As someone who has to eat a strict gluten-free diet, it was a wonderful feeling to simply order what I wanted – without lengthy explanations or worries. The smash burger was fantastic, and the fries were delicious too. Many thanks to the very friendly and service-oriented team for this little slice of quality of life. I was absolutely disappointed by the deplorable state of the place, the food, and the way customers were treated. I would strongly recommend that the owner send his staff to a customer service training course, because it was truly outrageous. I wanted to pay and was repeatedly told to do so before the employee finally remembered that payment was downstairs, where I then had to wait in line for ages. There was plastic on my burger! If nothing changes here, definitely don't go there.

I was thrilled with how Hans im Glück implemented their gluten-free week offerings. Finally, a chance to eat gluten-free without having to worry – and at such a high standard! The food was delicious, the selection was fantastic, and it was a truly enjoyable experience. This is how dining out should be! 👏✨

For almost €40, I expected more. The whole place was empty. Gluten-free food just isn't for everyone. And when you put it on the main menu instead of keeping it on the side, it's no wonder the place is empty. Then, to pay almost eight euros for sparkling tap water as a juice drink seems too expensive to me. Plus, the seating is very uncomfortable.

Since our last visit, the menu has expanded considerably, and a very good selection has been added. The food itself is also very tasty. I find the price a bit too high, even though the food is of very good quality. The staff seems a little overwhelmed with orders; there was a mistake in our order, and the next table had one as well. However, the main reason for only 3 stars is an absolute no-go in the restaurant industry: there was a staple in our food! The waitstaff apologized immediately, brought a replacement, and even added a free portion of fries as compensation.

For anyone who likes burgers and the like, this is the right place to go.

I walked in and was immediately struck by the beautiful ambiance. The food and drinks were outstanding. The service was excellent and speaks for itself.

The atmosphere is actually quite nicely designed and furnished (the concept is well-known...). However, there are some special considerations, especially for winter. It can get cold in winter. This means that the seats in the front area are practically unusable. Even with the door closed, there's a strong, cold draft. Furthermore, the music is quite loud. You have to speak quite clearly and even forcefully. One advantage is that you don't hear annoying conversations from other people. So, this is a recommendation for dining with unwanted acquaintances ;) The menu selection is consistent. The same cannot be said for the quality of the food. It's more in line with your average fast-food restaurant. However, "quick" is a good segue. The food arrived very quickly. The kitchen, however, was a bit slow. (The restaurant was only a quarter full.) The service was often inactive, even after asking for the bill several times, and somewhat rude. Important: An improvement to the glass front is absolutely essential. Besides my feet getting cold, the cold smoke from the smoking area outside repeatedly drifted onto my food during the meal. So, the food not only smelled like an ashtray, it tasted like one too… Please improve.

Everything was great. We'll be back.

Despite it being Christmas market season, we got a table immediately. The food was incredibly delicious and the service very friendly. There was a good selection for all dietary needs.

My favorite restaurant, always with super lovely, friendly staff. The food is always incredibly delicious and really filling. Everything is welcoming, bright, and, importantly, spotlessly clean – there's no unpleasant smell when you go to the restrooms! It's the best place in Göttingen if you want a cozy meal. I'm happy to take the bus for an hour because I look forward to going to "Hans im Glück" for a delicious meal. The burgers are really tasty, just like everything else there. The servers are always attentive, and you don't have to wait long; everything is served promptly. The food is never cold or tastes bad; everything is fresh and beautifully presented. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to eat delicious food. Oh, and the interior design is fantastic – I've never seen anything like it anywhere else. We always go there when we're in Göttingen.

Overall, a very nice restaurant with a really lovely atmosphere. A minor drawback, though, because there was a tomato on the burger despite having ordered it, but it wasn't a big deal. Otherwise, everything was good. The service was also excellent.

My family and I were at this restaurant a few days ago. We had to wait 40 minutes for our food, and there were some long hairs in my daughter's dish. My daughter had a stomach bug the following day, but we're not sure it came from this restaurant.

The Double Smash Burger tasted okay, but my boyfriend found the patties a bit thin and the burger quite small (good value for money). The caramelized onions (which I had ordered as an extra) were somehow missing from my veggie burger. My daughter's burger was too dry. The service was friendly, the kitchen delivered super quickly, and the atmosphere is really cozy.

The food was good as usual, but unfortunately, there have been a few times when something was forgotten in my order, which is annoying. Otherwise, it's good.

Overall, the lunch visit today was okay. However, it took about 30 minutes for the food to arrive, apparently due to construction work in the kitchen. On the other hand, the Double Smash Burger wasn't a true Smash Burger, unfortunately... The prices for both lunch and dinner were rather expensive for a burger chain.

If there were no star, it would be well-deserved today. We reserved a table for 6 p.m. We were able to place our food and drink orders relatively quickly. We wanted to eat before an event at 8 p.m. After we asked about the food at 7 p.m., we were assured it would be ready in 10 minutes and that cancellation would not be possible. The food arrived after 7:30 p.m., which we reordered for takeout. We noticed that the order was also incorrect. We decided not to exchange it because we wanted to be on time for our event. We asked if we could negotiate a discount, which we were kindly granted. In the end, we were supposed to pay for three dinners, but we were waived for a salad, a small still water, and an iced tea. Due to time constraints, we did the math on the way and realized we had actually overpaid. Namely, over €84, while a dinner menu costs just under €24. Sad.

The food was rather average, and the prices were high. The burger wasn't particularly impressive.

I paid around €22 for a burger on the lunch menu, including fries and a drink. Absolutely unacceptable. I wonder what kind of lunch menu that was. Personally, I wouldn't go back. The food was okay, but really nothing special.

Essentially, all Hans im Glück branches are the same: the usual good quality, pleasant atmosphere, and friendly staff. Drinks and food came quickly, and the restrooms were clean. Given the temperatures, air conditioning would have been nice, but it worked.

Yes, well-made burgers, fries are OK, and the staff is friendly and attentive. Unfortunately, there's no really affordable lunch menu (similar to Peter's Break at Peter Pane).

The classic smash burger is delicious, the "beyond meat" (vegetarian) burger is even better, and the accompanying salads are excellent. Service is a bit slow, but the size of the place justifies this. It's definitely better to sit at the outside tables (the inside is of questionable taste, both in terms of the decor and the music).

I'm torn about the pricing. The visualization of the prices on the menu is misleading. I assumed the €12.90 evening meal included a burger, fries, and a cocktail. It's actually a good price. Only when I was paying did I find out that I had to pay an additional €12.90 for the burger in addition to the price of the evening meal. Since I also had an extra drink, it ended up being almost €32. Over 60 DM for one burger, one fries, and two drinks is really a lot. The menu needs to be better designed.

We discovered "Hans im Glück" in Frankfurt and were pleasantly surprised to see it in Göttingen as well. We love their burgers, which they serve in creative variations. Better than any standard burger chain and much more creative than the new American chains.

From day one, I've been thrilled with Hans im Glück. The vegan burger selection is fantastic. And of course, the drinks are too. I also like that there's often something new, which makes you want to try it. But I miss the sweet sweet potato fries.

I'll definitely never order from here again. When I ordered through Lieferando, the delivery time was stated to be between 40 and 55 minutes. After a 60-minute wait, the portal showed a remaining delivery time of another 35 minutes. When I inquired by phone at the restaurant, the colleague on site became increasingly entangled in contradictory statements about when the restaurant had received the order, whether the food was already being prepared or not, when it would be delivered, where and with whom I could or could not cancel, and wouldn't let me finish my explanation, etc. In the end, I resigned myself to the fact that two hours after ordering, I would receive a meal I actually didn't want anymore. Twenty minutes after the Hans im Glück employee vehemently explained to me that I could not cancel the order at the restaurant under any circumstances, I received a cancellation confirmation from Lieferando by email. I can understand that being present on platforms like Lieferando is a huge challenge for restaurants. The very least I want as a customer is open and reliable information. Here, I had the impression that suitable excuses were invented depending on the question.

It was an all-around lovely visit. The staff was super friendly and helpful, but not intrusive. We never had to wait long. The food was delicious and the drinks were beautifully presented. I'd be happy to go back.

Thoroughly enjoyed my burger (Birkenwald). Came in a large group of 18. Service was fast, wait staff was very friendly and helpful. We actually enjoyed the food so much that we went back a second time!

Very friendly and fast service. Food was prepared quickly and arrived hot at the table. New menu - very good selection of vegetarian/vegan alternatives. Ordering/paying at the table via QR code is optional. I would recommend making a reservation for the evening. The design features birch trunks and plants, as in all the chain's stores - I personally like it a lot. Seating at the tables is on a felt-covered bench (without padding or backrest). This may be problematic for some people.

The reviews here are spot on! We were served by a young woman who was very friendly! She took her time with the customers and kept an eye on everything! The food here is quite good, with fresh ingredients and delicious fries. The burger is good. The ingredients are fresh except for the meat on the burger. I suspect it's a frozen product and it was quite dry. Maybe they should get something fresh instead. All in all, though, it's a classic place, and the price is reasonable.

We would have liked to eat something there. When no one came from service outside (but we could definitely be seen through the window), I asked politely inside after half an hour. The answer was (quote): “Outside is closed!” (Of course we could have known). We then ate at the potato house 5 meters away, it was very tasty.

The service was also great, questions could be answered and explained in detail, a plus point here too. I found the food to be very disappointing. I ordered the pepper bag and then had to read the ingredients again when I got the burger. The multigrain bun was okay, but the burger overall was far too tasteless. If you hadn't known that there was supposed to be a pepper crust and a correspondingly spicy sauce, you wouldn't have noticed. If you try the individual components separately, you can definitely get an idea of ​​the taste. The mushrooms didn't really come into their own either. The meat is certainly delivered ready and frozen as you cannot choose the degree of doneness, again very tasteless. Overall, far too expensive for my taste with a burger, coleslaw and a beer for around €30. For me personally, the price-performance ratio is not right here in any way. Since ultimately the taste and the price are very important, I unfortunately can't give a better rating. Ultimately, I would not visit the restaurant again.
