This time, our visit there was a complete disaster. The service was completely overwhelmed and, after we were seated, just rushed past us. After 20 minutes of asking to order, they finally did. The drinks arrived relatively quickly, but then nothing arrived for over an hour. We asked what was wrong with our food, to which the only response was that the wait was an hour. Okay, but you can definitely say something like that before guests order to avoid problems. No communication with the guest! No apology or explanation for why we had to wait so long (it wasn't overly busy). And when the food arrived, it was only lukewarm, which was a shame and not worth the price.

We ordered two burgers and fries. The food was served super quickly, but unfortunately, it was almost completely cold. The garlic cheese fries were incredibly salty and cold, making them almost inedible. The burger was lukewarm and tasted okay. But it wasn't anything special. All of this for a much too high price.

Despite several major events in Leipzig and the fact that this restaurant was already well attended, we were able to get a spot on the spur of the moment. Super friendly, experienced staff. Fast service, delicious food. We'd happily return.

Long waits. The food has been better. Tables weren't particularly clean, burger sauces were almost empty at the table, the staff were friendly, cocktails were overpriced and tasted of nothing... lots of ice and hardly any alcohol... the worst mojito I've ever had for a whopping €10.90!

We were here for a birthday with a reservation for the town festival. It was packed, but the staff were on top of things. Our table was by the door and exposed to the draft. Our request to change tables was accommodated kindly. Thank you! The food and drinks were excellent. The ladies who took our orders and the ladies who brought the food were all so incredibly nice and friendly. Respect. I would happily recommend it. It's better to park at Bahnhof Ost because it's very expensive at Augustusplatz itself.

Reservation dated May 30, 2025 The waiters walked past us several times without taking our order. Our first drink took 35 minutes, and our food arrived after over an hour. There was a loudspeaker hanging above us, which kept getting louder, even though we asked for it to be lowered. The waitress was once again incompetent, and this was the last time we'll go there. She also gave rude replies. I would give the service even fewer stars, but that's not possible.

They have completely inappropriate opening hours for a restaurant on Augustusplatz. We went somewhere else.

We were there on May 30, 2025, at around 7:15 p.m. The German Gymnastics Festival was taking place in Leipzig at the time, with a large event taking place at Augustusplatz. There were 13 of us, including gymnastics festival participants. When we arrived, we were immediately told that there could be a wait of around an hour for our food. We accepted this and thought we would have a few drinks in the meantime. A waitress came relatively shortly after we looked at the menu to take our orders. Our group was seated outside at two tables, which we were not allowed to push together ourselves and had to sit separately. After taking our order, it took 45 minutes for the first drinks to arrive at our table. However, the order was not complete. It took another 10 minutes for other guests in our group to get a drink. In the end, the food took 1 hour and 20 minutes to arrive at our table. When the food arrived, one of our group still didn't have a single drink, despite asking the waiters three times. The burger I ordered was very tasty. The fries were very good, but only lukewarm to cold. My cocktail (Moskito) contained almost only ice and very little liquid. It also tasted very good, though. It seemed to us that the staff were very overwhelmed, despite the fact that the restaurant was only busy and not completely overcrowded. The interior could certainly have accommodated about 30 more people. Our initial assessment is that the bar team and other waiters were disorganized in their coordination with the serving of food and drinks. -Not an unsolvable problem. Drinks should be served promptly and quickly after ordering, and above all, in full. Refills should also be provided regularly and quickly. With the warning about the wait time for food, you can expect a longer wait. Fast drink delivery is a must! Conclusion: Lots of confusion with the orders, long wait times, but great atmosphere and delicious food.

Very centrally located at Augustusplatz, we were guests on Thursday – right in the middle of the European Gymnastics Championships. The staff were still super friendly, they were fully booked and only for the race. When we were seated after a pre-reservation, we were immediately told that the meal would take 90 minutes. That was fine for us, as it had given us advance warning. The food was delicious as usual, especially the truffle mayo. Drinks were also good, but unfortunately no creamy (virgin) cocktails. Kudos to the service and the kitchen; it was a tough day, but everyone was still friendly!

Sehr zentral erreichbar am Augustusplatz, waren am Donnerstag zu Gast - mitten in Turn-EM. Trotzdem superfreundliches Personal, waren voll belegt und nur am Rennen. Bei Platzierung nach Vorreservierung wurde uns gleich gesagt: Essen dauert 90 min. War ok für uns, waren ja dadurch vorgewarnt. Essen wie gewohnt lecker, besonders die Trüffelmayo. Getränke auch gut, leider keine cremigen (Virgin) Cocktails. Ein großes Lob an den Servicce und an die Küche, war ein harter Tag und trotzdem alle freundlich!

We had an excellent meal. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The selection of non-alcoholic cocktails is extremely interesting.

Hans im gluck is a great restraunt with a tremendous ambience.. No other restraunts are as beautiful as hans im gluck in leipzig specially.. The staffs are good and the foods are hygine enough. The smash burger and the Bravur salad bowl along with the knoblauch kase fritten is a must try item here.

Our only criticism is that the table booths are a bit small, and there's nowhere to lean. This can be a bit uncomfortable on a long evening with loved ones. Otherwise, everything was great. 👍👍

I was only there for a drink. The burger menu is really appealing, though, and certainly promises good things. Funny, the many birch trunks in the restaurant..."I think I'm standing in the woods." Not good... We were the last guests; they were busy clearing and cleaning. The opened burger sauces were left on the tables until the very end, and I don't think they were cleared away and refrigerated. I personally find it a bit worrying that they've been sitting on the tables for days.

The ambience is also great, whether you sit outside and look at Augustusplatz or inside with a beautiful natural effect. The service was also great. Save yourself the time, save yourself the food and save your money. Anyone who needs a lower end for their burger scale will find it here, it has helped me to appreciate some others more. The onion rings were too hard and dry at the Cross stage. The fries were lukewarm and limp. The burger was pretty bland and on top of that the kitchen managed to forget the only extra thing, there were no jalapenos on the burger but there were on the bill. I only noticed it when I got home because I picked it up and no, the fries weren't like that because of the transport. I ate two at once.

Good location, reasonably affordable prices, large selection of vegan burgers. Delicious meat burgers, large enough portions. Too much sauce for me, but that's a personal preference.

Food is good for a franchise chain, but the drinks with syrup instead of real juice reduce the overall value. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

A bit pricey (and the vegan and vegetarian options aren't much cheaper), but the menus are worth it; they're extremely customizable; you can substitute, add, or remove anything imaginable. Extremely well-suited for vegans and vegetarians; all sauces and sides are vegan, full sides of vegan and vegetarian burgers are available, and loaded fries are mostly vegan. The chicken was hard to bite through the outer layer for me, but that could be an isolated incident? Still super delicious. The ambiance is wonderful; everything is made of wood and plants, hardly any metal or plastic, but still perfectly clean. Unfortunately, the "chairs" are mostly benches and can't be moved. Maybe not ideal for wheelchair users, but they certainly have a solution for that. Service was very quick and friendly; they even helped me create the assembled burger from a different starting point for less money.

We had dinner at Hans im Glück Leipzig on Friday, April 25, 2025 around lunchtime. We know the chain and have already been to restaurants in Düsseldorf and Bonn. In this respect we can compare the service and the food. The service was a little worse than usual. It wasn't too crowded and we still had to wait a relatively long time to be served. We all ordered Cola zero and Cola, which was brought to us quickly. There was less ice in my glass than in the other 3 glasses. It was also partially melted. The glass didn't look completely clean. I went to the bar and immediately got a new one with plenty of ice. Very good! We all ordered 4 burgers, 2x vegetarian and 2x with meat and a large portion of fries in the middle. The burgers were good, of the usual quality. The patties were hot. But the fries weren't even lukewarm. I wanted to complain about it, but our waitress just didn't show up. I then got up and asked her to come to us soon. We had almost finished our burgers until the manager came over (our waitress actually came later too). I spoke to her and explained that the fries were cold. She was very understanding and took the fries with her. A short time later we received a new portion that was really hot. That worked well. I don't know if it was actually the manager, but she said that she was in charge and that we could contact her at any time if something was wrong. Overall, it was a pleasant stay with very small challenges, but they were solved satisfactorily.

The experience started disappointingly, waiting 15 mins outside in a queue, despite having a reservation which appeared to be due to lack of front of house staff / waiting staff to clear tables. However once we were eventually seated things improved. Tiana was a great server - really helpful and friendly despite appearing to be covering a large amount of tables. The food was tasty and reasonably priced. Drinks were good.

I don't even know where to start - the experience was simply fantastic! As soon as we arrived (there were six of us) we were warmly welcomed with a smile and immediately taken to our table. The service from all the staff is first class - you can really tell how hard everyone is trying to provide great service, which is unfortunately something you rarely see these days. The food was absolutely delicious – the burgers were particularly enjoyable! Even though the place was full, we got our food in less than 20 minutes. The atmosphere was super relaxed and positive. Thank you for this wonderful experience – we will definitely be back! My warmest congratulations to the entire team!

At first no one wanted to serve us, then every now and then someone came and told us that the order would be taken straight away, but nothing happened. Only after asking several times did someone come after almost 45 minutes. We hardly felt noticed, let alone taken seriously. After further waiting, only one meal was delivered - the second one wasn't until another 20 minutes later. In addition, the food wasn't even really warm and didn't taste particularly good (flaky, not spicy and too dry). The drinks were quite tasty. We won't be coming back! Tip: It's better to go to Peter Pane, Vincent or Burger King - the burgers taste much better there.

This visit was my first to Hans im Glück - and the beginning of many more visits to other branches. Our larger group's order was handled confidently and smoothly.

Nice shop. Very bad service. After waiting for an hour we finally got the drinks. Then after 1.5 hours the food came. Looked good but went straight back because it was freezing cold. The best thing was we were here with two children. Unfortunately, there was no solution to any queries. SHAME....

I'm not a customer, I'm a courier - and unfortunately I can't say anything positive about this restaurant. Every time I come, five employees walk past me without even looking at me or asking what order number I'm expecting. Orders regularly take over 20 minutes sometimes 45 minutes from the time I arrive, even though it's long past pickup time. Only when you stare at the employees and internally curse the whole place does someone slowly come around to the idea of ​​caring after about 10 minutes. For the people there, couriers are obviously not people. Some employees don't seem to understand that we serve their customers - not our own. These customers have paid and have a right to receive their food on time. But apparently no one here cares about that.

You have to wait forever for a waiter to order, get your food/drinks and also pay. Drinks were given at some point but no glasses were given. So drink from the bottle. You can pay online at the table, but unfortunately not with the most common payment card. So we wait again for a waiter. Food didn't convince me. There are much better burgers out there. Ambience very nice but very cold. We won't be coming back.

The irony is that you drive 500 km to finally end up in Hans im Glück. I've never been able to do this at home before. But good... During our visit to the Leipzig Book Fair we chose the "Hans im Glück" at Augustusplatz when choosing food. To be fair, I can only include as much review as I was able to experience during our take-out ordering process. The uncomplicated online ordering process was definitely positive. Selected, added to cart, paid via PayPal and done. It's also nice that you can choose the pick-up time yourself. So here we go. When you walked in it was like walking into a forest. Decorative tree trunks everywhere. Almost too many, as it became a bit confusing. A sign at the entrance asks you to wait until a service person welcomes you. No sooner said than done - but unfortunately we must have had a bad day because no one came. We were skillfully ignored by the employees at the counter. Furthermore, it wasn't so crowded that they all must have been overwhelmed. It wasn't until I went to the other entrance after a few minutes that I was noticed by the only waiter who was running around frantically. From then on things continued to be uncomplicated. Name and order number given - food received. Here's something quick to eat: It was delicious. Burger nicely grilled, fries homemade and nice and crispy. I will give “Hans im Glück” another chance in the future. Maybe it really was just bad timing.

So we waited over an hour. We already ordered online and are waiting and waiting... Too slow for a burger restaurant... and it's more expensive than the well-known Bürgerrestaurant... I contacted the same day using the link and asked for a response -- unfortunately, to no avail, and no response yet. Probably a standard reply in the comments 🤔
