Super friendly service and great burgers

One Saturday evening, we were strolling through Göttingen and came across the burger bar "Große Liebe." We received a friendly welcome. We were immediately shown a table. The chairs are very comfortable, and the ambiance is excellent. The food and drinks we ordered were prepared quickly and tasted delicious. We ordered burgers, and for a small surcharge, we were able to order a small salad instead of fries. It's the perfect way to end a Saturday evening in a relaxed atmosphere. The staff is friendly, welcoming, and helpful. We'll definitely be back again in such a pleasant atmosphere.

The burgers are super delicious and definitely worth the price, as are the wraps. The best part is the fries. They're perfectly crispy, have a great potato flavor, and come with them for no extra charge. The food and drinks are definitely worth the price. An absolute recommendation for anyone looking for a relaxed evening with delicious food and cocktails.

All in all, we were extremely satisfied yesterday! Very attentive service, we felt very comfortable, the cocktails were excellent and met our taste and expectations, the burger and fries were really good – everything was just right. It won't be our last time there – top notch!

Hello and greetings from Berlin, This restaurant/cocktail bar was very inviting as I walked by, looking for a drink or something to eat. Very friendly and quite fast service, very courteous and professional. I came here for a couple of cocktails, but then managed to get something to eat. The Mai Tai was very good and the tarte flambée even better. The location itself and the restrooms are clean and well-maintained. Highly recommended!

As a former restaurateur, I'm a real eye-catcher. Here at "Große Liebe," everything is just right. A very attentive owner, you're immediately greeted and served with respect. The menu is simple, yet high-quality. I had the vegan tarte flambée. They even showed me what kind of sour cream substitute they use. I thank you so much and would gladly come back. Please keep it up!

Eine total nette Bar mit freundlicher Bedienung und stylish hergerichtet. Der Cappuccino war großartig und der Bacon Cheeseburger mit total knusprigen Pommes auch. Man konnte ihn einfach mit der Hand essen, wie es sich für Burger gehört. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!

Very nice and tasty restaurant. The burger is gigantic and comes with fries included. Even though the bun wasn't really crispy, it tasted very good overall. The ambience was nice, but I thought something was missing. There were only two guests there and the music was very quiet, so everything was noisy and you didn't really have the feeling of privacy. But that shouldn't stop anyone from trying the nice service and good cuisine. You can park one street further. In the end, the two of us counted a total of €50.

I was invited there for a birthday and was pleasantly surprised by the great fries 🍟 and a really great cheeseburger that you can eat with your hands 👍👌 because for me there is nothing worse burger 🍔 eating with a knife and fork 👌 deduction for the ambience only for the fact that you sit pretty much back to back on the benches downstairs 🤷‍♂️

The restaurant seems friendly, so we went in without a reservation and luckily got a seat. The waitresses are very, very (!) friendly. My Aperol Spritz was a bit thin, but the other drinks were all good. The burgers all taste really great. The tarte flambée wasn't quite my taste. I've simply eaten better ones. But the burgers are clearly the main business here and they are really, really good!!

Nice atmosphere, unfortunately the burger was overpriced for the price. Ban, patty and sauces tasted like ready-made products. For the price I expected a better burger in terms of quality and taste. Hopefully the burgeria around the corner will be open again the next time I'm in town.

A super nice restaurant. The food and drinks are super tasty and can only be recommended. The owner and all the waitresses are extremely friendly and attentive. All in all, an absolute recommendation if you want to eat out in Göttingen.

Was really uncomfortable. The photos on the shop window do not correspond to reality. Unfortunately it didn't taste good. Waiter was way too pushy. You didn't feel comfortable.

We had 3 super tasty burgers. 2x classic, 1x chicken. Beautifully soft burger buns, classic burger sauce, everything freshly prepared and hot. Portions are large - we still ate everything. As I said…really delicious 😉. Non-alcoholic cocktail was also good. Nice and attentive service. Clear recommendation!

A very tasty vegetarian burger - as we all know, it can be very mixed. A really decent portion, the ingredients are fresh, the taste is great, I think the price is absolutely right for the quantity, you pay significantly more elsewhere. Expand with toppings. Super friendly service, delicious cocktails! I just found the portion of sweet potato fries to be significantly smaller compared to the others, but there was an extra charge. Maybe it was a coincidence (but still sufficient, of course)

The store looks great and has a great atmosphere. The staff is very friendly. What was disappointing were the burgers and the cocktails. You would expect a lot more from a store that focuses on both offers. The burgers taste cheap and dry and the bacon was completely overcooked. There was hardly any alcohol in the cocktails (we had Long Islands and a mai tai). I wouldn't visit the restaurant again.

Ce restaurant m'a été chaudement recommandé par mes collègues, et je dois dire que je n'ai pas été déçu, bien au contraire ! Ils proposent une variété impressionnante de burgers, y compris des options végétariennes, tous de taille XXL qui satisferont même les plus gros appétits. Et le meilleur dans tout ça ? Les prix restent tout à fait raisonnables. Je suis totalement conquis par cet endroit !

A great place for generous and quality burgers in the city center of Göttingen. I went there after recommendations from work colleagues, and I don’t regret it! Burgers of all kinds, including vegetarian, in XXL size which remain at reasonable prices. I agree with it!

My absolute favorite shop. I love the ambience here. The food is great if you like burgers and salads. The new offerings such as the tarte flambée variations and the waffles are almost on a par with the burgers. The service is always fun and quick to serve. After almost 2 years, I still love coming here and I think it will continue to be that way.

The food was OK. There are better burgers but also significantly worse ones. The shop is very nicely decorated and actually invites you to linger. However, not really recommended for families with children, unless they are tied securely to their seats. Too bad...

It is not a safe place for women ! A little more than two years ago I went there with my partner, family and friends. One of those days the guy (the owner, I'm sure you all know him) comes over because we want to pay the bill with a friend and we could only pay with cash, so I decide to go to withdraw the money. When he sees that I want to go to withdraw, he approaches us and proposes that WE CAN PAY HIM ANOTHER WAY!!!! We did not understand what he meant, so he insisted with his gestures what he meant. You can imagine what he meant. It was a humiliating moment of total exposure for us who were alone there. Please, if something happens to you there too, say so. Silence is not an option!

We had the bacon cheeseburger and a beer. Burger decent size and nice and juicy. Fries are included in the menu, so the price is fair. For a small additional charge you can switch to sweet potatoes or have additional toppings put on the burger. Highly recommended.

Today we are looking for a great location for lunch with 3 kids and 3 adults. We found this great shop. It was an absolute stroke of luck! We were warmly welcomed, served wonderfully and the food was simply A1. The kids were treated really well and the team was just really welcoming! We would love to come back.

Went there for the first time and we thought it was very nice! The chili cheese burger, chicken bowl and sweet potato fries were really tasty, not too spicy, not too dry, crispy, just delicious! The cocktail was very well prepared and fresh. Staff was very nice and attentive. When we are in Göttingen again, we will come again.

Almost €18 for a bacon cheeseburger, so you expect that at least the patty and/or the bun are homemade. And unfortunately almost no better than at McDonald’s. You felt like you were being watched by the service the whole time. However, they are nice and friendly.

Were there a few days ago and can't necessarily recommend it. Had the falafel burger with fries on the side. Besides 2-3 slices of cucumber and tomato, some lettuce and the falafel patty that probably came straight from the frozen food store, the burger really wasn't anything special. Rather the opposite. Toasting or roasting the buns a bit would probably be helpful. For the price of €16.80, I expected a lot more from the burger and have already gotten it in other restaurants. We weren't offered any cutlery either, which made eating the fries unnecessarily annoying.

Food was good, service was great and the location very convenient. We liked the burgers and but they had only 2 vegetarian options in burgers which was a bit sad. I had the falafel burger which comes with fries the food was delicious and I liked the presentation of food, it was quite unique.

We were there at lunchtime during the week. We were treated super friendly. The menu is clear and there is a great selection. The burgers were nice and big and the fries were super crispy. I added a little egg on the burger and that wasn't a problem either. Prices and services are right here. We really enjoyed it and will stop by when we're back in Göttingen.

Ordered Gin Basil Smash and asked beforehand if they made it fresh. Answer “Yes, of course!”. Then he comes and he is BROWN!!! Explanation: yes, we make it in the mixer the evening before. 🫨. Leude, a Gin Basil should neither be prepared the day before nor in the mixer!! Otherwise you can find the recipe on Google. And the fact that the blonde waitress gets mushy is actually 0 stars!

I only rate the food: We had the classic 2 hamburgers with cheese. And unfortunately we were very disappointed... The meat was not tasty, it tasted almost like nothing. The well-known hearty beef taste didn't come through at all. Which really irritated us. 😅🤔 We're just wondering why that is? Is it perhaps a very special type of beef? Let's come to the burger patties: they were very simple, cheap thin patties that weren't particularly good. We personally prefer fresh patties or at least ones that are a little thicker. That's why we don't think the price is justified. The fact that the menu says that there is over 200 grams of meat on the burger doesn't change that. What I also think is a shame is that negative criticism is generally rejected. Accepting criticism and doing it better might make more sense.

Delicious burgers and good cocktail

Service, location top - as already often described. Beer (Allgäuer Bübble) pretty good too! A little criticism is allowed - in my opinion there are plenty of burgers and fries - but the taste is just average. It is completely clear and understandable that you cannot sell a burger with fries for 10 euros in these times - but given the prices quoted here, my expectations of the patty and the remaining components of the burger were not met. If you add one more step here, I'll be happy :-)

Wir hatten zu Dritt Burger, die allesamt sehr gut waren. Auch die Cocktails wie z.b. Hugo waren gut, ebenso das moderne Ambiente! Der Service war ebenfalls nett. Nix zu meckern! Nur die Eingangstür benötigt eine Reparatur - man denkt, der Laden ist geschlossen, weil die Tür zu schwergängig ist! Wir kommen bestimmt wieder, wenn wir reinkommen….

Where the average rating of 4.6 stars comes from is a mystery to me. The burgers are gas station quality. The patties are ready-made, the rolls and the fries are like from a discount store. Charging prices of 18 euros for this is simply outrageous. Can't even begin to keep up with the usual average level of burger competition. The staff seems unprofessional. No head coverings are worn in the kitchen and you are asked to pay at the cash register. Incredible!

Richtig gute Burger und leckere Cocktails. Der Service ist zuvorkommend. Gerne wieder. Das Essen wird richtig schön angerichtet und die Portionen sind toll. Insgesamt eher kleine Karte, was ich aber als positiv empfinde. Tendenziell etwas teurer, aber für den guten Service und das tolle Essen bezahle ich gerne 1-2 Euro mehr.

Nice local with super nice and attentive service. I took a burger menu, unfortunately the citizen is nothing special, I would rate it as standard 3/5 points and the prices are quite steep, but still a really nice local which is definitely worth a visit if you want to sip a cocktail :)

Unfortunately, techno isn't my thing and that was on all the time... but that's a matter of taste... if you like that, you're definitely in good hands there. The service and food were quite good and the staff friendly! Unfortunately, the manager/owner didn't really behave in a customer-oriented manner. Therefore only 3 points in total... it's a shame there could actually be a lot more.

The employees were friendly and the food we ordered came super quickly. That was great. In terms of food, the visit was unfortunately very poor. Fries are good, burgers unfortunately not. We had the chicken burger. It came out of the bag with a burger bun that was big but not particularly toasted or anything special. The patty was a very thin, very small pressed patty, also from the convenience department, which a chicken walked past in a friendly manner, but judging by the taste there shouldn't have been a lot of meat in it. The sauce tasted like Danish tartar sauce, but it all seemed a little homemade and more like a finished product. Disappointing in taste, for the price.

We were at Große Liebe on Saturday lunchtime. The atmosphere is cozy and the service is very attentive. We weren't happy with the food. With a 226g meat patty, we just find the burgers to be much too powerful. The industrial bread roll has no taste. The presentation in paper bags, a pan and ketchup/mayo in portion packs is certainly a matter of taste, we didn't like it. We won't be coming back.

Excellent staff and super delicious fresh food

Unfortunately I can't say what the food tasted like because we had left the restaurant beforehand. A table for six was ordered, two canceled. Was this discussed by the “boss”? excited... something like that wouldn't work at all, etc. Just saying, the place is 70% empty. You will never see me there again because some people seem to interpret the word service provider differently.

Very tasty food at an absolutely fair price. For us the best burger in Göttingen (and we have actually tried many…). Very personable manager. :) For the extra fun factor: take a seat by the large window. We will be back definitely.

Unfortunately really disappointing. The falafel burger for 16.80 mainly consists of a ready-made burger bun with salad. The burger patty covers maybe just under half the area of ​​the bun. None of it is homemade or sophisticated in any way. Just thawed everything and fried it. The prices are far too high for that. Unfortunately we won't be coming back.
