My wife and daughter had a delicious meal. My Köfte however had little taste. Service was correct and friendly. All in all 4 stars.

Honestly, avoid it. You have to wait over an hour for meals that are almost frozen. But what's most disappointing is the price for the quality!! Very disappointing!!

I went to eat there and the food was delicious, but the portion was very small and scarce compared to the price!! I ordered Doli/Yalanji and it was only four pieces for 8 euros!! I also ordered meat pastries and it was only four pieces! The portion was small. But their yogurt was delicious. The staff was friendly.

Visited the Harem for the first time...the food was delicious...everything was freshly prepared...the service was a bit hectic, unfortunately.

We've been coming to Freiburg for dinner for a long time. This time we were very disappointed. The service had deteriorated significantly and was disorganized. No longer attentive. The pizza felt like a frozen pizza to us, even our daughter said it smelled like a frozen pizza with a bit of cheese on top. That's unacceptable, and then the price was overpriced at €12. SAC averages just under €20 A shame for us, the last time.

I rarely leave reviews for my meals because I assume that sometimes it might just not be to my taste. But this... it's an absolute disgrace. We arrived at 8 p.m. and placed our order (pizza, pasta, and a doner plate). After a 40-minute wait, we were told they were out of pasta. 40 minutes to tell us that! At this point, it's already disrespectful to the customer. Then we had to wait another 20 minutes to be served. And then, what a disappointment: The pizzas? Simple frozen Aldi-style pizzas, small, tasteless, and unworthy of a restaurant. The doner meat? Also frozen, with a bland, processed taste. The fries? Common frozen matchstick fries, nothing more. In short, after an hour of waiting, we ended up with a meal we could have bought ready-made at Aldi or Lidl, and for much less. Paying €12 for a frozen pizza when you get four for that price at the supermarket is simply a rip-off. Frankly, if we can't offer real homemade pizzas, then we don't put them on the menu. But having the audacity to serve low-end frozen food at exorbitant prices is pure contempt for the customer. This restaurant should simply be avoided.

I can't imagine this restaurant getting 4.5 stars 🥶 The food was a disaster 🤮 and the time we waited to get this disaster was too LONG 🤢... Minced meat tasted like disgusting rubber 🤮 Fries weren't any better... Doner meat plate, well, and very little... And all that for a lot, a lot, a lot of money... Simply a very bad experience 🫤 Even one star is too much for this restaurant... Go eat somewhere else and stay away from it 🤮🤢🥶🥵

The ambiance and service were OK, but the kofte (ground meat) tasted worse than the super-cheap frozen version, and even grilling it didn't help. And the price was unreasonable. It's a shame, the place has potential, but it didn't work out.

The meals were very nice and big portion sizes, especially the saç. Service is so so - we were sitting at the corner of the dining area. After choosing what we wanted to order, we were ignored for 10-15 minutes. When finally we managed to get the attention from the staff, we were met with a - “yeah? Do you have questions?”. - "Actually we wanted to order, but now you ask, we also have a question. What kind of mezes are included in the menu?" - "All of them 🙄". We then waited an hour for the food. The atmosphere is very interesting - Islamic religious scriptures, religious music, but alcohol is sold.

My friends and I ate here over the weekend. We were here first. We left the restaurant with a very positive opinion. The food was hearty and very tasty. I really enjoyed the rice and salad. The service was also professional and quick.

To be a guest at the Harem Freiburg means being a guest in a culinary world from a thousand and one nights. On our way to Colmar, we wanted to take a look at Freiburg and happened upon the Harem restaurant. It was lunchtime and all the tables were occupied except for one where someone had just left, so we took the opportunity, and what can I say? We'll be raving about the Harem for a long time to come 😊 The food was authentic and incredibly delicious, and as we learned from the waitress, Mutti herself cooks here, and yes, you can taste it. I don't really like eggplant or chickpeas, but what we ate here was fantastic. Thank you for letting us be guests at your establishment.

Unfortunately, you can only sit inside (not counting the 3-4 tables on the street where it's noisy). It's well booked and full, so unfortunately it's not quiet enough to have a good conversation. Very attentive service, the food was incredibly delicious, so it definitely gets 5***** stars. The prices are reasonable. The great thing is that they only serve whole euros, so you don't have to pay a cent :)

I've never eaten anything as delicious as this sac. We come to Freiburg from the Ruhr area every now and then. Every time we stop at the harem to eat there. It's incredibly good and the staff is really nice and funny! I'm looking forward to that one. next visit.

Die Kellnerin war zumindest freundlich. Als der Inhaber dann die Bestellung aufnahm, hat er uns glatt rausgeschmissen, weil wir nur etwas trinken wollten. Nie wieder! Nie wieder zu irgendeinem so unfreundlichen Menschen.

I highly recommend this Turkish restaurant! The food is simply delicious, especially the lentil sac - it's perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The appetizer platter is also an absolute highlight and highly recommended! The staff is extremely friendly! In addition, the food comes quickly, which makes the visit even more pleasant. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

It was the best lamb hair I have ever eaten in my life. The taste of the food was really great. I can say that it is the best place in the city that makes sheet metal. You should definitely try it. The waiters were also polite and friendly.

Nice ambience and nice service. As a main course, “Saç tava” is a generous and tasty portion. I can also recommend desserts like “künefe”.

It was the best chicken hair dish I have ever eaten, including Türkiye. If you go, you will see that the dishes prepared have a unique style and a wonderful taste with their sauces.

Serve frozen pizza and deny it!

Türkische Küche zu überhöhten Preisen. Die Linsensuppe zu 6 EUR kann man sich schenken. Das türkische Pfannengericht (Sac) mit Rindfleisch für 22 EUR schmeckte fad und lieblos. Sorry, aber da gibt es bessere türkische Restaurants. Einzig der Service war freundlich und die Altstadlage ist eben 1A.

Stopped for lunch and fairly random choice, but so glad we did, it was a great lunch menu and we had a couple of dishes that I cannot pronounce the German for, but were fabulous- chickpea and chicken based, both dishes were hot and tasty along with a Turkish rose wine. Very happy to recommend.

Turkish restaurant that completely convinced me, traveling from Stuttgart, Large selection of different Turkish dishes (starters, main courses with lamb and poultry. I was surprised by the large selection. The guest room is traditionally furnished and you immediately feel at home. It is also possible to eat outside in warm weather, I will gladly come again Ps. I personally ordered the appetizer for one person and the shepherd's pan (SAC KAVURMA) made from lamb meat that was mega good😍 Negatives I absolutely don't like the cola from the supplier sinalco or co no plan

This restaurant is so awesome. The food was fantastic. The atmosphere was very homey. The staff seem like a family with each other. We were treated very well and will come back in the future!! We had the Saç Kuzu, Chef Börek, and Sigara Böreği with minced meat. Everything was superb.

Another Turkish restaurant. I like restaurants where the waiter regularly makes rounds to ask guests what they're doing. The ambience is nice, not kitschy and not too overloaded, the room is bright and friendly. Only the food got 4 stars from me because the lamb chop was well prepared but very tough. The prices (I know what I'm comparing with) are relatively high.

Very nice Turkish oriental restaurant with really delicious food! Price performance is completely ok. The typical traditional oriental dishes are really tasty and are served quickly. The restaurant is bigger than you think at first glance! Just try it. I'll definitely go there again :)

Tolles Essen, große Auswahl, moderate Preise, freundlicher Service. Alles wunderbar und gerne wieder. Immer gut besucht, deshalb eher vorab reservieren.

Nach langer Zeit mal wieder im Harem gewesen und es war sooo gut wie immer. Ich könnte mich ins Sac Döner reinlegen. Die Kombination aus dem zarten Fleisch, Kartoffeln, Tomaten, Paprika, der mega leckeren Sahnesoße zusammen mit dem Fladenbrot ist top. Der Service ist sehr freundlich, man fühlt sich wohl als Gast.

Leckeres Essen (sowohl mit Fleisch als auch vegetarisch), lockeres Ambiente, keine lange Wartezeit obwohl wir eine Gruppe von über 10 Personen waren. Bedienungen alle sehr freundlich! Zu beachten: die WCs befinden sich im Untergeschoss.

Nettes Lokal mit gutem Speisen zu fairen Preisen. Bedienung ist höflich und zuvorkommend. Es gibt sich alkoholische Getränke, was in einem türkischen Restaurant nicht selbstverständlich ist. Man muss die Kellner aber etwas bremsen, um die Gänge nicht zu schnell hintereinander zu bekommen. Gerne wieder.

Eines meiner liebsten, türkische Restaurants in der Freiburger Innenstadt. Sehr umfangreiche Karte mit allem was das Herz begehrt. Überaus freundliches Personal..aber das wichtigste: Es schmeckt vorzüglich. Wer die Balkanküche mag, kommt am Harem nicht vorbei. Reservierung auf jeden Fall von Vorteil, der Laden ist immer voll!👍

Essen (Mittagstisch) war ein Genuss für unseren Gaumen. Preis/Leistung/Service TOP! Dies war nicht unser letzter Besuch ;-)

Es gab keinen normalen Döner oder Yufka zur Auswahl. Teller und größere Portionen kann man bestellen. Die Preise waren fingen im zweistelligen Betrag, ab 14 Euro an, also überdurchschnittlich teuer. Wir entschieden uns für Pizzen (ca 26 Durchmesser), diese wurden ab 11 Euro angeboten und die Dauer zwischen der Bestellung und Servierung war okay. Eine Döner-Pizza musste allerdings erneut bestellt werden, da sie nicht nach unserm Wunsch gefertigt wurde. Zwei Pizzen konnten von uns nicht fertig gegessen und genossen werden, da sie nicht appetitlich waren. Sie waren nicht ausreichend gebacken, zu matschig, der Spinat ungenießbar, etc. Der Ayran (Getränk) schmeckte ebenfalls nicht gut und war verhältnismäßig zu teuer. Uns hat auch der Dönerspieß gefehlt, die Menüs wurden im Inneren des Restaurants fertig gestellt. Das Essen war leicht überteuert und die Pizzen schmeckten keinesfalls. Mit der Bedienung haben wir uns insgesamt unwohl gefühlt. Das Ambiente in Ordnung.

Der türkische Kaffee war gut und kostete 3 Euro. Freundliche Bedienung. Vor dem Lokal sehr heiß, aber im Lokal angenehm kühl. Kartenzahlung bei Kleinbeträgen nicht möglich.

Super leckeres Essen, die Portionen waren super von der Größe, wir haben nichts übrig lassen müssen und waren danach satt. Preise sind für die aktuelle Zeit echt in Ordnung. Werde ich aufjedenfall weiterempfehlen.

Ich war hier früher ziemlich oft, für mich lange das beste türkische Restaurant in Freiburg, leider hat die Qualität des Essens in letzter Zeit gelitten, was früher perfekt gewürzt war schmeckt heute eher fad.

Super freundlicher Service, sehr leckere Speisen (hier gibt es auch ausgefalleneres, was man nicht bei jedem Orientalen auf der Karte findet) und zentrale Lage mit stimmigem Ambiente. Besonders Sac und Baklava sind zu empfehlen.
