash their hands. One pair of gloves used for everything.... Never again!!!

Unfortunately, this kebab shop has poor hygiene, there are pieces of kebab and bread crumbs on the floor. Don't go！ The staff there was very unfriendly, I said the wrong name of the product and a fat Turkish employee was very rude and kept asking me in a very unfriendly tone why I said it wrong even though I kept apologizing.

It's a real shame that there are no longer any kebab stalls with real tzatziki sauce. When I ordered I said extra with tzatziki and the kebab had a mush of mayo and garlic sauce. At least you could point out to the customer that it's not tzatziki but mayo. Then I would have left it out because I'm allergic to mayo. That's pretty much criminal. Never again. Thanks

There is really a great kebab plate here. Everything happened very quickly and we were very satisfied. We could sit upstairs, but it was still a construction site. But still highly recommended! Because the food was very good.

Went to the kebab house for the first time today. After we saw a bulgur roll on the menu, we wanted to know from the very unfriendly and rather annoyed young man behind the counter what the bulgur roll was. He pointed quite annoyed and bored at a Turkish specialty called “içli köfte”. This specialty is filled with minced meat. After we said, “Oh, then that’s içli köfte,” he told us in a very cheeky and unfriendly manner that this was a bulgur roll. After we showed the young man in Google what içli köfte is, he was probably even more annoyed because we were right and said no, it's a bulgur roll. Either the young gentleman should look for another job or let his boss tell him how to deal with customers and respond to customer questions. It is also not an advantage if you argue with the customer even though the customer is right, because this may lead to you never entering the store again and telling this incident everywhere - We traveled from Aschaffenburg to Düsseldorf and have Wanted to eat something there before our appointment, this unfriendly guy behind actually ruined our meal. What you show is something completely different. The customer has the right to inquire and question. After all, he pays money to be able to eat something. Maybe you should think about hiring a salesperson in a kebab shop like this who isn't annoyed about having to work behind the kebab grill on a Saturday. There were four of us, if we hadn't had an appointment and had been incredibly hungry we would have really left there. Without eating!!!!

I was really skeptical because there is this “House of Döner” hype, but the food was really tasty, the vegetables were fresh and crunchy, the sauces were really tasty and the hot sauce was especially a bit spicy and not run-of-the-mill like usual. The bread is freshly toasted and not normal kebab bread. If the garlic sauce were a little more concise it would be 5/5. Really delicious, there are also enough seats (and I think there is also a toilet?).

The food was nothing special Long waiting time. The chair I was sitting on was very unstable and the men's toilet was broken.

Super delicious Shawerma ( German Donner ). The service is amazing, nice young men serving and making the sandwiches. There are two types of bread you choose from, then you decide whether chicken or beef. Then added vigiyables and sauces are final choice I enjoyed. Thank you!

The kebab tastes really great, you can't fault it. But unfortunately hygiene measures are poor. Employees wear gloves for hygiene but do not change gloves after bin bags are changed or change is counted or drinks are refilled. Today I was able to observe how the employee, after doing everything I described above, immediately went behind the counter and took the bread out of the toaster. It's a real shame because the kebab itself is delicious.

Regarding the veal kebab, I find it hard to believe that it actually contains 95% veal. I bought one today and my initial opinion is tasteless and as dry as paper. I won't go there again and can't recommend it.

About half of the kebab spices in Taksim Square, Türkiye Stronger scent than Itaewon The portion size is large so it's good for takeout. A large coke costs 3 euros.

Giving it only a 3* due to 2 reasons 1. Plate was chipped 2. Exorbitant price of €14 for a Doner Teller. Not sure if it's this place or that's how expensive it's in Germany. Didn't find it that expensive in Belgium. Pros : 1. Excited to see the automation of the Doner machine 2. Fast service 3. Friendly cashier Cons : 1. Too pricey 2. Toilets not really clean downstairs 3. Dishes and cutlery can't be broken 4. Salad portion could have been more generous I understand they are full, but simple things could have got them a 5* instead of 3*.

Giving away reserved packs because too few were delivered. Which is perhaps understandable, but still very unpleasant for someone who reserved the things weeks in advance. There is a very very rude cashier guy there. Watchout for him. I think he does not like his job. Very friendly people there.
