We were back in the north after a long time. Since we were already here, we wanted to eat fish. This restaurant was recommended to us. "Really quaint," they said. And it was! We were greeted warmly as soon as we walked in. The ambiance is simple and uncluttered, typical of Frisian cuisine. Overall, very cozy and homey. The drinks arrived quickly, and the service was friendly and attentive. A comprehensive menu made choosing difficult. We ordered plaice, mussels, and the fish platter. For a starter, we had potato soup. Now comes the negative part. We initially mistook the soup for pumpkin soup based on its color. Unfortunately, the potato soup only tasted vaguely of potatoes. I have no idea what could have gone wrong. The plaice was perfectly fine. The mussels were very small and bland. The worst part, however, was the fish platter. The fried potatoes were very good, but the three fish fillets were completely overcooked. The worst part, though, was the instant sauce, which stuck to the fillets like pudding. It was supposed to be a lemon sauce, but unfortunately, it was more like a flour-based sauce. After a promising start, a bitter disappointment. Perhaps it's better to choose the meat products after all.

One of the best restaurants I have ever eaten at.

We were there on October 30, 2025. We booked online, which was very easy. The table for two was a bit small, but adequate. Instead of Jever, we had the Lager Premium and Dunkel, which were very good. The menu was extensive, with both meat and fish dishes. We opted for schnitzel made from free-range pork, prepared in two different styles. Both were excellent. The side salad is charged extra. So, our bill came to €70 including tip. The service was very friendly and attentive. The ambiance is typical of the coastal location. We felt very comfortable.

I highly recommend this restaurant; the service is first-class, and the steaks with baked potatoes and cheese are delicious.

If it were up to me, I would give the food two Michelin stars 🌟 🌟 and pay with singing, simply super, I can only recommend it.

Unfortunately, the food was nothing. We were very disappointed. The ambiance was great, and the service was attentive, even though we were often overlooked. Unfortunately, our schnitzel was very dark and tasted burnt. The very dark sauce looked promising, but unfortunately, it was very bitter and watery. The potato soup tasted very sour, and there was an oily film floating on top. Since it was a one-time visit, we didn't mention it there and then. But the blackened crust left on the edge of the plate should have spoken volumes. The leftover soup, too.

We stopped in here spontaneously. The ambiance and service were excellent, but if you're looking for something to satisfy your hunger between meals, the selection is limited. We had "small rolls" for €5, but they were really extremely small.

We were at the Haus der Getreuen in Jever for lunch on September 21, 2025, with three adults, two children, and a dog. The service was remarkably friendly and attentive. The food was delicious. High praise for the service; the place was packed, but everything was served quite quickly. Since we were seated in a large side room, the ambiance was a bit of a letdown. Everything was tidy and very clean, but the front restaurant is really cozy.

A classic brewery with a fitting ambiance and freshly tapped Jever beer, also available non-alcoholic. The menu offers a good selection, and the dishes are delicious and well-priced and portion-sized. The service is very attentive; a quiet spot, highchair, and the warming of our own porridge were very welcome.

We spontaneously stopped by for dinner yesterday. Very tastefully decorated, super friendly staff, and excellent food, too. A dream!

Unfortunately I have to give one star, but I wouldn't give any stars at all. The staff in the restaurant are so unfriendly. I have never experienced anything so unfriendly. Being shouted at and having to justify yourself is completely unacceptable. Even if you want to take a picture from outside, you only get rude questions and answers. If you want to show every customer that you're in a bad mood or don't feel like working at all, then go for it. But you shouldn't be surprised if you don't come back! That was the last time I was there! And I come from Jever. I don't even want to know how the people in the restaurant speak to holidaymakers! The poor holidaymakers! And what I'm writing here was not an isolated incident. It has happened to me several times, and only when I was walking past. That's completely unacceptable! NOT RECOMMENDED!

Delicious food, friendly service. Prices perhaps a bit ambitious. The portions are filling enough, but priced on the higher side. The "Frisian tapas with salad, house roll, and herb butter" were very side-heavy. A tablespoon of salmon tartare, a tablespoon of pickled mushrooms, half a herring fillet, and half a smoked trout fillet were served as tapas. Salad, bread, and butter, however, played the main role on the plate. Everything was very tasty, but a stale aftertaste remains given the €14.90 price tag for this dish...

I was kindly assigned a small table very quickly without a reservation, even though it was quite busy. I ordered a drink and the special of the day. The wait was reasonable. The meal/portion for €21.90 was not so good. The tomatoes were cold, not braised, and the piece of fish was tiny for a portion, so much so that the two ladies at the next table even remarked on it (they were happy they had chosen a different dish). When I politely asked the waitress if the portion was correct, I only received a regretful shrug. She could only bring out what she received from the kitchen. No more fish, no offer of compensation, no discount. A real shame for such a nice restaurant and a no-go in the restaurant industry. I work there myself 👎

We chose this restaurant during our vacation in Jever because of its appealing ambiance. The restaurant was already well-frequented and exuded a wonderful atmosphere. The staff greeted us very warmly, and we were served by the wonderful people of the place. Drinks and food were served quickly—no long waits, even though the restaurant was full! The food was excellent—both fish and meat, such as steak and schnitzel. The final highlight came with the Friesengeist (a Frisian spirit) with a Frisian saying recited. We had to order two. An absolute must when eating there. Overall, a 10/10; we would definitely go again :) Thank you for the great visit!

A wonderful address in Jever, every now and then a "Jever" truck passes by at walking pace.

Great food at fair prices. The service is extremely attentive and fun. A place you'll want to return to. Children are also welcome and have a wide variety of food to choose from. This makes a family visit truly enjoyable. The natural sunshade offers fresh air while also protecting you from the sun. Others should take a leaf out of this book instead of just umbrellas from beverage suppliers.

We've been coming to Jever for the town festival every year for years, and every year the "Haus der Getreuen" is a MUST! Such a great place! The staff and chef love what they do 👍, super friendly, super delicious!!! A wonderful ambiance, decorated inside with many small, loving details that always draw your eye around, and unbeatably cozy outside too. We highly recommend the "Mälzer Gockel" and the "Bäckchen vom Schwein" (pork cheeks), so tender that you don't even need to cut or chew the meat 😁! Conclusion: We'll be back next year!

I would have expected a bit more for the prices. When I raised my criticism, I was suggested to order another coffee or dessert.

The Labskaus was borderline good with its beetroot pieces and the cartilage in the meat. The fried egg was overcooked and the yolk was almost hard. The herring was incredibly salty. The gherkin was good, but the portions were too small. For the Jever brewery restaurant, a 0.5-liter bottle costs €5.90, which is high-end here in the north.

We received a very warm welcome. The seating under the plane trees is very comfortable. We had the Frisian tapas and potato soup. Both were delicious. The Frisian tapas were excellent and served appetizingly with three small rolls. Overall: definitely try it if you're in Jever—it's worth it.

You're a truly fantastic team, perfectly coordinated, neither inattentive nor intrusive. The perfect blend! The food is also truly top-notch, everything tastes perfectly balanced, and you absolutely don't need any seasoning. A few businesses here in the Ruhr area could learn a thing or two from you! The food was so-so, relatively expensive for an OK brewery kitchen. The staff was incredibly friendly and quick, and on a hot day, we even had a bowl of water for our black nose right in front of our Alster lake.

The tagliatelle with hake and the "Fish & Chips" (also made with hake) already showed that the two chefs have familiarized themselves with German cuisine. The "chips" are particularly noteworthy, as they weren't made from sticks, but gave the impression that raw potatoes had been sliced over a grater before being lightly fried. An extremely varied dish. Whether the remoulade was also homemade was impossible to determine. In any case, the amount of salad – and especially the balsamic vinegar used – caught my full attention. Unfortunately, with the beer, I made the mistake of choosing one of the products that didn't come directly from the restaurant. I couldn't taste peach or apricot in the Guinness version offered, but that might be my palate. Responding to the service question about 15 times is understandable when you consider that the vast majority of the staff aren't experts in the field. The care and design of the outdoor area suggests that—with good maintenance and the expected growth of the side plants—it will soon become a very pleasant spot for a warm summer evening. Currently, one can admire an artfully arranged canopy of leaves, which perfectly emphasizes the "brewery atmosphere."

We discovered it by chance a few years ago and fell in love. The staff is super friendly, not only to us but also to our four-legged companions. A water bowl is immediately provided. The food is delicious and lovingly prepared. You feel very comfortable here from start to finish. The beautiful terrace with its natural canopy is our favorite spot. We'd love to come back soon.

The Haus der Getreuen is part of the Friesisches Brauhaus in Jever. You won't find any fresher Jever anywhere. The food is outstanding, the service excellent. Always worth a visit. Reserve a table in the evenings and during the holiday season!

A lovely stay, a spontaneous online reservation worked out. If you're expecting a Michelin-starred restaurant based on the reviews, you're mistaken. But the HdG doesn't have that claim. It's a family-run business with a great team. Super friendly service, which makes even minor glitches seem forgiving. It all depends on how you handle such glitches. The food was very tasty, one starter and two different main courses. Both the quality and quantity were very good, and well worth the price. All of this is enjoyed in a very atmospheric setting. We certainly won't be visiting the HdG for the last time, and we're looking forward to our next visit.

A restaurant located right next to the Jever Brewery. The staff was very friendly, and the food was excellent. My only criticism is that I think €6 for a half-liter of beer is too expensive for a brewery restaurant.

We were very pleased with the exceptionally attentive service, and drinks and food arrived very quickly. There was fish and meat at reasonable prices, and we're already looking forward to our second visit to the "Faithful"!

We had a very good meal in a pleasant atmosphere. The service was attentive but not intrusive and very friendly. We paid just over €90 for two starters, a small dish with a side dish, two main courses, and five drinks. This was excellent value for money, as there was no room left for dessert. The portion sizes were good for the price. If you're interested, you should read the first page of the menu. A great sign of appreciation from the owner for his staff.
